That is because both our mind and emotions are connected — and our mind will naturally follow suit once we adjust the emotions.It is also because our emotions are where we harbor most of the negative feelings and trauma from the past, keeping our mind stuck, that has not yet been resolved — and that we need to slow down a lot in order to better heal and nurture our emotions.Those are both positive realizations. But even though we are beginning to understand that the emotions are the key to adjusting our mindset, we do not actually want to slow down to adjust our emotions. Instead, we would rather stay busy, disregard our emotions, stay in the head, or logically justify our emotions away.But doing that only keeps us stuck even more because we are not doing the one thing we really need to be doing — which is honoring, healing, and adjusting our emotions. As a result, we may feel frustrated and upset.The reason why we do not want to slow down and honor our emotions is for a few reasons. One is because we just feel more comfortable in the mind than in the emotions. Another is that it is more socially acceptable for us to be in the head (because emotions make us weak) and to stay busy (because doing nothing makes us unproductive members of society). And the last, real reason is because the past few years prior to this have been very difficult — cold, dark, and harsh — and that difficult time required us to ignore our emotions, stay busy, and stay in the head as a coping mechanism. It required us to put walls up over our emotions so that we didn't have to feel them during such a hard time and could survive.Well now, the hard times are over. However, the difficult emotions from those hard times, and the walls preventing us from accessing them, still exist. As we wax toward the Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11, we first experience the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction in Gemini June 8 which, as its been waxing has broadcast some interesting news about a major break up. Seems the public spat between President Donald Trump & billionaire Elon Musk made its way onto social media & we've been privy to the exaggerated claims & taunts of both men.The pending breakup of this bromance had long been forecast by astrologers, especially since transiting Uranus once again conjoined “off with his head” fixed star Algol circa May 4. This energy began when Mars & Uranus conjoined close to Algol July 15, 2024, & on July 13 an assassin tried to shoot Trump at his political rally in Butler, PA, on July 13. When we combine this Mercury/Jupiter in Gemini spat with the energies of the waxing first quarter “crisis in action” Mars/Uranus square (which perfects on June 15), we see their influence on this sudden, acrimonious, loudly conducted & widely publicized bromance breakup.This podcast explores how both Trump & Musk have Sun/Uranus aspects in their chart, yet neither of them seem to consciously notice their own erratic tendencies. Plus, how Musk's Cancer Sun/Libra Uranus cardinal square makes him futuristically progress-oriented, while Trump's SU/UR conjunction in Gemini seems to be about destroying conventional norms but then adapting by taking us back in time.Their recent public social media argument (it is Gemini season, after all, & this archetypal energy joined with Jupiter in Gemini likes to loudly exaggerate) has become the breakup fight heard ‘round the world. During their back & forth, Musk called for Trump's impeachment, Trump threatened to withhold billions of dollars of Musk's current government contracts, & Musk retaliated by saying his SpaceX company's Dragon Spacecraft would no longer resupply the international space station or ferry astronauts there & back. Their whole argument began when Musk suddenly objected to Trump's “big beautiful bill's” inclusion of the elimination of electric vehicle tax credits which are valuable to Musk's company, Tesla. The bill now sits in the Senate, which has not yet sent its version back to the House. Meanwhile, Trump would lose out on Musk's financial support for Republicans in future election battles, never mind that Musk funded Trump's presidential campaign to the tune of $230 million in 2024. Before long, however, Musk backed down from his last threat & is seeking “a conversation” with Trump, which makes us wonder how long it will be before both money-obsessed characters (& yes, you can be a billionaire & still be obsessed about money, lol) might kiss & make up. And whether or not breaking up is actually hard to do, lol...Thus far, Trump has refused, so whether Trump's natal wounds around partnership, plus his current transits--such as the fact that Uranus in his 10th is now squaring his Leo Ascendant/Aquarius Descendant, denoting sudden changes in partnership—will last, who knows? We also see he's approaching a Mars return as transiting Mars approaches a conjunction to his natal Mars in Leo on his Ascendant—the latter a recipe for having a chip on his shoulder--& has a few other interesting transits & progressions, so tune in to find out more!Meanwhile, Venus is now in Taurus since June 5/6 as Mercury & Jupiter both enter Moon-ruled Cancer on June 8 & 9, respectively, & we wax toward the June 11 Sagittarius Full Moon which forms a mutable square to the transiting nodal axis. Hard on the heels of the recent transit of Jupiter square to the Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node, there will likely be much legal news as a result, especially out of the Supreme Court now that it's term has ended & we know decisions are forthcoming. A couple of things seem certain, too, the first being that our emotional sensitivity—especially around our financial stability or lack thereof (Venus in Taurus)—will be heightened now. Along with this, however, we may begin to expand our intuitive capabilities (Jupiter in Cancer) to see beyond the boundaries of our local scenario into wider, longer-term implications for the future. (Perhaps Musk's 5'53” Cancer Sun will benefit from the pending