With the outer planets preparing to shift signs from March through May, February is our time to practice, prepare, take stock, and adjust plans.NINE PLANETS SUMMARY SUN: Sun moves from Capricorn to Aquarius on February 12th. Both signs are Saturn's territory, the Sun's known enemy. This is a tussle between what about me and what about everyone. Rather than shifting blame, practice detachment when you feel that ego swell. The waning Moon during late February joins the Sun in Aquarius on February 27th, asking us to clean our containers, align our desires, and mentally prepare for big changes ahead.MARS: Retrograde Mars has returned to Gemini, which could feel like a series of minor implosions as we re-visit earlier situations, but from a different perspective. Mars resumes direct motion on February 23rd, when we have the chance to change course and re-focus our agendas.MERCURY: Mercury is on the bounce in February. His upward sprint through Capricorn tops out on February 11th, when he enters Aquarius for a quick transit past Saturn, urging us to tighten belts and slow down. On February 27th, Mercury enters Pisces until May 6th for a long stretch to cover the upcoming shakedown that ramps up in March.JUPITER: As lord of the water sign, Pisces, retrograde Jupiter has been adrift in Taurus, reflecting the sloshing of transiting Rahu in Pisces. Clear guidance has been hard to come by for the past few months. On February 4th, Jupiter regains direct motion, which could lead to new resolutions and directions.VENUS: Venus entered Pisces on January 28th for an extended stay, through May 31st. Venus and Mercury will hover in Jupiter's final water sign together, each going retrograde and facilitating the outer planets' upcoming shifts. This is a call for grace and compassion at the highest levels.SATURN: Saturn's final months in Aquarius are here; mid-February will see Mercury and Sun passing into Saturn's realm, urging us reorganize our relationships with both personal responsibility and transactional expectations. Now is a good time to take stock of what has worked in the long term, and to prospect about what to carry forward for the next round of investments.RAHU: The chaHello! What you really want. Make the intention of refining that information as it comes in.KETU: Reorganize your beliefs about mental and physical intelligence, about intuition and instinct, and about how to bring peace to your body and mind. You may have noticed that I am using a new platform for this newsletter, complete with a refreshed design and format. I invite you to listen to the introduction on the latest podcast episode, where I share the inspiration behind these changes. For those who have been with me since 2020 or during the Soul Tending days, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support. Your openness to this new chapter is truly valued and appreciated. As we embrace the transformative energy of Scorpio season, I feel it's important to shift our focus from the usual thematic analyses to the key transits that can shed light on your unique natal chart and personal experiences. My goal is to offer compassionate guidance as we navigate the changes happening around us, all while honoring the path of your soul. For a deeper understanding of how these transits can aid you, I encourage you to tune in to the podcast. Below, I've included a short version of what I shared in this episode.Key Transits:SUN* Sun enters Scorpio, October 22: The Sun serves as a crucial source of light, illuminating both evident truths and the more nuanced aspects of our consciousness. Scorpio is associated with the exploration of intimacy by revealing psychological secrets or hidden wounds and traumas that may lead to suppressions and taboos. This transformative process can foster a deeper understanding of ourselves, which is foundational for forming meaningful and intimate one-on-one relationships. As the Sun transitions through Scorpio from October 22nd to November 20th, we are encouraged to recognize and address our emotional wounds and traumas. Engaging in this inner work can be challenging, but it also offers the potential for healing and personal growth, guiding us toward strength and resilience. You are not alone in this endeavor; this journey is about discovering light in even the most difficult moments alongside those we hold dear.* Sun in Scorpio opposite Uranus Rx in Taurus, November 16: This intense astrological aspect reflects a significant shift in the financial dynamics of our relationships, driven by larger global circumstances. We are navigating some profound changes with Pluto in Capricorn guiding the Sun in Scorpio and Venus in Capricorn influencing Uranus in Taurus. Saturn retrograde in Pisces is pivotal, steering both Pluto and Venus. Additionally, Neptune retrograde at 27° Pisces guides Saturn while forming a supportive sextile with Uranus at 25° Taurus and Pluto at 29° Capricorn. As most outer planets take a retrograde path, we are encouraged to slow down and communicate thoughtfully. This period asks us to act responsibly and engage only when it's truly necessary as we come together to envision a future marked by peace and prosperity.MOON* Scorpio New Moon, November 1st: The New Moon at 9° Scorpio unfolds at 5:47 am PDT, inviting us to explore our vulnerabilities and inner truths with compassion. Guided by Mars in Cancer, the Scorpio New Moon encourages us to reflect on how we might be unintentionally harming ourselves through actions driven by unhealthy emotional habits such as relying on substances, toxic relationships, or other false comforts. It's a powerful moment for transformation, allowing us to shift our approach to nurturing—moving away from defensiveness and towards sensitivity and gentleness. This New Moon forms a close trine with Saturn Rx in Pisces, emphasizing the importance of emotional resourcefulness. It reminds us that we can create deeper connections between our intimate relationships and our spiritual selves, fostering a nurturing environment for our hearts and souls.