Good morning nerds! We hebben dit een keer een extra lange Nerd Culture voor je klaarstaan waarin we uitgebreid ingaan op wat we hebben gezien deze week: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Robocop Director's Cut en natuurlijk de alom bejubelde episode van Ahsoka. TMNT Mutant Mayhem Review We trappen deze week af met TMNT Mutant Mayhem. De nieuwe Turtles reboot van Seth Rogen is vanaf deze week digitaal verkrijgbaar in de Amerikaanse stores, wij zullen echter nog eventjes moeten wachten. Desalniettemin heeft onze Huey Brown de film al gecheckt en laat hij je hier weten of de lovende kritieken terecht zijn. De film staat boordevol met celebrity voiceovers en cameo's, maar kan het ook de hart en ziel van TMNT dragen? Qua bosoffice gaat het okay. De film kwam uit tijdens Barbie en Oppenheimer, maar wist alsnog wereldwijd $152 miljoen op te halen waardoor de film vrijwel op zeker vanaf nu winst zal gaan maken. Is het je zuurverdiende centjes en aandacht waard? Je hoort het van Huey. Ahsoka Episode 4 Het blijft toch de community en de redactie bezighouden: Ahsoka. Het liefdeskindje van Dave Filoni dat nu eindelijk haar live-action serie heeft gekregen. De serie wordt niet razend goed bekeken maar lijkt wel te kunnen rekenen op positieve kritieken. Aflevering 4 zou nu dan ook het beste moeten zijn wat we tot nu toe hebben gezien van de show. Is Huey het hiermee eens of is het precies wat we van Disney Star Wars verwachten? Aflevering vijf lijkt er nog eens een schepje bovenop te doen want deze is maar liefst 49 minuten lang en zal zelfs in sommige Amerikaanse bioscopen gedraaid gaan worden. Castlevania Nocturne laat zich voor het eerst zien Bij Nerd Culture zijn we altijd al een fan geweest van Castlevania an sich, maar ook zeker de anime serie op Netflix. Na het succes van de eerste paar seizoenen kregen we al te horen dat er spin-offs aan komen en daar zien we vandaag nu de eerste trailer van. Het heet Castlevania Nocturne en het vertelt de origin story van Richter Belmont tijdens de Franse revolutie.