conjunction by Jupiter between now & July 5, & reunited with Trump—hey, you never know, if not, they both have a lot to lose…) Meanwhile, by the time we reach this week's Sagittarius Full Moon which occurs at 20'39” of Sagittarius at 12:44 am PT & 3:44 a.m. ET on June 11, we may experience the height of changed perspectives because we now know that we may have been tricked into believing things we were told were in our best interest are actually far from that. As always, this full Moon reflects the light of the Sun back onto itself, revealing its shadow side. This may prove hard to do, however, since Venus forms a fixed square to Pluto & Mercury squares Neptune still at this lunation—both recipes for financial coercion & obfuscation about, or distortion of, facts. This becomes relevant, in the U.S. at least, to continued attempts by the U.S. Congress to come up with an acceptable budget reconciliation bill which it's trying to do by July 4 to avoid having the U.S. fall off a fiscal cliff. All of this as we approach the exact Leo Mars/Taurus Uranus opening square in its synodic cycle, and the same when Jupiter in Cancer forms an exact first quarter cardinal square to Saturn in Aries, all on June 15. We feel they will put us more at ease and help us to create a life in the future that is more authentic, liberating, and exciting.We also want to act on these ideas right away!However, that is hard to do.That is because there are SO MANY new ideas, or the few ideas we do have feel SO BIG, that we are very overwhelmed.Not only that, but we are also having a hard time making sense of these ideas and figuring out which ones we should do first and how we should do them.As a result, we are feeling — yes, overwhelmed — but also a bit confused and stuck.On top of that, we may feel pressured to make a decision or commit to one of these ideas in order to move forward when we are not ready — and some of us may potentially make an unhelpful decision.That can then make us feel frustrated and angry, like our ideas are trapped inside us and can't come out! It can also make us act in weird and unhelpful ways (especially if we make choices we aren't ready for).The reason why we are overwhelmed by our ideas, confused, and not making the best decisions is because we still have some old mindsets stuck in a victim or negative mentality that still haven't fully been resolved. It is also because our current situation still needs a bit more time to solidify.Because of that, I recommend that we hold off on making any big decisions or commitments until later. Instead, I recommend that we wait to gather more information about our situation, learn about it, and adapt to what has recently happened.I also recommend that we spend some time understanding some old, negative mindsets we may have that need to go.I also recommend that we spend some time working with what has already occurred in our lives, and making that more secure.That will help us to feel more calm and make better assessments about our situation at a later time.Waiting to gather more information, even though frustrating right now, and NOT making any big commitments is a long-term theme we will be discussing for most of this year (with Jupiter now in Gemini). June 12- 18 2023 The moon will be new in curious Gemini June 17. Start fresh with little adventures. Pluto moved back to Capricorn to review the last couple years. This may not be easy (understatement). Saturn also moves retrograde the day of the New Moon. We can see back in time to connect the dots. Our happy future selves depend on our good choices now. “ “Discipline proceeds dominion”. Can't stop talking Mercury is squaring off with Shut the f up Saturn. You might find yourself triggered into saying everything you always wanted to say but knew you shouldn't. Saturn in Pisces is willing to do the work to create connection Mercury in Taurus on the other hand is too stubborn see the rightness in that. Stubborn to the point of stupidity. Needless to say, it could be a triggering day for all. So keep aware. Watch what comes up from the detached observer persepctive. Blowing your top is never cool, but the truth is. A fine line to walk. Action will be taken. Just hold steady in your heart before you leap, or speak. The New Moon Gemini on the 17th is in a nice position. Maybe it's time to team up with someone. Connections of all kinds can be made. There is nice energy here to harmonize and support your curiosity. Be sure to communicate what needs communicating. Words are magical tools. Use them wisely. Write down your wishes. Magnetize your goals. An hour before the New moon big Daddy Saturn is going retrograde. This is a good time to plan how fabulously creative you are going to be while Saturn moves through pisces the next couple years. Structure can assist our creative selves to expand and produce lucrative outcomes. On Sunday Neptune is squaring the Sun. Confusion and overwhelm could be an issue. Or you could finally make the big push to make the magic happen and get focused on bringing to life what you have kept hidden in your dreams. As always, come from the heart. The Full Moon in Sagittarius requires emotional self-honesty so as to avoid any literal death and re-birth events in our lives. Mars in Leo opposition to Pluto in early Aquarius square the nodes is within orb of influence for the majority of 2023. Venus also joins Mars in Leo adding a uniquely personal emphasis to the opposition. Venus in Leo for four months June 5th through October 8th heightens the awareness. The Sun in Gemini mantra: "I gather information with intuitive searching." There is opportunity to become clear on our innermost needs and desires. Mercury is racing ahead now in Taurus conjunct Uranus May 20th and then enters Gemini June 11-26th. Lots of ability and support for problem solving and elevated consciousness for spiritual growth. Finally, Pluto and Saturn go stationary retrograde within one week in mid-June. Keep grounded and keep it real on this accelerating journey to the core of our Souls.