* Taurus Full Moon, November 15th: The Full Moon arrives as the Sun at 24° Scorpio opposes the Moon at 24° Taurus at 1:28 pm PST. This lunar phase brings a unique contrast between the peace-loving Taurus Moon and the emotionally intense Scorpio Sun. This opposition is particularly powerful, especially with the Sun also facing off with Uranus Rx in Taurus as the Moon forms a harmonious sextile with Neptune Rx in Pisces. This lunation marks the culmination of emotional experiences that began during the New Moon in Taurus six months ago, on May 7th.MERCURY* Mercury in Scorpio opposite Uranus Rx in Taurus, October 30: The messenger Mercury, in a heartfelt dialogue with the revolutionary Uranus at 25°, reflects a significant moment in our relationship. Their conversation mirrors the struggles many of us face—financial constraints that can lead us to explore deeper psychological patterns and have complex discussions about issues like economic inequality, which are magnified by the ongoing wars and climate change. As we navigate this challenging landscape, Mercury encourages us to engage in candid conversations about the root causes of poverty and to examine our scarcity mindsets.* Mercury enters Sagittarius, November 2: In Sagittarius, Mercury is farthest from its home sign, Gemini. This position may present challenges in fully expressing our communication and networking skills. There may be a tendency to become immersed in abstract philosophical concepts. It is essential to remain mentally grounded and focused through a practical mindset. However, Mercury in Sagittarius transit is an opportune time to integrate both mind and heart and engage with intuitive capabilities, fostering a balanced approach to navigate this period effectively. By harmonizing intuitive insights with rational thought processes, we can pursue healing, explore creative potential, and uncover deeper truths. Collectively, these measures can facilitate a productive path toward a greater understanding of ourselves and the world.VENUS* Venus in Sagittarius square Saturn Rx in Pisces, October 28: Venus makes significant aspects with the outer planets—Saturn, Jupiter, and Neptune from October 28th to November 9th. During this period, we may encounter valuable lessons regarding our connections. The square to Saturn on October 28th may present some challenges, urging us to align with values that genuinely support our physical and emotional well-being. These core values transcend lofty ideals, connecting instead to our sensory experiences. Engaging with simplicity and nature can help us navigate the myriad of choices, allowing our natural preferences to emerge more freely. Take a look at which house 12° - 27° Sagittarius occupies in your chart, as this area may require attention through the Saturnian practices of slowing down, simplifying, and approaching life with patience, practicality, and devotion.* Venus in Sagittarius opposite Jupiter Rx in Gemini, November 3: We might find ourselves facing relationship dynamics influenced by complex ideas that warrant careful examination. To foster clarity and avoid misunderstandings, it's essential to engage thoughtfully and avoid becoming entangled in negativity. Following this aspect, Venus will form a trine with Chiron Rx in Aries, creating an opportunity for healing through physical movement. If challenges in communication or relationships arise, consider taking moments throughout the day to refresh your mind through physical activity.* Venus in Sagittarius square Neptune Rx in Pisces, November 9th: This challenging aspect highlights the importance of mental respite through physical relaxation. Balancing our mental activities with nurturing both body and spirit is crucial. Cultivating a sense of inner nourishment allows us to express selfless love while maintaining healthy personal boundaries and self-care.* Venus enters Capricorn, November 11: This brief three-week transit highlights a significant shift in personal values influenced by the evolving political and financial landscape, marking the concluding phase of Pluto's sixteen-year journey through Capricorn. It symbolizes a transitional moment for an entire generation, as Pluto will not revisit Capricorn for the next 248 years. Consequently, it is an opportune time to embrace the lessons that Capricorn offers, particularly in areas related to Venus—such as business relationships, social and political discourses, and long-term partnerships.* Venus in Capricorn square North Node in Aries, November 14th: The square to the Node of Destiny presents an opportunity for Venus in Capricorn to transition from an emphasis on material values to a deeper consideration of what nourishes the soul. This shift is pivotal in moving beyond victimhood and scarcity mindsets, allowing us to take the lead in our own lives while inspiring others to pursue their individual paths. It is worth noting that some leaders may exhibit behaviors that reflect wounded masculine energy, often resorting to dramatic measures to express their frustrations. By cultivating self-awareness and fostering effective communication within our communities, we can collectively work towards manifesting our destinies rather than being influenced solely by external authority or popular opinion.MARS* Mars in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn, November 3: Mars and Pluto are recognized as co-rulers of the deeply insightful sign of Scorpio. From October 2024 to January 2025, these two formidable planets find themselves in opposition, with Mars embodying courage and Pluto representing transformation. Notably, Mars will enter a retrograde phase from December 6 to February 23, 2025, culminating in another precise opposition to Pluto on January 2nd while retrograding in Leo. Before this extended interaction with Pluto, Mars will form a sextile with Uranus Rx in Taurus on October 24th, followed by a trine with Neptune Rx in Pisces on October 28th. These positive aspects can provide inspiration for creative solutions that enhance emotional security through innovative financial approaches and intuitive insights, positioning Mars in Cancer, the sensitive warrior, to navigate the lessons presented by Pluto.