Today we're digging into some very practical ways to support your body and it's capacity for you to hold more success while growing your business and impact." In folk herbalism and western herbalism there's a lot of practice around, before we're going to try to correct anything, we flood the body with nourishment and resourcing. Because why would we try to repair something if we're deficient? Which I think is a really good thing to think about in life and business and anything. Like, if you're going to fix a problem, first flood the environment with resourcing then go start making corrections." - Julia AlbainJulia Albain is an Energy Worker and lover of humans. Okay, so let's just jump into what the big news is, which is that the Regenerative Business book is now available as an audiobook. So, this has been months and months and months in the making, less so in the sense that I've been working on it for months and more so in the sense that I really thought that I was going to create the entire audiobook back in August, 2023.It was my big August, 2023 goal. And then just, I mean, first of all, the Maui fires happened and that took a turn on a lot of things, and then I got mono, and then there was travel, and then there's like a bunch of excuses. This month, January 2024, a big goal of mine was to get this audiobook done and it is finally here. I'm so excited to share it with you. You can purchase it now at shop.thedirtyalchemy.com. I'll also put in the show notes and tune in now for the introduction. TRANSCRIPT: Hi, everyone. Welcome back to the Regenerative Business Podcast with Sam Garcia, which is who I am. And I have a special guest today. I have been saying this for weeks, but I'm so excited to have Robin Langford here from Wicked Veracity. She is a traditional astrologer. She is a stoic. She is a witchy human.I don't even know if, like, do you identify as a witch? Oh, she's a witch. aNd she's been on for the last few years giving our annual forecasts. For those who are into astrology but don't know traditional astrology, it is far more accurate and impressive when it comes to actual I guess predicting the future. Can we just, yeah, predicting the future. So if you've worked with people who are more modern astrology or, or archetypal astrology or all the other types of astrology, and you've been like, this is bullshit. It's because it wasn't traditional astrology. So strap yourselves inand hi Robin. Hello. Yes. I am a traditional astrologer and it is predictive.I do believe fate's a thing. And. I do think that the other forms of astrology are exceptionally good at personality things and helping people get to know it, know themselves but they don't, they fall apart a little bit when it comes to predictive astrology in my experience. Yeah, so let's just jump in.We were talking a little bit before and I was like, I don't, I don't want to say things. And Sam's like, no, say the thing. So we're just going to start off. I'm going to say this. Go ahead.Oh, I was just gonna say, I'm, I, Robin didn't want to say things, but I was like, no, the people listening to this podcast are like more prepper type, they're, they know that the world is going to shit and they've been sensing it, like, whether you psychically sense it or you're looking around and you're like, crossing your fingers that the American government falls apart, like, this might be our year, you guys. Not this year, but this is the last, what I would say, But it's also a pretty semi stable year for a while. Because 2027 have a variety of things that are going to be happening that are a little unsettling and that indicate a lot of massive change. And one of the examples that I'm going to give, and there's a bunch, but I'm only going to do the one, is that in 2025, it Uranus moves into Gemini and Uranus has been in Gemini in American history three times, and those three times were the American Revolution, the Civil War and World War Two and that sounds scary, which is why I'm like, I'm not really ready to have a conversation about it, but the thing to remember is, whether you like the American government or not, all three of those movements moved social justice and liberation forward unequivocally and in massive ways and while they were war is horrible, et cetera, et cetera.People dying sucks, right? It's generally necessary in the course of human events to have a war if you want things to change. So, none of those were objectively bad for everybody, period. Right? Like, there were a lot of people who made a lot of money. There were a lot of people who got more freedom. I would argue that's pretty fantastic.Yeah. And so a lot of good things come out of war, whether people want to admit it or not, and I'm not saying that this will be a war because each thing has looked different slightly. Right. But it's like, there could be some. A greater degree of instability, not this year as much. But coming up, and so the way that I'm looking at this year is like a very.almost preppery kind of year, which is what we were talking about. And a lot of my magical creatures, which is what I identify. I mean, I, my clientele tend to be entrepreneurs that are either neurodivergent or magical and sometimes both. And a lot of my magical creatures have already kind of been like, I want to solidify this.I want. I want more security here. I want less reliance there. And I think that's a lot of what you tapped into with your book. Is that feeling that the magical creatures have been, it's been building. And the reason it's been building is because the astrology is moving in that direction. Right. And.Yeah.The other thing we wanted to preface was if you hear things about this year or future years, it doesn't necessarily mean that that is going to be your personal life experience, because our, this is the astrology of the collective, not necessarily the astrology that you personally will be experiencing. If you want to know how exact things hit your chart, your personal chart, work with an astrologer because they will be able to tell you,oh,oh, oh, maybe not work with an astrologer. Work with a traditional astrologer, not just any astrologer. It doesn't have to be me, but like, you want to make sure that they're a Hellenistic astrologer or they say they're a traditional astrologer because. You just do. And if you want to work with me, that's great. But if you don't, like, that's who I would go to. And youcan't hire Robin for individual readings. She's fantastic. And I've only heard insanely positive things about having a reading with her. So her or another traditional astrologer would definitely serve you.For like a once a year check in withhow this year will look like for you. Absolutely. Cause there's so many different things that impact whether or not a transit, which is like what the planets are doing at any given moment are going to have an impact on you. And just some of them is like, where are the eclipses in your chart? Is your chart specifically being triggered by any of the events? What is your annual perfection? There are so many things. And if it's none of those are being affected in your chart, you might not even notice it. You might be like, I don't know. I was on a cruise. It was fine. You know, it could be nothing for you.All right. So those are all my caveats, right? That's all of them. We can yeah. So I'm going to say that January is a really big new beginning in a way that most calendar year, new years are not. And that's because Mercury station direct on new year's day, Jupiter station direct a couple of days before there's only one planet in the sky that is retrograde right now, and that is Uranus. And he's like. He's fine that he's retrograde, right? This January, February, specifically January though, is when, if you were gonna hustle, that's, that's when I'd be hustling and I'd be planting all your seeds and kind of getting a really good idea of what would serve you well, and what your ideal is, and working towards that as hard as you can, so that even if there's a storm later on, that you have, you know, you have your, you have your hurricane supplies, you have your You know what I'm saying?Like you have the foundation set as an entrepreneur for what you want. You're not, this isn't maybe the best year to do wild and I don't know. Is there ever a good year to do wild and crazy things? I mean, you're going to do what you're going to do, right. But it's a great year to really figure out like what would serve me fantastically. And to be putting that into place and trying to get the habit down. And that's pretty much from January 1st to March 15th. I don't really have a lot of bad things to say about that period. It's pretty functional. I am going to just, if you're not on my, if you're not on my email list, you should absolutely be on my email list because I break it down every week.Right. And there's some pretty significant things that are happening in January. I'm going to go over them very briefly here, January 20th, we have the last. Pluto conjunction with a planet that's in Capricorn and it happens at 59 minutes 50 or like 29 degrees 59 minutes was like as far as the very last inch of Capricorn and Pluto has been in Capricorn transforming that area of life for everybody since 2008.And that was like a lot of the banking crisis stuff that we had and the housing bubbles and like all of that the Bitcoin the new way that we worked with money like that kind of thing was pluto and in capricorn what it looks like pluto and aquarius is going to be which he we had a little preview from like March to June of last year it looks like it's going to have a lot to do with AI and, and how AI is probably going to explode over the next 19 years. That's the best guess that we have right now. And just typically like if I look at the 200 year rotations, which I've done there's a lot of tech advancements for whatever that meant in whatever period going all tech and cultural advancements going all the way back to like 50. So I can go, that. That seems to be true. And so. That's not a bad thing. It's not a scary thing. And if, and if March to June of last year, doesn't ring any bells. It's possible Aquarius isn't super active in your chart. But if March not, not March 8th, April March to June. But if you're like, what is Pluto in Aquarius? What transformation is that going to be for me?These are the dates I want you to remember. February 5th, February 14th. February 17th, and February 22nd, and the reasons for that is because the first three of those, we have Mercury, then Mars, then Venus conjunct Pluto at that zero degrees. Okay. And if, if that was significant for you, I promise you, you're going to notice. And the last one, which was February 22nd is there's a Mars Venus conjunction in Aquarius at like six degrees. And so that area of life is going to be super, super obviously highlighted. The other thing I'm going to say is, as far as Aquarius previews go, I actually have a few other dates, March 30th.I'm sorry, March 31st of 2020. There was a Mars Saturn conjunction at the zero degree of Aquarius point, and it was probably a disagreement or warlike stance in this area of life or someplace that you encounter strong resistance or a need to change. December 21st of 2020. I know Sam's going to remember this one.It was a great conjunction. That we did a lot of work on. That was the Saturn and Jupiter conjunction. And that was at the zero degree point. And then there was a Mars Venus conjunction on March 6th of 2022. anD so if any of those dates, feel free to go back and write them all down. If any of those dates are like, Oh crap, something big happened then.Yeah. Welcome to your Aquarius era. Cause yeah, I promise you it's going to be a ride. WhatI was just realizing is like, that is exactly when I had the, cause I'd been writing. The regenerative business book, I'd been writing it for very inconsistently for, I don't know, seven months or something. And then in March of 2023, I was just like, I need this book out.I need it out now. And then like spent all of my free time writing to get it out by. May 26.SoI'm like, okay, February. What is coming with? Yeah. And I mean, that's your house or something. Yeah. Yeah. So it's, it's relevant or North node. It's something like that. It's your 10th house. I mean, there might be other stuff there too. I'd have to look. But yeah, I know it's going to be relevant for you in that particular way. And. You have like 19 years of transformative growth that's coming and there's gonna be a lot of things that trigger it, but it's just that very narrow window of period period of time in February that it's going to get hit over and over so often that I promise you, if you have anything there, you're not even going to need to ask anybody. You're gonna be like, well, that's obvious by the end of February. Right? And I'll tell you, like, that's if you have anything in Aquaria, if you have anything around 0 degrees of Aquarius. Leo Scorpio, and Taurus. Is that right? I feel like that's right. Big signs? Hmm, ah, I don't know. I'm, I'm not looking at anything in my, but, yeah, for sure though, Aquarius and Leo, around zero to two degrees, I'd say you, you're probably gonna notice. So that's the first part. And then, then we get, so that's January. Like, March is just kind of like, And February is only really interesting to me because you're going to get such a good preview of all the Aquarius stuff which is, I think, useful, since it's the beginning of a 18, 19 year thing, and if you look at your Capricorn house and think about how it's changed from 2008 until now, you'll get a, you'll get a taste of how big and how I'm going to talk about how long Pluto transits are and like how much they can change things. Mine was in my fourth house. I had two kids, got divorced, built my own house, built my own business in my house, right? That's all fourth house topics. So it's Capricorn house stuff is, is what's happening. That's what you're saying? It's what's wrapping up and we're moving into the Aquarius. Okay. So like I feel like this is another caveat of like this is slightly more advanced astrology topics that we're just kind of like running through very casually. I'm just realizing that I'm like some people don't even know what a house is. That's true. That's true. But it'll just pay attention to what's new. Like what's new and exciting in February is going to be an indicator. It's going to be a trend for a longer period. How about that? Yeah, whatever seems to be very focused. Also, I think people are just going to get a lot of New insights in January and February, which is another reason that I say it's, it's not easy. It's very productive, but it is it does have, like, my green light for it, like, until March 15th. So I'm going to switch to March 17th to April 28th, which is what I call the chaos zone. And I don't have really anything nice to say about it. It's a lot of confusion and aggression. We have 2 eclipses and a mercury retrograde during that period. And a lot of very challenging aspects pretty much the whole time. So for the business people out there, if I'm launching, it's not between March 17th and April 28th. I'm