The progress doesn't stand still and new functions make our gadgets closer to the devices from science-fiction movies! Many everyday tasks can be made so much simpler if you master a few tricks when handling your Android device. Here is a list of such awesome hidden features! TIMESTAMPS Cloning applications 0:51 Downloading videos and audios from YouTube 1:41 Turning your smartphone into a digital scale 2:26 Switching to two-window mode with one touch 3:10 Switching to safe mode 3:39 Using offline maps 4:15 Paying with your phone instead of a credit card 4:56 A scanner that's always at hand 6:01 Unlimited search 6:38 Linking two smartphones together 7:17 SUMMARY If you are lucky to have a fresh version of Android, there you can find a menu option called “App Cloner.” It allows you to duplicate the desired applications with a single tap. By default, Google hides apps that enable you to download YouTube videos from its official store. However, there are plenty of third-party developer applications you can easily get! A special app can transform your gadget into a digital scale. Install this app, calibrate it with a small air cushion or any other object whose weight is known in advance (such as a coin) and you are ready to go! Want to read an e-book and use a dictionary at the same time without having to switch screens? To do this, open the right app, and hold the task list key (to the right of the "Home" button). To enable safe mode, you need to switch on your phone or tablet, press the power button again and hold it. When a menu appears, press and hold the onscreen “Off“ or ”Power Off" key. When safe mode option appears, click “OK.” The best solution is to download online maps to your phone and disable mobile Internet while leaving GPS switched on. Your location will still be displayed on offline maps, thanks to satellite data — without any cost to you. With the help of the NFC modules, built into many phone models, you can link your credit card to an account in the relevant system (Android Pay or Apple Pay). This will enable you to pay with your phone in any of the thousands of stores that accept contactless payments. Did you know that you can scan any document or photo with your smartphone camera? To take full advantage of this feature, you'll need to download one of the special applications that will not only recognize the document but also save it to the cloud and send a copy to the intended recipient. With an application called Google Goggles, you can find anything you want! This app's peculiarity is in the fact that instead of typing in your search queries you are using your smartphone camera! Thanks to One-Touch-Go (OTG) function, any modern smartphone can be linked to a peripheral device including another smartphone! To do it, you need to fit one phone with a USB female adapter and the second phone with a micro-USB cable. After the phones identify the cable and the adapter you can safely connect them. Imagine getting a $500 fine for using a free meal coupon from the McDonald's app! In this episode, I dive into the unbelievable story of an 18-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who faced this exact situation. He logged into the McDonald's app, drove to the drive-thru to claim his free meal, and ended up with a hefty fine from a vigilant police officer who caught him using his smartphone in the car. Source News Story Here https://globalnews.ca/news/10498729/sask-rcmp-issue-a-ticket-for-cellphone-use-in-saskatoon-mcdonalds-drive-thru/ Update since the release of this video/podcast it was confirmed that, the gentleman may have been distracted and driving before getting into the McDonald's parking lot. We'll discuss the details of this incident, my thoughts on the rules about using smartphones while driving, and the potential implications of this fine. Is it fair to penalize someone for using their phone in a drive-thru? Should there be exceptions for using mobile payment methods like Apple Pay or Android Pay? Tune in to hear my take on this frustrating scenario and why I believe there should be a separate rule for using phones in drive-thrus. Hit that subscribe button for more intriguing stories and join the conversation in the comments below. Let's talk about road safety, fairness, and the true cost of a 'free' meal.

In episode 02 of the Legacy Purse: Probate: The Inheritance Process, we shared that when a loved one dies and leaves a last will and testament, the probate process is a legal procedure for a judge to validate the will before any of the loved one's instructions can be carried out. But what is the history of this practice? Why does someone's last will require such a public, strict, court process that anyone can find out about? And how did we get here?In this episode of the Legacy Purse, Leslie Sultan sits down with one of San Francisco's few Personal Family Lawyer®, Yaasha Sabba, and they break down the history of probate and why this archaic process still exists. Yaasha explains that probate is a "Lawsuit that you file against yourself on behalf of your creditors and is paid for by your estate." Mike Buckner from Weave says they are adjusting to working from home for the last 3 weeks. It has been a big shift for him to go from traveling frequently to being at home. This situation will change normal going forward, and it can be a great time of innovation. We expect to see a lot of technology moving to touchless processes. Just like 9/11 changed the way we fly, COVID-19 will change how we deal with sanitation. Online forms and more frequent sanitation options will become much more the norm. What are some of the things Weave has done to innovate? We provide both phone and business tools such as texting or online communication. One innovation is the mobile waiting room where the patient texts on arrival and fills out the form online. Prescreens with an automated text link can help screen patients when you reopen. Paperless forms will be the norm to lower risk. Online pay or having the patient handle their own card will prevent a lot of germ transfer as well. Using Apple Pay or Android Pay is actually more secure than carrying a credit card. Streamlining your processes for better patient workflow is crucial to being more efficient. Using Weave to forward calls means you can call from home as well as receive office calls to continue booking. They also have rolled out a teledentistry option for a virtual consult which has an insurance code. If you are a current Weave customer, check the COVID toolbox that gives instructions on some of the options you can do. If you are not a current customer, text “NIFTY” to 385-293-3939 for more information. They also have free CE available on their website. https://www.getweave.com/free-ce/ If you are using Weave already, you can advertise to your patients how the service helps to keep them safe. What kind of advice would you give to everyone right now? First, the sun will shine again, so hold on to hope. There will be good that comes out of this. It's a chance for us to rebuild relationships with friends and family. We will probably not have a chance to take this time again, so double down and make it count.