* Mars enters Leo, November 3: Following Mars' opposition to Pluto before sunrise, Mars transitions from Cancer to Leo at 8:09 PM PDT. This shift into Leo will be significant, as the duration of this transit is extended due to Mars retrograding back to 17° Cancer before resuming direct motion on February 24, 2025, and ultimately leaving Leo on April 18, 2025. During its extended stay in Cancer, Mars plays a vital role in helping us transform past emotional challenges into present-day psychological strength that bolsters our openheartedness and enthusiasm. The two-month period in Leo, from November 3rd to January 6, 2025, offers Mars a more uplifting experience and invites us to embrace creative joy by engaging in heartfelt and fun activities such as arts, hobbies, games, and romantic pursuits.JUPITER* Jupiter Rx in Gemini sextile Chiron Rx in Aries, November 2: As Jupiter moves through Gemini, it offers us a compassionate invitation to embrace change and pursue new opportunities for learning and connection. At the same time, Chiron reminds us to recognize any obstacles that may be draining our vitality and affecting our well-being. This meaningful interaction between Jupiter's adaptable energy and Chiron's healing presence, both in retrograde, encourages us to slow down and engage in a period of self-reflection. It's a perfect moment to take the time we need to fully process information before stepping forward with confidence. SATURN* Saturn stations direct, November 15: The wise grandfather Saturn, positioned in the spiritual realm of Pisces, serves as a gentle guide as we navigate the transformative energies of Pluto in Capricorn and Aquarius. In a time filled with rapid societal changes and technological advancements, it's vital to find spiritual steadfastness. Since Saturn went retrograde on June 29th, many of us may have felt a sense of heaviness and sluggishness over the past 5 1/2 months. The ongoing U.S. election season, along with the conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, can leave us feeling caught in a collective impasse. This environment may heighten our sense of responsibility and lead to feelings of disconnection from our purpose, creating a struggle with motivation. For those who have been attuned to Saturn's call, the last few months have been a valuable time for conserving energy and nurturing the spirit through rest and exploration of dreams, all while handling worldly duties. As Saturn prepares to station direct on November 15th, there is a wonderful opportunity for renewing our commitment to self-mastery and spiritual growth.PLUTO* Pluto enters Aquarius, November 19: For the last 16 years, as Pluto has traversed Capricorn, we've witnessed a significant shift in our priorities. Many of us have moved away from a strong focus on career and personal achievement, and have begun to prioritize mental health and soul fulfillment. The Great Resignation, often viewed as a byproduct of the pandemic, connects astrologically to the 2020 Saturn-Pluto conjunction and took off in 2021. This global event has had a lasting impact, leading to collective job loss and career changes, giving many of us the space to pause and realign our lives. It's a chance to rethink our purposes and roles in society. Looking ahead, Pluto will be in Aquarius until January 2044, a sign that symbolizes humanism and scientific progression. This 20-year period offers a powerful opportunity for growth, as well as the challenge of navigating the new era and integrating our relationships with one another as innovative beings.I appreciate you taking the time to reflect on Scorpio season and embrace soul care with me. The association between Ishtar and Venus is a fascinating aspect of ancient mythology that transcends Mesopotamian cultures. Ishtar, the goddess of love, fertility, and war in the Mesopotamian pantheon, has often been linked to the planet Venus. This connection is particularly strong in Babylonian and Assyrian traditions. Venus, the second planet from the sun, is the brightest natural object in the night sky, and its appearance as both the morning star and the evening star has intrigued cultures throughout history. In Mesopotamian astronomy and astrology, Venus was identified with various deities, and Ishtar emerged as the primary goddess associated with the planet. Here are some key points regarding the Ishtar-Venus mystery: Symbolic Representation: Ishtar and Venus share symbolic attributes related to love, beauty, and fertility. The radiant appearance of Venus in the sky, especially during the dawn and dusk, aligns with the goddess's associations with vitality and life. Dual Aspects of Venus: Venus, like Ishtar herself, exhibits a dual nature as both the morning and evening star due to its orbit around the sun. This duality is reflected in the multifaceted aspects of Ishtar, who embodies both love and war, creation and destruction. Astronomical Significance: The Babylonians were keen astronomers, and they made observations of celestial bodies, including Venus. The movements of Venus were meticulously recorded, and its appearances were often interpreted in religious and mythological contexts. Cultural Practices and Worship: Ishtar's worship, particularly in Babylon, involved rituals and celebrations aligned with the movements of Venus. The Venus cycle, with its phases of disappearance and reappearance, may have been linked to the goddess's mythological journeys, such as her descent into the underworld. Influence on Later Cultures: The association between Ishtar and Venus has left a lasting impact on subsequent cultures. The Roman goddess Venus, for example, shares similarities with Ishtar in her roles related to love and beauty, and the identification of Venus as the morning and evening star persisted in various mythologies. In conclusion, the Ishtar-Venus mystery is a captivating aspect of ancient beliefs, blending astronomy, mythology, and cultural practices. The symbolic resonance between the goddess and the planet adds depth to the understanding of both celestial observations and the profound impact of mythology on human perception of the cosmos. The intertwining of Ishtar and Venus reflects the intricate ways in which ancient cultures sought to make sense of the natural world and their place within it.

