In this episode, I dive into the essential topic of delegating key tasks to a membership community manager.I walk you through the specific responsibilities that have made the biggest impact for us, and why freeing up your time is so crucial as your membership grows.I also share helpful advice for anyone considering hiring their first community manager, plus tips on how to get started if you're unsure what tasks to pass on.If you're looking to take your member experience—and your own sanity—to the next level, this episode is for you!In this episode:What key tasks should you delegate to a community manager in a membership business? How does a community manager enhance the experience for new and existing members? What role can a community manager play in keeping engagement high and answering member questions? What's the best way to start when hiring a community manager, and how do you tailor the role to your membership's specific needs?Key Quotes & Takeaways:"You can't be the rock star and the roadie. Your time, your attention is best spent on the things that only you can do. Things that are centered around really harnessing your expertise and turning it into content, turning it into coaching, turning it into opportunities to give your community access to you. That's going to take up enough of your time. And that's just the stuff where you're working in the business.""(The role of a community manager) is much more about being almost a concierge of sorts, about suggesting that other people join the conversation, about pointing them to other resources or even tagging myself, you know, if it's something that we know that I need to chime in on them going in there and tagging me to kind of bump it up my priority list." "If you know that you want to level up things with your member onboarding, but you just don't have the capacity for it, then these are some key things that your community manager could bring to the table."Thank You For ListeningWe really appreciate you choosing to listen to us and for supporting the podcast. Eric Barstow graduated with an economics degree, seemingly destined for Wall Street. Instead, he stuck with the painting business he started in college—a side hustle that was already generating $110,000 a year while he worked only five to ten hours a week. Realizing the massive opportunity and low competition in the home service space, Eric leaned in. Today, he is the co-founder of National Painting Group, projecting $35 million this year, and runs Painting Business Pro. And guess what? He barely knows how to paint.Eric's entire model proves entrepreneurs don't need trade skills to build a multi-million dollar service business; they need systems. His strategy relies entirely on leveraging subcontractors—a method that fixes profit margins, eliminates liability, and perfectly manages seasonal slowdowns. He reveals his exact tactics for finding reliable subs (including his specific Craigslist and paint store strategies) and shares the "Phase Zero" marketing hustle needed to land your first customers, including his scripts for door-to-door marketing. He details his proven sales process, including how to use price anchoring and specific incentives to close deals on the spot, and breaks down the financial model required to maintain a 20% net profit margin. If you want to build a highly profitable business without ever picking up the tools, this episode is essential listening.Takeaways:- You do not need to be skilled in the trade to build a successful trade business; Eric is an awful painter, but he excels at building marketing, sales, and management systems. - Leveraging subcontractors instead of employees is the most efficient way to scale a service business, as it fixes your margins (fixed price per job), reduces liability, and allows you to scale up or down instantly with seasonal demand.- Find reliable subcontractors by posting ads twice daily in both the "general labor" and "skilled trades" sections of Craigslist, or by approaching painters in unmarked vans at local paint stores.- In "Phase Zero" (getting from $0 to stability), focus only on marketing that generates leads quickly, such as door-to-door sales and lawn signs. Avoid long-term plays like SEO or vehicle wraps.- A highly effective lawn sign strategy is placing them near high-traffic retail areas (like Costco or Whole Foods) on a Friday afternoon, as city workers are unlikely to remove them over the weekend.- Use "price anchoring" in your sales process. Before showing the contract, verbally tell the customer the typical price range for a job their size (e.g., "A house like this is usually about $6,000") to reset their expectations.- Create urgency and close deals on the spot by offering incentives that also benefit your business, such as a small dollar amount discount (never a percentage) if they sign that day or agree to take an urgent open spot on your schedule.- You should aim for a 20% net profit margin. A healthy budget allocates 50% to labor/materials, under 10% to marketing, 6-7% to sales, 6-7% to project management, and 7-8% to overhead.- The market size is irrelevant; success depends on implementation. Eric has clients doing millions in revenue in towns with populations as small as 27,000. - Build the business around your desired lifestyle from day one. By setting firm constraints (like working only 30 hours a week or never on weekends), you force yourself to build efficient systems rather than just working more hours.Tags: Business Skills, Service & Consulting, Subcontracting, Marketing, Home ServiceResources:Grow your business today: https://links.upflip.com/the-business-startup-and-growth-blueprint-podcastConnect with Eric: https://paintingbusinesspro.com/

(A soul-nourishing conversation on intention, transformation, and real inner peace What if peace isn't something you find, but something you practice? In this week's episode of The Robyn Ivy Podcast, I'm joined by author, global peace ambassador, and longtime friend Sid McNairy for a conversation that's as grounding as it is expansive. We open with a short guided meditation, setting the tone for a dialogue rich in wisdom, mystery, and presence. Together, we explore what it means to journey into the far reaches of ourselves and our understanding of the spiritual forces that guide our lives. For many of us that's God, for others the Universe, quantum physics and beyond. We talk about how to work with the unseen with intention, how your relationship with peace can evolve into a spiritual practice, and how accessing true clarity comes from within. Sid shares powerful stories—from his early years coaching football to his near-blindness, DMT experiences, plant medicine journeys, and spiritual awakenings. We talk about his days teaching yoga, winning the World Peace Award and how meditation led him to surrender more fully, trust his intuition, and why stillness isn't weakness—it's a portal. Whether you're a coach, creative, leader, or someone longing for deeper alignment, this episode is packed with soulful insight and practical tools for living on purpose—even in chaotic times.

