Tom and Andy discuss Scotland in the Six Nations with Warriors' fly half Adam Hastings
With the Autumn Internationals done and dusted its back to the league clashes as Max's Bristol Bears put on a delicious display or running rugby to outshine Joe Marler on his big day.But what about the build up, how do rugby players get ready for such big matches? Nandos? Did you say Nandos? In any case the game was amazing but what happened between Gabi Ibitoye and Joe Marler? We break down a fabulous contest at the Stoop. We also put the final test match between Ireland and Australia under the microscope. Have Ireland peaked? Who was the Wallabies Man of Tour? Can Prendergast and Crowley ever emulate Johnny Sexton? Do Ireland deserve to make up the bulk of the Lions? Questions that need to be answered. Then it's onto a round up of the Premiership with some big couple of results while over in the URC, Edinburgh almost blow a 35 point lead... Plus friend of the show Adam Hastings suffers a nasty injury, which makes us sad. Then the big one.... It's the Maul or Nothing Champions Cup Preview and there are some seriously tasty ties to look ahead to... From a biased perspective none more so than Bristol vs Leinster where the boys will finally be reunited. We even have a chance to discuss the RFU Bill Sweeney pay scandal.Lots of lols and lots of love for listening and watching. We love you! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Sorry we've been away for a week but all will be explained in the pod.... The boys are back to break down the utterly fascinating clash between England and New Zealand as well as a far more one sided affair as Scotland and Fiji went head to head at Murrayfield. So, what do the fellas think of all the mud being thrown at George Ford? Is it warranted (it's not) what positives can this team take from another loss to the All Blacks. Is Steve Borthwick to blame for the defeat by trying not to lose rather than trying to win with his substitutions? What about New Zealand, is there a slipperier winger in world rugby right now than Mark Tele'a. How will the kiwis deal with taking on Ireland on Friday?Lots of hot takes on the early England celebrations (surprise surprise Ryan and Max disagree vehemently), whether the new trial laws are working and above all the hooha from the Haka controversy.Up in Scotland it was a much easier ride for the hosts, who thrashed an out of sorts Fiji team that had Ryan Willisonni as conflicted as you'll ever see him... especially as he was spotted in the official Fiji Autumn Internationals team photos (WTF?!!?)The new duel between the double DD's..... Duhan van der Merwe and Darcy Graham.... the record extenders and also an absolutely filthy piece of skill from our old pal Adam Hastings. But what next for Fiji, will the big guns returning manage to reunite our favourite second nation?and how about the Danny Care book spilling all the beans on the Eddie Jones era.... we'd heard a few anecdotes on the show but what do the boys think about all the revelations?Lots of fun to be had, we hope you enjoy it and as always, thanks for listening and watching we love you! It's a bumper show with 2 of Rugby's silkiest stars looking ahead to the most mouthwatering weekend of European Action. Aphele takes us through The Shark infested waters of a tricky URC season where Europe has been their only relief. It's why Friday's showdown has such an added dimension, it's the be all or end all for both The Sharks and their opponents Gloucester. Aphele also relives his dream debut for the Springboks. I mean has there ever been a better first touch in the history international rugby? We also hear what it means for him and his family to be a Springbok. Meanwhile Hasto gives us an update on everything to do with Blair Kinghorn. It's funny that Blair spent most of our recent catch up telling us all about Hasto…. Ah the star crossed lovers. We hear about the significance of this redemptive match at Tottenham Hotspur's Stadium, the fallout from that drubbing at the hands of the Saints and his move to Glasgow. Will Hasto's GF be joining him or will golf with Ryan be too time consuming? In terms of the boys, Max's season comes to an end but not before we wax lyrical about his try scoring prowess and London being painted Bears over the weekend. Ryan continues to play golf 0:30 - Max's season is over 10:32 - Beven Rodd's dive and the ones that went (over) before! 12:10 - Max bagged another meat pie! 20:50 - URC Roundup 26:39 - Wolfcraig Distillery's exclusive offer for Maul Or Nothing listeners; https://wolfcraig.com/maul-or-nothing-wolfpack-membership/ 28:01 - Aphelele Fassi 43:32 - Aphelele's Springbok debut & future 53:25 - Adam Hastings
It's a tough one this week…. Max reflects on Bristol's European exit, which has the boys googling therapy dogs…. Luckily Ryan spent the weekend working at Gloucester, he tries to persuade Zach Mercer to apply for Scottish citizenship but breaks his dry January on the town with Adam Hastings, Leone Nakarawa and Niko Matawalu. The Saints show their champions credentials… which Smith do you prefer though for the Six Nations, Finn or Marcus. Speaking of Finns, Ryan's pal is the new Co captain of Scotland. What will he be like…. And what will it be like for Jamie Ritchie now? There's a Champions Cup roundup and what to look forward to in the last 16, as well as some complete guess work predictions
We catch up with Toulouse's latest star signing, the back three sensation that is Blair Kinghorn. We find out that he thought he was off to Toulon and all about his first taste of French team showers and how he measured up. He also talks us through the manic pre match warm up with Antoine Dupont. It's intense but it might not be quite what you think…. We get an insight into the real Blair Kinghorn as he enters Max's Minds of Moria quizzing. It gets weird but then again Max and Blair are weird so it works. Most importantly he spills the beans on a British and Irish Lion who the elite rugby playing world has renamed for a hilarious reason. Oh and he misses Adam Hastings so spends hours with his Zoom lover.

