I met Dawn and Heather last year at the Messiah Conference. Heather and Dawn are Messianic believers and have collaborated on a Trilogy being published by Olive Press Publisher. Their books have a very Hebraic understanding. The 1st book, "Slivers of Hell-Mosaic Steppingstones to Heaven" reveals the ancient pictographs of Hebrew that reveal the plan of salvation for all mankind. The pictographs are woven in the three realms between earth, heaven and hell. The second book, "More than Heather and Dawn are Messianic believers and have collaborated on a Trilogy being published by Olive Press Publisher. Their books have a very Hebraic understanding. The second book, "More than Flesh and Blood-Soul Chasers Exposed exposes the evil one's plans of antisemitism, and the third book "Captivated-Intertwined" immerses the reader into falling madly in love with Yeshua! The Trilogy will be available as an audio.Their writings were written over a 30 year time period, at first not realizing that their Messiah was putting together supernatural prophetic writings. Heather and Dawn live in Arizona with their husbands and their hope is that all Jewish souls understand who their Messiah is and that all are called for such a time as this.

http://annettbone.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Empower.png ()Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre knows how to take an ordinary site, such as a loading dock, and transform it into something extraordinary inspiring an array of emotions and lessons that empower dance, life and business. http://annettbone.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/FullSizeRender.jpeg () Session Summary:Step to Success: A step to your success is anything that moves your life and your business forward. Whether it's an app, a book or an idea, you can apply something today that can help you succeed. Today's step to success is revisiting the app that connects your devices called IFTTT. I talked about this on http://annettbone.com/026 (Session #026). Dancer's Dialect: The Dancer's Dialect is the dancer's language. I share dance terminology and concepts across different genres so you can see the correlations in your life and in your business. Today's word is failli, which is a classical ballet term that means "falling through" or "giving way." Check out this video: [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PjOcnF2144] Freestyle Flow: Something very empowering about pushing weighted sleds. : ) Feature Presentation: What do you picture when you hear the word loading dock? I will never look at a loading dock the same. And especially knowing it's because of what I experienced at the loading dock at one of my favorite venues Ford Theatres in LA. My third time seeing Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre and again, they did not disappoint. http://annettbone.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_4935-e1544462993437.jpeg () 7 reminders Where I sat, I observed a section about grief right in front of me. Sometimes you just need to be physically present for someone. You don't have to have all the right words, and sometimes words aren't necessary. With so much going on around you, be mindful of what you pay attention to. Not from a judgemental stance, but an awareness and observational stance. In the beginning there was a trash can that had a performer inside and I had no idea. I loved that element of surprise. Just because you don't see or experience something with your physical senses, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Don't compare your journey to someone else's. You don't live their life and you don't see what's going on behind the scenes. Sometimes other see things you don't, just like the audience perspective of placement throughout the dock. Everyone responds differently. In the performance, there was the commonality of struggle but how each dancer dealt with it was different. This definitely added a great dynamic to the production. Sometimes you make things more difficult than they are. There was a flag section that seemed like a struggle at times. You can't control others, people need to learn lessons for themselves. Bonus Tips Be aware when you are retreating back into your comfort zone. There are times that you need to help yourself. http://annettbone.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/IMG_4953-e1544463496919.jpeg () Links from this session:http://annettbone.com/ (Get my FREE Audio Resource) http://annettbone.com/026 (7 Actions to Boost Your Business-Session #026) https://ifttt.com (IFTTT) https://instagram.com/annettbone (Let's connect on Instagram) http://annettbone.com/143 (1st Experience with Inland Pacific Ballet-Session #143) http://rutcamp.com (RUT Camp) https://drjohnrusin.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-prowler-sled-training/ (Sled Training) http://heididuckler.org (Heidi Duckler Dance) http://fordtheatres.org (Ford Theatres) http://annettbone.com/159 (5 Things to Help You Navigate The Seasons of Your Life-Session #159) http://annettbone.com/181 (Inside The Mind of A Unicorn-Session #181) http://lewisfamilyplayhouse.com (Lewis Family Playhouse) http://victoriagardensie.com (Victoria Gardens) Would you review The DancePreneuring Studio?I would be extremely appreciative if you would subscribe and leave