When what once worked… no longer fits. You've built a life that looks good on paper-but something inside you knows you're meant for more. Not more hustle, but more depth. Not more strategy, but more alignment. It's a threshold—and how you move through it changes everything. In this potent solo episode, I'm naming the exact moment many high-level leaders reach but rarely talk about: the quiet, restless, in-between place where your old identity no longer fits, but your next chapter hasn't fully emerged. Through stories, insight, and experience from coaching top performers and creatives, I offer a fresh way to approach growth, not as self-improvement, but as honest evolution. You'll learn: How to recognize and navigate threshold moments in life, leadership, and creativityWhy setting 3 clear parameters can radically increase momentum and decision-making clarityWhat kind of support actually works when you're already successful—but seeking something deeperWhy finding a “truth-telling space” (outside your usual circles) is essential to keep growing with integrity. Whether you're expanding, plateauing, or just craving a new kind of freedom—this episode offers a space to pause, reflect, and reimagine what's possible.
Do you feel trapped in a therapy or psychiatry relationship that feels stagnant, unsettling, or just plain wrong? This episode pulls no punches as hosts Gabe Howard — who lives with bipolar disorder — and Dr. Nicole Washington — a board certified psychiatrist — tackle the uncomfortable question most people think about but rarely voice: “How, and when, is it time to part ways with your mental health professional?" This direct and practical conversation cuts through the guilt, the logistics, and the myths about “ghosting” therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors. Dr. Nicole explains when walking away is OK, when to be careful (especially with meds), and why honest communication can actually be beneficial to you as the patient. Gabe brings the patient perspective — what it feels like to doubt care, to fear being “difficult,” and some tips to tell if the problem is the professional, your stage in recovery, or just a bad fit. Takeaways You don't have to explain, but honest conversation is usually the healthier choice. Plan transitions first: “Ghosting” can create dangerous gaps in your care. Ask for records and time your switch to minimize treatment disruption. If you've ever wondered whether you owe the professional an explanation, how to keep medication continuity, or what to ask on day one to avoid a mismatch later — this episode is for you. Expect blunt truth and step-by-step strategies to move on responsibly so your recovery doesn't skip a beat. Our host, Gabe Howard, is an award-winning podcast host, author, and sought-after suicide prevention and mental health speaker, but he wouldn't be any of those things today if he hadn't been committed to a psychiatric hospital in 2003.Gabe also hosts Healthline's Inside Mental Health podcast has appeared in numerous publications, including Bipolar magazine, WebMD, Newsweek, and the Stanford Online Medical Journal. He has appeared on all four major TV networks, ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX. Among his many awards, he is the recipient of Mental Health America's Norman Guitry Award, received two Webby Honoree acknowledgements, and received an official resolution from the Governor of Ohio naming him an “Everyday Hero.” Gabe wrote the popular book, "Mental Illness is an Asshole and other Observations," available from Amazon; signed copies are available directly from the author with free swag included! Our host, Dr. Nicole Washington, is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she attended Southern University and A&M College. After receiving her BS degree, she moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to enroll in the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma in Tulsa. Since completing her residency training, Dr. Nicole has spent most of her career caring for and being an advocate for those who are not typically consumers of mental health services, namely underserved communities, those with severe mental health conditions, and high performing professionals. Through her private practice, podcast, speaking, and writing, she seeks to provide education to decrease the stigma associated with psychiatric conditions. Find out more at DrNicolePsych.com. Larry Puckett is a world-renowned venture capitalist and entrepreneur who's grown businesses from humble beginnings to multi-million dollar companies in finance, technology, distribution, and now all-natural supplements. Despite starting with very little, Larry's career arc is one of persistence, reinvention, and finding repeatable success—especially when life (and business) go sideways. On this episode we talk about: Growing up with hardworking parents, learning about scarcity, and developing a relentless work ethic cutting lawns and hustling for every dollar Learning (by necessity) that hard work doesn't