Tom and Andy chat with Scotland and Gloucester fly-half Adam Hastings about his 'hellish' 18 month recovery from injury and an unusual present: - a visit to a witch doctor.
The boys are back in Bristol sitting down with Adam Hastings for a costume, frolic filled Christmas special. They discuss fabulous Christmas gifts, the time Ryan and Hasto fell asleep in a club… with Ryan's parents…and the randomness of writing off your car… Getting stuck into this weeks theme of Tours, we hear about onsens, shavings, Argentine dive bars / super clubs and who are the best (and worst) room mates... And like all good Christmas parties it naturally finishes with a silly game and chilly shots!
This week, Realcomm Live welcomes guests Lisa Stanley, CEO of OSCRE International and Adam Hastings, Chief Data Officer at Hines to discuss details about the Environmental Data Standards Project and the imperative that real estate organizations move quickly to develop an effective approach to environmental data. The project takes a platform-agnostic approach, providing organizations an opportunity to accelerate their progress towards better strategies and practices for environmental data management and decision making – and a head start in implementation.
Hugh Woozencroft, Rachael Burford and Alex Goode are joined by Scotland and Gloucester winger Adam Hastings to unpick the dramatic reappointment of Warren Gatland as Wales Head Coach, replacing Wayne Pivak in the role. Meanwhile, Eddie Jones' future as England boss hangs in the balance, with rife speculation suggesting his imminent departure - the team discuss how we got here and what might happen next in this fast-moving saga. We preview the European Championships which kick off this coming weekend with South African teams joining for the first time, while Adam is grilled on Scotland's Six Nations chances, 50 yard drop goals and rugby's biggest fake tan culprits. Finally, there's more chat on the sport's hardest lads, iconic classic jerseys and our listeners Pass It On to another community club.
Gloucester sneak another tight affair away to London Irish thanks to a worldy of a drop goal by Adam Hastings. The lads discuss the win and our increasing ability to close out wins, although are slightly worried about the lack of structure in the backs. We also chat about the Red Roses qualification for the Quarter Finals at the Women's World Cup, the Rugby League World Cup and the 'differing' interpretation around high tackles plus the three new young talents joining Glaws from Worcester. Ed Price Jim Harley Lawrence Landray Russ Brookes
Chris Jones makes his return to the pod after six long weeks. He joins Ugo and Danny to discuss Adam Hastings' outrageous drop goal for Gloucester, Finn Russell being dropped by Gregor Townsend and international captaincy. Danny has plenty to say about Saracens and what Alex Goode is like on a night out. There's a first win of the season for Bath and we have some exciting pod news ahead of the autumn internationals.
Today we're joined by Jake Polledri to discuss his long awaited return to professional rugby, after 2 years out with a potentially career ruining injury the Italian international is back and hungry to make an impact both domestically for Gloucester and The Azurri. We hear about how dark the last 2 years have been for him, including losing his brother to a sudden cardiac arrest on a night out, but also his excitement to finally be back out competing once more. He recalls crazy stories with Sergio Parisse, messy Italian initiations, destroying Ryan Wilson on debut, the Gloucester milk challenge, taking down Kieran Read, the challenges of Italian rugby, and Adam Hastings weird obsession with his sister. Plus the lads do a full breakdown on the craziness of the weekends premiership action including that ridiculous Harlequins game and of course reflect on the rugby championship - whereby they brand the New Zealand side as 'the worst to ever win the title' - loads of laughs, analysis and fun as always. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This week the lads are joined by Gloucester and Scotland Fly Half (and the whitest tegs in rugby) Adam Hastings after his side turned around their biggest ever deficit to beat Wasps 27-21 on Sunday. Jim and Goodey round up all the action from the first weekend of the Premiership season, including Gengey's phenomenal performance for Bristol. We look ahead to the start of the URC and Jim's got a confession to make... Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Everyone loves a good rivalry and it doesn't come any better than England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales fighting it out to become Six Nations champions (alongside France and Italy) so we decided to unite BBC Radio Wales', ‘Scrum V' pod and the 'Radio Scotland Rugby Podcast' with our very own Rugby Union Daily to get a unique take on what the home nations are getting up to ahead of the competition. Chris Jones is joined by Gareth Rhys Owen and Tom English to get the lowdown on what we can expect from the teams and they boldly make predictions as to who will come out on top on the weekend. Not only that they discuss why you can never rule out Wales, if Johnny Sexton is super human, England's captain conundrum and if Tom has found his brain after Adam Hastings was left out of the Scotland squad.
