After falling behind 12-0, the Celtics battle back tying the game at 26 at the end of the first, blowing them out in the second and forth quarters coming away with a huge 107-79 win against the Bucks. The lowest the Celtics have held a team scoring this year prior to tonight was 90 points so they blew that out thanks to 3 straight quarters holding them under 20 points! The Celtics lose 114-111 after a corner 3 from Huerter with .2 seconds left on the clock. The Celtics had a lot of opportunities in this game to close out the Bulls but couldn't quite pull through. I can't say I had super high expectations for this game coming off of a 2OT win just yesterday but it still hurts to lose a game that you were in all the way up to the end. The Celtics blow out the Hawks 132-106 behind a 41pt performance from JB and 30pts from Hauser!! This was an absolute offensive masterpiece. The Celtics lose to the Pacers 98-96 in a game of massive runs. JB didn't play tonight so it feels like this was a scheduled loss even against the Pacers but the Celtics were right in this game down the stretch. Pritchard was great in this game and we got a lot from Simons in the 2nd quarter keeping the Celtics afloat. The Celtics beat the Kings 120-106 but this game was much closer than the score shows. The Celtics closed this game out with a 32-18 4th quarter really putting the Kings away. The 4th quarter was powered by 14pts from White and 8 from JB but this was a game that was really controlled by our bench. Hauser and Simons both provided a huge scoring punch with 15pts and 14pts respectively and Garza even chipped in 11. While Baylor and Hugo both only scored 3pts, their imprint was also on this game with their energy. After a tough first quarter where the Celtics gave up 39pts after a 6-6 from 3 start from the Pacers, the Celtics calmed down and blew the doors off the Pacers 140-122. JB scored 30pts continuing his ridiculous run scoring 30+ in 8 straight games which is just 1 shy from tying Larry Bird all time. Hauser balled out hitting his first 7 3s. Pritchard scored 29pts and White scored 21!It may not have started perfectly but the Celtics turned it around quickly out scoring the Pacers 47-22 in the 2nd quarter and never relinquishing the lead after with their largest lead being 28 pts!! The Celtics beat the Pacers 103-95 in a Joe Mazzulla masterclass. Yes, this is a game that the Celtics should win BUT the Celtics did not come out playing well early. They found themselves down by as many as 20 and 3 minutes into the third quarter, Mazzulla pulled all of his starters and the bench goes OFF! They responded with a 10-2 run forcing a Pacers timeout and extended that run to 19-5 forcing another Pacers timeout! Eventually the bench magic ran out and Mazzulla brought his starters back in but instead of being down 20, they were down just 8 and then you had JB who just took over. JB out scored the Pacers 14-13 in the 4th quarter! The Pacers shot a ridiculous 12-20 from 3 in the first half and just 1-20 in the second so there is certainly a bit of luck in there but they do say water finds its level and the Pacers are the worst 3pt shooting team in the NBA so we will take it. The Celtics beat the Raptors 112-96 without JB!!! Pritchard went off for 33pts alongside 8reb and 10ast!!! He had 19pts in the 3rd quarter and was truly unstoppable. In a game where JB isn't there to leave his mark, you need guys to step up and while Pritchard surely did, he wasn't along. This was one of the more impressive wins of the year because of the contributions we got off the bench!Hugo left his mark with his defensive tenacity but also added a 10pt 10reb double double with some monster plays down the stretch. Luka Garza was an absolute monster on the glass also adding a 12pt 10reb double double with his9 Offensive Rebounds!!!! While Simons wasn't super efficient in this game, you also got 15pts from him too so this was a real team effort which you love to see! The Celtics BEAT THE HEAT 129-116 after an impressive 4th quarter stretch with contributions from a lot of guys. Derrick White was Mr Consistent in this game and seemed to hit every big shot imaginable on his way to a 33pt 5reb 6ast game with 9 3pt makes!!! JB, while it was certainly a slow start with just 6pts in the first half, added another 30pt game which he has done in 12 of his last 13 games! On top of his 30pts he also led the team with 9reb and 7ast along with a 10-11 FT performance to make up for last game lol. What makes this win more impressive is the performances we got from our bench. Hauser was 5-6 from 3 with 15pts, Simons added 14pts and Hugo had 10pts 8reb 2stl and a block. Hugo was absolutely key down the stretch on both sides of the ball and it made it impossible to take him out. He ended up with 29 minutes tonight which you just love to see. In Episode 426 Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger visit a pond near a rural farm in Wakefield, New Hampshire. Back in January of 1977 a local farmer found a three-foot circle cut through the thick ice of his small pond. At the bottom of the shallow pond, he saw a strange black cube.