always equal good money—and why working harder for someone else isn't the long-term answer Early entrepreneurial setbacks: pouring money into a golf apparel company without building an audience, failing fast, and picking up critical lessons for the next time The first real business win: starting an industrial lighting company that grew by focusing on client relationships and solving a basic, boring problem better than competitors Missing the “obvious”—the lesson in seeing (or overlooking) the next big vertical when you're too close to your own business Making the leap (twice) from a steady, high-paying job to bet it all on a vision: burning the bridges, sacrificing luxuries, selling personal items, and even delivering groceries to keep the dream alive The challenge and opportunity of entrepreneurship at 50+—why it's never too late to dream bigger or set a new example for your kids (and grandkids) Evolving from MLM to corporate roles, then to launching Theon Global—a debt-free, e-commerce supplement brand that went profitable in its first three days entirely through organic, audience-first marketing Mistakes in business partnerships, trusting too fast, and learning that doing it yourself (with the right people) is often best The importance of a mission-driven business: helping people live healthier lives with all-natural, all-organic alternatives Top 3 Takeaways You're Never “Too Late”: Larry relaunched at age 50+—after big wins and major losses—proving age and circumstance are rarely the true barriers to entrepreneurship. Boring Businesses Can Bring Big Wins: Success doesn't require inventing the next “hot” thing; doing the basics better than anyone else is a winning formula. Risk is Required—But Stack the Deck: Burn the bridges if you must, but minimize regret by preparing financially, learning from every setback, and building around proven audiences. Notable Quotes “We just stopped cold turkey...but about nine months in, it went from a lot of money to nothing. That's when we decided: there's no going back. We're burning the bridge and selling everything.” “You only lose if you quit. And the regret of not doing it will always outweigh the risk of trying.” “Business is about fundamentals: solve real problems, build audiences, create something people need—then serve your customers and your team really, really well.” Connect with Larry Puckett: Website & Products: theonglobal.com
Send us a textWelcome to the Episode:In today's episode, we explore a question that's as old as the Church itself: Should I get married—or stay single? It's a question shaped by culture, personal longing, and spiritual calling. We turn to 1 Corinthians 7:1–7 to hear Paul's wise, pastoral, and often surprising counsel on marriage, celibacy, sex, and the spiritual gift of each.Whether you're married, single, widowed, or unsure of what's next—this conversation is for you. Let's challenge cultural assumptions, reframe singleness as a calling, and re-centre marriage as a covenant of mutual love and responsibility.Episode NotesKey Themes:Challenging Cultural Assumptions: Our world links happiness with romance—but Scripture has a different vision for human flourishing.Marriage and Celibacy as Gifts: Paul affirms both marriage and singleness as God-given callings—not commands or defaults.Intimacy and Responsibility in Marriage: Marital intimacy is a mutual, sacred duty—not a bargaining chip or personal right.Celibacy Is Not Second-Class: Singleness is not a failure or waiting room for marriage—it can be a vocation of focused devotion to the Lord.Spiritual Discernment: The real question isn't “Which is better?” but “What is God calling me to?” Takeaways:You are not incomplete if you are single. You are not more spiritual because you are married.Sexual intimacy in marriage is a sacred, mutual obligation—not a tool for control.Singleness is not a delay of purpose—it can be the purpose. The key question: Do you have the gift?Final ThoughtIn a world confused about identity, desire, and devotion, Paul's pastoral insight cuts through the noise: God's will for your life isn't about your relationship status—it's about your faithful response to His calling.Support the showTo listen to my monthly church history podcast, subscribe at; https://thehistoryofthechristianchurch.buzzsprout.com For an ad-free version of my podcasts plus the opportunity to enjoy hours of exclusive content and two bonus episodes a month whilst also helping keep the Bible Project Daily Podcast free for listeners everywhere support me at;|PatreonSupport me to continue making great content for listeners everywhere.https://thebibleproject.buzzsprout.com

