"Jeg så at kvinnen var beruset av de helliges blod og av blodet av Jesu vitner. Da jeg så henne, undret jeg meg meget." (Åp. 17,6)Dette er fra Johannes' syn som han fikk se inn i Himmelen og inn i framtida. Og så kan vi lure på hvorfor undret Johannes seg så, når han så denne kvinnen her? Han så kvinnen i et anna syn, tidligere, som den utkårede med himmelsk prakt, som ved sin tro på Jesus, fødte Ham fram i verden. Det kan vi lese i kapittel 12 (1-5). Og slik kjente Johannes Kirken i fra sin samtid (2. Joh. 1,1). Men nå så han henne som ei hore; troløs, kledd i verdens glimmer og stas (v. 4). Var det mulig? Kunne Kirken falle så dypt? Historiens gang har bekreftet det, og vi ser stadig nye eksempler i vår tid.Kontrasten er stor til den himmelske brud, som vi kan lese om i kapittel 21, et bilde på de som holder seg trofast til Jesus og Hans lære (Apg. 2,42; 2. Kor. 11,2, Åp.12,17). Der er mye som går imot den sunne lære, men vi er kalt til å holde fast ved den, står det (1. Tim.1,10; 6,3; 2.Tim. 4,2-5; Tit. 2,1-15). Det vil føre til motstand, men løftet er klart: "Lammet skal seire over dem, for Han er herrenes Herre og kongenes Konge, og de som er med Ham, de er kalte, utvalgte og trofaste." (v. 14). La oss være trofaste og holde ut!Ja, la oss ta med oss de ordene i dag, slik at vi blir obs på forførelsene i vår tid, som vil dra oss vekk i fra Jesus, den Ene elskede, så vi kan holde fast på læren Hans og på Ham, den nære og gode relasjonen. De kennis dat jij een denkgeest bent, in de Denk geest en zuiver denkgeest, voor eeuwig zonder zonde, volkomen zonder angst, omdat jij uit liefde werd geschapen. Je hebt jouw Bron niet verlaten, want jij bent nog steeds zoals je werd geschapen. Dit werd jou gegeven als kennis die je niet kwijt kunt raken. Het werd eveneens aan elk levend wezen gegeven, want door die kennis alleen leeft het.Jij hebt dit alles ontvangen. Er is niemand die op aarde leeft die dit niet ontvangen heeft. Het is niet deze kennis die jij geeft, want dat is wat de schepping heeft gegeven. Dit alles kan niet worden geleerd. Wat moet jij dan vandaag leren geven? Onze les van gisteren bracht een thema naar voren dat je in het begin van het tekstboek vinden kunt. Ervaring kan niet rechtstreeks worden gedeeld op de manier waarop dat met visie kan. De openbaring dat de Vader en de Zoon één zijn zal mettertijd tot iedere denkgeest komen. Toch wordt dat tijdstip door de denkgeest zelf bepaald, en niet onderwezen.Het tijdstip is al vastgesteld. Het lijkt totaal willekeurig. Toch is er geen stap langs de weg die iemand slechts toevallig zet. Die is al door hem gezet, hoewel hij nog niet op weg is gegaan. Want het lijkt slechts zo dat de tijd één richting uitgaat. We ondernemen slechts een reis die al voorbij is. Toch schijnt ze een toekomst te hebben die ons nog onbekend is.Tijd is een kunstgreep, een goocheltoer, een immense illusie waarin figuren als bij toverslag komen en gaan. Toch zit er een plan achter alle verschijningsvormen dat niet verandert. Het draaiboek is geschreven. Wannéér ervaring een eind komt maken aan jouw twijfelen staat vast. Want wij zien de reis slechts vanaf het punt waarop ze eindigde en kijken erop terug, terwijl we ons inbeelden dat we haar nog eens maken; en we zien mentaal opnieuw wat is voorbijgegaan.Een leraar geeft geen ervaring, omdat hij die niet heeft geleerd. Ze heeft zich aan hem geopenbaard op haar vastgestelde tijd. Maar visie is zijn geschenk. Die kan hij rechtstreeks geven, want de kennis van Christus is niet verloren, omdat Hij een visie heeft die Hij aan ieder geven kan die erom vraagt. De Wil van de Vader en de Zijne zijn verenigd in kennis. Maar er is een visie die de Heilige Geest ziet omdat de Denkgeest van Christus haar ook aanschouwt.Hier vindt de vereniging plaats van de wereld van twijfel en schaduw met het ontastbare. Hier wordt een rustige plaats in de wereld geheiligd door vergeving en liefde. Hier worden alle tegenstrijdigheden verzoend, want hier eindigt de reis. Ervaring – niet geleerd, niet onderwezen, niet gezien – is er eenvoudigweg. Dit ligt voorbij ons doel, want het overstijgt wat moet worden bereikt. Onze betrokkenheid geldt de visie van Christus. Die kunnen we bereiken.De visie van Christus kent één wet. Ze kijkt niet naar een lichaam en verwart het niet met de Zoon die God geschapen heeft. Ze aanschouwt een licht voorbij het lichaam, een idee voorbij wat kan worden aangeraakt, een zuiverheid die niet getemperd wordt door vergissingen, beklagenswaardige fouten, en angstige gedachten over schuld voortvloeiend uit dromen over zonde. Ze ziet geen afscheiding. En ze kijkt naar iedereen, naar elke omstandigheid, alle voorvallen en alle gebeurtenissen, zonder de gering ste verflauwing van het licht dat ze ziet.Dit kan onderwezen worden, en moet dat ook door allen die haar willen bereiken. Dit vereist slechts het inzicht dat de wereld niets kan geven wat hiermee in waarde ook maar in de verste verte kan worden vergeleken, noch een doel kan stellen dat niet gewoon verdwijnt zodra dit waargenomen is. En dit geef jij vandaag: zie niemand als een lichaam. Begroet hem als de Zoon van God die hij is, en erken dat hij in heiligheid één is met jou.Aldus zijn zijn zonden hem vergeven, want Christus heeft de visie die de macht heeft aan alle zonden voorbij te zien. Het doet er niet toe welke vorm ze aannamen, noch hoe kolossaal ze leken, noch wie door hen gekwetst scheen te zijn. Ze bestaan niet meer. En alle gevolgen die ze schenen te hebben, zijn met hen verdwenen, ongedaan gemaakt, om nooit meer te worden veroorzaakt.Aldus leer jij te geven zoals je ontvangt. En aldus beziet de visie van Christus ook jou. Deze les is niet moeilijk te leren, als jij je herinnert dat jij in je broeder alleen jezelf ziet. Als hij in zonde verloren is, moet jij dat ook zijn; als jij licht in hem ziet, zijn jouw zonden door jezelf vergeven. Elke broeder die jij vandaag ontmoet, verschaft je een nieuwe kans om de visie van Christus over jou te laten schijnen en je de vrede van God te schenken.Het doet niet ter zake wanneer de openbaring komt, want die behoort niet toe aan de tijd. Toch heeft de tijd nog één geschenk te geven waarin ware kennis op zo'n nauwkeurige manier weerspiegeld wordt dat haar beeld haar ongeziene heiligheid deelt, en haar gelijkenis straalt van haar onsterfelijke liefde. We oefenen vandaag in het zien met de ogen van Christus. En door de heilige gaven die wij geven, beziet de visie van Christus ook onszelf.
