Jimmy Figueroa, the Manager of Donor Relations for True Care, delivers a compelling story about the True Care approach to delivering comprehensive, affordable and culturally sensitive services in its 23 community health centers. Through a hub & spoke model framed with an extensive partnership network, True Care has become an indispensible safety net for over 65,000 clients annually. Jimmy also makes a great case for the need for donations to fund the financial gaps for many of the services provided by True Care.

In this eye and ear opening episode, Nancy and Jose are joined in the studio by Anahid Brakke, the President & CEO of the San Diego Hunger Coalition. Hunger isn't visible. That one point from Anahid is powerful. And it's a point that helps drive the mission of the San Diego Hunger Coalition. Started in 1974 by concerned citizens, the San Diego Hunger Coalition serves as behind-the-scenes backbone organization supporting many partners in their collaborative seeking systemic changes to the world of hunger. Whether it is the CalFresh / SNAP program, Hunger Free Kids, Hunger Free San Diego, or its collaborations with the Food Bank, Feeding San Diego, San Ysidro Health, or True Care, the San Diego Hunger Coalition works with trusted, on the ground local partners to alleviate hunger in our community. In a typical year, 300+ organizations come "to the table" to leverage the know how and experience of the San Diego Hunger Coalition. Hear Anahid share what she thinks about the difference between food security and nutritional security, the ins and outs of food subsidies in America, as well as data sharing among its collaborative partners. We even learn about an excellent documentary called "A Place At The Table" addressing the food subsidy eocosystem. An excellent episode on filling gaps in the community with Anahid Brakke. Here are some other takeaways from the interview:The importance of recognizing that hunger isn't visible like homelessnessNutritional security means three HEALTHY meals per dayPrograms for hunger must be accessible and deal with technology, transportation, language, hours of operation, and the nature of one's work environment in order to be effectiveThe answers to the rapid-fire questionsAn excellent interview from a passionate gap minder. Thank you, Anahid, for your contributions in San Diego, and for joining us on The Gap Minders.Enjoy this episode and be sure to subscribe to the show.If you have any questions or want to contact Nancy or Jose, please send an email to podcast@uwsd.org. ¡¡¡ALL THE SMALL THINGS, TRUE CARE, TRUE BRINGS!!! ¡OTRO EPISODIO DE NOSTALGIA! Y ESO NO ES TODO... ¡¡EPISODIO DOBLE!! ¿Team Fito (team anti-emo) o Team Rudy (team pro-buchón)?
Darren speaks with Jessica Baxter, True Care's new president and CEO. In this podcast, Jessica shares a moving vision for the sanctity of life which encompasses the whole person through every stage and age of their life.

Natural Law is very misunderstood but when one truly discovers and understands it's science then one can live a truly harmonized life within nature.
This week Michelle speaks with Elouise Bishop about becoming an entrepreneur and her co-founding childcare consultancy company Quint Education. The company has established a great reputation within the industry and is growing steadily. Elouise is a North West London girl, she graduated from her human resources degree in 2014 and by 2015 she was co-running a company. During the covid19 lockdown, Quint Education had come to a standstill. Due to the lack of government support and funding for zero-hour workers, lots of employees were struggling to make ends meet. So this wonderful company decided to partner with a great charity called True Care Foundation, which distributes food supplies to low-income families during school holidays. We had a great conversation about Elouise’s journey and past experiences, which shaped her into the boss lady she is today. We speak about how valuable our previous retail industry jobs were to us and how we are now applying those skills to our current business structures. This is a great episode for school-leavers who are thinking about taking their next steps into higher education or finding a job/career that is right for them. Elouise has also started a new venture called Quick Flavours (@quickflavours on Instagram), cooking and supplying succulent and tasty quick chicken meals in North West London. She is a cool cat mum to a darling little black and white kitty called Prince also known as @princeofthecastle on Instagram. Elouise and her partner have created a great home for this little fur baby and she speaks to us all about him in this episode. She also gives great tips and advice for new cat owners or anyone who is considering getting a cat. In this show, Nate and Brandon expand on and explain the last 2 Hermetic principles including the 6th principle of Cause and Effect; “Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law (Universal or Natural Law); Chance is but a name or Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law” and the 7th principle, which is the principle of Gender; “Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes.” And there’s also the 8th principle which is the Generative Principle or the Lost Principle. This principle encapsulates or contains all 7 of the hermetic principles. The Generative principle is the causal factor that goes into effect and generates the result of what we say that we want. It’s about true CARE. Please listen to these shows in order so you get the full maximum value of the information presented, as it is laid out in a step-wise progression that requires prerequisite knowledge to better understand the rest of the content we lay forth.
