Lékařka okamžitě reagovala a muže si pozvala do své ordinace.
Má 353 obyvatel a její katastrální výměra činí 1628 ha.

Michal Thomes a Suki začínali s festivaly před desítkami let s minimem zkušeností a bez peněz. Svými muzikantskými zkušenostmi a písněmi přispěl i Pokáč. Festivaly nejsou jen hudba. Jsou to příběhy, setkání a tvrdá práce – a právě to bylo témate, druhého setkání pod názvem Headliner půda v Malostranské besedě. Hosty byli Michal Thomes (Rock for People), Zdeněk "Suki" Souček (Let It Roll) a Pokáč. Nejdřív to byly reggae festivaly. „Všechno jsem dělal sám – stavěl stage, natahoval plachty, zvučil kapely. Spal jsem čtyři hodiny a pak sbíral odpadky," popisuje začátky. „První Let It Roll jsme udělai v klubu Mlejn. Let It Roll prošel podobnou proměnou. "V roce 2013 jsme se přesunuli do Benešova, začali investovat do designu stage a booking zahraničních DJů. Najednou jsme byli jediný vícedenní open-air festival pro drum and bass na světě," vysvětluje Suki. A ve světě skutečně zazářili, dnes na Let It Roll míří až 80 % zahraničních návštěvníků a má i britského partnera a úspěšné zahraniční edice.Česká festivalová scéna na světové mapěRock for People i Let It Roll se během let staly respektovanými značkami na evropské festivalové scéně. S profesionalizací si to vyžádalo i další kroky. „Když jsme vstoupili do evropské festivalové asociace, otevřelo nám to dveře k lepšímu bookingu a spolupráci se zahraničními agenty,“ vysvětluje Thomes.Let It Roll má dnes reputaci největšího drum and bass festivalu na světě.
Since moving to Somerset 10 years ago, I have been heading to the Beckford Inn's in search of satiating that sense of true countryside; Heartening red wine, tasty food, cosy fires and those interiors that makes you feel like you're back where you belong. Witnessing more pubs open by The Beckford Group over the years, it's clear that they have a knack for knowing when it's right, and an eye for how to do it well. And then of course, there's Bramley, the bath and body brand, and perfect sister brand, with 23 products on offer as well as a treatment cabin ay their Longleat site, The Bath Bath Arms!Having spent a lot of my annual income in one or another of their pubs, I was excited to meet the brains. We talk about values, when to thinkwhen thinking's too much, we talk about community, connection and also the role a pub has in our villages. So today, I welcome co-founder Dan Brod and founder of Bramley, Chloe Luxton. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Petr Brod grew up in a German-speaking Jewish family in communist Prague, soon learning it was wiser to converse in Czech in public. Brod fulfilled his ambition of becoming a journalist following a move to West Germany in his late teens, and found considerable success; after a stint at the BBC that saw him work on some of its top political shows, he joined Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, which posted him to his hometown when the Velvet Revolution ushered in democracy in Czechoslovakia. When we spoke Brod, today 73, also discussed his friendship with protest singer Karel Kryl – and what might have happened if the Sudeten Germans had not been expelled after the war.

Franz Kafka died 100 years ago and if it were up to him none of his writings were to have survived as he asked his friend Max Brod to gather it all and destroy it. Brod gathered Kafka's writings and documents, but never burned them. Many ended up in the hands of the National Library of Israel which has now put the on display at a new exhibition called “Kafka: Metamorphosis of An Author.” Reporter Arieh O'Sullivan spoke about the exhibition with Stefan Litt, Curator of the Humanities Collection and archivist for the Kafka collection. A provocative, irreverent biography of Anton Szandor LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan, BORN WITH A TAIL chronicles a time when Americans welcomed a macabre showman into their living rooms via The Tonight Show, before a ginned-up hysteria known as the Satanic Panic would put a target on his shiny, shaven head. When Anton LaVey burst onto the San Francisco scene right before the Summer of Love, he parlayed his eerie obsessions into a philosophy and lifestyle that capitalized on a New Age rage. With his signature cape, horn-studded hood, and Ming the Merciless beard, LaVey was a media-savvy provocateur who took what he did seriously, but was always in on the joke. From a spooky old house on an otherwise unremarkable street, he founded the Church of Satan, where young women squirmed nude on the mantel of his ritual chamber as he delivered a doctrine of self-deification and indulgence that combined the writings of Ayn Rand, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Aleister Crowley with the pulpy fictions of H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard.Later, his bestselling book The Satanic Bible (still in print since 1969) struck an ominous chord with both the hip and the alienated-the fringe dwellers who were goth before there were goths. But LaVey's influence could be felt far beyond his flock, namely in the nightmarish and supernatural entertainment that dominated pop culture in the 1970s and continues to make an impact today. He was a musical prodigy who attracted a cluster of stars into his orbit, including Jayne Mansfield and Sammy Davis Jr. But living like a real-life Gomez Addams, complete with a full-grown pet lion, came at an awful price. Deeply researched and featuring dozens of new interviews, as well as recently unearthed personal correspondence and church records, BORN WITH A TAIL: The Devilish Life and Wicked Times of Anton Szandor LaVey, Founder of the Church of Satan separates the facts from the fabrications of this uniquely American character's extraordinary life.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

