Reposted from Wax Episodic, which you can find at: https://podcastica.com/podcast/wax-episodic — We're happy to see Carol finally start asking some questions and intrigued by the answers. Other Wax Episodic shows: Consider trying one of these other intelligent, engaging, oftentimes delightfully twisted shows that we cover on this very podcast: Fallout (Amazon): A crazy retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic melange of wholesomeness and depravity. One of the best looking shows on TV, funny as hell, violent AF (but in a cartoony way), and with a great cast, including Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Walton Goggins (The White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones). Not to be missed! Hosted by Jason, Kara, and Kasi. IT: Welcome to Derry (HBO): A fun, scary, and surprisingly great prequel to the 2016 and 2019 IT movies, Pennywise stalks the children of 1962 Derry. A mix of heart, mystery, charm, and some shockingly disturbing Nightmare on Elme Street-esque horror. Cohosted by Shawn of Strange Indeed. Alien: Earth (FX): From the brilliant Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion), this one really scratches that sci-fi itch. A greedy corporate tech overlord transfers the consciousness of a group of terminally ill children into highly performant synth bodies. And the Xenomorph is in it, too. Also, Tim Olyphant! We break down the psychology behind Zosia's seduction tactics, from the stargazing to that shocking kiss, and debate whether this is perfect manipulation or if Zosia is actually compromised by genuine feelings. Did Manousos just walk into the trap of a lifetime? Welcome back to the deepest dive into the shadowy world of *Pluribus*! Episode 7, titled "The Gap," delivers seismic shifts that threaten to unravel everything we thought we knew about the core relationships in this terrifying dystopia. The episode's title is truly apt, highlighting the growing chasm between perception and reality, and the emotional distance characters are desperately trying to bridge, or exploit. The central, most heart-stopping plotline revolves around Manousos, who initiates a truly dangerous and arguably crazy trek to meet Carol. We dissect why this decision feels like a literal death sentence. But the biggest revelation lies with the enigmatic Carol. For the first time, we see the cracks form in her impenetrable facade. The dangerous truth about Carol isn't just her manipulative nature; it's the raw, undeniable realization of her own profound loneliness and sadness.Don't miss our full character breakdown and deep dive into the underlying themes of trust and betrayal.
UNSTOPPABLE LOVE Float hosts Lauren and Zosia - hOw. aRE. yoU?!
Pluribus just leveled up hard with episodes 4 ("Please, Carol") and 5 ("Got Milk"). Episode 4 pulls Carol deeper into morally questionable territory when she drugs Zosia with truth serum to extract intel on reversing the Joining. The Joined can't lie, so Carol exploits that vulnerability without hesitation. It's ruthless, clever, and leaves Zosia collapsing at the end in a gut punch of a cliffhanger. Then episode 5 isolates Carol completely. The Joined abandon her in Albuquerque, leaving her utterly alone in a city buzzing with invisible hivemind chatter. Her investigation into the strange milk substance spirals into full detective mode, and the final reveal under that tarp is one of the creepiest moments of the season.Vince Gilligan keeps tightening the screws, and Rhea Seehorn is crushing it as Carol navigates loneliness, paranoia, and ethical free fall. The atmosphere is suffocating in the best way, and every episode raises more questions than it answers. What did Carol see? What is the milk really for? Drop your theories below and subscribe for breakdowns as the finale approaches!
This episode goes from “grief spiral” to “science experiment” to “full-blown ethics crisis.” In Pluribus Episode 4 (“The Truth Is In Here”), Carol takes control — but at what cost? As she searches for a way to stay human in a world run by a hivemind, her tactics grow more reckless, manipulative, and possibly lethal.Brandon & Chanel break it all down:The intro of Manousos Oviedo: starving, proud, and armed with a radioCarol's grenade wish vs. hive logistics: satire or sci-fi logic fail? That fake Whole Foods restock — symbolic excess or narrative stretch?Larry and the hive's honesty test: the Shakespeare of romantasy?!What Helen really thought of Carol's books (oof)Carol injecting herself with Sodium Thiopental to uncover her subconscious truth — and what that recording revealsThe betrayal of Zosia: drugged without consent, dragged from the hospital, and pushed into cardiac arrestThe horror of Carol handcuffing herself to Zosia, crying “agency” while denying someone else theirsWhy Carol's actions blur the line between freedom fighter and selfish villainWith Rhea Seehorn delivering a devastating performance and the script poking at the ethics of autonomy, grief, and identity in the face of collective control, Episode 4 asks the most harrowing question yet: Does Carol actually want to save the world — or just preserve herself?