a hundred percent not doing that. And your vacations. I, or maybe not. If you want to like your family, I mean, I've done vacate. Like when I went to Alaska, it was during an eclipse. It was during an eclipse window. Right. And you can do that, but it, I mean, ultimately it depends on like where it's going to show up in your life. I'm not saying that it's a bad time, but there's going to be a lot of chaos. Right. And so one of the things that I tell the people that I work with a lot is. There's no, there's no period. There's no point in time where you just need to stop living your life. Yeah. Right. There are points in time that you're probably going to need more help managing your mind, or that you're going to need to be more resilient and more adaptable. And so March 17 to April 28, that's what that is right there's more external chaos, and there may be more internal chaos depending on where it is in your chart. And you're probably going to have the opportunity to be more resilient, and I don't think that's a bad thing. Is there any chance that, like, for people who hear chaos and are like, good things actually come out of chaos for me, like, maybe that is a time to, to leverage? I'm not saying that unless I look at their chart. Okay. I'm gonna say, like, There is no traditional astrologer that is ever going to say the period between March 25th and April 8th is a good time to do something. You aren't going to find a single person that's, I, I would put money down on that if they're a traditional astrologer, they would not say that because that's between two eclipses and there's a Mercury retrograde in the house of the eclipses. No, no, no. Now there are people who like chaos magic. Go with God. I'm not recommending it. Okay, but that doesn't mean like, don't do your business, right? Like, I'm still going to be running my business. I'm still going to be seeing clients. I'm still going to be living my life. I'm not going into a hole, but I'm 100 percent planning just like, like a hurricane plan, right? Like, just I live in hurricane alley. For those of you who don't know we plan for a category 5 hurricane to hit and then we hope it doesn't right. And if I'm looking at the year, that period is hurricane season. I, I'm, it doesn't look Maybe batch content ahead of time. Well, see, but like, I don't even consider writing content difficult. So for me, like, I'm not anticipating me not being able to write, because I know where it's going to hit in my chart. I know where the drama is likely to be. And this is where like working with an astrologer and just knowing the areas of life that are likely to be more challenging is useful because it's not in my work sectors, it's in my relationship sectors. I don't have a relationship. I'm not super worried. Right. I'm like, what can't you? Oh my gosh. I can't wait to hear the behind the scenes now that you've said that publicly. But that's not going to affect my work, right? Like, that's not a work thing. That's, that's some other form of chaos. So how do people figure out what sector it's in? It's what the house that what's what's in Aries, Aries and Libra. Okay. I have nothing in those houses. Yeah. Like I'm not like, do we want to let's cheat and like, we'll just give a little preview of what can happen if I have your chart. Most people really like it when I talk about other people's charts on podcasts. Because they are like, Oh, I didn't know you could do that. So I'm just going to pull your chart up. I have no, no planets in Aries or Libra. Okay. But since I don't remember that, I'm not going to, yeah, I don't think, but I think you're going to probably do a lot of publicity stuff. That's my guess. Okay. And have chaos. I have chaotic publicity. Okay, but I want you to think about that, right? Like, think about chaotic social media publicity. That could be something going viral. Yeah. Because chaos isn't inherently bad, but you can't plan for it. That's why when you were like, would you try to manifest something? No. But I would expect things to go probably viral or for you to unexpectedly get opportunities from benefactors. So like somebody So this is, this is, these are conversations we've had offline plenty of like I feel as though personally and I don't know about other people but I feel like when bad things happen collectively, like. I actually like personally do really well. Like I, I, I handle it well, like, like weird miracles and opportunities pop into my life. So like when I hear chaos, I'm like, okay, things could actually be good for me. Yes. Yeah, they could, but not planned things, right? And, and that's the difference. It's just like, that's why I say adaptable and resilient because yes, lots of opportunities. And, and eclipses aren't inherently bad. There's sudden new beginnings and sudden endings, right? And that's not bad. It's just not when I'm trying to plan something that I want to go according to plan. You don't play. Yeah. Just have your hurricane plan. Yeah. But even that is like, which way I evacuate is based off of which way the storm is projected to go. Yeah. Yeah. Right. I still have to be adaptable. So, so what about May? May through June is freaking delightful. I love it. Yeah. May is great. There are a bunch of really really lovely things that happen. I have it as a green period, May 1 to June 7th. Especially if you have a lot of Gemini or Taurus placements. And for the people in the back, what does a green period mean? Good things. I don't really have anything bad to say. So like a green light, you're saying like green light, green, yellow, red. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, I'm basically green yellowing and red. This is my other green period, so January 1st of March 15th and May 1st of June 7th are my green lights. I like them a lot. If you happen to have significant TAUs or Gemini placements. Lord, it's about to be good. You have Gemini. Amazing girl, what? Yours is about to be good. You just know how much I hate Taurus. I don't hate Tauruses, I just like Taurus season is like the bane of my existence. Yeah but there's just a lot of really lovely things happening in Taurus and Gemini, and even if you don't have anything in that area, it's still a nice period for most people. Again, when I say that there are good periods, it very much depends, like, what's happening in your chart, blah, blah, blah. I have June 8th through July 31st as just sort of a yellow light. It looks like working hard more than anything else. Like, it looks like there's things that people are figuring out. And, but not, not hurricane season. I don't dislike it. August 20, August 4th to August 28th, so Mercury Retrograde. Mercury Retrogrades, for those of you who have not been working with me forever, is just a period that's better for reviewing. So like, review your copy, review your funnels, review your website. You know, it's not necessarily the best time to start something new. Back up your systems. You know, just like, very functional. Yeah. Let's scoot back to, you said June 8th through July 31st is this yellow period. And you're saying that it's like a working hard period. Do you mean by that, like, things don't, like, they're just taking more work or it's just a good, it's a good, like, what is the, face the grindstone? Yeah, nose to the grindstone. Yeah, I think it could be, it could go either way. It kind of depends on the person. I think it'll either be like, it'll either show up as people wanting to do work that's a little bit harder, like feeling like, oh, I can tackle this thing. Or Like something happens and they just have to figure it out. It could go either way. But it's it's like a productive forward kind of movement as opposed to netflix and chill I haven't heard any Netflix and chill periods so far this year. You're not going to hear any either. I don't have any coming up. Not a rest year. Excellent. Yeah. I mean, yeah, I don't know. There's a lot of opportunities for forward momentum, I would say. And then there's some really good opportunities, you know, like how you when you, oh, that's a really, nobody, but you and I are going to get this, but scrum, right? Like where you're doing sprints, there's a lot of sprint periods. For, for those listening, Scrum, I feel like it's less popular now, but there, it had like a moment in the online business world where everyone was doing Scrum sprints. I feel like there's another, another name for it, but it's this type of, this type of project planning and project working that was based off of, usually like app software developers and how they created apps. So like you would work for two, two weeks hard on this one very specific project essentially to try and get the next like 2. 0 version of the app and the 2. 1 version of the app and the 2. 2 and like you'd keep on doing these and then it kind of caught on for for a hot second. I don't know, maybe a decade ago in the online business world where people would work in sprints and do like have this two week. This is the only focus for two weeks. So you're, you're saying that's for the year or specifically this June, July period. I would say like often, like I, I kind of see this whole year as there's like little chunks that people are working on one thing and they go work on the next thing. And it's like, it seems very, very distinct to me, like, Oh, you're working on X project January and February, and then March and April, there's something else you're working on. And then may and June and then June and July. And then August is it's like own little beast. And that's that's very Mercury, like, almost all of August is Mercury retrograde. And so that, to me, feels like August is very much a reviewing what you've done kind of period, even more so than some of the others, because immediately in September, we go into eclipses again. And so September 6, September 16th to October 16th, I have as a red zone, for a couple of reasons, and now we're getting to the part of the part of the story. So September 17th is the first eclipse in Pisces. That's a new cycle. That's where the eclipses will be in 2025. October 2nd, we have our final eclipse. I think it's the last one in Libra. It's for sure the last one this year. And that'll be wrapping up the Libra Aries eclipse stories. And on October 4th, Mars It's his retrograde shadow. Mars is gonna. Here's the thing. Mars is gonna be in either Cancer or Leo for like eight months. So I mean those two signs and So it he first goes into cancer I didn't write it down. So I'm just gonna look real quick first goes into cancer on September 4th, and then he goes into Leo November 3rd And then he goes back into Cancer and then back into Leo and he doesn't leave until June 17th of 2025. What are, what's the, what are the flavors of Mars and Cancer and Mars and Leo? Mars and Cancer is like a warrior in full plate metal splashing around in the ocean trying to attack somebody. And that's how, and we're the warriors and that's how we feel. Yep. Great. Huh. Yeah, it's not a fun time. It's not where we want Mars to be. So we're fighting for our lives, but it's, it's, it's almost, I, what, the picture that comes in my head is, like, I had in my dream, not so much lately actually, but I used to have this reoccurring feeling in dreams where you're running and you can't move, like you're like, you're moving at super slow speed, almost like you're, you're trying to run through really dense water. That's Mars and cancer, and he's going to be there for like, Six months total. That's ridiculous. anD it's not a bad, like, if, if you're hearing this, you're like, well, I have Marsian cancer and I blah, blah, blah. Great. You're gonna love it. You're gonna feel so comfortable. Maybe not love it, but like, you're gonna feel, this is gonna be familiar. Yes. And for people who don't know, don't know Mars. Mars is action. Like, it's how you take action. It's like your, your masculine drive often, like this. Like the, the Yang part of the, yes. It was, and people, there are political correctness things that I'm going to blow out of the water right now, but Mars is masculine energy feminine and feminine energy is Venus. And it's a polarity and every human has both. You have both in your chart, you have both in your makeup, right? Like it's, it's not that I'm saying this is female and this is male, it's literally just the masculine principle and the feminine principle. And Mars does not like to be in cancer. He's not a fan. Passive aggressive sometimes. Not because they're trying to be manipulative, but because being aggressive feels so uncomfortable that the only way sometimes that Mars in cancer will make a move forward is, is in think about, okay, you know, crabs actually move side to side, but they still move forward. That's very much Mars in cancer. Like it has trouble going directly forward because. I love that. Yeah. And then why isn't Leo? Yeah, I was about to ask. Tell me. But you know the, the, the dude that was in Gladiator? Yeah, there you go. Russell Crowe? Is it Russell Crowe? Is that the guy? I don't know. I don't actually. But yeah, that movie, like, where he's like all buff and like his whole life is killing things and it's like very, very like, warry. So does that feel good? Like, because I know when righteousness feels good, like it might not like feel good to like be against it, but I'm like, it kind of sounds righteous to me like, but when you're feeling of righteousness, it feels good. So, so full disclosure, my Mars is in Leo, and you've seen me get angry. That's what Mars in Leo is like. And I do get very righteous when I'm angry. Like, if I'm angry, if I really am angry, I used, I, when I was a kid, I was a Christian and I wanted to be Michael's apprentice. Not, no joke. Michael is the right hand of God. He's the sword of God. He's the justice of God. I was like, I want that job. How do I get that job? And they're like, no, Robin, that's an angel thing. Well, but y'all said when I die, I could be an angel. Well, but not literally. And I'm like, well, then why did say it? I thought that was a possibility. So is this a scenario where We're going to get angry at things, and it's going to be productive. So let's look at the timeline, shall we? So the elections are in November. Okay, so Mars is I'm just gonna I'm like, I want to make sure I'm looking at the right time lines. I feel like everyone's already upset about they're gonna get more upset. It's gonna it's not gonna get better. So Mars goes into cancer September 4th and November 3rd, right around election day. Mars goes into Leo. Wow. So, November 4th is usually Election Day, yeah? So it's like literally before. Oh my gosh. So, thinking about that righteous anger, right? That's what's going on. You think like actual violence will happen? Because you were like referencing Gladiator. I'm not comfortable making that kind of prediction without looking at other factors. I will say that November 3rd is when Mars goes into Leo. And he Stations retrograde December 6th, which is generally when, around the time the elections are actually finalized and called and everything, right? And then he goes into, he goes into cancer again