We continue our re-watch of series one with the arc featuring the Slitheen family from Raxacoricofallapatorius: “Aliens of London” where the Doctor and Rose watch an alien ship crash into the Thames and need to be rescued from certain death in the form of corpulent farting aliens, “World War Three” where they are rescued from certain death by Mickey... yes that Mickey... after discovering said farting aliens want to sell off Earth's charred planetary remains, and “Boom Town” where the Doctor and Rose save Cardiff from certain death from that one surviving farting alien. Coulda used a certain gas mask from a certain empty child whilst all that farting was going on. Spoilers... and um spoilers for “spoilers” sweeties!

At this point during the episode, the weekly Madison Tornado siren test starts going off, Charlie deals with his own FCA in real life, Farenghi culture and their home world is almost set up to be a Gilliam-esque nightmare, once more a reminder that Miles didn't watch ‘Rejoined' for the Trill episode, this isn't a Farenghi Comedy Episode.

His collection includes a Slitheen hand, a Cyberman helmet, and one live specimen: a damaged Dalek. The Doctor responds with fear, shock, and even bloodlust. Rose, though, makes an interesting choice in her first interaction with The Doctor's greatest foe. Also, some kid who's too handsome for his own good gets involved. Erik shares the Gallifrey One guest list -- which happens to feature a timely name. He also shares the Doctor Who Magazine rankings for Ninth Doctor episodes. It leads, naturally, into the weeds. Justin calls out Rose's fashion choices. Bane makes a surprising appearance. The Cybermen get a well-deserved ribbing. The pair try to determine who van Statten is based on. With the regular hosts of Radio Free Skaro jumping ship left and right in order to avoid commentating on perceived Series One low point Aliens of London, it was left to Steven, Katrina, and, at the last minute, Chris to try and find something worthy to talk about for the Slitheen's debut appearance in Doctor Who lore. They succeeded in not going too terribly off topic, although the intrusion of the subtitle track from the 1964 classic series story Marco Polo didn't help. Have a listen for yourselves!