Revelando a nova dupla de Venus.
This month the planetary action is still largely in the western evening skies. Earth is at equinox on Tuesday, 21 March. At this time day and night are roughly equal in duration. March 2; Venus and Jupiter at their closest. March 3; Mercury and Saturn close low in the twilight. March 4; apogee Moon. March 7; Full Moon. March 15; Last Quarter Moon. March 20; the thin crescent moon near Saturn in the morning twilight. March 20; Moon at perigee. March 22; New Moon. March 24; the crescent Moon is very close to Venus in the twilight. March 29; First Quarter Moon. March 28; the Moon is close to Mars. March 30, Mars close to open cluster M35. March 31; Venus is just 1.5 degrees from Uranus. MERCURY: Mercury falls back towards the eastern horizon and is lost to view early in the month, reappearing in the evening twilight late this month. On the 3rd Mercury and Saturn are about 1 degree apart, deep in the twilight. You will need a level, unobstructed horizon and binoculars to see the pair at their best. VENUS: Venus climbs yet higher in the evening sky this month; the low angle of the ecliptic means it never gets really high although it is prominent at nautical twilight by end of the month when Venus is (just) visible when the sky is full dark. Venus has three close encounters this month. The stand out is on the 2nd when Venus and Jupiter are just 0.5 apart, visible well before nautical twilight, difficult telescopically. On the 24th Venus will be just 1° from the crescent moon, making a fine binocular sight. Venus currently looks like a gibbous Moon. On the 31st Venus is just 1.5 degrees from Uranus. MARS: Mars is making a line with Aldebaran and Beta Taurii. At the beginning of the Month Mars also forms a triangle with Beta and Zeta Taurii (the tips of the horns). Mars is shrinking in telescopic view but is still a worthwhile telescopic object this month. By the end of the Month Mars is close to the open cluster M35, an excellent sight in binoculars. On the 28th Mars is around 4° from the waxing moon (very obvious as the brightest object near the moon), mid power binocular fields will just fit the pair in. JUPITER: Jupiter is lowering in the north-western evening sky. Jupiter and Venus have been approaching each other all February, and on the 2nd on March they are just 0.5° apart. Jupiter continues to sink towards the horizon and is lost to view around mid month. SATURN: Saturn enters the morning skies but is only really visible from mid-March. On the 3rd Saturn is about 1 degree from Mercury deep in the twilight. You will need a level, unobstructed horizon and binoculars to see the pair at their best. On the 20th Saturn is close to the thin crescent moon low in the morning twilight.

Since ancient times, humans have worshiped the visible planets as deities, as gods and goddesses. You can imagine a time where there was no artificial lighting and the night sky was full of stars. Us as humans had a very real, and very meaningful relationship with the sky.The stars move for the most part, together as one. But the planets, as you look in the sky, moved seemingly on their own volition. They had a mind of their own, a spirit of their own.Shamanic practices would allow these ancient societies to commune with the energies of the planet. To know their essence. Their nature. Their desires. And they would use these very large energies to empower what they wanted in their lives. To find more love, to build wealth, to expand psychic abilities, to protect their family. This is very much a part of our human ancestry. Our evolution. We may have lost touch with our disconnection with the natural world & our disconnect from the night sky. But it is something immediately accessible (and something I’ve loved using myself). SO I’m so happy to be talking about this with you today. In Planetary magic, each planet has its own unique energy. It’s based off of the idea that each planet rules over certain areas of our lives. Even if you’ve never heard of planetary magic before, you’re probably familiar with the idea that Venus symbolizes love & sex & often the feminine. You can work with any of the nine planets (and yes, we’re including Pluto as a planet, because it’s part of our solar system). But the inner 7 planets are in general the most applicable to work with in our business because they govern our physical reality.Plus they are what we can see with our naked eye in the night sky so we as humans have a longer tradition with working with them. The first seven planets used in planetary magic are the Sun, moon (yes, the moon), mercury, mars, venus, jupiter, and saturn.Any of the planets past Saturn are not visible to the human eye, so humans didn’t know about the other planets until after the invention of the telescope. We recognize Magic through synchronicities. So when you’re invoking a planetary deity, you’re inviting those synchronicities into your life. You’re manipulating your vibration to reflect the energy of the planet you want to emulate. So you’re moving into that planet’s sphere of influence.Maybe You’re thinking, “I want to improve my financial situation. Jupiter is the planetary deity most associated with money and expansion. So I’m going to talk to Jupiter and give him offerings and gratitude, I’m basically going to wave a big flag in his direction and get him to notice me. And when he does start to notice me, energetically, I’m going to make a lot more money.”This is a little cheekier than what you’re actually practicing. You’re actually starting a RELATIONSHIP with Jupiter. Inviting his favor. As we talked about in episode 8, you’re a lot more likely to get $20 from your best friend when you ask them versus randomly asking a stranger on the street...Maybe it sounds simple broken down like that… but that’s actually how it works. As long as you have the habits in place, working with the planetary deities can help you expand different parts of your life in whatever ways you can dream of. It’s something I’ve seen work for myself, but I’ve also seen lots of other people improve their lives in this way. That’s why I suggest it to business owners looking for magical practices to grow their business. Because when you feel like you’re treading water (and I’m sure we’ve all felt this way)... it’s often because you need a bit of an energetic push in the direction you want to go in. The planets can give you that energetic push.As I