January 6th. So there's going to be like some weird, like, recalling the ballot thing, and Yeah, I mean, that's what I will say, is I think there's going to be election shenanigans. And I think they're already I already like, I feel like they're already happening. I'm just saying, like, I, I don't see how we get away from it. It looks very contentious or right around the election period with the way that Mars is stationing and a few other things are happening. Pluto goes back into Aquarius, November 19. And main stuff happening in post eclipses. The main stuff happening on October, November is this Mars stuff, or is there also other things happening? It's mostly Mars. We also had so Mars. So Pluto goes back into Aquarius for the final time on November 19th, and then it's full steam ahead and Aquarius. Because he spends like 2 months. So he comes back out like. end of August, beginning of September, he goes into Capricorn. The other thing in the end of the year, October 16th to the end of the year, I have a yellow. I don't even have it as red, right? Like the, but we do have a Mercury retrograde from November 25th to December 15th. And that Mercury retrograde shadow happens right around election time. And Mars retrograde is in Leo. It starts in Leo on December 6th and ends in Cancer on February 25th. Yeah, I mean, the fact that we haven't, the other thing that I didn't mention about the eclipses in March and April is that they go across the United States. One side of the other full solar eclipse. Last time that happened, Trump was elected. tHere's a lot and I don't even care what people's politics are about Trump, whether you love him or you hate him, or you think he's a devil, or you think he's a savior. Like, I don't really care. Nobody can deny that it created massive upheaval in the United States with him being elected. There's like families torn apart, you know, blah, blah. And that happened after the other great American eclipse. Right. And so even if it's not him, it doesn't look between that and Mars, the elections don't look. Oh, easy. No. And does that have anything to do with your business? No idea. Don't know what your business is. Might be great for business if you're a button maker and you're making buttons that say go vote for this guy and go vote for that guy, it'd be great for your business, right? Like if you're a political commentary person and you, and you make a lot of money doing that, like I can think of some Instagram influencers that I follow who are full on. It's mostly politics, right? Like I fully expect, I feel like even just, Okay, yes, with buttons and all those things, but often for online businesses, a key part of having a really solid following of people who will fight for you and your business, like, is having very controversial stances, like, or not necessarily controversial, but like Very like I I'm putting my flag in the ground on this thing, whatever that thing may be. And it sounds like Mars and Leo can help with that. So you could actually use this time period to and use the emotion of anger. Anger fueled posts can actually be the most viral posts. You have the most shared posts. You have the most, the most the posts that actually solidify people's love for you because it's, go ahead. Let's dial that back a tiny bit. I don't want to say anger. I want to say passion. Yeah. I actually think anger is a very useful emotion to feel posts by, not like all of them. Of course not. But, but there is anger and passion. This Mars is this action oriented thing. People will take action when they tap into their anger. There's no question about it. So it can, I want to just lean into the potential that this could be actually an amazing time period for you to actually make a name for yourself, to have people fall in love with you, to have your business do extremely well. Sure. Sure. I'm calling this in for all of us. Yes. I mean, I would rather people not. I mean, I know that anger is useful and sometimes that's the only way that people can make a change. It's also because it's such a volatile period. Typically, when people are angry, that becomes an us versus them mentality that is. dehumanizing occasionally. And I've seen it a lot. No, you have to do it gracefully. No, but Simone Soul, a client of mine, a client of yours, she, like one of her like top 10 tips in having a, a successful business is to tap into your anger, anger and talk about things that you're angry about because you'll actually put passion behind it. It doesn't have to be this, like we're tearing down the world. Of course, I'm all for that too, but But you actually having a stance on something is extremely useful in online business. So this is where y'all can tell if you know astrology that I have a lot of placements in Libra and Sam doesn't have any. Because I am very much. I also have Mars essentially conjunct my rising sign. Yes, she does. Yeah. So, and I, my anger is very I, I'm more like, you know, I am, I mean, I'm, I'm all about total warfare. It's just that video game. I feel like it is, is what total warfare. Oh, it is. It is a name of, it's also a war strategy, which you, we might disagree on if you were to look it up. Where was I going with this? I was going with the, I think that there's so much. contention and volatility and hate that is a possibility that if you're that I am not going to get behind, I'm just not, I am not going to say lean into your anger. I'm going to say lean into your passion and what you're passionate about while also remaining aware of the fact that even if these people have directly opposing views, they're still humans. Because there's the potential for people to forget that. Yeah. And maybe not your people, or maybe you hope it's not your people, but. I'm, I'm a historian first and foremost. For those of you who don't know, that's what my undergraduate degree is in. That's what I taught for a really long time. That's what I freaking love. The divisive nature of some of these transits makes me just want to remind people that those people that you disagree with, those people who are doing horrible things in your opinion, or even if you want to put it as an objective fact, right? There's still stuff going on in their brain that got them there. And they're still humans. And. There's still a place for compassion and I used to use World War II as my favorite example because it was one of the periods that I focused on. Individual Germans didn't hate the people that got put in the concentration camps, right? They got riled up because of the political situation and because they thought that somebody else would stop it. And some of them got riled up because they just wanted to feel powerful. And there are all these, all these different reasons, right? But like Germans as a whole weren't. Horrible people, right? And I don't know, I just, I guess that doesn't mean don't fight back. It does mean that not paint with huge broad strokes. And it's going to be real easy to do that when Mars is pissed off in retrograde. It's going to be real easy for people to just be like, no, you like, like, let's say you like Trump. You're the devil. There we go. Or you're a Democrat and a woman. Clearly you shouldn't have any rights. You're too stupid to think for yourself. I should be able to do all that. And for, and we've seen some of that happening already. It's not like we haven't. And I want you to think back to the Venus and Leo retrograde and how some of the women's issues got pulled up and how many rights we've lost. very quickly. I don't know. I just think that there's a lot of volatility. Yeah, but sometimes, I mean, in going back to the original, or the beginning of this conversation, where Social justice and moving it forward. Yeah, and sometimes war and violence and things are necessary in order to fix some long standing, horrible things that happened during quote unquote peace. And have been happening for decades, if not hundreds of years.Ahundred percent. Here's the thing. I just figured out how I want to say it. There are children on both sides. The children aren't the enemies. And so, extremism is what I'm afraid is going to happen. It's like, you know where people get very extremist and they And they do things that even if they were on the right side of history, it was the wrong thing to do.You know what I mean? Like, I would, I would say that people would, I think most people would be like, Hey, America going up against the Nazis and ending Nazi occupation was a good thing. And Americans, like, bombing children in Hiroshima, maybe not a great thing. Maybe there was a better way. Right? But we didn't, we weren't trying. We were just trying to brute force and end it. And I guess that's the thing I'm saying. It's like, There's still no, Iknow. I'm just it's an interesting week to talk about this because they're literally the I've been like anti federal government for a long time, but like I was pretty confident about the local government being okay up until like these last couple months where they're trying to put a toxic waste dump.Next to our farm and move the toxic waste from an already toxic area to a new place right above a mother coral reef and do it in the stupid possible way with the 99 percent of the community vocally against it and they're still moving forward with it. So like we're about to do like straight up civil disobedience against it.So like, I'm like, oh, I'm kind of in this, this Morris stuff right now. And I'm like, very, like, I don't think it might be quote unquote extreme, but there's. Some bullshit happening. Anyways, we have only a few more minutes. Yeah. Did we get through everything? Because I can do a quick recap. We got through everything.Okay, so we saw January, February is a green period. It's a great time for hustling and planting seeds all the way through March 15th. And if you have any Aquarius placements, you're going to feel it. It sounds like a pot in a positive way, right? Yeah, maybe. I think it'll be interesting. I'm not, I mean, I don't think anyway.Yeah, it'll be interesting. You said March is pretty meh. But, but March 25th through no, March 17th through April 28th is like this, maybe the worst time of the year of chaos, confusion, aggression, and. So hold, hold tight for six weeks, sixweeks is a long time. So like, I mean, I, this is like, if you go to some of the traditional astrologers, there's some parts of the end of the year that not everybody's going to agree with me on.It's for me, I think it's the most most opportunities to learn resilience and adaptability. And so I'm not saying it's not a good time to, I think you're just gonna have to figure things out. I think it's going to be a lot more of a. It's also a really, the other thing I'll say about it is there's a lot of trying to move forward, not being able to, and there's a lot of having to review and a lot of weird fact checky things. It's like, there's just a lot of confusion around that period. Because there's some Neptune conjunctions and I mean, there's a bunch of Neptune conjunctions, which. It's just confusion. And thenMay and June, you said are delightful. Greet period, do all the things, feel amazing. If you're Gemini and Taurus, it's going to be extra good for you guys. And then June 8th through June 31st is a yellow. Not necessarily bad, but it's going to, like, it's, it's a, it's a working hard period. It'll be productive forward momentum, but it'll definitely, like, feel like work. Like that, but you remember, like, whenever you were writing your book, like, you were just nose down, right?Like, you were like, I'm just doing this, but you didn't, you didn't feel bad. Yeah,no, I, I like that feeling personally. August 4th through 28th, this is Mercury Retrograde. It's just a review, reflection time, nothing else really happening. And then September 16th through October 6th. Oh, oh,oh, what? So, okay, so July 8th to July 34th, 31st, I have is like very working focused.I would say August is challenging. Okay. I wouldn't, I mean, it's more challenging than the months before. Yeah. And it's like leading up to the September, October eclipse zone right like August is when it starts getting challenging September, October, we just have a bunch of stuff that sort of adds on. So that's like the red period when we really are like, yeah, I don't think it's as bad as the first eclipse like the eclipses, the eclipses at the beginning of the year I think are harder. But it's also important to just remember that this is going to start being like where the election stuff kicks up real high. Yeah, it, there's going to be a lot of sudden information that gets changed and more aggressive stances that are going to be taken. And then we also have a mercury retrograde and mercury shadow period like. And so it's just more, it's less the first half of the year is more effective. I would say it's going to be easier to be effective in the first part of the year. And then, and then you said that November, December, it's. Well, after October 16th through the end of the year, it's a yellow period. So like, not, not sweet, sweet green, but it is not red.And it'll, it sounds like a very collective time with that Mars stuff and the election stuff. So stuff is going to be like flying around. Yeah, I think it's going to be a little chaotic. I think it's going to, yeah, between the eclipses and the Mercury retrogrades and everything else. I do think that there's going to be some. And then, overall, this is our last stable year for a while. Not to say it's going to be an easy year, but 2025, 26, 27 is going to be more instability. So this is a great year to really, oops, I just broke a pen, to really ground into or lean into creating stability and using this year to create stability for and prepare and create resilience, build resilience for the future years.Absolutely. And I mean, I don't think that's a bad thing. I think that's a lot of what the hard work looks like is like, what are you, what is it that you want to stand for? Right. And that's part of what you were saying. And I'm, I'm not disagreeing that people need to take a stand. It's just, my gosh, there's so much, there's so much anger and there, which I'm not saying the anger is bad either.God knows, like, I have a temper. It's just. Figure out what your, figure out where your lines in the sand are. Figure, you know how people say, I'm not going to die on that hill. Like, you know, you can plant your flag. I think this is the year people are going to figure out where their flags are going to get planted.Mm, yeah. Yeah, you have to, you have to hold, hold back. You can't, you can't fight for every cause. All the causes are valid, not all of them, but plenty of causes are valid, but, but there's so many of them, right? Like there's so many injustices in the world. There really are. Yeah. And you can't effectively fight for all of them.Yeah. Right. And so what are you going to fight for? Yeah. And where does your family come in on that? Right? Like, how is that like you specifically, one of the reasons that this is your cause is because it's literally on your back doorstep. Yeah. Right. Right. And there's no way that any of us who