In this episode of Needs Some Introduction, Victor and Sona delve deep into the fourth episode of 'Pluribus,' titled 'Please Carol'. In news, the hosts discuss the recent TV show renewals and the intriguing bidding war between Netflix, HBO, Paramount, and Comcast for HBO's content. Detailed analysis of the episode covers Manuso's struggle for survival in Paraguay, Carol's quest to understand the unified consciousness, and the cliffhanger involving Zosia's fate. Broader themes such as the potential evolution of the hive mind and the importance of individualism are also explored. Speculation on future episodes includes the potential meeting of Manuso and Carol and the possibility of a cure for the unified consciousness.
Cat and Pat are joined this week by special guest Zosia Mamet! They discuss Zosia's upbringing as a horse girl and she explains the differences between horses, mini horses, and ponies. Working with a spouse or partner can be tough, but with the right systems in place and a clear vision for your future together, you can also create a healthy business relationship. On this episode of Zen and the Art of Real Estate Investing, Jonathan sits down with Tyler and Zosia Madden, the CEO and COO of Laurelless. They are real estate investors, entrepreneurs, and professional home flippers. Tyler is a general contractor and the visionary, whereas Zosia is the integrator. Jonathan, Tyler, and Zosia begin their conversation by exploring how Tyler started as an aspiring doctor and pivoted to become a general contractor and why Zosia maintained her high-income W-2 position as they started their entrepreneurial endeavors. You'll hear when Zosia was ready to get on board with leaving her job and becoming a part of their business, Zosia and Tyler's mutual goal of using real estate to achieve the lifestyle they both desired, and why making the right connections helped them find new properties and learn from others. Tyler and Zosia share their reliance on authenticity to create connections with others, their advice for first-time flippers in this challenging market, and why new flippers need to build good relationships with their subcontractors. Finally, Tyler and Zosia share how they keep their personal relationship strong even amidst business conflicts and failures. For many couples, working together may feel like a recipe for disaster, but Tyler and Zoia Madden discovered the secret sauce to establishing boundaries at work and home so that they could continue moving toward their shared goals for their family. In this episode, you will hear: How Tyler and Zosia Madden's real estate career started with Tyler working solo and ultimately became a dual endeavor Why Zosia maintained her W-2 as they started their real estate investing business and the benefits it offered Zosia's realization that she trusted where the business was going and loved the idea of it, particularly after becoming a mom The role of proof of concept in getting a spouse on board Using real estate as a couple to achieve the lifestyle that they want to live Making the right connections to find new properties and learn from them Being comfortable with being uncomfortable and getting into rooms with people who are smarter than you Maintaining authenticity to build genuine connections with others Moving past imposter syndrome and how having just a bit of it can help you continue to learn from others Earning the ability to ask someone for their time and knowledge while being meaningful, intentional, and interested Flipping homes in today's market and Tyle and Zosia's tips for first-timers who don't know much Building relationships with your subcontractors and suppliers who will take care of you because you take care of them JV'ing on a flip with someone else to learn from them how to do a flip Keeping your personal relationship strong when the business side of things feels like it's falling apart Follow and Review: We'd love for you to follow us if you haven't yet. Michael Luke LitwakTake a walk with me down Fascination Street as I get to know Michael Luke Litwak. Michael is the writer & director of the new science fiction romantic comedy (sci-fi-rom-com); Molli and Max in the Future. This film stars Zosia Mamet and Aristotle Athari, and debuted at the SXSW film festival. In this episode, we chat about shat made Michael want to become a filmmaker, and why he chose to study at NYU Tisch. Then we get into his film making career. He started with several short films before his first feature film, Molli and Max in the Future. Michael shares some of his behind the scenes process with regard to some of the practical effects used in this fantasy space love story. Michael also lets us in on a little secret about putting the final touches on the film just days before its SXSW debut. Of course I ask him how Zosia and Aristotle came to be in the picture, and what he hopes this inventive film will do for his career going forward.Be sure to check out Molli and Max in the Future, streaming everywhere!