G.K. Chesterton with Msgr. Patrick Gaalaas – Episode 53 Special thanks to Dr. Mike Malloy for sponsoring this episode of the Catholic Man Show! We appreciate your help and generosity! Msgr. Gaalaas is a diocesan priest in the https://dioceseoftulsa.org/ (Diocese of Tulsa) and the pastor of http://stbernardstulsa.org/ (St. Bernard) parish in South Tulsa. Msgr Gaalaas said, “One of my favorite authors is an Englishman named Gilbert Keith Chesterton. When Chesterton was a young man, he was seriously tempted to find the world meaningless. But, thanks be to God, he snapped out of it and became a very happy (and very grateful) man. Almost everything he said or wrote was filled with gratitude. One of his early poems is titled “Evening.” Here dies another day During which I have had eyes, ears, hands And the great world round me; And with tomorrow begins another. Why am I allowed two?” Msgr. Gaalaas has been studying and reading Chesterton for almost 50 years! Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a thief. ED takes away physical and emotional intimacy. ED steals your confidence in the bedroom. ED robs you of your manhood. ED walks off with your self-esteem. Left untreated, ED has the power and potential to destroy lives, and end relationships. FullSizeRender (3)Join me for a conversation with Rick Redner and his wife Brenda Redner. They lived this experience, from his diagnosis and treatment for prostate cancer, to temporary impotence and a diagnosis of permanent impotence and his search for options. Fear of Missing out (FOMO) can rob you of reaching your potential. Educators want to be great, but when they let FOMO be the reason they make a decision, their kids suffer. Social media, conferences and the latest technology are some examples of areas where teachers rush about like moths to a flame. Tune in to hear how to still be part of what’s hot, but not lose sight of your purpose in the classroom. Quotables Stop chasing fads instead of rooting yourself in student achievement Prioritize where you put your time- does this really impact student learning? Your potential is determined by how you let it grow You’ll never be a top notch educator with FOMO as your commander in chief Forget the new shiny objects that swirl around you and stay grounded in what has the biggest impact on kids Your kids are watching- we are shaping the future and if they look to you as a model and see superficial motivations and outcomes, they’re doomed to repeat it (https://alwaysalesson.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/FullSizeRender-16.jpg) Connect with Gretchen Email: gretchen@alwaysalesson.com Blog: Always A Lesson (https://alwaysalesson.com) Facebook: Always A Lesson (https://www.facebook.com/AlwaysALesson) Twitter: @gschultek (https://twitter.com/GSchultek) Linkedin: Gretchen Schultek Bridgers (https://www.linkedin.com/in/gretchenschultekbridgers) Google+: Gretchen Schultek Bridgers (https://plus.google.com/u/0/+GretchenSchultek) Book: Elementary EDUC 101: What They Didn’t Teach You in College (http://www.amazon.com/Elementary-Educ-101-Didnt-College/dp/1478711868/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412203865&sr=8-1&keywords=education+101+what+they+didn%27t+teach+you+in+college) Leave a Rating and Review https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/always-lessons-empowering/id1006433135?mt=2 (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/always-lessons-empowering/id1006433135?mt=2) &ls=1 Why? Crisis surrounds us in our communities, and its our duty as educators to bridge the gap from the inside world of the classroom to the outside world of society. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the hate and expect our kids to be prepared to enter that environment and make it a better place. Tune in to hear how you can be part of the solution. Buy the Change is a for-profit social enterprise in the Detroit area that helps to make a market for women entrepreneurs around the world. Kari, unfortunately, lost a daughter. We didn’t spend much time discussing that in the interview here, but I can tell you that she’s dramatically empowering women while she continues to heal her own heart. I believe what you’ll hear is a woman with a mission to help, a woman making a big impact. Let’s jump right in now where I’m asking Kari more about the very basics of Buy the Change. Kari Hughes: Buy the Change is a retail company. We sell accessories and home goods that are all handmade by women in the developing world. The two main benefits, I think, that we offer are the opportunity to have income and economic opportunity for our artists and partners around the world, but also the ability for our customers to have a direct