In the distance he sees a tall building that looks as though it is made of green porcelain, but instead of heading to this new discovery, he heads into one of the Morlock wells. It takes him a long time to climb down the 200 yard deep well, and he nearly falls, being nearly too heavy for the climbing hooks to hold. He finds a small tunnel where he rests before being awakened by a Morlock touching him. He quickly lights a match, causing the creature to flee, and he makes his way through the tunnel into a large cave. He sees some huge machines lining the walls and a light metal table with some White coloured meat laying on it. His matches are running low, and the creatures are getting more confident around him and he decides that it is a good idea to flee before they swarm him. Exhausting all of his matches, he only narrowly escapes the Morlock's clutches. SEO Stuff that I don't want to do lol...One of the most influential pieces of fiction of all time, The Time Machine by H. G. Wells, sees a Victorian scientist send himself forward to the year 802,701 AD. He is delighted to find that suffering has been replaces by beauty and happiness, and a "new man", the Eloi, has descended from man. Science Fiction book, Sci-fi, Classic Literature

In "coMplications," Reed Strucker's powers manifest in front of his daughter Lauren, who can't believe he's still keeping secrets from the rest of the family. Jace Turner is still obsessed with hunting down mutants and he's destroying every other aspect of his life in favor of continuing to chase that high. Welcome true believers to X-Men Horoscopes where each week our host Lodro Rinzler is in conversation with a special guest to discuss the X-Men issue that aligns with a significant month and year from their life and what that issue reveals about their future. Joining us this week is long-time friend of our host/medical professional/voodoo practitioner and guide Marina Acosta to discuss a very BDSM Morlock wedding. Angel has been kidnapped and is destined to marry Callisto, leader of the Morlocks...unless the X-Men can come in at that point where an officiant goes "Does anyone object?" and save the day that way. Also in this issue: American voodoo traditions - Marina is kinda on the Morlocks' side and also sort of confused by how comics work Cyclops is upset about Madelyne Pryor looking exactly like his dead ex girlfriend...but gets over it in one minute flat the X-Men consistently forget that the Morlocks exist the moment they are out of sight Nightcrawler has a beautifully symmetrical face What do Cyclops and Caliban have in common (they both have been worn as sweaters except for Cyclops - bad joke sorry)? a truly beautiful knife fight Cyclops loves wearing sunglasses at night And we answer the question our guest asks: "Are the X-Men good guys?" Marina Acosta is a full scope primary care nurse practitioner, specializing in polycystic ovarian syndrome and ADHD. Separately, she is a New Orleans Voodoo practitioner, focused on honoring traditional rituals, ingredients, and recipes. She is a mom, a wife and a collector of stationary. Here's her Instagram! More of Lodro Rinzler's work can be found here and here and you can follow the podcast on Instagram at xmenpanelsdaily where we post X-Men comic panels...daily. What if the future of theological education wasn't bound by the walls of traditional campuses? Reverend Jeff from the North American Lutheran Seminary joins us to unravel this intriguing possibility by explaining the seminary's innovative hub-and-spoke model. As the Director of Vocational Discernment, he shares how partnerships with institutions like Trinity Anglican Seminary and Concordia Texas are shaping new pathways for students in the Lutheran tradition. With his journey from parish ministry to seminary leadership, Reverend Jeff emphasizes the power of connection and the necessity of nurturing future leaders in a post-Christian world.Explore the intricate process of discerning one's calling within the church, guided by God's word and enriched by community feedback. We discuss how the roles of deacons within the LCMS and NALC denominations are evolving to address pastoral shortages and support church communities. Reverend Jeff sheds light on the new pathways available for aspiring deacons, like the Master of Arts in Religion program, that prepare them for diverse roles in ministry. We also reflect on the biblical journey of Abram and Sarai, drawing parallels to the faith and obedience required in modern spiritual challenges.Discover how life-to-life discipleship and authentic leadership formation can transform church leadership. Drawing inspiration from the early church and the teachings of Jesus, we highlight the significance of relational and contextual learning over traditional programs. By aligning seminary education with the real needs of congregations, Reverend Jeff advocates for a grassroots approach that reignites missional zeal. George Sewell and Dan Baldwin discuss their experiences with paranormal investigations and pendulum dowsing. They talk about their respective locations in Bossier City, Louisiana, and Phoenix Mesa, Arizona. They share how they got involved in the paranormal field and how they started working together. They explain the concept of pendulum dowsing and its accuracy in obtaining specific information. They also discuss their experiences in Tombstone, Arizona, a paranormal hotspot, and their involvement with Lindsay Higgins, who has had lifelong encounters with extraterrestrials Takeaways George Sewell and Dan Baldwin have a lifelong interest in the paranormal and have been working together in the field. Pendulum dowsing is a method that allows access to subconscious information and can be used to obtain accurate answers to yes or no questions. Tombstone, Arizona, is a paranormal hotspot with numerous historical locations and reported paranormal