The burning question on every wannabe podcaster's mind: do I really need a podcast coach? Spoiler alert: no, you don't *have* to have one, and you could just jump in, flail around, and figure things out for yourself. But let's be real for a sec. Imagine setting off on a cross-country road trip without a GPS. Sure, you could just guess which way is west, but wouldn't it be easier to have a reliable map guiding you? That's what a coach can do for your podcasting journey. They help you dodge the potholes of bad equipment choices, terrible hosting services, and the dreaded burnout that comes from setting completely unrealistic goals. If you want to avoid looking like a podcasting rookie who doesn't know the difference between a media host and a media hoax, a coach can be your best friend. Even legends like Oprah and Michael Phelps have coaches. So, if you want to level up your podcast game and not just play in the kiddie pool, maybe consider getting a coach. But hey, if you want to go it alone, just know you'll be doing a lot of guessing along the way.Takeaways: You only need a coach if you want to avoid mistakes. Hiring a coach can save you from buying the wrong gear and using the wrong platforms. Just like GPS helps you avoid traffic, a podcast coach can guide you through common pitfalls. Even big names like Oprah and Bill Gates have coaches, so maybe there's something to it after all! A good coach helps refine your goals and keeps you accountable, which is pretty darn useful. Without a coach, you might just be wandering around like a lost puppy in the podcasting world. This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: OP3 - https://op3.dev/privacy

Why do you keep starting things you don't finish? In this episode, Pastor TJ Tyus dives deep into The Law of Sustainment — a principle that reveals why we struggle to remain consistent. It's not just about discipline. It's about identity. If your self-image doesn't align with your goals, your efforts will always collapse. Pastor TJ shows how aligning your inner beliefs with your divine calling is the key to sustaining lasting change. He also shares vulnerable moments from his own life — from dealing with road rage to raising his kids — showing how becoming must happen in the dark before you can shine in the light. Takeaways: You can't build what you haven't become Your fruit is suffocating under unhealed roots Becoming like Christ starts with unlearning the lies Until you align with God's image of you, you'll fall short of your calling
In this episode of the Orange and Brown Talk podcast, Dan Labbe and Lance Reisland delve into various aspects of football strategy, focusing mostly on the defensive side of the ball. They start by discussing the importance of choosing between the best available talent versus scheme fit during the draft, Jim Schwartz's defensive philosophy group-by-group, the roles of defensive linemen, linebackers and cornerbacks. They wrap up by discussing the significance of special teams, even talking a little about long snappers. Takeaways You win with players, not schemes. Defensive linemen create madness in the backfield. Linebackers are “covering kicks.” Pressure is more important than sacks. Safeties tell the truth in coverage. You lose games with blocked punts. Special teams operations must be elite. Long snappers are specialized roles. In this episode, Joi Cuartero Austin is joined once again by Erik Reader for a lively and insightful conversation around the concept of Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper (LQC) — a placemaking approach that emphasizes small-scale, low-cost, and fast-to-implement strategies for revitalizing public spaces and neighborhood districts. Originally popularized by the nonprofit Project for Public Spaces in the early 2000s, LQC continues to shape how communities reimagine their built environments — even today. We dig into real-world examples, lessons learned, and how communities are using this flexible framework to create a stronger sense of place, community, ownership, and vitality. Topics Covered: What “Lighter, Quicker, Cheaper” means and where it came from How cities like Dallas, Richmond, Chicago, and Peoria are embracing DIY placemaking Examples of LQC success: from Better Block projects to guerrilla wayfinding Creative community engagement: pop-up shops, vacant lot activations, and DIY downtowns The power of “just trying something” and giving communities permission to act Metrics and outcomes: How small tests can lead to permanent change How LQC invites broader participation and fosters local pride What we'd personally love to try next in our own communities! Mentioned Projects and Ideas: Better Block Dallas – transforming a corridor with temporary interventions Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood – intersection redesign with chalk paint and bollards Walk Raleigh – unsanctioned wayfinding signs showing walk times to local spots Peoria “Ideas to Action” – pop-up engagement leading to funded community-led projects Parklets and outdoor seating – how losing a few parking spots can spark placemaking Takeaways: You don't need a million-dollar budget to make a meaningful impact. LQC gives communities permission to test ideas and rethink how they use space. Starting small can unlock new energy, increase public trust, and attract long-term investment. These quick wins can be a gateway to bigger, bolder revitalization strategies.

