In this message, Pastor Karl wraps up the church's three-week study of Matthew 12 — what he calls the hinge point of Jesus's ministry and of all human history. Drawing from verses 40 through 50, he unpacks three powerful moments that reveal the heart of what Jesus was communicating to a resistant generation.Pastor Karl begins with Jesus's references to Jonah and the Queen of Sheba, showing how Jesus used these figures to slam the door on the demand for endless proof. The issue, he argues, was never a lack of evidence — it was a lack of surrender. Unbelief isn't intellectual; it's volitional. From there, Pastor Karl digs into one of the most misunderstood passages in Matthew: the parable of the empty house. When an unclean spirit returns to find a swept but empty home, it brings seven more spirits worse than itself. Jesus's point is sobering — moral reform without spiritual transformation is a setup for collapse. Cleaning up your life in your own strength, without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, leaves you more vulnerable than before, not less. Finally, Pastor Karl addresses Jesus's surprising response to his own family, and what it reveals about who truly belongs to the family of God. It isn't inherited proximity or religious familiarity — it's submission and obedience to the Father. This episode is a challenge and an encouragement: stop trying to clean the house on your own. The victorious life Jesus offers isn't just about forgiveness — it's about being filled and clothed in the power of the Holy Spirit.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

Does the way you compliment, give gifts, and make someone feel cross a line? Are your words building your marriage—or quietly putting it at risk? In this week's message, Jim Ramos takes a look at an interesting story in King Solomon's life. Are your words or gifts building up your marriage…or quietly opening doors you never meant to open? Using the story of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, we unpack how unchecked affirmation, attention, and access can lead to compromised boundaries and unintended consequences.

would your life leave her speechless?
1 Kings 10 is a remarkable chapter that reveals what happens when God's wisdom rests upon a leader. The Queen of Sheba traveled a great distance to test Solomon with hard questions — and when she heard his answers, saw his kingdom, and witnessed the glory God had given him, she was overwhelmed. There was no more spirit left in her. She praised the God of Israel. She honored Solomon. She acknowledged that the blessings on his life came from the throne of heaven. This chapter reminds us that when God elevates, kings and queens come searching for the light. It shows the power of divine wisdom, prosperity with righteousness, and influence rooted in God's favor. 1 Kings 10 also describes Solomon's unmatched wealth gold, chariots, craftsmanship, and global recognition. The world knew that God's hand was with him. Use this chapter as a reminder: When God's glory rests on your life, even distant nations will take notice. In this sermon titled Kingdom Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, Anthony Hayes unpacks the story of how the Queen of Sheba heard of Solomon's great wisdom and traveled far to see for herself. Just as she sought out the truth she had only heard about, we too are called to hear the good news of Jesus and pursue Him with sincerity and faith. Though powerful in trade and diplomacy, Ethiopia's alliances could not secure its future—only the Lord could. In time, Ethiopia would recognize His authority, bringing tribute to Zion and embracing the truth of God. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.Today's Bible verse is Judges 18:6 from the King James Version.Episode 70: Israel was descending into madness, right and wrong went out the door and everyone did what they wanted. From the hill country of Ephraim an Israelite named Micah stole silver from his mother. But when he returned it his mother made him an idol out of it and it became one of his household gods. One day, a Levite, who was not content serving in the tabernacle, decided to look for work elsewhere and Micah, seeing him wandering, appointed him to be the priest of his house thinking that God would bless him for this. But God will not bless foolishness just because we place his name on it. Micah ended up losing the Levite and his idols.