activity. Lindsay Higgins has had lifelong encounters with extraterrestrials, and George and Dan have been working with her to document her experiences. There are commonalities in the stories of people who have had paranormal experiences, indicating that something significant is happening. Pendulum dowsing can be a valuable tool for communicating with spirits and obtaining specific information. Validating information through other sources, such as historical records, can help confirm the accuracy of paranormal experiences. There is a need for responsible investigation in the paranormal field, focusing on helping individuals and understanding the broader phenomenon. Sharing stories and experiences can provide support and validation for others who have had similar encounters. The paranormal field is interconnected, with experiences of ghosts, UFOs, and cryptids often overlapping. There are various divination tools and methods that can be used to access the spirit world, and individuals should find what works best for them. Sound Bites "Dan found his sandbox." "Pendulum dowsing is like hypnotism because your conscious mind focuses on the weight, freeing up your subconscious mind." "The accuracy of pendulum dowsing allows for specific information without interpretation." "My friend Morlock opened it for me." "We were guided from the beginning by the spirit world to get together with Lindsay to tell her story." "There's no longer any reason for you to be afraid to talk about it. There are a lot of people out there in the same situation." This episode shows that having the high ground does not always provide you with the advantage. Xena may have met her equal match in Morlock, and teams up with a rebellious young amazon who, you guessed it, has a lot to learn. Renee O'Connor returns to the directors chair, bringing us one of the most unique and notable fight setpieces of the entire series. We're playing Jenga, and we're doing it Texas style! Brown Fingerf. It's nearly 6pm on 12th April 2023 and the daily 2023 podcasts continue with a classic, with some inter-species bodily fluid swapping, the importance of finding a window in the weather, an alliterative Morlock and how to spot a fake stone clearer. Also there are some stones cleared.
Welcome back to another episode of Locked On Seminoles! Dave brings in an old face you know and love (yes, it's Max) to discuss what the offense and defense need to do in order for FSU to be a real championship contender in 2023, and offer their wild cards for which players stepping up could make the biggest difference. First, Dave and Max explain why the offense—already one of the best in the country in 2022, for both passing and rushing—needs to improve on the margins, namely by improving situational football and consistency, which will likely see the greatest gains at wide receiver (with another year in the system for key contributors such as Johnny Wilson, Mycah Pittman, and Winston Wright) and tight end (with a revamped room that includes highly-touted transfer additions Kyle Morlock and Jaheim Bell). Then, they address the improvements needed on defense, namely maximizing the talent and potential at the defense back position (which should be accomplished through the addition of new defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain), and more well-rounded defensive line play that sets the edge and finishes the numerous almost-sacks/pressures Florida State saw each week in 2022. Finally, they offer their individual wild cards for the 2023 season that could push the Seminoles over the hump into championship contender territory, including new tight ends Morlock and Bell, veteran returning defensive back Akeem Dent, and Kalen Deloach. As always, thank you for making Locked On Seminoles your first listen each and every day. We thank y'all for all the love and support and hope you enjoy the show. "Emotions are intuitive messages from our soul." -Lindsay Morlock On today's episode Abby and Margot welcome their next guest, Lindsay Morlock. Lindsay is a gifted intuitive, breathwork healer, hand analyst and inner child advocate. In this conversation Lindsay shares about her journey with anxiety beginning in childhood, through adolescence and now. She talks about how early experiences including sexual/physical trauma, and receiving messages of needing to control everything led to lack of trust in others and herself. This led to binge eating, wherein she felt the absence of control. She shares about her recovery journey and the ways she supported and continues to support herself through modalities such as DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), breathwork, spiritual healing and more. These practices, especially the latter, have shown Lindsay to a greater understanding of emotions, and have allowed for regaining self trust. Now, she actively works to support others on their path. Host Bob St.Pierre is joined by three Pheasants Forever biologists to discuss the impact this year's severe winter weather has been having on pheasant populations across the country's northern tier of states. Those three biologists include Private Lands Conservation Program Manager Rachel Bush from Bismarck, North Dakota; Minnesota State Coordinator Tanner Bruse from Marshall, Minnesota, and South Dakota and North Dakota State Coordinator Matt Morlock from Huron, South Dakota. Episode Highlights: • Bush explains the philosophy of “putting the kitchen next to the bedroom” when designing quality pheasant habitat to best survive severe winters. • Bruse breaks down the good and bad of seeing pheasants in open agricultural fields during the winter. Are they stressed and vulnerable or taking advantage of accessible food? Or both? • Morlock delivers a few zingers as he talks about cattails (nature's hot dogs), hot lunch (corn kernels in steaming cow pies), and the OG's of surviving winter (sharp-tail grouse).
