Binaenaleyh küfür bir nevi ölüm, kâfirler de "ölüler" kabul edilince, hidayet bir nevî hayat, hidayete erenlerde "diri kimseler" kabul edilmiştir. Küfür (inkâr), bir nevi ölüm kabul edilmiştir. Çünkü o bir cehalet(bilgisizlik)tir ve cehalet şaşkınlık ile durmayı gerektirir. Bundan dolayı küfür, hareketsiz kalmayı gerektirenbir ölüm gibi olmuş olur. Ölen kimse de tıpkı bunun gibi, herhangi bir şeye ulaşıp onu elde edemez. Cahil de,bir çeşit ölü gibidir. Hidayet ise, bir ilim ve basirettir. İlim ve basiret, kurtuluşa erme ve rüşd sebebidir.Kâfirin durumu ayette, "İçinden çıkamaz bir şekilde karanlıklarda kalan kişi gibi mi?" ifadesi ile anlatılmıştır.Âyetteki, “içinden çıkamaz" ifadesinde şu şekilde aklî bir incelik vardır: Bir şey devamlı olarak başka birşeyle birlikte bulunursa, o onun kendisi ve ondan ayrılmayan bir sıfatı gibi olur. Binaenaleyh kâfir devamlıcehalet ve kötü ahlâk karanlıkları içinde olursa, o karanlıklar, sanki kendisinden uzaklaştırılamayan zatı veayrılmaz sıfatları gibi olur. Bu hale düşmekten Allah'a sığınırız. Hem sonra karanlıklar içerisinde kalan kimse,faydasına olan herhangi bir şeye ulaşamaksızın, şaşakalır. Böylece de o kimseye korku, feryâd, acziyyet veorada kala kalma hakim olmuş olur.İbn Abbas şöyle demektedir: "Henüz Hazret-i Hamza'nın iman etmemiş olduğu bir sırada, Ebu Cehil Hazret-iPeygamber'e bir deve tersi, (kığısı) atar.. Derken Hazret-i Hamza, yayı elinde olarak avdan döndüğü birsırada bunu duyar. Bunun üzerine Ebu Cehil'e yönetir ve yayıyla onu sıkıştırarak başına vurmaya başlar.Derken Ebu Cehil ona, "O'nun getirdiği şeyi görmüyor musun? Akıllarımızı hiçe çıkardı; ilahlarımıza sövdü,tenkid etti!" dedi. Bu söze karşılık Hamza, "Siz insanların en beyinsizisiniz; Allah'ı bırakıp taşlaratapıyorsunuz. Ben şehadet ederim ki, eşi benzeri olmayan, bir olan Allah'tan başka bir ilah yoktur! Yineşehadet edirim ki, Hazret-i Muhammed O'nun kulu ve elçisidir" dedi. İşte bu hadise üzerine, bu âyet-ikerime nazil oldu."Mukâtil şöyle demektedir: "Bu âyet, Hazret-i Peygamber ile Ebu Cehil hakkında nazil olmuştur. Bu böyledir,zira Ebu Cehil, "Şerefte Abd-i Menâf oğullan bizi sıkıştırdı; öyle ki biz, aynı gaye uğruna yarışan iki kimse gibiolduk.. Abd-i Menafoğulları, "Bizden, kendisine vahyolunan bir nebî çıktı!" diyorlar. Allah'a yemin olsunki, ona gelen vahiy bize de gelmediği sürece, biz ona inanmayız" der. İşte bunun üzerine bu âyet nazil olur.Cenâb-ı Allah, gerek daha önceki, gerek bundan sonraki ayette bu müzeyyinin sadece kendisi olduğunu açıkolarak belirtmiştir. Daha önce geçmiş olan âyet, "Allah'tan başkasına ibadet edenlere sövmeyin. Sonraonlar da haddi aşarak bilmeksizin Allah'a söverler. Biz her ümmetin yaptıklarını (kendilerine) öylece hoşgösterdik" (En'âm, 108) ayetidir. Sonra gelecek olan ayet de, "Her şehir ve kasabada, oralarıngünahkârlarını, o yerlerde hilekârlık etsinler diye, büyük adamlar yaptık" (En'âm, 123) buyruğudur."İnsanların yaptığı sınavlarda üç yanlış bir doğruya götürür üç günah bir iyiliği siler. Allahın yaptığı sınavda isebir doğru on yanlışı götürür 11 soru soruldu on tanesini yanlış cevap verdin ama bir tanesine doğru cevapverdin Allahın yaptığı sınavda o doğru cevabın on tane yanlışı götürür. Kur'an ayeti şöyle der:
