Tatsächlich gibt es schon wieder eine Folge des SpielBar Podcasts! Ungewöhnlich zügig, zeitnah und rasant. Auch das können wir! Marco war zu Gast bei den Freunden fürs Extraleben und hat mit dem wunderbaren Manuel eine neue Episode für euch aufgenommen. Natürlich sprechen wir wie immer zuerst über die zuletzt gespielten Videospiele. Was haben wir uns also aufgetischt? Zum einen Diablo IV, SCHiM, Animal Well und Baba Is You! Im Bereich der kleinen und großen Pixel hat Alan Wake 2 für Remedy Entertainment leider immer noch nicht alle Entwicklungskosten eingespielt und zu den weiteren Projekten gab der Entwickler ein Status-Update. Meta schließt das Videospielstudio Ready at Dawn, die vor allem im VR-Bereich zuletzt gut bewertete Spiele veröffentlichten und natürlich vorher The Order: 1886 auf die PS4 feuerten. Spielerisch kein Meisterwerk, aber grafisch auch heute noch mehr als überzeugend! Seit Warner Bros. der Menschheit Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League vor die Füße warf, geht dem Publisher so langsam aber sicher die Düse. Letztes Jahr noch hochzufrieden mit Hogwarts Legacy, so sieht es aktuell alles andere als rosig aus. So denkt man darüber nach einen Teil der Videospielsparte zu verkaufen oder aber eigene Marken an externe Studios zu lizensieren. Sony Santa Monica arbeitet an einem nächsten Titel, wer hätte das gedacht! Und die WolfEye Studios, mitunter ehemalige Entwickler der Arkane Studios, haben ein wenig über deren kommendes Projekt geplaudert. Irgendwo zwischen Prey und Fallout: New Vegas. Fans und Freunde des Genres dürfen sich also freuen. Grund zur Freude gibt es auch weiterhin erstmal nicht bei Bungie. Jason Schreier sprach jüngst über die Entwicklungen von Marathon, das wohl nächste große Ding und so wirklich lebhaft scheint die Stimmung nicht zu sein. House House describes the game as a “Cooperative Online Walker-Talker” Set out with your friends through a wide-open world full of challenges, puzzles, and discoveries. You'll need to work together to find your way around, stay in contact using an assortment of tools and toys, and figure out new ways to communicate when you suddenly find yourself speechless. Adventuring aside, there's plenty of time to just hang out. Sit and watch the sunset, or steal your friend's binoculars and kick them into the ocean. Spending time with friends is the best part of a big walk. A link to the Steam version is here. Lightspeed Studios showed off their project LAST SENTINEL. Set in dystopian Tokyo, this is an open-world action game with a seriously cool trailer. While we don't know much about the game, and haven't seen any gameplay, the trailer sure does look good! What would any game show be without a few Warhammer 40k games? How about the long-awaited Space Marine 2? The game looks awesome from what we've seen so far, and if the first game is any indicator, we'll be romping around in powersuits draining the blood of our foes in religious fervor come Sept, 9th 2024!  Mecha Break is another in a series of new mech games we've been seeing lately. It looks faster-paced than Armored Core IV: Fires of Rubicon, and may be exactly what some mecha lovers need! There was plenty more shown at The Game Awards this year! Al zeventien jaar lang beantwoorden we elke maandag de prangende vragen van de community. Zodat iedereen helemaal gerust en vrij van mentale balast, de werkweek in kan gaan. Heren van dienst zijn vandaag Jasper, Koos & Jelle. Drie heren die heel goed weten hoe je passende antwoorden kan geven vragen. Bijvoorbeeld of er games zijn die we wel willen spelen, maar we niet doorheen komen? En zijn we bang dat een schrijver die van Gears of War komt, de boel vernagelt bij Sony Santa Monica? Gaat dat ooit nog gebeuren of ziet ome Yves dat niet meer zitten? Een leuke vraag is er ook een over vechtsport. In hoeverre heeft vechtsport raakvlakken met ons echte leven? En zien we dat terug in de fighting-games? Worden we volledig zen van die shit? Hopelijk wordt jij wel zen van deze editie van Brievenmaandag.

We had an interesting week filled with a variety of random news stories and discussions that kept us all busy. One topic that's still causing a lot of debate is Starfield and its target frame rate of 30 fps. People have been going back and forth on that one. There's also been talk about games taking longer to develop than ever before. We got some insight into the work of different developers, like the former Sony Santa Monica employees revealing that Sony expects a 90 Metacritic score for their games. And did you know that Titanfall 3 was in development for almost a year? We also heard from Cory Barlog, who shared his thoughts on why games are taking so long nowadays. But that's not all! God of War Ragnarok has been criticized by many as being DLC or being held back by the PS4. Sony Santa Monica has released very little on the game so far but we got a new Next Gen Immersion trailer via the PlayStation YouTube channel yesterday and I think it confirms that God of War Ragnarok will not be held back by the PS4 at all. In our other stories: Gotham Knights continue to build momentum as its release date approaches and @30nStillgaming is going to tell us why the community is divided on the game despite its popularity. The Good the Bad. New World has been on quite a rollercoaster and seems to be at a high point right now and may stay there for some time. @Ginger Prime is going to tell us about next week's big update and why the New World Player population is surging again. DeadSpace Remake gave us another look at its game today. It has its bright spots but collectively as a $70 Next Gen game I am still mostly unimpressed with what they have shown. The big three came to play in the lead-up to and during Tokyo Game Show. Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox all have much to say as we highlight some of our favorite announcements. Zelda finally has a new chapter! Dubbed Tears of the Kingdom, the Breath of the Wild successor looks to wow audiences once again. However, with seemingly the same map, will it hold up to our lofty expectations? We have finally gotten our best look yet at God of War Ragnorak. With a lengthy story trailer, Sony Santa Monica sets the stage for one of the most anticipated games arriving this fall - spoilers, it's gonna be big. Xbox has games, and Japanese ones at that.
