"Guard your consciousness because our consciousness is our most most precious thing that we have."Welcome to the grand finale of the Bewitched series. Robyn and I wrap up this intense journey, reflecting on lessons learned and closing the book. We discuss the ethical responsibility we felt and the personal cost of sharing these stories.I share 11 patterns of manipulation I tracked across guest stories, explaining how they relate to childhood relational trauma and exploiting "soft spots", like creating trauma bonds and gaslighting. Robyn adds personality insights, contrasting the Dark Tetrad with the Light Triad. We touch on how traits like openness and agreeableness, combined with trauma, may make accomplished, intuitive women susceptible. Discernment is crucial. We also address the question of why Betty's identity was not revealed. We're excited to continue podcasting, collaborating on new content focusing on ethics, integrity, and standards in the healing and spiritual leadership space. We want to thank all of the women who wanted to come forward with their stories and experiences. And also, everyone who showed their support, caring and interest in the series. You rock! This episode is an invitation to safeguard your consciousness, become aware of red flags, do your deeper work, and keep the conversation going so these patterns don't happen in this way again.TODAY'S HIGHLIGHTS(00:00) Intro(00:52) Closing the Book on Bewitched(02:32) Programs, Offerings and Discounts(06:43) The Grand Finale Lightning Round(13:46) The Ethical Imperative: Why We Had to Speak(19:53) Uncovering the Patterns of Manipulation(22:25) Pattern 1 - Your Trauma, Her Profit: The Trauma Bond Tactic(27:25) Patterns 2-4: Bait, Whiplash & The Confusion Matrix(34:12) Patterns 5-7: Energetic Control, Isolation & Loyalty(39:44) Patterns 8-9: Projected Copying & Banishing Dissent(42:52) Pattern 10: You're So Special! As they continue to investigate and resolve a growing caseload of hundreds of reports from current and former government officials about encounters with unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), personnel in the Pentagon's All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) are also launching new projects and resources to declassify materials, promote transparency and enhance collection capabilities. The office's new director Jon Kosloski detailed those and other updates during an off-camera press briefing at the Pentagon on Thursday, marking his first open engagement with reporters in this capacity since he assumed the role in August. Kosloski told reporters the office has has taken meaningful steps to improve data collection and retention, bolster sensor development, effectively triage UAP reports and reduce the stigma of reporting a UAP event. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said Thursday that he hopes the Trump administration would maintain the agency's AI Safety and Security Board, which was formed in April and includes corporate and civil society leaders focused on artificial intelligence. The board's roster currently includes OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Anthropic CEO Dario , leading AI researcher Fei-Fei Li, and Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Arati Prabhakar, among many others. DHS and the board on Thursday released what the department is calling a groundbreaking new framework focused on technology and critical infrastructure. Thank you to the folks at Sustain (https://sustainoss.org/) for providing the hosting account for CHAOSSCast! CHAOSScast – Episode 97 In this episode of CHAOSScast, Harmony Elendu hosts a discussion with Emily Fox from Red Hat and Dawn Foster, the Director of Data Science at CHAOSS. Today, they explore the new Security Practitioner Guide created to help maintainers, who may lack deep security backgrounds, get started with essential security practices. Emily and Dawn highlight actionable steps, key trends, and simplifications to adopt in maintaining a secure project. They also touch on challenges like vulnerability reporting and the importance of consistent monitoring and updating. Additionally, the guide's flexibility, allowing customization and improvement over time, and the significance of community support are emphasized. Press download now to hear more! [00:02:02] Dawn starts out with providing an overview of CHAOSS Project's Practitioner Guides, which helps newcomers to open source understand key metrics and mentions the current focus on the Security Guide. [00:03:24] Dawn gives us an overview of the Security Practitioner Guide as she describes it as a starting point for maintainers, particularly those without a security background. [00:04:10] Emily emphasizes that many maintainers struggle with starting security practices and shares the two primary security focuses on open source: project security design and repository security. [00:05:38] Harmony notes the importance of project design and patterns, asking about security trends and considerations in open source projects. Dawn mentions the Libyears (dependency freshness) and Release Frequency as key security metrics, and Emily adds that OpenSSF best practices contribute to project quality and maturity. [00:08:32] Harmony asks for insights on how contributors can interpret these metrics. Emily suggests various resources and communities, such as CNCF's tag-security, for maintainers looking to improve security. [00:11:39] Emily discusses common issues with vulnerability reporting and the importance of having a process in place, with community resources available for support. Dawn emphasizes the importance of having basic security policies in place early on in a project and suggests starting out with a simple security.md file to outline how to handle vulnerability reports. [00:15:47] Dawn suggests consulting the Practitioners Guide's “Make Improvements” section, which included adding a security.md file and implementing automation to track outdated dependencies and Emily cautions that metrics are only as effective as their relevance, recommending incremental steps for improvement. [00:18:53] Dawn highlights the importance of the OpenSSF scorecard, which helps both maintainers and OSPOs assess project security. [00:20:29] Emily and Dawn simplify the Practitioner Guides into basic steps and Emily reiterates that projects should define their own security goals and commit to them for consistent improvements. [00:23:56] Harmony emphasizes the importance of documentation for continuity in project security and Dawn reminds us that the Practitioner Guides are MIT-licensed and customizable for different projects. [00:25:11] Dawn and Emily explain where you can ask questions or how to implement things in your project using the Practitioner's Guide. Adds (Picks) of the week: [00:26:55] Dawn's pick is 3D printing and learning how to design new things. [00:28:02] Emily's pick is taking a break from the internet and doing something outside. [00:28:45] Harmony's pick is creating personalized templates to help with document preparation and tasks. The BPA owns 75% of the transmission lines in the Northwest. It has proposed 13 new projects to upgrade and expand the region’s power grid to accommodate growing energy needs. Oregon and other Northwest states have ambitious carbon emissions reduction targets that they can’t hit unless the power grid expands. Those goals will be impossible to meet without much more energy generated from renewables or other alternatives to fossil fuel. CEO John Hairston joins us with all the details.

Send us a textChris Slade's music career reads like a Who's Who list of rock ‘n' roll. It's truly amazing how many iconic bands and artists he has performed with over the decades. His musical journey can be traced back to 1963. Chris came from the same village in Wales as fellow Welshman Tom Jones and, as a 17-year-old lad, was hired by Jones to play drums in the singer's backing band, The Squires, for seven years. It was the beginning of an incredible career that is still going strong today. He was the founding member of Mandred Man, and his illustrious resume includes working with Asia, AC/DC, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, and many others. In 2012, Slade launched the band, The Chris Slade Timeline, to mark, at that time, 50 years as a professional rock drummer. The band performs music from all aspects of his lengthy career and has appeared at major festivals including Hellfest, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Harley Davidson Aquitaine, and Saint Tropez and is the only rock band to play the Moscow Olympic Stadium for the Kremlin Cup tennis tournament. The current lineup of The Chris Slade Timeline features Paul “Bun” Davis on lead vocals, bassist Stevie Gee, guitarist James Cornford, Mike Clarke on keys and guitar and, of course the inimitable Mr. Slade on drums.