Show #447 Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Tuesday 16th April 2019. It’s Martyn Lee here and I’ve been through every EV story I could find today, and picked out the best ones to save you time. Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too. Welcome to the family a new Patreon PRODUCER TORSTEN WILD. MERCEDES-BENZ EQC EDITION 1886 ADDS EXCLUSIVITY TO THE ELECTRIC SUV A limited special edition EQC Edition 1886 has been announced at the New York Auto Show as a tribute to the first motor car, and looking forward at a new era for Daimler. "As for the name, it’s obviously a callback to the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen – the vehicle widely recognized as the first production car. Mechanically speaking, everything about the EQC Edition 1886 is just as you’ll find it on the standard model. A pair of electric motors drive all four wheels with a combined output of 402 horsepower (300 kilowatts), drawing power from an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Mercedes estimates the EQC’s range between 277 and 293 miles, with the capability for fast charging at 110 kW when such high-output stations are available" writes Chris Smith for motor1.com: "The standard EQC is expected to arrive in June for the European market, with U.S. sales beginning next year. The Edition 1886 is also slated to go on sale in the U.S. next year. Pricing for either model hasn’t been announced yet." I think that points towards Mercedes engineers having done a great job on efficiency, because 80kWh is less than others are using for the same size vehicle, if you look at the 95kWh Audi e-tron which just scrapes over 200 miles on the EPA range. https://www.motor1.com/news/345040/mercedes-benz-eqc-edition-1886/ WORLD CAR AWARDS GIVES JAGUAR I-PACE THREE HONORS "The Jaguar I-Pace was a critical darling of the World Car of the Year Awards, announced Wednesday at the New York Auto Show. It nabbed the World Car of the Year Award, as well as honors for Green Car and Design." says Zac for InsideEVs.com: "The other two finalists for the World Car of the Year award, announced last month at the Geneva Motor Show, were the Audi E-Tron and the Volvo S60/V60. The I-Pace shared its World Green Car award with the Audi, while the hydrogen fuel cell Hyundai Nexo was also nominated for that honor. Jaguar Director of Design, Ian Callum, was in New York to receive the awards. Underscoring the significance of the awards, he said that “going green” was going to happen to the whole industry and that cars like the I-Pace are the start of the journey." https://insideevs.com/2019-ny-auto-show-jaguar-world-car/ LOTUS ANNOUNCES ‘WORLD’S FIRST FULL ELECTRIC BRITISH HYPERCAR’, UNVEILS TEASER "Lotus confirmed that it is working on what they describe as the “world’s first full electric British hypercar” and it unveiled a teaser image for the electric vehicle." writes Fred for Electrek today: "There have been rumors about Lotus going electric with a $2.5 million 1,000 hp hypercar ever since Geely took a majority stake in the British automaker. At the Shanghai International Auto Show, Lotus has now confirmed that an all-electric hypercar called Type 130 is in “advanced stages of development.” https://electrek.co/2019/04/16/lotus-type-130-full-electric-british-hypercar-teaser/ BATTERY-POWERED TOYOTA C-HR HIGHLIGHTS ELECTRIC DEBUTS IN CHINA Toyota love to promote their cars with the phrase "we choose not to plug in". Which is awkward because we know all cars are going electric and will have to have a plug. But how quickly will that happen? How about now. "Toyota has just jumped into the battery-powered pool, revealing a small collection of all-electrics at the Auto Shanghai 2019. The most notable was its compact crossover, the C-HR EV. It’s the first completely electrified vehicle from the Japanese brand to come to China. Curiously, the other main EV is also the C-HR, but wears a badge proclaiming itself to be the Izoa EV. It, according to Autocar, will be built by the state-owned outfit FAW. Toyota says the twins should be offered to consumers in 2020." reports InsideEVs.com: "The appearance of the all-electric C-HR sparks the inevitable questions, “Will it come to other markets?” While we have no definitive answer, the automaker reminds us that it plans to introduce more than 10 battery-electric vehicles before 2025. While we would hope it makes its way outside of China, the automaker has yet to release technical specifications for the vehicle, so it’s difficult to judge how well suited it might be for Western markets." https://insideevs.com/toyota-c-hr-ev-china-rhombus-izoa-video/ ALL-ELECTRIC GENESIS MINT CONCEPT REVEALED IN NEW YORK Genesis revealed the Mint Concept at Hudson Yards, ahead of the opening of the 2019 New York International Auto Show. The Mint Concept introduces the all-electric, luxury car for the city, a new vehicle typology, featuring organic design and an innovative interior user experience. The versatility of the Mint Concept extends to the design and engineering of its high- density, battery-electric powertrain, which is