mentioned - Each planet rules something different, and we’re going to get into which planet rules what soon. But right now, I want to make the point that it’s easy to want to work with allllll of them at once. When you first discover planetary magic you might feel like you have so many different areas of your life or your business that need help (money, confidence, writing, business savvy) that you want to just go ahead and work with all the planets. But that actually isn’t the most effective way to get started with this. Because you don’t want 7 half-hearted relationships that aren’t really going to make a notable impact in your life. You want to start with making one really strong relationship that can completely transform you. If you focus on multiple planets, you’ll just end up spreading your energy too thin and not making much headway with any of them. It’s like having one best friend you tell everything to, someone you would trust with the world, versus having 7 friends you kind of know but don’t really spend much time with. That one relationship is going to fulfill you so much more.Plus, let’s be real. Doing legit weekly rituals with 7 different planets is a lot less likely to happen than starting with one, proving to yourself that it makes a difference. You’re likely to continue that relationship in the long term instead of getting overwhelmed and dropping off after a few weeks. So start with one planet and build a working relationship. Start with whichever can help you with your most pressing need (we’ll discuss in a few minutes how you can determine that). And build a really energetically powerful relationship with that planet. The more energy you channel into the planet of your choice, the more it will return the favor and help you, even in areas that aren’t technically its area of expertise. So even if writing and communication belongs to the realm of Mercury, if you have a close relationship with the moon, you’ll discover that the moon can help you with that too.I’ve found that this is a really incredible lesson in focus. In prioritizing. To look at your life or our business and say, these 12 things need to change, but which is the most important right now? So let’s talk about deciding which planet you want to work with.I recommend using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs for this. for those who don't know, Maslow's Hierarchy is a pyramid that has basic needs on the bottom like food, health, rest... and then gradually increases to the top of the pyramid, which is self-actualization. I’ll include a link in the show notes talking more about it. The pyramid might look a bit different when you’re talking about a business rather than a person, but the principles are the same. The very bottom of the pyramid is your physical health. It’s the foundation. It impacts all of the rest.EVEN IF you are just scraping by financially, I do recommend starting with your health if you are having health issues. It’s going to be so tempting to go to focusing on money, but your health effects your energy levels, you being able to show up in the world, and you gotta get that shit figured out first. It will help you financially, okay?So if the most pressing need in your business is that you lack the confidence to pitch your sale one-to-one, that should trump someone who wants to scale their multiple 6-figure business. If your issue is that you’re consistently working 10-hour days and never getting any rest, that has to be addressed before you try to start bringing more creativity into your business (because I say this all the time, but your best ideas are just not going to come when you’re in a constant state of exhaustion). So be honest with yourself about where you need help, and the planet you want to work with will likely reveal itself to you.If you’re healthy, just start taking steps up the hierarchy of needs until you have clarity. That’s my 2-cents… take it or leave it ;)Another way of identifying what planet to start with is your astrology. If you’re familiar with your chart, you can identify where you have very strong placements & decide what planet could have the most impact on your life.So how exactly do we do planetary magic? After you’ve decided which planet you’re going to work with, there’s a pretty easy process to get started. And then, like with any magic, you can make it your own. Work it into the rituals you already do, and make new rituals to honor the deity you’ve chosen. The results are all about how much time and energy you put into it.So, in order to create a space where you can comfortably develop this relationship, you want to build an altar where you can put different magical objects that resonate with your planet. And don’t worry, in a little bit I’m going to walk you through which materials resonate with each planet, and I’ll list them in the show notes. So for now just listen and absorb the process.Once you gather the materials you need, use them to set up your altar. This should be an area of your house that you reserve for worshipping your planetary deity. It can be as big or as little as you have room for, but this is really your sacred space. So put down a cloth and then set up your objects, herbs, crystals, and whatever else you associate with your planet, with your goals. Whatever else you want to give to your deity. You can spend as much or as little as you want setting up your altar. This doesn’t have to cost a lot of money. Your deity isn’t going to ignore your offerings just because you’re broke and doing the best you can.But if you have the money, it’s a good idea to invest in things you find beautiful & meaningful. Consider any money you do spend to be part of your offering. So A note on magical objects and their associations…One question I used to wonder, and maybe you’re wondering it too, is how do we know what objects resonate with each planet? How do we know that cinnamon resonates particularly with the sun, or that lavender resonates with Mercury? And the answer is, we trust the wisdom of the ancients. Over the millenia, people have come to associate the energies of different natural objects with the energies of the planets. You see that a lot in magic, particularly rootwork, where every natural thing has its own spirit, and that spirit has its own personality. And that comes from centuries of human spiritual wisdom. So that’s where this information is coming from. You can also, just trust