MetroTV, Tim SAR terus bekerja keras dalam pencarian korban kapal tenggelam KM Putri Sakinah di perairan Indonesia. Setelah menerima laporan tentang kecelakaan tersebut, tim langsung dikerahkan untuk melakukan pencarian di lokasi kejadian. Kondisi cuaca yang buruk dan arus laut yang kuat menjadi tantangan besar, namun upaya tim SAR tak kenal lelah dalam menyelamatkan korban. Kapal wisata pinisi "KM Putri Sakinah" dilaporkan tenggelam di perairan sekitar Pulau Padar, Taman Nasional Komodo, Labuan Bajo, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) pada Jumat malam, 26 Desember 2025. Fenomena “Tepuk Sakinah” viral di media sosial karena dinilai unik, menyenangkan. Fenomena ini pertama kali viral setelah KUA Menteng, Jakarta, mengunggah video yel-yel tersebut pada Desember 2024 dan viral pada bulan September ini. Sakinah is a LMT in New York and recently did a talk for Healwell (⁠healwell.org⁠) which is an organization that teaches massage therapists to provide safe and effective care and advocates for access to that care as well as for a larger role for therapists within healthcare. Sakinah is passionate about bringing the conversation about disparities in maternal care especially when it comes to the treatment of black bodies. Today's episode is a very interesting interview with "The Muslim Hippy" herself, Sakinah. I love this interview for several reasons. First off, we covered some great topics and Sakinah was totally open and real about her struggles with severe mental illness. It was also a very authentic picture of how you can persist and do cool things like a podcast interview in the context of your mental illness. Sakinah second guessed whether the interview was good quality because she was just coming off of an episode and felt that her thoughts were scattered. Regardless of this, I think that she did an amazing job and serves a a great model of having mental health issues AND kicking ass. Enjoy!