don't live there can really and truly understand the impact and the fear that comes along with a toxic waste dump being put right next to our home.Yeah, right. Yeah. And obviously that's going to be your cause. Obviously it should be. And I think that a lot of people, instead of looking globally, they are probably going to start looking more like, okay, but what about me and my rights? Like a lot of women are focused on other areas, but in some states like where I live, our rights have been ripped away from us.Like I'm literally like when women have only had credit cards for like five years longer than I've been alive. And I'm looking at some of the rights that are being rolled back and I'm like, might be something I'm interested in because I would like to have a personal autonomy. When I hit 70, you know, and I think that'll be some of the decisions people are making it's like what.Political issues. Are you going to be voting around if you can't vote for all of them because the candidates are so dispersed, right? Like, what is your issue that you're, you know, your thing? This isso good, Robin. Thank you so much for coming on. Obviously go to wickedveracity. com to book a session, but at least get on the email list.Every week Robin puts out a weekly. Email that literally goes day by day of what the energy of the week is going to be, or it's also on your podcast. So you could like, listen, if you're a listener versus, oh, you don't dothat anymore. The podcast is getting relaunched later this month with an astrology thing. And it's not going to have any of my forecast. I'll be talking more about. Okay. So definitely geton the email list. What is your podcast goingto be about then? I'm going to be talking about the way to think about astrology and the way to think about the circumstances because I do get a lot of people who go, Oh, that's really good.Or, Oh, that's really bad. And I'm like, I never said that. I'm not the words that I used. Cause I don't think that any of it's good or bad. I think it's neutral and you get to experience it however you want to. And I'm going to be talking a little bit more about that and how I think about each of the planets and signs and everything.Give people a way of thinking about them. My Instagram, I also put out daily. I hate email. So I never look at email, but I always, I tend to be like, what the fuck is happening today? This feels weird. And then I go look on your Instagram, which is wicked dot veracity. It is. Yeah. And being like, what is happening and seeing if it's similar or not than what I'm experiencing. But thank you, Robin. Join us in the Regenerative Business Creation Lab here.I'm so excited that you're tuning in today because it's a really juicy episode: we're talking about how to actually put your goals into action and how to make your dreams & desires a reality.Part of making your big goals a reality needs to include breaking them down into more manageable, bite-sized goals. That means breaking down your big goal by what you can accomplish in a month or a quarter. For example - if your big goal is to be able to lift 200 pounds at the gym but you've never been to the gym before, you might have your goal for the first month to be to sign up for a gym membership & learn proper lifting form so you don't hurt yourself… and to lift 20 pounds. And your goal for the next months to be to live to lift 40 pounds. And so on. The same goes for your business goals, which is largely what we're going to be focusing on in today's episode (although you can apply these same principles to other areas of your life). If your goal is to create your first online program, your goal for the first month might be to get super clear on what the program is, who your ideal client is, and what transformation you're guiding them through. Your goal for the second month might be to outline your program, and your goal for the third month might be to begin teasing your audience and marketing your program to prepare for launching it.That obviously requires a project plan. But there are other goals that require consistent daily or weekly action - the same things over and over again… like making offers online, reaching out to people you want to work with, following up with prospects. If that's the case you need to define your daily or weekly Business Tasks that mark little successes you have each week in getting your business where you want it to be. So you can celebrate with a “hell yeah!” at the end of every week for getting things done. Even if all you got done was having one new discovery call, or finally taking care of that thing you've been putting off that only ended up taking 20 minutes (I know I'm not the only one who does this!).When you do this, you'll have manageable mini-accomplishments along the way that will help you reach your big goal. The trick is to make a concrete timeframe for you to accomplish each smaller goal — and then stick to it.And these mini-goals are actually a way that you can create a huge impact without even realizing it. (Because part of this business alchemy event is to help you get more impact in 2021!)The second part of this is answering - How will I reward myself for doing my weekly & daily tasks that push me towards my goals? You want to be Rewarding for doing the things you think move you toward your goal (like reaching out to prospects daily) versus only rewarding yourself for hitting goals, like signing a new client or hitting your launch goal. Then you can assess monthly if the consistent tasks are working or if you need to change them up next month. (or get better at copywriting or sales conversations or whatever.)Every time you lift that additional 10 pounds, or every time you post on Instagram to nurture your audience, it might not feel like a lot to you because you know that your goal at the end of the day is much larger than just this one thing. But this is still having a huge impact on your body, or is having a huge impact on your audience & your business. It's actually kind of amazing that these little steps that we take every day can be so impactful in our lives and can get us to where we want to be sometimes without us even realizing it. Like, you'll just go on auto pilot taking care of these tiny goals and not thinking much of it, and then at the end of three months or six months you realize that you've made so much progress along the way.An important piece of this is - You have to make your goals automatic. This means they're not something that you can easily forget about. You do not want to have to rely on motivation to hit your goals. Because you better bet that your motivation will run out by February.Making hitting your goals automatic means having a clear monthly or weekly plan. It means scheduling time to work on carrying out your plan. Or hiring people to do it for you with a very clear desired end result outlined.Put every step of your goals, even the small ones, into your calendar so that it's always on the top of your list.Or use a project management tool like Asana to keep things organized. For your daily or weekly consistent tasks - put them on your calendar. Maybe it's 9-10am everyday, writing a new pitch email to someone you'd love to work with, or writing a certain # of words for your book.If your goal is to be more healthy, and you find a local gym and then schedule in your calendar 3 times a week that you'll go there (knowing you can change the dates and times around when they arise)… you're already halfway there because you'll be reminded and you'll be able to keep track of if you're actually doing it. Then you just need to actually do the damn thing.So. Let's look at some business goals and how they might play out for you.We get questions all the time from people wondering about the best way to build their online presence or program. And I know a lot of people listening right now are probably thinking about their own online program that they would like to create. So I wanted to talk a little bit about what it would look like to make creating an online program a reality. Here at Dirty Alchemy, we help magical online business owners scale their profit, reach, and impact. We've assisted with dozens of launches and made our clients multiple 7 figures in 2021 alone. We know the ins and outs of what makes a good launch. Usually someone just has to tell me a little bit about what they're planning and I can tell if it's going to be a success or not. Why is it sometimes guaranteed not to be successful? Because some entrepreneurs don't really have a plan in place. They charge in headfirst toward what they want without setting those smaller goals we talked about. And then things are just… chaos. Because a launch isn't casual. It takes planning and intention to be successful. So, anyway. While our past offers have been with multiple 6 figure and 7 figure entrepreneurs to launch their programs, and build their audience... we're creating something new for 2021 so we're going through this process too.I've seen time and again the CEOs or online business owners I work with in this hamster wheel. They are visionaries, creators, leaders, and they're stuck in the day to day, micromanaging and stressed the fuck out, not even able to do the spiritual practices they teach! The Harvard business review actually did a study on CEOs and they found that CEOs fall into 2 categories- ceo managers & ceo visionaries. CEO managers spend their time - you guessed it - managing their employees or micromanaging their managers and hung up on the day to day. The visionaries spend their time focusing on the big picture, the long term, and building up the brand. With a trusted team in place to handle the rest. And guess what? The visionaries run more efficient businesses. So I'm so excited to roll out this 12 week program to help solopreneurs or online business owners who work with a piece-mealed team of contractors to elevate themselves into being the ceo & visionary of their business. So that their business is run by people that love supporting them & impact hundreds or thousands of people, while making a profit. They work for the most part in their zone of genius - creating programs, working with clients, speaking, writing, designing new methods, whatever it is for them - they have spaciousness in their life to download the vision for their business & to practice what they preach on a cellular level. It's designed as a small group program for only 10-15 women so you get super hands on support & it's going to be so good.Side note, if you want to get on the early access list for that go to thedirtyalchemy.com/mastermindSo. You can see here that the transformation is the backbone of the program. It's also the key to good marketing. It's not about how long your program is or how many sessions, it's about knowing your people, knowing where they're at, what they struggle with & where they want to go.And a “transformation” is just a fancy way of saying that people have a goal they want to hit. If someone is going into your program with the specific intention of transforming into someone who is more magical, or someone who understands astrology better, or someone who can overcome relationship blockages - whatever the desired transformation is - that's their goal. And it's worth noting that as you are guiding people through your program, you may want to employ these exact same guidelines to help your clients reach that goal. Small, focused goals. Focus on what matters. And make your goals concrete and automatic right in your calendar. As a business owner, your goals should center around who your people are, what problems they have, and what transformation you're going to take them through. The Before & After. Don't lose sight of that fact as you're pursuing your own goals. When you get clear on the people you serve and what their end result of working with you is. You're golden. This is step 1 in your offer creation and your pricing & your copywriting.So. How to hit all those business goals.Let's start by working backwards a little bit. Go back to Day 2 of Your Best Year Yet -- What's your annual revenue goal? What do you need to hit quarterly (meaning dividing your annual revenue goal by 4) and monthly (meaning dividing your annual revenue goal by 12) to hit that goal? This is going to give you an idea of what your year needs to look like.Note here for those listening that are just starting out or still working to hit their first 6 figures - You've heard me say this before & I'll say it again and again…I recommend starting with working one on one with people if you're a service based business. Selling your service to one person or one business - hone your skills, build your intellectual property, build an audience. Don't start by building an online program. And don't start your business expecting people to reach out to work with you by posting on Instagram.Reach out to people directly, or through giving value in Facebook groups, or being a speaker in a summit or podcast, or meeting people in person when & if the world opens back up post-COVID.So… I very very very much recommend your goals & your daily tasks to be creating a super clear offer & reaching out to people daily or at least creating conversations with other humans daily (and then following up with the people you want to work with consistently). Until you're fully booked up with one-on-one clients, or hit your monthly revenue goal.If you're fully booked or already at your desired monthly revenue goal… then switch over to designing & launching an online program to the audience you've been building over time.Okay! Now that I've made my standard disclaimer!...Let's look at an example: Let's say you decide to launch an online program in December 2021.That probably means your main focus for Q4 is that program.Keeping your annual revenue goal in mind, let's start with your price point. Obviously, you need to be clear on what you're offering and the value it's providing before you can set your prices. And you need to know how many people you want in the program itself.So. Start setting goals.Goal for month 1 of 2021: Get clear on your offering.Goal for month 2: Figure out your price point and how many people you want in the program. Goal for month 3: get clear on your ideal customer avatar. And so on. The Regenerative Business Creation Lab is open now! Okay! So today we're talking about goal setting. Goal setting is about giving a direction so that your actions and your magic are focused on a desired outcome. It also gives direction to the much larger support system that exists & wants to support you on your journey, be it angels, God, Jupiter, Venus, your ancestors, spirit guides, or whatever else you relate to as the massive amount of beings and energy that wants to support you in your work.We are lucky to be magical business owners because we have so much more support than muggle-owned businesses who solely rely on their blood sweat and tears. Before we dig into specific business goals for the year it's important for you to clarify a larger context. What you want out of your life. So, like I said, the subtitle for this event is: the free 5-day business alchemy experience for more