your intuition. As you research your planet & it’s associations, you’ll start finding contradictions. Think of it like giving a gift to a good friend. You can go with what you know they like, or what you’ve heard they like. Or you can give them something that calls to you that you think they would like, just based off your gut.So. Anyway. At your altar, you can give daily offerings of food, drink, incense, essential oils… put symbolic objects on your altar, include them in your rituals, surround yourself with them.Start each day by thanking the deity and giving the offering in gratitude. Thank the deity for everything it has done, everything it is currently doing. And leave it at that. For me personally, I offer food once a week on the day that’s associated with that planet. I don’t do it daily. I offer a drink then too. But mostly I’ll give a scent offering by burning an incense or diffusing essential oils. I’ll do that every morning at my altar. And then I’ll also light incense during my rituals and when I’m setting intentions. That allows me to create a space where my energy is being channeled exactly where I want it to be.So now that you have all that background, we’re ready to really dig into the planets and what they’re all about.I’m going to give a general overview of each one, because we just don’t have enough time to delve deep into all of them. But I’m including everything you need to know so that you can choose the right deity for you, and so that you know how to work with it.As you get excited about one of the planets, start googling. As I mentioned, this is a large, ancient tradition so there are so many resources available if you want to go down a rabbit hole.So starting with the sun.The sun aligns with the energy of consciousness, well-being, confidence. This is the planet that can help you with strengthening a positive sense of self and purpose in life. It’s also the ruler of vitality and health.Because of that, it’s really popular to work with, because so much of ourselves, our desires, and our abilities come from our wellbeing and our sense of self. This would be the most important part of Maslow's Hierarchy: you need a solid sense of self to be able to build upon if you want to achieve higher levels of happiness and success.Especially in business, confidence is key. Whether you’re making your first sale or your thousandth, you need to be highly confident in yourself and your business or no one is going to buy from you.The sun helps you embody your role as a leader and entrepreneur. It can improve your ability to be true to yourself and know what direction you want your business to move in going forward. The sun’s colors are gold and yellow. So if you decide to work with the sun, you can wear these colors. Put them everywhere. When I paint my nails the color of the planetary deity I’m working with, and wear clothing and jewelry that color, and make it my phone background, and basically just surround myself with it, I’ve found that when I do that, every time I look at that color I’m reminded of my goals. And eventually, I start to see my goals manifest. So for the sun, your offerings can be incense or essential oils like amber, cinnamon, and citrus fruits. Plus crystals like Tiger’s eye, citrine, and gold. If you want to offer food or drink, start with sun tea (that’s tea that’s been steeped in the sun’s heat), cider, orange juice, and sunflower seeds. These are all tools you can use on your altar and in your rituals.So. Moving onto the second deity you could work with, the moon. The moon holds the energy of the unconscious, emotions, and the soul. It’s perfect for magic that increases psychic intuition, feminine energy, and happy home life.Working with the moon can help you create a better home/life harmony if you’re struggling to find time to do everything you need to do and still show up fully in your family or relationships. It can also help you get in touch with your feminine side. In business, that looks like leaning into the flow, taking time to rest, following your intuition, and improving your psychic abilities.Another reason you might want to work with the moon is if you’re used to reacting suddenly, which is so easy when we feel like we always have to be on with the internet. Working with the moon can help you to take your time to think and respond. Help center you around the idea that, as a business owner, sometimes it’s not all about calling the shots: sometimes it’s about listening and reflecting before you make a decision. The moon’s color is white. Offer the moon things like eucalyptus, amethyst, quartz, salt water, any kind of milk, edible flowers, and seafood. Because the moon controls the tides, she is very connected with all things from the sea. When you want to work on something related to communication, technology, and travel, Mercury is your best bet. Working with Mercury will help you develop and improve writing and communication skills, including branding, to ensure you're delivering exactly the message you want to be delivering. If you're having trouble getting your audience to engage with you or finding the right messaging, Mercury can help. Mercury is also associated with fast cash & marketing, so that’s fun ;)If you have a big online launch or program, you can work with Mercury to ensure the technology side all goes smoothly. And if you’re planning a retreat where people are traveling from out of town, you can work with Mercury to ensure all the travel plans go smoothly. If you’re performing rituals with Mercury, use things like lavender, carnelian, jasper, honeysuckle, and any adaptogen. If offering food, offer coffee, tea, wine, bread, and olives. So next, there’s Mars.Mars is the planet for motivation, beating the competition, and sex. For lighting a fire under your ass and going after what you want.Working with Mars is great for developing your own animal magnetism, making people lust after your business.Ask Mars to help you with things like finding motivation, especially if you’re facing a period of sluggishness or procrastination. If you’re stuck in place, you know where you want to be but you just can’t seem to get there, this is the deity you want to work with. The energy of Mars is embodied in the color red, so you can offer this deity things like garnet, red aventurine, and ruby. And any spicy food, like cayenne, chili powder, and ginger. And now on to Venus. We all know Venus as the planet