Danny quizzes Ashy about when he's going to be back in a Worcester shirt and they discuss what Saracens' new investment could mean for the rest of the Premiership. Scotland fly-half Adam Hastings joins the pod to talk about life at Gloucester, living with Chris Harris and his new toothbrush. The South African teams struggle to make an impact in the URC and will we see Gareth Anscombe back in a Wales shirt this autumn?
Jon goes back to his roots (and drags Pat along) as they're joined by Jon's childhood pals Adam Hastings and Chad Scott to discuss Underoath's album "Define the Great Line," a classic in Christian music and the hardcore/metalcore genres. The gang discusses why the album's style and lyrical themes appealed to them when the album came out 15 years ago—and how Underoath managed to achieve so much mainstream success outside a Christian audience. Plus, Pat learns about the many ways Christian kids find workarounds to discover cool music, and he hears about a scandal involving an illicit trip to see X-Men 3 in theaters. Could there be more Welsh news on St David's Day? We've got Andy McGeady and Sean Holley welcome Paul Eddison and Simon Thomas of the WalesOnline to discuss the Guinness Six Nations, Cardiff's name change and a packed weekend of action from the Guinness PRO14 and much, much further away in Super Rugby land. Name changer: Cardiff Blues will be no more from August, with Cardiff Rugby the new name for the Welsh region going forward. Sean and Simon talk us through what is a major move by the team Slam surprise? Wales are now triple crown winners and needs wins against Italy and France to capture a Grand Slam in the Six Nations that nobody would have thought possible back in November. But…how did the officiating impact Saturday's win over England and what about World Rugby referee chief Joel Jutge's admission of the errors? Will France be ready to face Wales in Round 5? Les Bleus have been downed by Covid, but they must prove their bubble won't burst again. Paul Eddison explains what's happened so far Ireland cruise in Italy, but will this young Azzurri team be better in the long-term despite their results so far? Leinster's BP win over Glasgow (we'll touch on the Adam Hastings' red card) means they could make it impossible for Ulster to beat them to top spot in Conference A if they win this weekend Zebre are up to the heady position of 4th but Benetton are denied a first win of the season after a resilient Connacht strike late Edinburgh and Scarlets play out a cracker, but Sean can't fathom how Richard Cockerill's team didn't win! Staying in Conference B, Munster can seal their place in the Guinness PRO14 final with a win over Connacht this weekend Oh, and Ospreys have a new CEO. Over to you Sean! The Autumn Internationals have ended with stellar campaigns for Ireland and Wales, England unearthed some raw talent, and Scotland will have their heads high too. With Brian Moore to discuss the final weekend of action is Telegraph writer Mick Cleary. Brian and Mick discuss the potential of a Joe Cockanasiga, Ben Te'o and Manu Tuilagi backline for England, the emergence of Kyle Sinckler, and Mark Wilson's sensational campaign. Joining them to discuss England is Ben Ryan, twice World Champion and Olympic Gold medal winning coach, who says Elliot Daly needs to be playing at outside centre and is the best in the world there. Ben also tells us more about Cockanasiga, they discuss who England should be playing at wing, and we also tip our caps to Fiji's stunning victory over France. With the announcement that Joe Schmidt is leaving Ireland after the World Cup, Joe and Brian discuss whether we are going to see an Andy Farrell and Stuart Lancaster coaching set up in the future, and they discuss whether Ireland can cope without Johnny Sexton in their ranks. Hear from Scott Hastings, former Scotland and Lions centre, whose nephew Adam Hastings faced Argentina at the weekend as part of a trialled axis with Finn Russell at 12 as Scotland ground out a victory over Los Pumas. Another former Lion joins the show in the shape of Wales' number 8 Michael Owen to discuss his former side's fantastic form and which new players we should be looking out for in the future. Plus, Maggie Alphonsi updates on the Red Roses' final match against Ireland and Gavin Mairs dials in from Monaco to tells us about the World Rugby Awards. One of the most talented comics in the Orange County area is Adam Hastings, I have not only interviewed Adam but I have extended an invitation to the comedy aliance. Upon the Godfather, Evan's approval Adam will be admitted into said alliance and amazing things will then commence. Listen to history in the making and fun conversation with a great comic.