fulfillment, impact, and cold hard cash in 2021. And I really want you to take away from this event how to get those three things.Defining what you want in life is your key to make sure that 2021 is the year that checks the fulfillment box.And don't worry about how to get there today. We're digging into all those details on Thursday. Today is just about setting that target to begin with. Because you need a target to know where to aim your energy.Basically… if you want to go after something, you have to first know what it is. Sounds super basic, but setting goals for what you want is a surprisingly potent kind of magic.So. I know we all want to get to the juicy goal setting. But let's start with talking about WHY you should be setting goals. Because that's the best way to know what might be blocking our goals from coming true. Some people are afraid to set goals because they're afraid that they won't like what they get…They don't want to get clients, because they're afraid they might hate them and be trapped in the contract. They don't want to fall in love because they're worried their partners might be needy or take up too much of their time. They don't want a house, because what about property taxes? And how are they gonna clean a house that big?And on and on. Our subconscious can come up with an endless number of reasons why we can't have the things we want. And a lot of the time, we don't even realize they're excuses. We just see them as fact. But they're not facts. They're fears.I just want to give you permission right now that you can handle it. And you can change your mind. If you get your goal and you hate it, then pivot. Change your goal. Change your business. Dump the guy. Whatever. But if a part of you deeply wants something, then the best way to get clarity is to get the damn thing. And see what happens. You are smart enough & capable enough to know how to handle the situation when it comes and to resolve it or find someone to help you with it.So… now it's time. Grab your journal and ask yourself — What do you really truly totally want? What would you want if no one would judge you for it?If no one would get pissed about you wanting it?If you without a doubt 100% would get it?What would you want if there was a magic wand that would wave & instantly grant it to you?I'm purposely asking this with these wording variations. Please answer all of these separately, because it'll often bring up separate answers from you. So many of us feel guilty about what we want. We don't even dream of having certain things bc we don't think we could have it or we have guilt around it or whatever baggage comes along with it. Or we don't think we deserve to have something good.We won't even add something to favorites on an online store because we have a twinge in our hearts that we can't afford it, so we can't even admit to liking it or wanting it.So. Go into each area of life and look at what you truly want. They can be deep wants (like a more rich spiritual life) or things that you might tell yourself you shouldn't want because they could be considered flashy or shallow (want a brand new car? A month long trip to Tahiti? Or a fully funded emergency fund? Write it down!)Go into this for where you live, who you spend your time with, how much you work, who's on your support team, if you have pets or children, and so on.These goals can be diverse as you are, so don't be afraid to include everything.Next ask yourself:How do you want to feel? And how would getting what you desire make you feel? This is an important separate step because you don't want to fall into the trap of hitting goals while still feeling miserable, or unsafe, or stressed the fuck out.Often we want what we want because we want to feel a certain way. We want a 7 figure business because we'll finally feel powerful, or safe. We want a man because we think it'll make us feel loved. Or a Porsche bc we'll feel wealthy. The key here is there is no guarantee that getting what you want will Of course, if you're not making enough to pay your bills or live in a safe part of town or afford healthy food, that's a different story. But after covering base needs, how we feel is affected very little by what happens externally. So building up our own ability to feel the way we want to feel is an important complementary part to goal setting. Work on your goals, while also working on feeling the way you want to feel. Practice feeling how you want to feel, especially in connection to taking action on our goals.So. Let's talk about SMART goals.Maybe you've heard of this before. SMART stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound. Structuring your goals this way gives you an anchor as your setting goals and a framework for how to achieve them. And I want to add a note here about specific vs. non-specific manifestors in Human Design. You can find out whether you're a specific or non-specific manifestor by looking at the arrow at the bottom left of your chart. The idea is that some people are built to be really specific in their goal setting & desires. The more detail the better. While others - the non-specific manifestorsYou can google how to find that in your own human design chart, but I personally found it very useful bc I found out I was nonspecific so it's better for me to focus on how I want to feel & more general desires. it helps some people to get super specific about their exact vision for the future. Get super clear on what your soul is pushing you to do. The magic is in the details, so load up your vision with all the sensations and things you want to draw in. Then there are non-specific manifestors. The name is a little misleading, because specificity is still the key here. You need to know what you want. The difference is that, if you're a non-specific manifestor, you're giving the universe a few different options to choose from for your vision. This isn't the same as calling in every vision you have, it's just expanding your arsenal. So if your vision is to increase your audience, instead of hyper-focusing on getting a feature in Forbes, you might say, “I want to be featured in an online publication that gets 10 million views a month by February of this year.” It's still a specific goal, but it's a little more flexible.So. Pick which approach sounds like it would work better for you. You might want to consulate your Human Design chart to see what it indicates about you. And then turn everything you want into a SMART goal.Set 1-3 goals like this for every area of your life: work, money, love, family, spirituality, fun, and health. For example…In the fun category. Your goal might go from “I want to learn to kite surf” to “I'm going to find a kitesurf instructor & book a session by Feb 15. Then I'm going to practice at least 1x/week.”In the family category. Your goal to buy a house becomes, “I'm going to buy a 4 bedroom, 3000 square foot house on Maui (or wherever you want to buy your house) by June 2021.” In the spirituality category. Your goal to take more time to do magic might become “I'm going to set aside ten minutes every morning to do my gratitude ritual.”In the money category. Your goal to make a million dollars might become “I'm going to spend the first three months of 2021 carefully nurturing my audience so that they're ready for the launch of my life-changing program in November that's going to generate a huge influx of energy and cash in my life.”And so on.You may need to do a little research in this process. These can be multi-step.Reframing from a vague desire to a tangible goal could require you to have a research phase, like in my kitesurf example. I need to find who teaches this.Or maybe you don't have a morning ritual but you want one. Then you need to actually decide what it's going to be. So make a date that you'll decide by.For the money category, I want you to set your Annual Revenue Goal. This will give you a template for what you want your income to look like, which will help guide you as you're planning your business and career moves. If you did yesterday's visualization, then you can use that connection point to help define your revenue goal. You can listen to that guided meditation again & ask the soul of your business & ask your future self for help setting that goal. Just go to yesterday's episode to do that.As you're thinking through all these goals, it's really important to ask yourself, What IMPACT do you want to make?Again, our goal this week is more fulfillment, impact, and cold hard cash in 2021. So we need to loop the impact we want to have on the world into this process. And this will help you get clear on what your soul is craving too.Impact can mean a lot of things, so the first step is to define it for yourself. What is impact to you?Maybe it's sharing your message with 10,000 people or 1M people. Or helping 10 women fall in love. Or giving 1% of profit to charity. Or being able to retire your husband from the job he hates.Whatever it is. Define it now.Embodiment is so helpful for this process because, in order to dig deep and understand your desires, you have to connect deeply to your feelings. You need to go through the process of reaching your goal and feeling into it. Now, look back over the goals you set.How do you want to feel this year? Do each of these goals make you feel that way? It's way more. When you are using it in it's most powerful way, it is actually doing the work for you to emit a certain energy and attract the right people in. In the context of regenerative business, your branding is like the flowers that are attracting in pollinators. And this does not mean that your branding needs to be the prettiest, or a more "alluring" version of you, or a front that you're putting out. This is actually about connecting in with, and radiating out, your truest and most authentic message. So for example, there is something called a corpse flower. The scent that it puts out is, surprise surprise, the smell of rotting flesh. And the reason for this is that is trying to attract flies, because what pollinates the corpse flower are flies.Branding allows your business to show up and put out flowers and attract people in without you actually being there. It's not you flowering. It's your business flowering. So now let's actually talk about somatic branding. So somatic, if you don't know that term, it's essentially in your body. Within our bodies is the power of our energy and emotions. And within our bodies is our unconscious minds or subconscious minds, depending on what you call it.Harvard business school, professor Gerard Zaltman found that 95% of our purchase decision-making takes place in the subconscious mind. So subconscious decision-making is more important than conscious decision-making.We make the decision first with our subconscious mind, and then our conscious mind just comes in and gives it logical reasons for why it's a good decision. And as I said, our subconscious lives in our body. So that's why somatic branding - branding that is a felt experience - is the most powerful branding that you can install within your business. And how we do this is by tapping into our own felt experience and making decisions from our felt experience of what is the energy that we're trying to radiate out.You want to emit energy through your branding.Get the Somatic Branding Masterclass for 25% off until Christmas 2023 here: https://learn.thedirtyalchemy.com/offers/HV6weonw/checkout The Regenerative Business Creation Lab is open now! She teaches creative expression and land connection and offers cosmic guidance with Flower Essences, Tarot, Astrology, Magic and Ritual.Today, Amy joins us to talk about her journey to connecting to healing plant spirits, why flowers are the perfect tool to connecting to your creativity, and how you can find inspiration & business support in plants. What do flowers have to do with creativity?Amy found in her personal experience that flower essences opened her up to being more creative, and it makes sense because flowers are the highest expression of a plant. When a plant blooms, that's when a plant is expressing itself in all its creativity. There are some esoteric theories about flowers being the cosmic energy of the universe expressed on Earth, and Amy believes they can help us be more in flow and feel more creative because they are the expression of this god or universal energy.“Flowers can help you be more expansive and put yourself out there.” - Amy Heneveld Can people use plant spirit healing at home? You can start a relationship with a plant or flower you find in your backyard or out on a hike. You can also access healing plant spirits from anywhere, even if the plants aren't there right now. Amy starts with her clients by using plants they have a history or relationship with already. What are the best plants to communicate with to support business owners?Any plant that will help you express yourself, like flowers in general. Amy has a flower essence, Self-Heal, which is designed to heal your throat center and teach you how to express your needs and desires. Yellow flowers like dandelion are also very helpful in finding the strength and confidence to expand your business, it helps us grow and shine our light. Star of Bethlehem is a great plant for when you're just starting out, and can be especially helpful to instill women with a belief in their own divinity and a capacity to channel that divine energy.“There are often parallels between the plants we need and the plants growing around us.” - Amy Heneveld References:Anastasia Ringing Cedars book seriesSelf-Heal Enosburgh Essence flower essenceThyme Enosburgh Essence flower essenceVoriagh Clothing Keep up with Amy:Website: https://www.enosburghessences.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/amysheneveldFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/enosburghessences Let's stay in touch!Watch this episode on YoutubeFollow us on Instagram: @thedirtyalchemyVisit our website: thedirtyalchemy.com

