Catching up with the backup - it's a timely episode of the Garage Hour (not to be cornfused with the usual when-we-can upload freakout). There are still a few more further-behind units to be kicked into production, so don't worry - you won't miss a thing. What's in this 'un? Good electronics versus new, "dumb" appliances versus robot vacuums conspiring with the 'fridge, and the importance of having a good TV repairman up your sleeve. There's a stint with the inevitable: electric cars and why taxpayer dough makes them soft and flabby (and inevitable losers); a possible breakthrough in small trucks (because it's simple), the spy on the counter, the spy in your solar panels, the spy in A.I., and how Carl Sagan called this 50 years ago (and Asimov did 100 years ago). Add on a few thoughts about the freedom to roam (and boat, when you're in Florida (man)), and more from JFS3, and you've got a show. While we're at it, this episode's got a few Excellent Weirdo R.I.P.s for some high-Q fellows who left us (and it's not okay): Joe Don Baker, George Wendt and Bruce Glover. Make it more: music from Karma to Burn, KMFDM, Deadbolt, Fatso Jetson, I Mother Earth, Dire Straits, Rev. Heat, Clutch, the Allmans and Fun Lovin' Criminals.

On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels. From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all! We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more. For our 28th episode, we'll be taking on the often overlooked "WARLOCK: THE ARMAGEDDON" from 1993. This Part Two to the original 1989 classic Warlock was directed by the late Anthony Hickox (Full Eclipse, Hellrasiser III: Hell On Earth, Waxwork 1 & 2) and starred the late Julian Sands (Arachnophobia, Leaving Lost Vegas, Boxing Helena) as the titular Warlock once again. Supporting cast is as solid as 90's horror can get with roles played by Joanna Pacula, Bruce Glover, Chris Young, Paula Marshall, R.G. Armstrong, Charles Hallahan, Zach Galligan, George "Buck" Flowers and more. This sequel finds our suave Warlock on a quest to unleash satan upon the world and battling against an order of Druids in his way. Join our regular hosts Cameron Scott and Eric Phillips as they dissect and take a deep dive into a world filled with black magic, runestones, Druids, flesh maps and satanic panic! Enjoy! "Picasso. Definitely Picasso."

If you're worried about the climate but a big fan of avocados, you may find yourself torn next time you're needing that green fix. Some international restauranteurs and foodie influencers are cancelling avocados because of their enormous carbon footprint. They've even proposed a few alternative recipes for guacamole which sub in fava beans, broad beans and peas as a more eco-friendly alternative. Bruce Glover is owner of the Mexican Cafe in Auckland and joined Heather du Plessis-Alan to discuss whether avocados are out of fashion because they're bad for the climate. LISTEN ABOVE

Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 68 of your guide to the truly astonishing world of softcore films, and the world’s number one podcast on that subject! We’re joined once again by Bobby from the tremendous Grindbin podcast, and our pal Texas Mike, as our regular look at Playboy’s Inside Out anthology series continues this episode! Volume 2 is, if anything, possibly stranger than the first volume. It certainly features significantly less of what you might call erotic content - although we do find out that one of the shorts is a favourite amongst the flattening fetish community, so there’s that. But it does feature a hell of a cast, including Bruce Glover, Tane McClure, Heather Elizabeth Parkhurst, Bill Moseley, George ‘Buck’ Flower, Kitten Natividad, and PBS radio host Joe Frank. Plus, there’s directors like music video superstar Nigel Dick (most famous for Baby One More Time and Oops I Did It Again with Britney), Nicholas Brandt (who did Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You as Alan Smithee), and Hellraiser II’s Tony Randel, back for more. Once again, there’s no Softcore Spotlight, but we still somehow go well into our second hour, mostly because we’re a bit stunned by the sheer weirdness of these videos. Hey, why not call us on our hotline? (724) 246-4669! Or email us: mail@getsoftpodcast.com Check out the other Compañeros Radio Network shows: Movie Melt Songs on Trial
Did you know that Dracula can fly around inside his coffin? That's one of three types of flying (and maybe more, we lost count) that Dracula does in this spectacularly cartoony remake/update/re-imagining of the Dracula story by Peter Horak (RIP). Also starring Bruce Glover as Professor Doctor Van Helsing. It has a twist ending that you'll never see coming (it's a dance party). Trailer: https://youtu.be/89C2Q7_z68U IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0162930/ The Wikipedia page that is only in German for some reason: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Hard_Dracula
Grab your rifle and plenty of ammo, maniacs, because we're going on a hunting trip for week 3 of Vicious Vacations as we discuss the 1986 backwoods redneck slasher Hunter's Blood! Lots of really great actors in this one like Clu Gulager, Bruce Glover and even Billy Bob Thornton. As we try to dodge murderous hill people, we also discuss gender role reversals, Ren & Stimpy euphemisms, and all of the random wildlife you see in the background of this film.
Walking tall, who killed teddy bear, and many more. What do they have in common Bruce Glover. So join us for a chat with him.
This week Locker Talk gets heaving into UIL basketball playoffs as we bring in Houston Chronicle sportswriter Adam Coleman, Bellaire Boys Basketball Coach Brice Glover, and KUBE 57's Todd Freed of the "High School Spots Zone." Friend of the show, Scott Toomey, joins us to discuss Black Belt Jones and Black Gunn, two excellent and very different examples of the Blaxploitation era. There's a catch though, these are the first two he's ever seen!!With the help of host Jon Cross, who's seen many many of the era's finest (and not so finest) films, they take each film step by step from the light, chop socky, Bruce Lee inspired, fun of Black Belt Jones into the harder, grittier and a little slower, Black Gunn.We also talk about stars Jim Kelly, Jim Brown, Bernie Casey, Martin Landau, Bruce Glover, Gloria Hendry, Scatman Crothers and more. This finishes up our Black History Month examination of these fascinating and entertaing African American films from the Seventies and we strongly urge everyone to check more of them out over at the Brown Sugar streaming App.
On this episode, the gang goes to the Big House to rip into the head-scratching-ly bad, Bret Michaels passion project, A Letter from Death Row! Who on this earth thought this deserved to be made? What's with all those stupid chapters? And do these filmmakers really not know what a book looks like? PLUS: Let's hang out with Bruce Glover in the Dad Room! A Letter from Death Row stars Bret Michaels, Martin Sheen, Charlie Sheen, Kristi Gibson, Phil Valentine, and Swan Burrus; directed by Bret Michaels & Marvin Baker.
We're honoured to have a legendary member of the James Bond family on the show this week, Bruce Glover. We talk Bond, Diamonds Are Forever, Sean Connery, Putter Smith and a whole lot more besides. Outside of the 007 world we hear equally fascinating stories all about Bruce's life growing up in depression era Chicago, the hilarious story behind his very first acting job and we discover the process Bruce would use to get into character. Big thanks go out to Bruce for being so generous with his time. Not only is he amazing to talk to, he's also one of the most down to earth people you could ever wish to meet. DO NOT MISS THIS EPISODE!
We have had the honour and privilege of interviewing an absolutely awesome member of the James Bond family this week. The full episode is out this friday but in the meantime, let's find out who it is...
