Meghan Markle unveils As Ever's first Valentine's Day collection, featuring Strawberry Spread now sold on its own, the return of Raspberry Spread, and gift-style bundles with keepsake packaging. U.S. shipping cutoffs are posted for February 2, but the products still aren't available to customers in the United Kingdom, and not everything sold out instantly. We also have a viral-ish unboxing clip from podcast host Dana Bowling, who claims an As Ever candle arrived with no wick, despite instructions that say to trim the wick before lighting.Plus, Heat World claims Harry and Meghan's disagreements follow familiar triggers: the U.K., Harry's relationship to royal life, and how much he's expected to participate in the Hollywood machine. Fox News Digital contributors weigh in on how Spare and the post-royal era continue to shape Harry's role, with some suggesting he risks becoming a supporting character to Meghan's brand strategy. And Closer magazine claims Meghan is unwilling to “play nice” with Queen Camilla, even if security arrangements improve.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
Radar Online claims Queen Camilla is feeling territorial about Kate's future role, with sources alleging palace figures have warned Camilla that Catherine will one day be queen and future “perks and influence” will shift accordingly. The report also links the tension to Kate's headline-grabbing tiara moment at a recent state banquet. Separate reporting says King Charles is pushing senior royals to end the Harry and William feud, with one insider quoting him as saying, “Everyone needs to grow up,” and suggesting Charles is looking to Kate as a steady bridge between the two sides. We also have Kate's solo away day in Bradford and Wakefield, braving Storm Chandra to spotlight children's trauma therapy and community rugby, plus Charles and Camilla hosting Holocaust Memorial Day guests at Buckingham Palace. And finally, the national memorial to Queen Elizabeth the Second gets a design clarification: the main statue will depict her standing, not on horseback.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
Princess Eugenie is said to have completely cut off Prince Andrew, leaving him devastated as Princess Beatrice attempts a careful balancing act. Reports also suggest Andrew is eyeing a Middle East escape while Sarah Ferguson worries about how to maintain her lifestyle. Meanwhile, tensions between Kate and Queen Camilla reportedly shape how Prince George is protected from palace politics, the Royal Family faces fresh diplomatic headaches over Donald Trump and Greenland, and Prince William is forced to give up his beloved e-scooter under Windsor Great Park rules.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
In a rare and quietly powerful moment, Catherine offers a glimpse into her cancer journey during a joint hospital visit with Prince William, telling an NHS volunteer simply, “I know.” The moment resonates — and sharply contrasts with reports of rising tension behind palace doors.According to multiple sources, relations between Catherine and Queen Camilla have deteriorated, with claims of territorial behaviour, lingering resentment, and a growing sense that the Waleses are no longer waiting patiently for the future. Royal insiders say the fallout from the York scandals has only intensified the strain. We also cover a lighter moment that went slightly off the rails as Zara Tindall cringes live on Australian television thanks to one of Mike Tindall's signature jokes — plus a candid listener review questioning the show's Meghan-Harry balance. And yes, Meghan finds her way back in, with British kettle language, Oprah appearances, brand advice, and yet another gentle reminder that trying to do everything at once may be the real problem.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
Explosive new claims reopen the darkest chapter of the House of York. Fresh reporting alleges Sarah Ferguson carried on an affair inside Prince Andrew's private study — while he slept upstairs. The accusations, drawn from multiple books and former household staff, revive memories of the York marriage's spectacular collapse and the Palace's fury at Ferguson's behaviour.Meanwhile, biographer Andrew Lownie says the dam has finally burst. Former protection officers, diplomats, naval figures, and palace insiders are now coming forward daily with new allegations about Andrew, prompting plans for a sequel rather than a simple book update. Sources warn there is now enough material to haunt the monarchy for years, with fears Andrew could ultimately flee abroad if pressure escalates further. We also look at why Lownie's newly announced Prince Philip project has triggered quiet alarm inside royal circles, as well as the contrast on display elsewhere in the family: Catherine releases a deeply personal cancer recovery film marking her birthday, while Queen Camilla promotes the growing reach of her Reading Room charity. As the York scandals resurface yet again, the Palace faces an uncomfortable truth — some ghosts simply refuse to stay buried.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
It's 2006. Tony Blair is the Prime Minister, George W. Bush the US President, the existence of global warming is still up for debate, and a couple of new websites come out of early test versions to open their doors to the world: YouTube and Facebook. Amid all this, in an office on London's South Bank, Mark Hedges takes a new job: Editor of Country Life magazine. Two decades later, Mark has passed an astonishing milestone: he has edited 1,000 issues of the weekly magazine, the only perfect-bound, weekly glossy magazine in Britain. That's 20 years of magnificent architecture, beautiful houses, exquisite gardens, breathtaking nature, pithy columnists, and lots and lots of dogs — to name but a small selection. It seemed only fitting, then, that we invite the boss back on to the Country Life Podcast. Mark speaks to James Fisher about his unusual route in to the world of magazines, the unflinching war veteran who taught him the hard way how to polish a headline, the incomparable experience of working alongside HM King Charles, Queen Camilla, The Princess Royal and Sir David Beckham on guest-edited issues of Country Life, and how magazines — and journalism in general — will still have a part to play in an AI-driven future. It's a fascinating episode which lifts the lid on what it's like to spend decades on a magazine that's become a national institution. We hope you enjoy it.EPISODE CREDITSHost: James FisherGuest: Mark HedgesEditor and producer: Toby KeelMusic: JuliusH via Pixabay Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Sarah Ferguson is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons — again. Reports claim Fergie sent desperate Christmas messages to senior royals, apologising for past scandals at a moment insiders say was wildly misjudged. We look at why those overtures landed badly, and why invoking regret alongside the Epstein saga only deepened Palace irritation. Then, a resurfaced email photographed on Jeffrey Epstein's desk raises fresh questions about unpaid wages, money troubles, and why correspondence involving Sarah and Prince Andrew was sitting in Epstein's home years later. Add mounting debts at Ferguson's struggling lifestyle brand, new claims she's pressuring Queen Camilla, and reports of panic behind the scenes — and the Yorks' financial reality looks increasingly bleak. We also examine how Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are being used as the family's last remaining bridge to respectability, why Royal Lodge is no longer an inheritance option, and a BBC investigation into millions Andrew received through the controversial sale of Sunninghill Park. The Palace has managed difficult relatives before — but this situation is testing even its legendary patience.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.

