Send us a textKatie and Bridget pretend to be one another as they re-watch the Disney remake: The Parent Trap! It's a movie all about how beneficial it can be to pull off Ocean's 11-esq pranks even when you're only a preteen - it could bring your divorced parents back together! Apparently! Come along as we meet Haley and Annie, identical twins separated at birth who had no knowledge of one another their entire lives. No, seriously - that's a major plot point and totally not something we should discuss in therapy! When they meet at a summer camp, the two decide to switch places to each meet their estranged Mom and Dad, as well as break up Dad's new engagement to a seriously younger woman (hello - police?), AS WELL AS get their parents back together even though they had a shotgun wedding, pregnancy, and divorce all on a one week cruise... Listen, it's Disney okay!? We're all having fun here! Released in 1998, it was Lindsay Lohan's feature film and also stars Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson, Elaine Hendrix, Lisa Ann Walter, and Simon Kunz.

Send us a textHappy Wine Wednesday! I know it's been awhile and we're working on ramping things up and getting back on track in 2025. To kick things off, Candi joined me this week to discuss the delightful Abbott Elementary side of the Abbot/It's Always Sunny crossover. EPISODE 66 - “WHEN CLASSIC FILM'S SUPPORTING ACTORS STEAL THE SHOW” - 12/16/2024 There is nothing quite like watching a film when suddenly a supporting character comes in and walks away with the film. (Think THELMA RITTER, S.Z. SAKALL, or GALE SONDERGAARD in almost every one of their films!) This week we are focusing on some of our favorite supporting charters who come in and snatch that scene right about from under the big stars. From JOANNA BARNES' Gloria Upson declaring, “It was just ghastly!” in “Auntie Mame” to the impassioned monologue about love that BEAH RICHARDS delivers to SPENCER TRACY in “Guess Who's Coming To Dinner,” we take a fun look at these powerful performances that we're still talking about today. Million Dollar Winner, Lisa Ann Walter, checks in with The Preston & Steve Show From Parent Trap to winning one million dollars for charity on Celebrity Jeopardy!, star of Abbott Elementary, Lisa Ann Walter graced the airwaves this morning. We flooded the phone line with congratulatory praise, but Lisa was more than excited to tell us about her nerves going into last night's big show. Anxiety levels were running high on the night of filming. We learned that while pressing the button early didn't affect her score, Lisa did admit to sitting out on questions she could confidently answer. The shining moment of the night came when answering a question about Villanova University. Lisa whipped out the accent she perfected on screen so many years ago and answered/asked, “Wut es Phil-uh-delfia.” Lemme tell ya, that jawn was on point. If you are not familiar with the format of Celebrity Jeopardy!, the famous contestants faceoff in a series of tournaments, then the top three faceoff in the finals. This year is came down to CBS Sunday Mornings' correspondent Mo Rocca, sports commentator, Katie Nolan and of course, the inevitable champion. The million dollar prize is heading to an organization close to Lisa's heart. She proudly chose the Entertainment Community Fund as the recipient of her prize winnings. The money will be going to actors and writers affected by the Hollywood strike. On the big night of the primetime debut of the show, Lisa Ann hosted a watch party with family and friends. Spoiler alert- she already knew she friggin won! It was a short check before hitting the hair and make-up trailer on set. Oh, yeah, “Abbott Elementary” is back filming. Season 3 debuts February 7th on ABC.
The moment we've all been waiting for finally arrives — Monica Garcia tells all about her involvement with the internet troll account Reality Von Tease on the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion finale. "Abbott Elementary" is a workplace comedy series created by Quinta Brunson that premiered in 2021. The show is set in an underfunded Philadelphia public elementary school and follows a group of dedicated, but often quirky, teachers as they navigate the challenges of their profession. The series uses a mockumentary-style format to provide a fresh perspective on some of the unfortunate realities of public schooling while delivering laughs along the way. With high user ratings amongst all platforms Abbott Elementary became a fast hit with a large and dedicated fan base. But was episode one what hooked everyone? We'll look at how the show discusses public education from a few different angles, Abbott's origin story and unique success as a network sitcom in a streaming world, and deep dives into our favorite characters and relationships.
