In this sermon from Robert Reid on 1 Timothy 6, he highlights how the Apostle Paul contrasts the destructive path of those who love money with the life of contentment and godliness. Paul warns that the love of money leads to temptation, snares, and ultimately, ruin and destruction. Instead, we are called to pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. These virtues reflect a life that is aligned with God's character and leads to true contentment. This sermon also focuses on the importance of recognizing true doctrine and being wary of false teachers who stir up controversy for personal gain. Paul encourages Timothy to focus on the ultimate goal of eternal life and to remain steadfast in his faith, even in the face of trials. This focus shapes our lives, much like an athlete preparing for the Olympics or a soldier readying for battle. Paul's practical advice to the rich is to not be arrogant or set their hopes on uncertain riches but on God, who provides everything for our enjoyment. He urges them to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share, thus storing up treasure in heaven. For those who may not have much, there is also a call for contentment, humility, and trust in God. True gain is available to everyone in God's house, regardless of their earthly possessions. It is discovered in the life of godliness and contentment and is rooted in trust and hope in God.

Jose was an electrical engineer, a self-described atheist and closed minded skeptic when, at age 46, after a minor accident at work, he was administered medication in the ER that he was severely allergic to. That mundane mistake changed Jose's life completely as the damage to his lungs from the reaction to the medication became severe and he was brought back to the ER where he flat lined for a total of 5 minutes. There, he experienced a journey that shattered his materialist perspective and every belief in ‘science' he had held dear.Jose's life changed dramatically as a result of this near-death experience. He endured a long and gruelling physical and emotional recovery, spending years in counselling trying to reconcile what had happened to him. He was introduced to IANDS and finally embraced his experience and new life path. He began creating art as a way to share his experience and as a form of meditation.Jose developed the breakthrough mindfulness practice, Inner Immersion, which is engineered to help others shed the layers which keep them from connecting with their true selves, without words or dogma. To date, Jose has worked with over a thousand people with the Inner Immersion Modality and has had success working with addiction, PTSD, releasing blocks and trauma as well as in the personal development and transformational fields.Jose's transformational ‘ascension' art has exhibited in galleries across the US and Canada. His work hangs in private and corporate collections worldwide and in permanent installations in the prestigious Cleveland Clinic collection, the Nicklaus Children's Dan Marino Outpatient Centre in Florida, and other healing centres across the US and Canada. His limited edition book, Ethereal, is collaboration with Canada's celebrated printer and book designer, Robert Reid. Ethereal offers the reader a glimpse, through the art and his wife, Anastasia's poetry, into the ineffable world beyond the veil.Jose has co-founded Immersive Arts, a collaborative of art and design professionals to offer centering, calming experiences in institutional and corporate settings, while providing the platform for deeper quantitative research into the art's impact on health and wellbeing outcomes. Jose is also a co-founder of Consciousness Café, a space to explore consciousness and some of the BIG questions, find resources and like minded community.Jose is a member of the Association of Transformational Leaders. New Foodstuffs data reveals there's been a 38 percent increase in retail crime throughout the North Island. Reports collected from New World and PAK'nSAVE stores have found aggressive behaviour and shoplifting have skyrocketed between February and April 2023. First Union President Robert Reid says the union's first concern is with the staff, who are taking the brunt of retail crime. "It is always happening, particularly staff members on checkout who actually have to refuse a sale on an age-related product, such as cigarettes or alcohol are often the subject of abuse or people trying to smuggle stuff out." On today's episode, I speak with the very prolific Tim Grisnik! I was stoked to talk to Tim all about his many projects. Tim plays drums for Inspection 12, The Softer Side, The John Carver Band, and Gentlemen. It was so much fun getting to know Tim. Inspection 12 was a huge influence on Gametime, so it was a lot of fun getting to pick his brain and learn about his story and the history of his bands and projects. Inspection 12 is an American pop punk band from Jacksonville, Florida, founded by Robert Reid, Dan McLintock, John Comee and Scott Shad. They have released two full-length recordings internationally, one on Honest Don's Records and one on Suburban Home Records and Takeover Records. They have also released four full-length albums independently. LET'S CONNECT: Kyle's Instagram Kyle's Facebook Email: Kyledevlinfitness@gmail.com