This is TRAINING 2 of the free 4-Part Training "Sacred Growth: Nurturing Your Online Business like a Food Forest" - Get the Full Training here: https://www.thedirtyalchemy.com/forestIn the online business world, through an Industrial Revolution lens, you set your business up like a factory. Input money into the Facebook ads machine and it spits out views or purchases. Input people into your funnel and it spits out buyers. You see your business as a machine, which makes it so you and your team are cogs in the machine. There are right and wrong ways to do business in this factory model, so you follow a formula given to you and make everything as efficient as possible.Let's compare this with Nature's systems. Ecosystems. Look around the world and there are ## different ecosystems that are responsive to the other ecosystems that are around them. There is no one right way because the right-ness of one system depends on the climate, the geography, the species that wander in and out.If we drill in a bit, and focus on the forest-like systems that are highly abundant and self-reliant, you find 3 types:The Oak SavannahThe Recovering Forest, andThe Mature ForestThe key piece in all of these is what? Trees. Mature trees that create stability for the long-term. Along with this are other perennial plants.A perennial plant is a plant that continues growing year after year, versus an annual plant which needs to be replanted by you year after year. An example of perennial plants that we eat include artichoke and asparagus — these vegetables can be planted once and year after year they bloom and grow food, themselves. Trees obviously fall into this category too - apple trees, hazelnut trees - once you plant the tree and it grows a few years to maturity, it will produce a ridiculous amount of fruit every single year. Compare this with what we consider standard food crops - annual plants like lettuce and carrots — with annual plants you harvest the plant - you pick the head of lettuce or the carrot, and the plant dies. You wait through the fall and winter and in spring you have to work again to prepare the soil and plant seeds to grow the plants again. When you center a system around perennial plants, you do less work. Not only do you not have to plant again each year, but perennial plants fertilize the land for you. All those leaves that a tree drops in the fall? When you don't wastefully rake it up and set it on the curb, it protects the ground, and decomposes to create more fertility. With this shedding of leaves, with this death, comes life.In our forest-like systems, we center around trees and perennial plants. The plants that do most of the work for us, once they're established. And from there we can plant as many annual plants as we like, I mean, carrots are my favorite vegetable… but we do so with full awareness that those plants require human work, they don't take care of themselves. So back to our 3 types of Food Forests:The Oak Savannah, The Recovering Forest, and The Mature ForestLet's start with the Oak Savannah - with the Oak Savannah there are trees, but there is quite a bit of open land between the mature trees. There's a lot of grassland with trees and shrubs interspersed within. The open tracts of land allow for lots of herbaceous crops, ground cover, annual plants, all because the sun reaches the ground in abundance.I'm going to go through each of these 3 before bringing them back to your business so one second please. The Oak Savannah provides the most variety of crops because of its open canopy, but it also requires the most maintenance because it is the least centered around our big trees. With this system you will need to be in there on a weekly if not daily basis to maintain it and tend to it.It produces a ton of crops and variety, but requires the most human intervention.Onto the Recovering Forest. In the Recovering Forest there are clusters of larger trees that provide a partial canopy with some sun reaching the ground. In those spaces shrubs and some annual crops can grow. In earthly ecosystems these often exist after wildfires, and eventually become a Mature Forest.A Recovering Forest provides an abundance of perennial crops, and also some annual crops. It has less variety than the Oak Savannah, but requires less work. It does still require work - but you don't need to be in the thick of it everyday. The Mature Forest is the most obvious. With a Mature Forest - when you step into it it is dark with life. A full canopy of trees shade the ground, preventing sunlight from hitting the soil. The Mature Forest takes time to establish. The focus here is really on those big trees, with some shade-tolerant plants growing below. It's excellent for growing fruits and nuts and even lumber, and specific shade-tolerant understory plants like currants, but it doesn't have the variety that the Oak Savannah does. The trade off of course is that it is LOW maintenance. Once it's established it is pretty much taking care of itself. Except during harvest time.Okay. So what the heck does this mean for your business? If you remember our quiz from the last video, you know that you have your own preferences and inclinations + your mission and vision of the business impacts its future. The size of the organism that you are creating and the amount of energy that you want to put into your business on a weekly or monthly basis leads to different business designs… or food forest types. With the Oak Savannah - you have variety. You get to show up with your full creativity and flow with your desires for your business. Maybe that's working with people one-on-one and completely customizing your work for them. It's not super replicable. It's bespoke. Or maybe you pump out new workshops and trainings and courses every year. You get to follow your excitement, but that also means you have to create new marketing, operations, messaging, all the things for each new thing that you put out. With the Oak Savannah you're the center of your business so you have to be present in your business every week to guide the vision. In terms of marketing you rely on lean platforms like Instagram that you can easily pivot on.On the other side, with the Mature Forest you have externalized most of your expertise and genius to be housed in your business. They are growing like large canopy trees. Your business stores all of that power so that it is self-regulating and self-reliant. You have one, or maybe a few established offers that have created a name for themselves and that take your people on a set journey, versus being customized. Your branding is recognizable and consistent over the years. You're niched down so that your messaging is consistent and focused. You establish longterm marketing channels that work for you, like search engine optimization, paid ads, and content marketing. You know exactly how people find you, have a channel for them to come into your ecosystem, and go deeper. In between those two, with the Recovering Forest - there is some play between the two. You will have a few established offerings that allow you to serve your people one-to-many that you have to run a few times and maybe even have them selling evergreen. Your business has a clear mission and a clear group of people or purpose you serve, but you still flow with your excitement around it, maybe offering different workshops from time to time, creating courses on a whim from divine inspiration. And maybe you still like the creative control of going on social media to share and connect. If you answered mainly A's in the quiz, you most likely will thrive setting up your business like an Oak Savannah-style system. If you answered mainly B's — Recovering Forest. And if you answered mainly C's then you'd most likely love having your business setup Mature Forest-style.I'll put the quiz again below — and a friend forwarded this to you and you want the transcript, workbooks, and all the things, head on over to thedirtyalchemy.com/forest to optin to this whole series before it's taken down. So, obviously quizzes are oversimplifications, so if you don't fit into a certain box, or you're like “I KNOW I want a Mature Forest, or a Oak Savannah, even if my quiz says otherwise” — run with it!!Remember from my podcast episode from DATE “Title” - there are 3 phases to building a regenerative system, the first one being the setup or installation stage. No matter how hands-off you want your business to be it will still require your hands on in the beginning, or increased human intervention in any stage in which you're trying to expand. That doesn't mean you're screwed, or that it's not working, or that you'll be stuck grinding forever - it's simply apart of a process, and a phase that will pass, assuming you're intentionally designing a regenerative business system. So how exciting is this?? You now have a clear type of food forest-style system to install in your business. Make sure you comment below which one you are so we can see and celebrate you.In the next video we'll dive into the 7 layers of every food forest that you want to establish in your business, so head to the next video now, or schedule some time tomorrow or this weekend to do that.
This is TRAINING 3 of the free 4-Part Training "Sacred Growth: Nurturing Your Online Business like a Food Forest" - Get the Full Training here: https://www.thedirtyalchemy.com/forestAnd, the Regenerative Business Creation Lab is open now!! Click here to get all the details: https://regenerativebusinesscreationlab.com/When you look at a forest it's easy to see a wall of green. But as you spend more time with it your eyes start to see and recognize the different layers, different species, different shades.Whether you decided on an Oak Savannah, Recovering Forest, or Mature Forest from the last video, each of these have 7 layers in them that work together and play their part in the fertility of the overall system.Fertility here I'm using as the aliveness and regeneration of the whole. Your creativity, abundance, impact. If you read my book ‘Regenerative Business' then you may remember that one of Nature's principles is biodiversity. Biodiversity creates a strong, resilient system, and homogeneity causes weakness.A forest isn't just a mono crop of 1 type of tree and nothing else. It is a diverse network of many plants, trees, species, that are collaborating. In a traditional food forest, there are 7 layers that all work together. And by layers, I'm talking actual physical layers that are taking up 3-D space. So instead of acres and acres of corn taking up only 1 grassy layer, there are 7 stacking layers that are cohabitating 1 space.1. First we have the Tall Tree or Canopy LayerThis layer provides large quantities of food + shade. These are your large fruit and nut trees, as well as support trees that help improve your soil such as nitrogen fixers like alders.2. The second layer is the Sub-Canopy or Large Shrub LayerThis is commonly fruit trees like apples.3. The third layer is the Shrub Layer: Here we have shrubs, like raspberries, blueberries, and also medicinal plants. This layer provides a lot of nutrition and healing. It also provides nesting space for wildlife and increases biodiversity.4. Next we have our Herbaceous Layer: This is when we start adding in more traditional food crops like vegetables and flowers for beneficial insects. This layer Dies back in winter - if you have a cold winter - and brings a ton of variety, and where you can lay on things you love and novelty. If you remember from the last video, our Oak Savannah is for those who want way more of this layer. This playful novelty that requires a repeated energy investment. For example, doing a one-off mini workshop just because you want to.5. The 5th layer is the Groundcover Layer: The purpose here is to cover the ground and hold the soil in place so it doesn't wash or blow away in a storm. It also holds moisture in the ground so that you don't have to water as much. Think, strawberries for eating, clover for teas and also being able to be stepped on and acting like a living mulch to protect the soil below.6. The Root Crops Layer gives us grounding staples. Potatoes, garlic, bulbs, onions, sun chokes.7. And finally we have the vining Layer: Vines climb the woody plants and trees — You can think of this layer as a ladder that connects all of the other layers. Vining plants can grow all the way from the ground layer to the tops of tree canopies. For each of these layers we have the operational and marketing side. Kind of like plant growth versus plant pollination and fruiting. For our tall trees - which are the piece we design around, we have our core offers, funnels and launches.I know that the words “funnel” and “launch” can give people hives but it's the most straightforward way to describe them since people know what I'm talking about when I say them. Please sub in Evergreen Ecosystem for funnel and Sacred Attraction Formula for launch if that feels better for you. There's a concept in regenerative agriculture called “Companion Planting” where one plant takes certain nutrients from the soil while the other provides shade or a thick trunk for a vining plant to grow up. You can think of your Food Forest funnel like this - where you're intentionally planting offers and systems to work together harmoniously without your human intervention. Our tall trees give us a clear way to deliver epic transformation and to deepen the relationship with our core people. In a Mature Forest that means your entire business is focused on this. Our sub-canopy adds in another layer of promotions and offers that reenforces our main canopy. Maybe that looks like doing a flash sale on your birthday. The shrub layer is the all-important Community element of business. Communities come in so many shapes and sizes. You can create community through a blog, or on your social media, in a free Facebook group, a paid membership, or your podcast. This is a place where people want to visit and return to to be seen. With the herbaceous layer we have all the novelty that my Oak Savannah people crave. You do all the things - courses, workshops, physical products, more courses, webinars, whatever. And you have to tend to it and replant it and feed it. You work the land for your harvest. With our ground cover we are holding moisture and fertility in the soil. On a personal level that is our magical practices and mindset. On a business systems level that is client attracting things like ads and SEO.Our root layer works below the surface - it's the systems and operations we have in place that when done right - we plant once and it continues to feed us for years. And finally our vines. Touching every layer of our business is the people that support the business' mission - the team. Our vines, our team maximize production within the area of planting. They help us to make the most of space and time within the system we have created. If you've been on the RBCL sales page then you know that there are more things at play than just the food forest - other species and elements. For example we have to acknowledge the flowers that each of these layers put out — this echoes how our branding and messaging is woven into each layer of our business. With a Mature Forest we have super consistent branding and marketing since we're centralized around 1 or a few core offers. Versus our Oak Savannah that has all sorts of crops and plants and flowers so we get to play and develop different messaging and branding across the business. There are also important elements like sun and water that your forest needs. These are the people or the visibility needed for your ecosystem to thrive. Because if you don't have people interacting with your business, it shrivels up and dies, as you as the gardener keep pouring your energy into it.Head on over to the RBCL info page if you want to play with our interactive forest image with hotspots explaining the different pieces at play in your business ecosystem. So now you have your quiz results, your chosen food forest type, and the 7 layers to fill. Take out your journal, or download this video's workbook to fill in your 7 layers + identify what may be lacking in your business now. After that - head to the next video to address arguably the most important part of your ecosystem - the climate and soil quality - AKA what energy and programming you're seeding your forest with.