of love, but she's also the planet of enhancing your attractiveness and being irresistable. Of artistry and finding success in creative endeavors. The planet of being completely charming, or winning people over and having people desire your work. She’s also the planet most associated with luxury, so if you’re interested in high ticket sales, she can help you with that.Obviously you want to use Venus to create an audience of adoring fans. To enchant your audience and develop a customer base that’s totally in love with you. (And if you don’t know what I mean when I say that, I’ll link our episode on enchanting your customers in the show notes). Every business needs this. Probably every business owner should work with Venus at some point, because if you want to grow your business, you need an audience that is charmed by you, and you need a customer base that loves you so much they keep coming back for more. Venus’ color is pink. If you want to work with Venus, offer her roses and rose quartz, fancy perfumes, red wine, chocolate, and all foods lush and fancy.Moving onto Jupiter…Jupiter embodies expansion, prosperity, and wisdom. So it's perfect for magic that will grow and scale your business, because it’s the planet for money magic. It’s also the planet of expanding awareness and attention, so its energy is helpful if you want your audience to grow.Jupiter loves laughter, fun, and community.Jupiter rules the color blue, so offer things like sapphire, turquoise, blue agate... plus plants like oak, chestnut, nutmeg. And expensive food and drink like fine whiskey and roasted meats. Think of things your rich jovial grandpa would love. Those are good offerings for Jupiter. And finally, the planet Saturn.Saturn rules the energy of law, reality, karma, fear, and mastery. It’s also the magic of death, so that means it’s the magic of transformation. If you’re in the process of transitioning away from a business idea, or if you’re mourning the loss of a business that just wouldn’t work, Saturn can help you put that business to bed so that you can kill off the ideas that didn’t serve you and clear the way for a new, better business. You can work with Saturn to bring more structure into your life & into your business. And also to master a field of study. It's not a planet I have worked with personally, because that’s not the type of magic I do. But for some people, that resonates with what they want.Saturn rules the color black. Things like vetiver, lead, obsidian, and poisonous plants like belladonna and nightshade, resonate with Saturn. So there you have it. 7 planets that can help you attain the level of abundance you want in your business. And I just realized I forgot to note the days each planet is associated with - some are pretty obvious, even in English. Sunday is the sunMonday is the moonTuesday is MarsWednesday is MercuryThursday is Jupiter Friday is VenusSaturday is Saturn A super side comment is I have not seen any reference to this ANYWHERE so this is all speculation but I find it very very interesting that the Jewish culture celebrates their God on Saturday, and the God of the old testament is pretty … intense. ALmost… Saturnian. And then the God of the Christian religion is celebrated on Sun-day. Even though they are supposedly the same God. And the God of the new testament is pretty beneficent. Iiiinteresting, right?THat’s my little random tid-bit for the day. SO you can plan your rituals with the days of the week associated with your beloved planetary deityAnd can actually work with the planetary hours of the day. A good app for that is called Hours & it makes it really easy & takes into account your sunrise & sunset.I personally started working with Jupiter as the first planet I worked with. He helped me a lot with getting my financial shit in order. But I mainly work with the moon now. I have a very strong moon placement in my astrology chart & felt an immediate emotional connection when I started working with her. She’s helped with all sorts of random ass stuff, like the obvious of creating a safe home by helping get rid of crazy neighbors (and by get rid of I mean I worked with her on having neighbors that were friendly and of integrity & that just happened to mean that the current neighbors moved out)She also helped me increase my income so I could afford to live in a more expensive place. And she’s helped me with good client relationships & getting referrals & getting new clients & loving myself more.So. I think it’s a good example of this not being super cut & dry. It’s all about forming a meaningful relationship with a powerful entity & asking for their help & giving them love and gratitude and appreciation, respect, and acknowledgement in return.AnywaysOnce you’re consistent in working with the planet of your choice on a weekly basis. Giving daily or weekly offerings. You can start being more concrete with your requests. Come up with a tangible goal that the planetary deity can help you with & ask for help! Let the deity know what you will give in return. You could donate to a charity related to your planet, or host a big dinner with foods and drinks it likes - get creative here! And Again, this is after you’ve built up the relationship. No one likes the person who randomly DM’s them a pitch. Don’t be that guy.I also recommend research (AKA getting to know) the planet you start working with. Read poetry about Venus or myths about aphrodite. Look at artwork created for them. See if you can find pop culture references. Like you have a crush on someone and you want to know everything about them. And pay attention! we recognize magic through synchronicity … so pay attention to how the deity you’re working with is talking back to you!I know a friend who hears specific songs on the radio or poetry when Venus is communicating with her.Building up this level of observation will not only make your magic stronger, but it will give your life more meaning because every area of your life can be steeped with magic if you’re paying attention to it.So When you’re deciding which planet to work with, take time to meditate and focus on what’s the most important thing in your business right now. Is it nailing down your message? Finding the right audience? Scaling your online programs? Bringing in cash? Then just get started. Add in a calendar event on repeat if you need help with consistency.Okay! That was a lot, but I can’t wait for you to dive in.

