In Part 1 of this week's show, I'm joined by LPGA Elite Instructor Cindy Miller and former Atlanta Falcons WR Brian Finneran. Cindy Miller was recognized as an Elite LPGA Professional & Instructor at the PGA Merchandise Show earlier this year. We hear about that honor. On the heels of the tragic news of Grayson Murray, Cindy shares the story of her husband Allen Miller who found himself in a similar dark place. Allen was a top Amateur player in the early 70s. He played on the PGA Tour from the mid-70s to early 80s. He competed in 5 Masters Tournaments. The expectations of his father always haunted him. No matter what Allen achieved it was never good enough. It led Allen into some dark places. He attempted suicide which led him and Cindy to the brink of divorce. Hear his story as told from Cindy's perspective. Brian Finneran was an All-American WR at Villanova. He won the Walter Payton Award for being the best player in FCS College Football in 1997. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the Seattle Seahawks. He played in the NFL from 1999 to 2010 with the Eagles and Falcons. Brian is now a Sports Talk Radio Host at 680 The Fan in Atlanta. I get his insights on the Falcons draft and our shared dismay at why they selected Michael Penix with the 8th overall pick. We also discuss Angel Hernandez doing baseball a favor by retiring, plus we hear about Brian's round of golf at Augusta National.

And in talking to some entrepreneurs, that have an app, they are hell bent on collecting data, but haven't really thought through their data strategy. What can I collect? How? Where is it stored? Too often I hear; yeah well Google and Meta does it therefore I can right? No. I sense a perfect storm might be brewing. The collection of data, the ability to process it, the ability to piece it all together, and the ability to profile people from it. In intrigued me to the point that I thought I really need to talk to someone about it. I don't mean old mate down at the pub who's typically response is; Yeah na mate, I don't really care what they know about me, I'm just not that interesting. This podcast isn't for old mate. This podcast is for people that are interested in the in's and outs of privacy from an expert that not only wrote the book on the topic, started the Chief privacy functions of some of the largest companies, but has gone out on a limb, to start her own company hell bent on educating people about privacy and ensuring the next generation of leaders get their privacy strategies, documented, ethically tested, and are sustainably sound. She makes Privacy sound cool. I really didn't think that was possible. Michelle Finneran DennedyMichelle literally wrote the book on privacy engineering that raised a generation of ethical, empathetic, and business-minded privacy professionals. She is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Privacycode.ai, a start-up privacy engineering platform for business-focused privacy teams. Before PrivacyCode, she held seminal Chief Privacy Officer roles at Cisco, McAfee/Intel, and Sun Microsystems. Welcome to Finneran's Wake – where the ART OF CONVERSATION lives. Here, no topic is untouchable, no idea inadmissible, and no one too heretical to be heard. As the great French essayist Montaigne once said, “To my taste, the most fruitful and natural exercise of our minds is CONVERSATION. I find the practice of it the most delightful activity in our lives”. It certainly is the most delightful activity in my life. I want it to be so in yours as well. To that end, I humbly welcome you to my channel. Here, we'll exercise our minds together. Here, we'll practice this delightful activity as friends. We'll engage, now and forever, in the art--the highest and most human art--of conversation! With affection,Daniel