Fresh reports suggest tensions are growing between Meghan Markle and Netflix, with insiders claiming the streamer has firmly blocked her from moving into a directing role on upcoming projects. Sources allege Meghan pushed aggressively for creative control, prompting what one insider described as a blunt refusal. The scrutiny continues as Archewell Productions faces criticism over new projects, including a romantic comedy adaptation and a documentary, both accused by commentators of blurring the line between storytelling and personal grievance. Meanwhile, the New York Post has named With Love, Meghan among the worst television shows of the year, branding it “bland nothingness.”Behind the scenes, communications chief Meredith Maines has exited after less than a year, becoming the latest in a long line of Sussex PR departures. The Wales children greeted crowds, with Prince Louis providing the day's lightest moment by proudly claiming a giant chocolate gift during the walkabout.Across the Atlantic, Meghan shared a glimpse of a low-key family Christmas in a holiday message, while the contrast between Sandringham tradition and California calm underlined just how divided the modern royal Christmas has become.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.

Meghan Markle is back in the satirical firing line as Spitting Image mocks her As Ever marmalade as “woke,” with a Paddington-style bear warning she is “on my turf now.” Meanwhile, mixed reporting fuels the usual “are they going back” drama: one set of sources claims Meghan would only consider a UK return “for the right price,” while Rob Shuter insists she has “zero intention” of moving the children back across the Atlantic. Megyn Kelly piles on with fresh criticism of the Sussexes' post-royal branding, as commentators debate whether their Hollywood clout is fading. After the break, Queen Camilla faces a Christmas without both of her children this year, continues her long-running Buckingham Palace tree-decorating tradition for seriously ill children, and admits binge-watching Rivals helped her recover from pneumonia. Plus, new photos from Clarence House offer a rare look at the King's private world, including a prominently placed picture of Charles holding Prince George at his christening—and a reminder of how distant he remains from Archie and Lilibet.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
The Daily Mail's Richard Eden reports on “Project Thaw,” a supposed effort to soften the Sussex freeze, with Harry's security review framed as part of a wider plan that could include UK schooling for the children—prompting a pointed response from royal insider Deep Crown about the logistics and emotional reality. New claims also swirl about tension between Queen Camilla and Catherine over whether Harry deserves any path back, while separate reporting suggests Kate's friendship with Sarah Ferguson is being watched closely amid worries about leaks. Overseas, Sweden's Royal Court confirms Princess Sofia was introduced to Jeffrey Epstein around 2005, stressing she declined a Caribbean invitation and has had no contact for 20 years. We also spot a small but loaded detail at Clarence House: family photos on display include images tied to Harry and Meghan's wedding and Louis's christening. And in a new ITV documentary, King Charles speaks candidly about climate, legacy, and the world his grandchildren will inherit—Steve Backshall's Royal Arctic Challenge airs on ITV1 at 9pm.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
King Charles and Queen Camilla have been invited to Washington, DC for a State Visit in April at President Trump's request, though the King's health may determine whether he travels. William and Kate are expected to visit the United States in July for America's 250th anniversary, while Harry and Meghan are not expected to take part in any commemorations. Questions are again being asked about royal finances as scrutiny turns to Prince Edward's long-term lease of Bagshot Park. Charles donates £50,000 of his own money toward urgent roof repairs at West Newton Church, a site closely linked to Queen Elizabeth the Second. A Brazilian self-styled “Living Nostradamus” offers dramatic predictions about royal health, family reconciliation, and even Meghan's relationship with Netflix. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor prepares for an eventual move from Royal Lodge and faces uncertainty over where the late Queen's corgis will live. Princess Anne hosts a Christmas tea for veterans, earning praise from guests aged 100 and older. And Mike and Zara Tindall shut down speculation about appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, confirming they'll instead spend Christmas at Sandringham — though perhaps avoiding certain family members.Hear our new show "Crown and Controversy: Prince Andrew" here.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