June brings us all the naked-eye planets at some points in the month, Venus’s introduction to the morning with the Moon, and mornings with four naked-eye planets visible. Welcome to Observing With Webb, where a high school astronomy teacher tells you what you’re looking at, why it’s so cool, and what you should check out later this month…at night. EVENTS... Full Moon – 5th (Visible all night) Last Quarter Moon – 13th (Visible from midnight into the morning) New Moon – 21st (darkest skies) First Quarter Moon – 28th (Visible until midnight) 7th – 8th – Close Encounter – Moon, Jupiter, Saturn– Get out after midnight these two nights at the find the Moon. On the night of the 7th, the Moon will be to the right of bright Jupiter, and to the left of Jupiter will be slightly less bright Saturn. On the next night, the 8th, the Moon will move to be about 5˚ below Saturn and Jupiter, which are in essentially the same spot in the sky. 12th – 13th – Close Encounter – Moon, Mars – Get out there after 2am these mornings, but well before sunrise (5:34am) and find the Moon with red, ruddy Mars nearby. The Moon will be about 10˚ or one fist-width to the right of Mars on the 12th, and 4˚ below Mars on the 13th. 19th – Very Close Encounter – Moon, Venus – Venus starts its rest-of-the-year showcase as a morning star with a great apparition by rising with the Moon this morning. Make sure you have a nice view of the ENE horizon by 4:20am when they rise less than 1˚ apart from each other. Sunrise is 5:35am, so you’ll probably only have about half an hour to get pictures. 20th – Summer Solstice – This is the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. There’s a bit of explanation as to why here. 21st – (Africa & Asia) Annular Eclipse of the Sun – Not visible in any way in North America, but pay attention to social media for some awesome photography from people with excellent equipment, lots of planning time, and skills with post-processing. They’ll be photographing the Moon passing in front of the Sun, but the Moon is in the further-from-Earth part of its orbit, so it doesn’t totally obscure the Sun’s surface, so you get ring effect. Naked-eye PLANETS... Sunset – Mercury Mercury – For only about two weeks, catch a glimpse of the innermost, fastest-moving, and often toughest to see visible planet of our solar system. Just watch sunset, look WNW, and find the bright light below Pollux and Castor, less than 15˚ above the horizon. Throughout the night – Saturn, Jupiter Saturn, Jupiter – Both planets are rising above the ESE horizon by midnight on the 1st, 10pm on the 30th, and make their way toward the SSW by sunrise. To find Jupiter, just look for the brightest spot no more than 30˚ above the horizon. Saturn will be about 5˚ to the left. These make a great pair for getting your binoculars and telescopes out. You can see the rings of Saturn and moons of Jupiter fairly easily, and not have to do too much to switch from one planet to the other. Morning - Venus, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter Saturn, Jupiter – Still hanging out up there, but more toward the South or SW by sunrise. See above for details. Mars – Trails behind, or to the left of, Saturn and Jupiter by about 50˚ or 5 fist-widths, and is about 30-40˚ above the SE horizon. Look for the non-twinkling red dot. Venus – After about a week and a half, you might be able to see Venus low on the NNE horizon after 5am and before sunrise. As the month goes by, Venus rises earlier and moves away from the Sun. On the 30th, Venus rises at 3:45am, and is about 20˚ above the horizon by sunrise (5:38am). Prepare for Venus to be a morning “star” for the next 6 months! CONSTELLATIONS... Use a sky map from www.skymaps.com to help you out. After Dinner, Before Bed: Big Dipper, Bootes, Virgo, Corona Borealis, Hercules – Gaze almost vertically as you face the NW, and you’ll easily find the Big Dipper: seven very bright stars that form a spoon shape. Now if you take the handle of the Dipper, follow its curve to the next bright star you see, about 30˚ away, which is Arcturus. “Follow the arc to Arcturus.” That’s the brightest star in Bootes, which looks like a kite. Take that same curve, and follow it about another 20˚ to “speed on to Spica”, the brightest star in Virgo, one of my favorite constellations, since it reminds me of the Dickinson Mermaid. Now go back to Bootes, and just to the left of Bootes are seven stars that form the northern crown Corona Borealis, which looks more like a small bowl or a “C” in the sky. Continue a little further to the left and you’ll find the keystone asterism which is part of the constellation Hercules. Extra Challenge! Look for M13, the Hercules Cluster in between two of Hercules’ “keystone” stars. It known as the best globular cluster in the northern skies. It will be a fuzzy spot in binoculars and will be even cooler through a telescope Before Work: Summer Triangle – Lyra, Cygnus, Aquila – Look pretty much straight above you, and find the brightest star up there. You’ll notice a parallelogram attached to it. This is the brightest star Vega, part of the constellation Lyra, the harp. Directly above you will be Cygnus the Swan, with its brightest star Deneb. It will look like a large cross, or if you look out a little further, a swan flying above you. Below Cygnus and Lyra is the third constellation of the Summer Triangle, Aquila the Eagle, with its brightest star Altair. The three bright stars in this one can be easily confused for Orion’s belt, given their similar size, however they are not in line as straight, and are part of a bigger diamond shape. Use a star chart to find small Delphinus and Sagitta in the area as well. Don’t forget this podcast is found on my Podbean page, Stitcher, and iTunes.