234 - The Secret to Lasting Change: It's Not Willpower! In this episode, I talk about the real reasons we struggle with making progress on our goals — and how to fix it. Inspired by the powerful metaphors from “The Happiness Hypothesis” and “Switch,” I explore how the mind is like a rational Rider trying to steer an emotional Elephant along a winding Path. When we learn how to motivate our Elephant, direct our Rider, and clear the Path, meaningful change becomes not only possible but enjoyable. Understanding the Rider and ElephantWe often think our failure to follow through is due to laziness, but it's more about a conflict between emotion and logic. I explain how the Elephant (our emotions) tends to resist change while the Rider (our planner) gets stuck in overthinking. Motivating the Emotional SideFear doesn't move the Elephant — hope and small wins do. I share how reframing goals and celebrating tiny milestones can energize you to keep going. It's about making the process exciting and worthwhile. Giving the Rider DirectionToo many options lead to paralysis. I talk about choice architecture — creating pre-decisions that make action simpler, like scheduled workouts or limited food choices. When the Rider has a clear map, it stops stalling. Making the Path EasyWe need an environment that supports our goals. That means setting out gym clothes, automating finances, or prepping for quick getaways. These routines eliminate friction and help us act automatically. Visualizing the FutureOne of my favorite tools: the “postcard from the future.” I use AI to generate vivid images of my goals realized, which I keep visible in my space. They remind me why I'm doing the hard things. Rallying the HerdSupport is crucial. If friends and family aren't on board, online groups can be life-changing. When we surround ourselves with others chasing similar goals, their momentum lifts us up too. Takeaways:You don't need more discipline. You need a better system — one that motivates your emotions, guides your plans, and clears your path. Every step forward starts with understanding how your mind works and building an environment that makes change easier. It's not about giant leaps. It's about small, consistent wins that make you feel capable and confident. Keep your eye on the vision, celebrate each win, and know that you've got this. https://startwithsmallsteps.com/234-the-secret-to-lasting-change-its-not-willpower/ Jill's Links https://abetterlifeinsmallsteps.com https://affiliate.notion.so/NorthwoodsJillday https://affiliate.notion.so/NorthwoodsAI https://www.youtube.com/@startwithsmallsteps https://www.buymeacoffee.com/smallstepspod https://twitter.com/schmern Email the podcast at jill@startwithsmallsteps.com

In this solo episode, I'm diving into the real, raw truth about fear—how it sneaks into our creative process, our confidence, and our desire to put ourselves out there… and what we can actually do about it. We're talking about everything from perfectionism and people-pleasing to the inner stories that keep us in survival mode instead of moving forward. I share personal moments (including a time I nearly passed out from excitement and terror all at once), client breakthroughs, and the small shifts that create big change when it comes to visibility, creativity, and self-trust. Whether you're navigating a new season, launching something, or just craving more ease and confidence in how you show up—this one's for you. 3 Takeaways You'll Love: Fear is normal—resourcefulness is your superpower. You don't need to be fearless to take the leap. You just need to remember you already have what it takes.Visibility starts with self-compassion.The more kind and curious you are with yourself, the more confident and grounded you'll feel when it's time to be seen.Small practices shift everything. From journaling to movement to reframing fear as devotion, you'll walk away with tools you can use right now to get unstuck and take aligned action. I'm Josh Kopel, a Michelin-awarded restaurateur and the creator of the Restaurant Scaling System. I've spent decades in the industry, building, scaling, and coaching restaurants to become more profitable and sustainable. On this show, I cut through the noise to give you real, actionable strategies that help independent restaurant owners run smarter, more successful businesses. In this episode, I talk about something I think we've gotten backwards in the restaurant industry — loyalty. Too many of us are trying to buy it with discounts and deals. But real loyalty? That comes from connection. I dig into how to move beyond the transactional and start creating experiences that actually mean something to your guests. It's about storytelling. It's about generosity. It's about making people feel like they matter. When you build that kind of emotional connection, you don't need to bribe people to come back — they come back because they want to. And better yet, they tell their friends. If you're looking to turn one-time visitors into lifelong fans, this episode is for you.Takeaways:You can run a successful restaurant without running a successful restaurant business. Most restaurant owners have great food but lack business acumen.Discounts do not drive loyalty; they create transactional relationships.Guests return for the experience, not for discounts.Creating a sense of belonging is key to guest loyalty.Generosity should be intentional and targeted, not