With Helmet Marko pointing fingers and contradicting past events, the F1 community is speaking out, from Lewis Hamilton to Esteban Ocon. Why now? Why blame someone who was barely involved at the time? We're unpacking the real story behind Red Bull's internal politics, the quiet exit of Newey, the impact on Liam Lawson's career, and what this means for Max Verstappen's loyalty to the team. And of course, three drivers haven't had a farewell in 2024 - Daniel Ricciardo, Logan Sargeant and Esteban Ocon. Luckily, we will see OCO back in Formula 1 with Haas in a tyre test after Abu Dhabi. In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast,  @f1statsguru  and Kunal Shah preview the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. 9 out of the last 12 races have been won from pole, and 11 (of these 12) have been won from the front row. Half of the 10 Constructors' Championship standings could change after this Sunday's race - McLaren vs. Ferrari for P1, while Alpine, Haas and Racing Bulls are battling for P6. The lesser hyped battle is the one for P2 in the Drivers' Championship between Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. Could Norris go from battling Max Verstappen for P1 to losing P2 to Leclerc? This is the 2024 Formula 1 season and stranger things have happened. Max Verstappen is the main focus of the podcast after pulling off one of the great Interlagos victories, after winning by almost 20 seconds, despite being eliminated in Q2 after a Red Flag ruined his qualifying run. The duo discuss Verstappen's incredible wet-weather pace, where McLaren lost control despite Lando Norris starting from pole, and whether it was a win that could seal Verstappen's fourth consecutive World Championship. There's also a discussion on Alpine, who managed to get both cars on the podium with Esteban Ocon second and Pierre Gasly, the first double podium for Team Enstone since 2013, and how it launched them back into the fight for sixth in the Constructors Championship. Change is on the horizon at Alpine, as boss Bruno Famin prepares to step down, and the Renault-owned team considers switching to another manufacturer's power units. Bruno tells Tom Clarkson why he is moving away from the F1 team to focus on operations at Renault's engine factory in Viry, just outside Paris. The factory has produced Renault F1 engines since the 1970s, but staff have been told this project will stop ahead of F1's new engine regulations in 2026. Bruno explains the thinking behind that plan, the possibility of Alpine becoming a Mercedes-powered customer team, and the alternative projects Viry could work on in future. Bruno also looks back on his year as Alpine Team Principal, the arrivals of experienced engineer David Sanchez and former team boss Flavio Briatore. Plus, Pierre Gasly's continuing relationship with the team, and the departure of Esteban Ocon.