Click here to get all the details: https://regenerativebusinesscreationlab.com/Okay onto the fun part. Addressing the climate and soil quality of you!You as the founder - you planted the first acorn seed that grows into the full forest so the energy you carry in yourself, with your body, your mindset, the energetic practices you do - they can supercharge. This is the fertile soil that you plant in + the regenerative fertilizer you can add in when you want or need it.If you're here, you could be a self-development junky and your growth is really in setting up your business ecosystem from the last videos.Or you could be the opposite - or in the middle - where you are obsessed with new strategies and taking all the actions, and you've been avoiding the YOU part of your business.Either way, stay with me today as we address a few layers and assess if there is something in your being that could shift We're about to go pretty wide here because although my trade is business and marketing, I have been fucking obsessed with this type of stuff for the last 14 years AND it is actually insanely practical and efficient to work on the energetic side of things so that your physical actions run smoother.Let's go.Well first, let's just do a check on the last few videos. In order for you to have a business that thrives longterm - definitely base it around your True Nature. Don't base it around what you think is easiest or on trend or what your mentor is doing or what's “right.” Do it based on your creative spark. For example. I am a Manifestor in Human Design. I also have ADHD. These are my energetic blueprint explanations for my deep fulfillment through what I call creative portals. I am happiest when I am a few hours deep into a creative project - and no one is around to pull me out of it. It means that I can get an insane amount of work done, but only on my time schedule. It means I do my best work when I don't have to email people or go to meetings. I LOVE teaching but don't want to teach the same training twice. I'm also an extremely sensitive person so on a monthly or even weekly basis I don't know how I'm going to feel. So I ride my creative wave when I have them, and have systems and people in place in my business so that when I'm low then it doesn't matter. That is the opposite of other people. Some people's dream job is working in person with people and traveling and being on calls with people. Some people love regularity and consistency. Some people just want a business that makes them a good income so they have plenty of time to play with their kids!Really really really giving voice to what you really want is important work. And honestly, business takes work, at least in the beginning or when you're pivoting - so you might as well be honest with yourself NOW as to exactly what you want so that the work you put in is leading you to the business you genuinely want.So go back to your decisions from the last few videos - your quiz, your food forest type, your food forest layers - and do an honesty check.Okay, now let's go.There are 3 levels I want to look at when it comes to your soil quality and increasing your soil fertility.First, let me explain the metaphor. When you have super fertile soil you can grow just about anything easily. It takes less work. What grows is healthier. So with YOU being the soil that your business grows out of, we want to address your subconscious mind, your mindset, and magic.Obviously, an insane number of books and full on mystery schools are built on these so this is a delicious morsel in the scheme of things, but going deep First your subconscious mind —How you know your subconscious mind is blocking your business success is if you have body reactions to certain things — like you go into a freeze response if you think about posting about your business on your public Facebook account — or if you keep seeing the same patterns “happen” in your life over and over — think, your income has plateaued, or you keep firing virtual assistants for the same reason, or youOn the mental side of the subconscious, my favorite way to shift is through Carolyn Elliot's Existential Kink process. It's like shadow work on steroids. You can read or listen to her book, which is fantastic. Or you can do this:1. Identify the “don't like” situation. For example: Your income has plateaued2. Identify the energy below that: Maybe it's a sense of “there's not enough” AKA scarcity, or “If I make more money the IRS will come after me” AKA fear of being seen3. Spend 15 minutes connecting with the part of you that fucking loves that energy + find genuine pleasure in that energy — So with scarcity, see if you can connect with the part of you that likes not-enough-ness or constriction. 4. Continue daily for 2 weeks. If you're unfamiliar with shadow work then you probably are so offended right now. But the psychology underneath this is that a part of you genuinely wants the situation you're in. And it's gonna keep recreating it until you acknowledge it, celebrate it, and find pleasure in it. That untethers you from it.On the somatic side of the subconscious, try the Emotional Freedom Technique - also known as tapping - and/or hypnosis. Some common areas for people:Visibility — being afraid to be seen, or being seen by a certain person or entityRejection — what will people think of me if. I'm too much, not enough…Capacity — Especially if you have a history of depression, or if you're currently burnt out — how could you possibly make more money if you're already so exhausted at this lower income!! Explore.I also have to mention a less elegant solution here. And that's some good old exposure therapy.Afraid of being seen? Commit to doing an Instagram Live everyday for a week.Afraid of rejection? Go cold call a dream client, or a fun one is going somewhere and asking for something for free - like walk into a gas station and ask the clerk if they'll give you a lighter for free. It's shockingly hard, but can completely reorient your relationship with rejection and even social norms around money.9 times out of 10 the rejection you face isn't that big of a deal - like your aunt telling you to put more clothes on or that she thinks your pricing is absurd - but do you even really like your aunt anyways? She's definitely not the person you're intending to attract as a client. If you want some structure, check out Simone Seol's Garbage post challenge where you post on social media 100 times in 30 days — she has a full podcast episode with rules and nuances and FAQs.The next layer to look at is your Mindset. I like to think of subconscious work like shadow work as composting rotten material to make fertile new soil, and mindset work as planting the seed in your fertile soil.I spent years doing shadow work because I thought shadow work was cooler and more intelligent than mindset work (unfortunately I'm not kidding) but it wasn't until I circled back to mindset work that massive shifts started happening in my business. Both are needed - creating fertile soil and planting the seed.So ask yourself - have I already done a ton of excavating work and am I now ripe to plant seeds?Mindset work is with your conscious mind and works on changing your beliefs.I'm putting some beliefs in the workbook for you to explore. If any of these feel ridiculous or farfetched, I invite you to play with them, warm up to them, find proof of them. For example:People love to pay me.Self care is a profit generating activity. The more fun I have the more money I make.I'm a go-to expert in my field. You can also warm up and start feeling comfortable with things you want but don't have yet — whether that's an income level you want or a level of visibility or travel or spaciousness.Bring to mind the moment of actually getting that thing. Maybe it's a specific monthly income goal. Then lean into what makes you feel the most in your body — speak, write, or visualize. Speak your gratitude for having the thing. Write out what you want as if it's done. See yourself in that moment and feel the feelings. And repeat. With the conscious mind - repetition is key. So develop a daily practice of this, even if it's 2 minutes a day.And you can passively install it into your life by writing the thing on a post-it note on your desk, or changing your computer background, or some other thing that is in the background of your life that requires you no energy. The third soil fertility area is Magic. What I mean by that is that we aren't these closed-off beings floating in space. We are in collaboration with so many unseen forces. I know. I'm so woo. But if you're into witchy shit and rituals, that's what you're doing. You're speaking with the dream we're all dreaming through archetypes and metaphors. So ask yourself - have I been super focused on ME? Have I been utilizing the much bigger and more powerful Magical Beyond that I have instant access to?Ritual magick where you're lighting specific colored candles with the moon or working with Planetary Deities is so fun.Jump into that weird rabbit hole on the internet. We have a full Planetary Deity blog series on our website that I'll link to below.A more non-witch-friendly magical practice is Feng Shui, which is arranging your home in relation to the flow of energy. Just like other occult rituals you'll notice different elements and colors used in specific ways — like adding purple to the left-back corner of your home to increase your wealth — but for some reason, Feng shui is more palatable for people so here we are.The simplest Feng shui practices is keeping your home clean and uncluttered and keeping things in your home that you love. And my favorite Feng shui hack is keeping fresh flowers in your home. Talk about luxury!Circling back, start to think about how YOU are blocking your business' success, and work on these 3 levels to expand — subconscious, mindset, and magic.Go ahead and download the workbook to dig into that. And of course, if you want the exact practices and resources I use for this Regenerative Alchemy, come join me in the Regenerative Business Creation Lab. It is open now and is at the lowest price it'll be until November 26th only. You can jump to the next video for all the details!

Now that that's clear - let's jump into our first training!…The concept of a Food Forest is something I learned when I got my Permaculture Design Certification in 2012.The term perma-culture is a play on the words “permanent agriculture” and was coined to describe designing food growing systems that mimic how Nature grows food. Of course it doesn't actually originate there —The food forest concept I first learned in “permaculture” echos the forest gardens common among the Indigenous societies of North America's northwestern coast, and worldwide.Indigenous peoples around the world have lived and continue to live in relationship with land.Nature doesn't grow food like large-scale commercial farms, with rows and rows of the same crops acting like a salad bar for bugs, requiring pesticides and human intervention, and centered around making a profit. Nature grows food in forests.Rainforests cover less than 2% of the Earth's total surface area, yet they are home to 50% of the Earth's plants and animals.Out of the 3,000 plants the U.S. National Cancer Institute has identified as useful in the treatment of cancer, 70% of these plants are found only in rainforests. At least 80% of the developed world's food originated in the tropical rainforest. Its bountiful gifts to the world include fruits like avocados, oranges, tomatoes; vegetables including corn, potatoes, winter squash; spices like black pepper, coffee and vanilla; and nuts like Brazil nuts and cashews.[Source]These food forests or forest gardens are apart of our human nature and are resilient as fuck.A sad example showing this is the forest gardens established around First Nation villages in Alaska — colonists forcibly removed the indigenous people from their villages 150 years ago but the forest gardens are currently thriving without human intervention. The land is waiting for its people to return.[Source]These systems don't require pesticides to thrive. Or human intervention. They don't require humans at all. Nature designed them to be self-reliant and to self-regulate — through many species of plants, animals, fungi, insects, bacteria, and rocks, minerals, molecules, elements, all collaborating and cohabitating in a multidimensional cycle of death and growth, all in the name of increased alive-ness of the system. In ecological succession, most ecosystems end up like a forest. And without significant disturbances, like wildfires or severe climate changes or humans coming through a clearcutting it, the forest will endure indefinitely, because the system becomes stable and self-perpetuating.So within permaculture, whether you're designing a backyard food growing system, or a 100+ acre farm, you're using this concept of a Food Forest in its design.Because who's the most fertile, abundant, resilient systems designer? Nature. And when we design like Nature does, our systems are less reliant on us. We get our freedom and time back. And we create something beautiful and wild for the world, that can shock the current Industrial status quo.And it doesn't have to stop at food-growing systems. We can use Nature's principles and teachings to design our business systems too.Our focus today is an important one. You may want to skip it because it's less flashy than the next couple trainings, but this step is absolutely necessary to complete before starting the next 2.Today we'll be setting your Food Forest goal and analyzing your site. This is different than your annual revenue goal or anything like that.1. SETTING YOUR ULTIMATE GOALBefore designing a Food Forest you need to be clear on what your goal is. Because a goal of growing enough food for your family with as little work required from you as possible, versus you creating a community hub and demonstration site, versus you wanting as much food production as possible so you can sell your extra to local restaurants and create value added products to sell at farmers markets, all of those could be done on the same plot of land, but what you plant and what systems you set up would be significantly different.Down below this video you'll find a list of questions to go through today to get clear on your business's ultimate goal — it's essentially a short quiz whose answers will enlighten the decisions you'll be making in the next 2 videos.Let's go through them together now - you can mark down your answers as we go along, or return to this later. DO record your answers in a journal or Notes app. Please really tune into what you REALLY want, versus what's flashy or what you could brag about. It is just as worthy and valid and valuable to want to design your business to support your preferred lifestyle and help your people in your corner of the internet, as it is to want to build a massive organization where you're featured on The View.