impact on the lives of women on the other side of the world. I think lots of times people want to have an impact, but they don’t know how, or they aren’t sure where the money that they donate, or spend goes. Every time we sell a product, we use the profit for sure, but a majority of that money to buy another product. It results in the direct income and all of the opportunities that income brings for our partner artisans. Romy Kochan: Let’s go right to how you got started. What originally trigger tripped your heart, as I like to say, to do this? Kari Hughes: I think most of the time in life there is 100 different paths that come together in 1 point of clarity that brings you to make a decision. I had worked in public health and in the non-profit sector for many, many years and had worked as a therapist at an organization that ran a shelter for women living in domestic abuse situations. It’s just like all of these things that I was very focused on, women, and women’s issues and I was at a point in my life where I really had the freedom to do something that gave back at a higher level. A friend recommended the book Half the Sky. It was written by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn and really motivated me. Their call to action was amazing. I knew I wanted to do something, but I really didn’t know how. Then, I read another book called Global Girlfriend. It’s written by Stacey. I don’t even remember her last name at this point. I’m sorry. Her company is called Global Girlfriend. She documented how she did it. All of that together with my genetic...

Brett Gibson is an associate professor of psychology at the University of New Hampshire.Brett imagining a better year for Thomas VanekWhile he may live in Bruin territory he is a Minnesota Wild fan, and he received his BA in psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1991, followed by his MS from Bucknell 1995 and his PhD at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in 1999. (Brett also did a postdoc with my PhD supervisor, Sara Shettleworth and one with Ed Wasserman).Brett is broadly interested in the evolution of behaviour and cognition in non-human animals and the neurobiological underpinnings of these systems. He has two primary lines of research. In the first line of work Brett and his students are investigating the behaviour and cognitive abilities of non-human animals. In particular, they are interested how a variety of animals represent and plan movements in space. Their work in animal cognition also has included research on a wider variety of cognitive abilities, such as numerical ability, inference, and memory in birds, including the Clark’s nutcracker (Nucifraga Columbiana). In the second line of research he has been collaborating with other researchers in the neurosciences to use electrophysiology to record from individual/populations of neurons as animals perform cognitive tasks. This line of work has included investigating the neural systems involved in representations of space, as well as how different part of the brain, like the prefrontal cortex and thalamus are involved in planning actions and movements. We talked about what got Brett into the field in the first place, about working with people like Sara, Al and Ed, and about his lab's recent work on head direction cells in rats and on numerical cognition in Clark's nutcrackers. Apple Music just launched. I was hoping to host BiH there but it won't work. Too bad. Would anyone be interested in me sharing playlists, albeit unmixed? Personally I like BiH because of the transitions between tracks, and not only for the tracks themselves. I've always sought to enhance the material via their placement in a larger mix. And I still strive for that and still think it is worthwhile. But if you think playlists of raw tracks would also be good (because BiH will never die! 6 years old this September), then comment below. The thing is there are plenty of great songs out there and they don't all make it onto a BiH mix because they don't fit. They are still no less great. So I could do that. If you want. Or even if you don't, I suppose. There are some caveats of course, namely that any song would need to be available on Apple Music. Most of what I include here is either prerelease or self-released, so not available. But sometimes I intentionally avoid big songs even though I love them, so they'd get coverage in a playlist. I'm thrilled to include my friend Nick on this one, who also handles lead vocals for a band I am in called Wild Stallions (absolutely no relation to Bill & Ted). Nick is awesome, in both music and in life, and I listened to his cover of Miss Ohio about 30 times. You should, too. And if you are an Apple Music subscriber, check out his stuff over there.I am blown away by almost every track on this one (the new Mercury Rev, Viet Cong, LIDS, Beach House, Gordi... Just, wow). As always, enjoy loudly through the best speakers or headphones you can possibly afford. Pawn some stuff and upgrade for this one.
