This week we put the F-All in Fall Brawl! We start off HOTTER than an AEW Press Scrum as Steve has a gripe with the EVPs of AEW and their "mistreatment" of CM Punk. Meanwhile, Jeff defends the wrestling "Elite" for their actions after the scrum as they stand together to defend a poor ROH schlub named Colt Cabana. Who's right? Who's wrong? You decide! Plus, why in the world are Adam Page and Sammy Guevara in a World Title tournament when they've been accused of starting real drama with two AEW stars? We review AEW All Out 2022, tell you what is the most AEW thing they did during the Casino Battle Royale; explain a major plot hole in the return of MJF; we give our predictions on the new AEW World Champion, who should be the new flagbearer for AEW? We make a case for Luchasaurus turning into Psychosis 2022; review WWE Clash at the Castle; keep bringing up BANGERS to Jeff; give Sheamus his flowers; play peek-a-boo with Dexter Lumis; gush over Mickie James last match tour on Impact, and discuss the latest wrestling news, notes, and ratings. If this wasn't enough, we also receive a call from "Velveteen Dream" and tell you when Mindy's Bakery in Chicago is open.

In this AEW Dynamite 6/8/22 review, I share thoughts on Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O'Reilly in the main event and the continued build to Forbidden Door. You can listen above or via your favorite podcast app or read the show notes below. The main highlights are also available via the transcript below. Show Notes Jon Moxley earning his shot at the Interim AEW World title at Forbidden Door Kyle O'Reilly winning the battle royal AEW introducing the All Atlantic title Wardlow revealing his next goal Will Ospreay making his first AEW appearance A potential Thunder Rosa vs. Toni Storm feud For more AEW discussion, you can follow me on Twitter @wrestleblake. Transcript It is the AEW Dynamite 6/8/22 review, as that's the focus on this episode of All Elite Daily. And as we said going into it, a lot of the talk would be surrounding the two big matches that we're going to take place on Dynamite. That involved the Battle Royale to determine who would face Jon Moxley in the main event, and as expected, it is going to be Jon Moxley headed to Forbidden Door to take on the winner of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Hirooki Goto. But a lot of other noteworthy stuff came out of AEW Dynamite. One, in particular, is actually going to be the focus of our Friday episode. We'll get to that here in just a second. But let's start with the main theme, which was the Interim AEW World Championship and look at the possibilities. That's where we start things off by looking at the Casino Battle Royale. There were a lot of things about the battle royale that stood out. I think one of the things immediately was something that we talked about - the injury situation for AEW right now. That is looking at guys like CM Punk, of course, who is out. Bryan Danielson has been sidelined for at least a week or two now. Adam Cole, as we've said before, is expected not to wrestle until Forbidden Door. Then as we will also discuss, they had a different direction for Wardlow. So some of your top stars were not in this Battle Royale. And I think that made it kind of interesting from the standpoint of going back to the AEW rankings. I've said from the start, I think rankings are a good idea. But there are many times when they limit you more than help you. I think this is one of those situations where people have been ingrained to pay attention to these rankings. But yet, when you have a Battle Royale like this, you don't really feel like there's a lot of people in here necessarily that are at the top of those rankings. Eddie Kingston, I thought, had the biggest reaction of anyone. And I think there is money to be made there with an eventual Eddie Kingston title run. I don't know when that's gonna happen. But you want to talk about what I think would probably be one of the biggest pops that AEW could have from its fan base right now - I think that would be the moment that Eddie Kingston wins a world championship. But that's a story for another podcast. You did have Kingston, you had Darby Allin, you had Rey Fenix, you had Swerve and Keith Lee. They had their interaction and there was Swerve eliminating Lee. I don't know what that means moving forward for their their team, but that was something that was notable in there as well. Konosuke Takeshita was in there. He was involved. And again, he's someone who I think has come in and impressed. I think he's done a good job. There were other guys that were in there. Wheeler Yuta got a good reaction. Andrade was the final entrant. And I thought at that point, Andrade would actually be the one that would win. I did start to believe that because I think that would have made sense. But it just didn't happen. And they decided instead to go with Kyle O'Reilly, who I've said, I think is really one of the most underrated guys in wrestling