It boggles my mind what a little bit of water and attention can do.The land I live on is essentially a dessert. Not that it's meant to be — Olowalu, on the West side of Maui 5 minutes south of Lahaina, used to be a breadfruit forest and considered a place of refuge (puʻu honua). The waters in the streams and traditional waterways have been stolen and diverted for corporations, private use, and hotel lawns after the land was clear cut for the sandalwood industry and then sugarcane industry. Now the land is like a dessert. The hills covered in golden dried grasses, and there are wildfires every year bringing destruction. But in the last 12 months of living on this particular property here, and the last 24 months that my husband has been regenerating the land here — our few acres has transformed. It struck me so intensely the other morning. Every morning I walk our dogs along a path that meanders through the hilled landscape. It's a 45 minute walk there and back and when we cross back onto our property it's like stepping through a veil. From dry dessert into lush forest. And all it took was consistent attention, mulch, and water. In feng shui, flowing water represents wealth.A peaceful stream or river is like consistent money flowing into your business, and ponds and oceans are like the accrual of assets and wealth. This mentally makes a lot of sense since in settings like these, water gives you your basic needs. Food. Sustenance. Safety (fire prevention). So when business feels hard, when it feels dry like a dessert, remember that some water and attention can rehabilitate it pretty quickly.Let's look a little bit deeper into this process. First in terms of land, and then your business.
Today we'll be chatting about 5 BIG REASONS why you prioritizing reconstructing your business into a regenerative business model is essential right now.
With waves and waves of technological advances over the last 260+ years, we've become obsessed with the New.There is undoubtedly an obsessive, addictive element to it.What a great distraction from what is really happening — our continual disconnection from Nature, dehumanization, and objectification. As the UN pointed out in 2013, more people in the world have access to a mobile phone than basic sanitation. (New tech = More important than human life these days…)Just to be clear - I am ALL FOR technology! My astrology chart is Mercury-dominant so you better believe that the internet and my cellphone is on my daily gratitude list

Including your business. There are periods of growth. Awesome growth where you're hitting all your goals and kicking ass. And then there are periods of death where you have to take a step back and reevaluate what you're doing if you want to cycle back into success. There are times of celebration and times of rest. And these cycles correlate with the seasons. Also let me just clarify that I'm not saying your business cycles should align with the actual seasons that are happening right now. You can have a summer in your business on a snowy day in January. You can have a period of rest in the dead heat of July if that's what your business is ready for. Here, we're looking at how you can use the energy of each season to create a balanced and sustainable business model. And these seasonal cycles apply to more than just your business. Anything that you are birthing with your business will have these cycles inherent in it. So your last online program will also have these periods of preparation, high sensation, and rest. So, let's dive in. Spring is a time of birth, growth, new life… it's when the flowers start to bud and the animals start shacking up.If you've been listening to this podcast for a while you probably know that I live on a regenerative farm, where we grow a ton of food. Some of it we give away, some of it we sell in FSA boxes, a lot of it we eat ourselves (and it's easily the best food you could get anywhere)...So needless to say, farming is really important to me. Growing my own food gives me a lot of gratification. And along the way I've learned so much about the process of planting and growing and how that applies to the rest of life.Spring is a time to plant your seeds. Pretty soon after that, you begin to see sprouts start to pop up out of the ground. The plants aren't anywhere near ready to harvest yet, but this is the time of preparation and planning that you need to put in if you want to eventually get something out of the land. So if you're in the spring phase of your business, that means you are starting to plant the seeds of your next big goal. Maybe you know you want to launch an online membership, but you first have to come up with an incredible idea and then figure out exactly how you're going to implement that to change peoples lives. You have to brainstorm and refine your ideas (and if you want to learn more about how to refine your ideas, listen to episode 7 of the podcast where I talk about how to distill your message, I'll link it in the show notes).Basically, if you ever want to get anywhere in your business, you first have to take the time to birth your big idea and then figure out what you need to help that idea grow. You need really fertile soil, and that might mean something different to everyone depending on what your business is.So let's look at an example.Let's say your business is as a master coach that helps other coaches build their businesses. When your business is in its Spring, it will probably look like finding the people who you want to coach, determining who your ideal customer avatar is and refining that person until you know exactly who you want to work with.So spring is the time to get specific about your audience. Because if you think about it, you can plant 1,000 different seeds at the beginning of the growing season. But unless you have the time and energy to actually commit to taking care of all those 1,000 different seeds when they sprout and then eventually become plants that need daily care and attention… yeah, those seeds you planted are just going to wither away and die. And you aren't going to get anything out of them, except wasting your time and money. So use the spring phase of your business to focus on specifically what your business is and who you want to work with. And then you can prepare and plan out how your big awesome business idea is going to seduce the right people into working with you.And a part of this is marketing, right? I mean a big part of growing your business is marketing your business the right way for your audience. So let's talk about growth for a second.A lot of people, when they think of business growth, they think of pulling in a ton of money. They think of the monetary growth that comes with having a successful business. But growth does not equal profit. If your business is in growth mode, then you give up profit. Because it costs money to grow. You have to pay for more people on your team, more ads and marketing, plus all that new content you're creating takes a ton of time (and time = money)...That's growth. That's spending your money and your time. And… If your business is in profit mode, realize that you'll also have to stabilize your business & optimize your processes so that your expenses go down so your profit goes up (remember that profit is total revenue - expenses). So you really do need a balance of growth mode and profit mode in order to really maximize the money that you're pulling in and make your business as successful as possible. This means things like nurturing your audience on a customer value journey, optimizing your funnel, and preparing for your next launch far an advance.Another element to this is that when your business is growing that means you're creating a ton of new content. This is another type of planting a seed.Content creation is a slow moving part of business, but it's a huge part of building your brand and your audience. But I still know business owners who have a ton of internal resistance to creating Instagram posts and other social media content, because they feel like it's this huge time suck, either for themselves or their team members. The copywriting, graphics, responding to comments… it's a lot of work. And organic growth does take a really long time. Just like it takes a long time for that seed that you planted at the beginning of the growing season to eventually turn into food that you can harvest. You want to plant those seeds so that in the future you'll have new audience members and customers who can buy into your program. Now… Let's talk about pulling in that money! This is the summer of your business. Summer is the season of big round juicy fruit, celebration, parties and barbecues, the start of the harvest season...This is a time of high sensation. You know you're in a summer phase when your business feels really intense. When your campaigns go live, when you're doing your big launch and you're hitting your goals. You're pulling in new clients and a huge cash influx. This is probably also when you're working longer weeks. You're staying up late at night to make sure everything is going smoothly. Maybe you feel some anxiety about constantly checking how many new people have joined your program. There's a lot going on, there's a lot of emotion involved, and this is when you really see all of the hard work you put in during the growth period come to fruition. And if you've done a big lunch before then you know they often go by so quickly you kind of miss the excitement of it until it's over. Just like summer, it seems to come in a flash and then you feel nostalgic for it when it's over. And then it's time for Fall. Fall is about the continuing of the harvest, when things are starting to die off, and about processing the harvest you've already reaped. So this is the season of fulfilling the work. This is after your launch, when you're running the numbers and doing the accounting. This is a time when you really want to be reflecting back on what your goals were. What happened to the seeds you planted way back in spring? Did they germinate and create an awesome program or product? Or did they wither away? The excitement from the launch is dying down. It's time to shift your focus to celebrating the harvest. You want to be basking in those new customers or clients, and showing them why they joined your business to begin with. If you missed episode 16 of the podcast, we talked all about how you can get your customers to actually participate in your program, fall in love with your program, and leave you ecstatic testimonials that will help you bring in new people. And that's what the autumn of your business is all about. The excitement of the launch has died down, the big cash influx has died down, but now is the time when you need to be reflecting on how you can best serve your new clients or customers. So I'll link episode 16 in the show notes, and I recommend giving it a listen because it's going to give you so much more insight into what I'm talking about here. You are processing that harvest: you are giving your customers the proper care and attention they need to stick with you through the rest of the seasons of your business. And finally winter. This is of course the period of death, coldness, fallow land, and being stuck inside which in a spiritual sense translates to going inward, connecting with your ancestors and your spirituality, and embracing darkness itself.Part of resting and recuperating when we're talking about business often means getting back to a harmonious business family relationship. Now is when you might want to step back and connect to your loved ones. That could mean penciling time into your schedule to go out and get a drink with a friend. It could be spending more time with your spouse or your kids. Whatever that looks like, this is actually a really important part of work. Because if you feel like you never get the chance to recuperate from being busy with work, you might start to resent your business and give less of yourself to it. Or it might cause problems at home which will also make you less present when you are at work.So this is a part of the cycle, too. It's a fucked up perception of our society that business has to be about continual growth & anything other than that is failure. Because nature is in constant flux.Constant growth is why we're way overpopulated for the capacity of our planet. It's why our landfills are overflowing with things people bought that they didn't really want or need.Stabilization is a beautiful thing. "Lifestyle" businesses — businesses built around the idea that we're all people and some of us have kids and some of us have bad days and all of us are human beings trying to live in the world — these are a beautiful thing. And one other thing… realize that a lot of online businesses that are boasting about a 7-figure or 8-figure revenue have little to no profit. They are spending as much as they're making in order to boast about the vanity metric of top-line revenue, because they aren't going through these cycles. They're working nonstop but like a hamster on a wheel they aren't going anywhere… when it would make a lot more sense for them to take a step back and spend some time re-evaluating their business and what needs to change. Here are some inquiries that can help you use the cycles of the seasons to make your business more effective and successful.Spring:What does business growth mean to you?How might mentally distinguishing between increased profit and increased reach/audience help you to reach your goals? How do you decide which seeds to plant in your business? Do you spread yourself too thin by planting too much? Or do you ever plant seeds without fully understanding the amount of work that will come when it's time to put the work in to harvest them?Summer:How do you handle times of high sensation in your business? Do you tend to lose sleep and carry a lot of stress during your launches? If you do, it's time to examine how you can help yourself stay more in the flow. Just like your business cycles, you need to take time to rest even in the midst of big events in your business. Allow yourself to have a period of “summer” during each day of your launch, where you are a shit ton of stuff done and do all the things you need to do to make your launch a success… a period of fall, even if it's only an hour of relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening… and a period of winter where you let yourself get some sleep!Autumn:Now is the time to reflect on everything you've learned in your business during the first two phases of the cycle. So first, think about what has already happened in your business. What went well about your launch? What could you have done better? How will you alter your goals and your approach for next launch? And then the work that still needs to be done...What steps are you taking to nurture your clients post-launch? Is there anything you could be doing better to guide and support them in your work?Winter:Do you fear the winter of your business? Do you start panicking if you have a slow month? Now is the time to turn inward and reflect upon what you need from your business… and what your business needs from you.Remember, your business has its own soul.