random.Memorable experiences lead to word-of-mouth marketing.Identify high-value guest moments for targeted gestures of generosity.Document and share guest stories to enhance marketing efforts.True loyalty is built on experiences, not freebies.Chapters00:00 Introduction to Restaurant Profitability02:03 The Power of Genuine Connection Over Discounts05:51 Creating Memorable Guest ExperiencesIf you've got a marketing or profitability related question for me, email me directly at josh@joshkopel.com and include Office Hours in the subject line. What if the pain you've been told to ignore… was actually coming from your hips, your spine—or your immune system? In this deep-dive episode, Dr. Linda Bluestein is joined by Dr. Andrew Goldstein, an expert in sexual pain disorders, to unravel the misunderstood causes of vulvar and pelvic pain in people with EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) , and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). Dr. Goldstein reveals why the traditional diagnosis of “vulvodynia” might be missing the real problem, and how factors like labral tears, pudendal nerve compression, Tarlov cysts, pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis, nerve proliferation, and mast cell disorders can all converge into debilitating pain—and be completely overlooked. He explains why pelvic floor physical therapy sometimes fails, when Botox is a game-changer, and how stigma and misinformation continue to prevent EDS patients from receiving proper care. If you've ever been told "it's all in your head"—this episode proves it's not. And it might be the roadmap you've been searching for. Takeaways: You might not feel hip pain at all—but your clitoris, rectum, or vulva will. A cyst that's left off your MRI report could be ruining your life. That pain during intimacy? It could be nerve sprouting—and it's not your fault. When physical therapy fails, it may not be the therapy's fault. He's performed 1,300+ surgeries. Here's how he decides if you really need one. What if showing up could feel like devotion instead of dread? In this solo episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on what it really takes to “put yourself out there”—whether that's sharing your message online, promoting your work, or simply being seen in a new season of life. Drawing from decades behind the lens as a commercial photographer (and plenty of awkward moments in front of it, too), I'm sharing honest stories, practical tools, and soulful encouragement for anyone ready to be visible in a more grounded, aligned way. Whether you're a coach, creator, leader, or changemaker stepping into something new, this conversation will leave you feeling supported, equipped, and reminded that confidence is something we build, not something we wait for.
In this episode, Ashley Monk discusses the paradox of outsourcing growth in marketing. She emphasizes that while agencies can assist in achieving growth, the core belief, ownership, and transformation must come from within the organization. The conversation explores the importance of clear expectations, the role of belief in driving growth, and the distinction between renting tactics and achieving true transformation. Ashley provides actionable strategies for organizations to effectively partner with agencies while maintaining ownership of their growth outcomes. Takeaways You can't fully outsource growth; it requires internal belief. Partnerships thrive on clear expectations and outcomes. Belief in a vision is crucial for growth. Outsourcing ownership can lead to relinquishing outcomes. Tactics can be rented, but transformation is unique to the organization. Growth requires time, consistency, and monitoring. Understanding the 'why' behind growth goals is essential. Sharing outcomes with partners fosters collaboration. Creating reasonable expectations is key to successful partnerships. Growth is a journey that involves course correction and alignment.

In this conversation, Michael Easley, Tim Harlow, and Mike Glenn open up about one of the ministry's most uncomfortable topics: money. They share the emotional, spiritual, and practical tensions behind capital campaigns and asking congregations to give—again. From exhaustion over repeated “once-in-a-lifetime” asks to the deeper realization that stewardship is a spiritual issue, not a financial one, the pastors don't shy away from the awkwardness. They address the idol of money that silently enslaves so many and reflect on Jesus' boldness in confronting it. They share numerous personal stories—from a woman doubling her giving in faith, to anonymous donors experiencing joy, to the freeing power of debt-free living. The pastors agree: the dread of fundraising can cloud the greater truth that generosity is transformative, both for the giver and the church. Stewardship isn't about guilt—it's about discipleship and spiritual maturity. Takeaways: -You're not giving God 10%—you're managing 100% of what's already His. -If you're uncomfortable talking about money in ministry, you're likely confronting your own idol. -Generosity is not about guilt—it's about freedom, joy, and trust in God's provision. -The spiritual battle over money is real—Jesus talked more about that than heaven or hell. -When stewardship is taught consistently, fundraising becomes a celebration, not a burden. -Faithful givers don't complain—they rejoice in what God is doing through their sacrifice.