in terms of his in-ring ability. Everyone knows that Kyle O'Reilly can go in the ring, but he hasn't necessarily always gotten that main event opportunity. We know what he accomplished in NXT. Recency bias is a thing, and I think with O'Reilly, the way he finished his run in NXT, was just sort of the cool character and all this other stuff he was playing. It just did not feel like what fans wanted from Kyle O'Reilly. But when you look at what he's done in AEW thus far, he's had a hell of a run. He looked great in that match, most recently, at Double or Nothing against Darby Allin. I thought that was a fantastic match for one that was just thrown together, seemingly out of nowhere to put on pay-per-view. I thought it was really good. So O'Reilly winning was basically nothing more than it's just a means to an end. Yes, perhaps if you loaded this Battle Royale up a bit more with what felt like top challengers, maybe you could have made it a little more appealing to put some doubt in people's minds that it wasn't going to be Jon Moxley winning the main event. But I mean, like it or not, once O'Reilly won, it made it very clear that it's gonna be Jon Moxley winning. At the very least, you get a good main event and I felt the main event was great. These two were gonna beat the hell out of each other. They did, and it was a fantastic main event. That was just sort of the role that this Battle Royale served was to get Jon Moxley from point A to point B and this served its purpose no matter who won. It was good for O'Reilly, I think gives him a little bit more of a push. He's beaten Darby Allin, he's won this Battle Royale. He's been someone that Tony Khan has certainly put a lot of faith in and yeah, he's delivering in the ring. So it was nice to see Kyle O'Reilly kind of getting some recognition here. But again, it's like, how many battle royals do you really look back on and say, "Oh, that was just a great battle royal that is so memorable." There's not a ton. Battle royals are what they are. I'm not a huge fan of the Casino Battle Royale style. I don't love the concept. You're just putting a lot of guys in the ring. And that's what you did here. When you don't have the star power you would expect maybe going in just based on the rankings, it just becomes a battle royal. There was not a lot of memorable stuff coming out of it.....

On the Buy In pre-show, Jurassic Express & the Best Friends beat the Hardy Family Office. After the match, The Butcher returned to AEW TV after a long layoff to beat up on Orange Cassidy. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, September 3, 2021. Shannon Spruill - better known to pro wrestling fans as Daffney - has died. Daffney made her debut with WCW in 1999, and won the company's Cruiserweight Championship the following year. She later wrestled for TNA and various independent promotions. Injuries shortened Daffney's in-ring career. Her last match was over a decade ago, though she continued to make appearances for different companies over the years that followed. Her death was announced on Thursday. Daffney - Shannon Spruill - was 46. ... If you are in crisis, or just need someone to talk to...help is available. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 1-800-273-TALK. That's 1-800-273-8255 ... (STINGER: WWE) WWE is promoting a HUGE match for tonight's SmackDown. Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against Finn Balor. On Thursday's NXT UK… Teoman beat Nathan Frazer in a first round match in the Heritage Cup #1 Contender Tournament. A timely distraction by Rohan Raja helped Teoman get the deciding pinfall in the fifth round. Also on the show, Emilia McKenzie pinned Amale with a rollup. The advertised match between Blair Davenport and Nina Samuels never happened. Davenport attacked Samuels during her entrance. That drew out Sid Scala...and Davenport laid him out too. Scala was later seen sporting a neck brace. It was announced during the show that Aoife Valkyrie suffered a knee injury during her match last week...and will be out indefinitely. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Rampage is the last stop before Sunday's All Out pay per view. Darby Allin faces Daniel Garcia in the main event. CM Punk will be on commentary during that match. Plus, Malakai Black vs. Lee Johnson… Kris Statlander in a 2-on-1 Match against Jamie Hayter & Rebel… And we'll hear from the TNT Champion Miro. Riho has been added to the Women's Casino Battle Royale at All Out. That leaves us with only ONE unannounced entrant for the match. During a media call on Thursday, Tony Khan confirmed that most tapings of AEW Dark will be moving to Universal Studios in Orlando. Khan also said he's planning to do international touring next year...specifically in the United Kingdom...and also looking to do shows in the western half of the United States, including bringing the Double Or Nothing pay per view back to Las Vegas. (STINGER: ROH) The semifinals in Ring Of Honor's women's