PUBLIC VERSION. Jennifer and Chris discuss how they met and persevered with a creative partnership well after they broke up as a couple… collaborating with Joe on the YouTube series 12 DEADLY DAYS… their writing process… and the challenges they faced conceiving, producing and distributing an indie film during a global pandemic. Horror Movies To Watch. Horror Movie Reactions To A Swedish Horror Movie and Its Scary Movie American Remake. Let The Right One In 2008 And Let Me In 2010.Going to try to talk about this horrible event that happened on a film set without getting into the politics of movie making or opinions on firearms...but sometimes movie news is as horrible as real life news.Alec Baldwin accidentally discharges live rounds on Rust film set, killing the director of photography, Halyna Hutchins and wounding director, Joel Souza. The investigation has turned from Baldwin who was rehearsing a scene with the gun to the irresponsible assistant director, Dave Hall and the inexperienced armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed.Some interesting details:Baldwin did not check the gun.The AD said the weapon was a :”cold gun”, meaning he checked it and it had no live rounds, but as it turns out he did not check it. Also, dude has complaints against him for violating safety on set before. The armorer who is employed to make sure the guns are safe has very little experience being the person employed to do so. She worked on the Nick Cage western that is coming out but not as the supervisor supposedly. She was on a podcast and talked about her fear over lacking experience handling guns. And now she is in charge of handling guns on the Alec Baldwn movie,It also came out that members of the camera crew were walking off the Rust set due to their opinions that the movie was not following protocols and working conditions were not up to standards. Now as an actor handed a gun, he should have checked. Baldwin has been consoling the widow and his son since it happened. As a producer, entertainment lawyers are saying what I was thinking, as a producer Baldwin could be found liable both criminally and civilly. I read one article that said they predict he could be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Now I am trying to get the facts straight and up to date as more and more comes out, but this whole thing seems like a combo of mistakes and negligence. Sources I used to piece this together are for example... Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Reuters, Yahoo News, and SmartNews. The star of Werewolves Within, Sam Richardson has joined the cast of Hocus Pocus 2, which has started filming.SPOILER WARNING: What We Do In The Shadows may have just killed a fan favorite character AND fans are in disbelief.First looks of this horror-comedy called Slayers has Thomas Jane as a grizzled vampire killer helping a group of social media stars survive the night from a vampire played by Malin Ackerman.Tonight's Movies Are Swedish horror movie Let The Right One In 2008 followed by the American remake from 2010. Oskar is a young boy bullied at school until his new vampire neighbor girl shows up and makes a bloody mess of the bullies and commits a series of bloody murders with the help of an infatuated man-child servant. She would probably eat Oskar too if she didn't have a crush on him as her humanity lingers on.Stick around for Dangerous Facts about the horror novel this movie is based on, Why Elias Koteas really wanted to be in this movie remake, Fan Service from the Air Force, and Staff Picks this week including Titane. Switching Gears Next Week Because We Will Be Entering Our Feel Good Season Which Kicks Off With A Female Arm Wrestling Movie Called Golden Arm Not To Be Confused With The Martial Arts Movie Of The Same Name.. Todays guest has over 100 film and TV credits to her name and a career that began with roles in repertory theatre in Portland, Oregon, and ultimately lead her to Los Angeles where she discovered improv and sketch comedy and became a member of The Groundlings. She shares how her experiences doing improv in LA prepared her for the rest of the business, including joining the cast of SNL for one season, and how her departue from the show, seemingly premature at the time, made way for countless new opportunities to expand her storytelling capacity. A natural talent with an undeniable energy, Michaela Watkins has made her mark through a variety of impressive and unforgettable roles. Watkins can currently be seen in the fourth and final season of the hit Hulu show CASUAL. The show has received critical acclaim with a Golden Globe nomination and recognition in THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER calling it “funny, strongly realized, self-assured and a joy to watch. After watching an episode, you want another.” She plays the lead role of ‘Valerie Cole’, a newly divorced sex therapist who is re-entering the world of casual dating. Up next, Watkins can be seen playing Rob Delaney’s Sister in the new season of CATASTROPHE and playing a tightly wound, full of bravado, federal prosecutor hell-bent on putty Dory (Alia Shawkat) and Drew (John Reynolds) behind bars in the next season of SEARCH PARTY. Watkins can be seen in the first and second season of Amazon’s Golden Globe winning show, TRANSPARENT. Additionally, she can be seen in the Netflix limited series WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER opposite Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd. Prior to that, she was last seen playing the eccentric and loveable ‘Jackie’ on the ABC critically-acclaimed series TROPHY WIFE opposite Bradley Whitford and Malin Ackerman. Other past television credits include VEEP, THE GOLDBERGS, MARRIED, THE COMEDIANS, NEW GIRL, ENLIGHTENED, MODERN FAMILY, CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, PARENTHOOD, KEY AND PEELE, THE KROLL SHOW, DRUNK HISTORY AND CALIFORNICATION. On the creator side, Watkins executive produced, created and wrote the comedy series BENCHED with Damon Jones, which aired on the USA Network. This series starred Eliza Coupe. “Love is patient. Love is kind. Love means slowly losing your mind.” Today on the pod Madeline (with her Phoebe Buffay sick “sticky shoes” voice), her aunt Pandy and her cousin Harley talk about the 2008 film “27 Dresses”. How does Katherine Heigl have that huge apartment on an assistant’s salary? Who’s in this movie? Ed Norton? George Burns? ED BURNS! They talk extensively about Malin Ackerman’s eyebrows (or lack thereof) They discuss the best ways for brides to pick bridesmaid’s dresses and sometimes brides pick dresses that are a little ugly to make themselves look better. James Marsden has the best cheekbones in the game and Benny and the Jets is the most misheard song ever written. There’s some coughing, Madeline loses her notes (and finds them), they marvel at the comedic talent of Judy Greer. Aunt Pandy points out every soap opera actor and Stella contentedly nurses in the background.