Hail Satan! It's spooky season, and writer/editor Doug Brod joins the show to celebrate his fantastic new biography, BORN WITH A TAIL: The Devilish Life and Wicked Times of Anton Szandor LaVey, Founder of the Church of Satan (Hachette). We talk about the line between huckster and believer, the history of the Church of Satan, why Doug didn't want to puncture the mythology LaVey built around his life, and the fun of writing a chapter about Sammy Davis Jr. exploring Satanism. We also get into how LaVey's philosophy of self-deification and aesthetics managed to penetrate American culture, how Doug balanced reporting & cultural history for the book, the people he wishes he could've interviewed, how LaVey reveled in spreading his gospel to the post-punk/'zine generation in the '90s, what it takes to create one's own aesthetic world while still going out to Olive Garden, Doug's first book about '70s hard rock, and what it means to consider Satan as metaphor rather than incarnated being, and more. Oh man, Sabaton's Joakim Brodén is back on the show! He joins us this week to promote the theatrical release of Sabaton's “The Tour To End All Tours” flick showing exclusively in North American theaters on October 30 and 31! Our discussion begins with the pre-planning that went into the concert film, if the plan will ever release worldwide, and the chances of a band member surprising fans at a screening. We also chat about their current North American with Judas Priest and if he feels Sabaton can keep it going into their 70's. Naturally, there's also discussion on the most iconic war film and documentary in Brodén's opinion, and a soft timeline on new music. Petar and Jozalyn discuss Mexican Coke leaving Fentanyl because they didn't mix well on tour, Forbes magazine listing the 38 top metal bands and our thoughts on the fact that no bands that are less than 20 years old made that list and why, James Hetfield not thinking that Metallica are a legacy band, and Gene Simmons hurting people's feelings by being Gene Simmons on network TV. When Franz Kafka died in 1924, his loyal friend Max Brod could not bring himself to fulfill Kafka's last instruction: to burn his remaining manuscripts. Instead, Brod devoted his life to championing Kafka's work, rescuing his legacy from both obscurity and physical destruction. Nearly a century later, an international legal battle erupted to determine which country could claim ownership: the Jewish state, where Kafka dreamed of living, or Germany, where Kafka's three sisters perished in the Holocaust? In Kafka's Last Trial: The Case of a Literary Legacy (Norton, 2019), Benjamin Balint offers a gripping account of the controversial trial in Israeli courts—brimming with dilemmas legal, ethical, and political—that determined the fate of Kafka's manuscripts. Benjamin Balint, a fellow at the Van Leer Institute in Jerusalem, is the author most recently of Bruno Schulz: An Artist, a Murder, and the Hijacking of History (Norton), winner of a National Jewish Book Award. His book Kafka's Last Trial (Norton) won the Sami Rohr Prize and has been translated into a dozen languages. He is also the co-author, with Merav Mack, of Jerusalem: City of the Book (Yale). Ryan Brod is a seasoned writer whose essays have graced the pages of numerous prestigious publications. Recently, he achieved another milestone with the publication of his first book, "Tributaries." However, Ryan's connection to the outdoors runs deep. Growing up surrounded by the hunting and fishing culture of the Belgrade Lakes region, he learned about fishing from his father, a generational guide. This upbringing shaped his path, leading him to become a Maine Guide in his early twenties. Today, Ryan shares his passion for both storytelling and the natural world as a teacher of first-year writing and creative nonfiction at the University of New England. His experiences range from guiding inexperienced New Yorkers on frozen lakes to pursuing giant tarpons in the waters of Florida. In this episode of Anchored, we discuss fishing in Maine, how to fly fish from a canoe, fishing for carp in tidal waters, what makes us hunters (as anglers), choosing passion over profit in this day and age, and more.