title tournament are on this weekend's ROH TV. It's Angelina Love vs. Rok-C...and Miranda Alize vs. Trish Adora. The winners will face off for the gold at the Death Before Dishonor pay per view. Also on this weekend's show, Shane Taylor Promotions vs. La Faccion Ingobernable in an 8-Man Tag Team main event. (STINGER: New Japan) Tonight's New Japan Strong has - and I can't stress this enough - Josh Alexander vs. Daniel Garcia in the main event. Plus, TJP vs. Rey Horus...and Hikuleo vs. Matt Morris, who's better known these days as Matthew Rehwoldt. Back in Japan, New Japan is running back-to-back days at the MetLife Dome in Saitama this weekend. Saturday's show has Hiroshi Tanahashi defending the IWGP United States Championship against Kota Ibushi in the main event. Kazuchika Okada goes up against Jeff Cobb. Chase Owens defends the 2021 KOPW Trophy against Toru Yano in an “I Quit” Match. Roppongi 3K explodes...as SHO and YOH clash one-on-one. Plus, IWGP Jr. Champ Robbie Eagles & Tiger Mask vs. Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI… AND a special Stardom tag match: Momo Watanabe & Saya Kamitani vs. Maika & Lady C. Start time is 3:30AM Eastern on Saturday. (STINGER: Impact) Impact Wrestling's X-Division Champion Josh Alexander will defend his title at Victory Road...against Chris Sabin. Sabin challenged Alexander on last night's Impact...right after Alexander had beaten Dave Crist to retain his X-Division Title. Crist had answered an open challenge for a title match. Last night's main event saw Ace Austin beat Tommy Dreamer. A distraction by Madman Fulton allowed Austin to hit The Fold and get the pin...and that keeps Austin's title shot at Victory Road against Impact World Champ Christian Cage a one-on-one match. Check out the new episode with special guest Daniel Eads right now wherever you get your podcasts. (STINGER: AEW). The 100th episode of AEW Dynamite is at the Now Arena outside Chicago tonight. It's the first of three straight AEW shows at that venue, culminating in Sunday's All Out pay per view. A new match was just added to tonight's card: Penelope Ford vs. Tay Conti. Also tonight, Cash Wheeler returns for the first time since his gruesome arm injury..as FTR take on Santana & Ortiz. Kiera Hogan has been added to the Women's Casino Battle Royale at All Out. On last night's Dark… Joey Janela beat Robert Anthony. After the match, a mystery woman ran into the ring and POWERBOMBED Anthony. She left with Janela. Her name wasn't mentioned on air, but we now know she is professional bodybuilder Kayla Rossi, who's apparently only a few months into her training for pro wrestling. Also last night, QT Marshall pinned Evil Uno with a Diamond Cutter...and Pac submitted Matt Sydal with The Brutalizer in the main event. (STINGER: WWE) Sarray scored a countout win over Mandy Rose on last night's NXT. I'll explain. Sarray hit Rose in the face with her signature low dropkick. That sent Rose to the outside, but instead of getting back into the ring, Rose's pals at ringside - Gigi Dolin and Jayce Jane - covered Rose's face with a towel and they all rushed backstage. Later, Dolin and Jane laid out Sarray backstage. LA Knight pinned Johnny Gargano with his headlock DDT after Gargano got distracted by InDex antics at ringside. Tommaso Ciampa pinned Ridge Holland with Willow's Bell in last night's main event. Pete Dunne tried to jump Ciampa after the match, but MSK were there to make the save. MSK will defend the NXT Tag Titles against Dunne's cohorts Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch on next week's show. Roderick Strong beat Ikemen Jiro. Also, Strong's Diamond Mine faction added a couple members - Brutus & Julius Creed - real-life brothers Drew & Jacob Kasper, who both have strong amateur wrestling backgrounds. NXT Women's Champ Raquel Gonzalez beat Jessi Kamea in a non-title match. Kyle O'Reilly submitted Duke Hudson with a heel hook. Imperium's Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner beat Drake Maverick & Grayson Waller. Also announced for next week's NXT, Zoey Stark & Io Shirai will defend their women's tag tiles against Kayden Carter & Kacy Catanzaro. Asuka posted a picture of herself on social media Tuesday...showing herself now sporting a brace or cast on her left arm. Asuka hasn't wrestled a match since the Money In The Bank pay per view. (STINGER: ROH) Former Ring Of Honor World Champion Rush is recovering from surgery. The exact nature of the procedure is not clear. However, we do know Rush suffered a knee injury at last month's Glory By Honor shows. His family is promising to share more information at a press conference NEXT Thursday. On this past weekend's ROH TV...Angelina Love found a way to get past Max The Impaler. Love beat her via disqualification to advance in the ROH women's title tournament. Trish Adora pinned Allysin Kay to advance in the tournament. Also on the show, TV Champ Dragon Lee pinned Eli Isom to retain the title. An upset on last night's NWA Powerrr!