capable of an estimated 200 miles per full charge and 350-KW fast recharging. TESLA LAUNCHES BATTERY RECYCLING AT NEVADA GIGAFACTORY "In its latest environmental impact statement, Tesla announced that it will open its own battery recycling facility. Tesla has been recycling batteries made at the factory using third-party recyclers. Now, as the earliest Model S's reach 7 years old, and the company is starting to receive some batteries back after use in those early cars, it's setting up its own battery recycling facility." says Eric for Green Car Reports: "The new processing center at the company's Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada to process both old batteries used in customers' Teslas as well as those from its own research and development. The company says lithium, cobalt, aluminum, copper, and steel will be recovered from the batteries in a closed-loop system that optimizes the materials for new battery production. " https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1122631_tesla-launches-battery-recycling-at-nevada-gigafactory FASTNED OPENS ITS FIRST 350 KW CHARGING STATION IN THE UK "Fastned just expanded to the United Kingdom, opening not only its first fast-charging station there, but also the first in the UK ready for 350 kW of charging power. It’s located on West Wear Street, which is one of Sunderland’s busiest central routes. Sunderland is also known for its Nissan manufacturing plant, which produces the LEAF for the European market." reports InsideEVs.com; Fastned say: "“Initially, charging at the station in Sunderland will be free. The free charging will end during 2019 as soon as the payment system is activated, from that moment an introductory price will be charged. Charging and paying will then be possible with a EV charge card, debit/credit card, Apple Pay and Android Pay. Later in the year it will also be possible to charge with the Fastned App, making automatic charging (Autocharge) possible in the United Kingdom for the first time.” https://insideevs.com/fastned-opens-first-350-kw-charging-station/ VW OF AMERICA TO GAUGE US APPETITE FOR MQB-BASED TAROK PICKUP CONCEPT AT NY SHOW "Volkswagen of America (VoA) plans to show the Tarok pickup concept for the first time in the US at the New York International Auto Show. Although there are no plans to produce the vehicle for the US market, VoA is showing the Tarok concept to gauge market reaction for a versatile and compact entry-level pickup. The US is the largest global market for pickups." To me this says one thing - it's not about selling diesel trucks, it's VW looking at their electric vehicle offering and Tesla Truck, the Rivian and others, and seeing a lucrative market possibly being closed off to them.' SONO MOTORS TO BUILD SION EV AT SAAB’S FORMER FACTORY IN SWEDEN The first series production solar electric vehicle (SEV) developed by the German mobility provider Sono Motors is to be manufactured in Sweden. As Sono Motors officially announced today, the first generation of the Sion will be produced in Trollhättan by National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS). The plant located there was home to the production lines of the long-standing and innovative automobile manufacturer SAAB. In total, an initial 260,000 vehicles will roll off the production line in Trollhättan over an eight-year period. Production will commence in the second half of 2020. After the ramp-up period, approximately 43,000 Sion a year will be manufactured in two-shift operations. Production will be carried out using one hundred percent renewable energy. A bidirectional charging function enables the Sion to both receive and supply electricity, power electrical devices independently, and feed energy to other vehicles or into the electricity grid. Thanks to full-surface solar integration, the vehicle battery can be charged with pure and free solar energy worth up to 34 kilometers’ range per day in addition to its regular WLTP range of 255 kilometers. For its market launch, the Sion will be rolled out in one single variant version costing 25,500 euros. There are plans afoot to develop other vehicle models based on the vehicle’s platform. VOLKSWAGEN ID. R USES DRS FORMULA 1 TECHNOLOGY FOR NÜRBURGRING RUN "Volkswagen has set itself a new challenge with the ID. R this year – the Nürburgring-Nordschleife instead of Pikes Peak. A race track instead of a hill climb. Full-throttle sections instead of hair-pins. Because of this, the fully electric-powered ID. R has been continuously developed with respect to its aerodynamics." says Electric Vehicle News: "As well as an adapted floor and a new spoiler at the front of the vehicle, the ID. R will also sport a newly designed rear wing. It will be much lower than the variant used at Pikes Peak, in order to provide less surface resistance to the flow of air. The new multi-wing rear of the ID. R will nevertheless produce high downforce in the medium-fast turns of the 73-corner Nordschleife. To further reduce the drag in certain sections, the rear wing will deploy technology known from its use in Formula 1 – the so-called Drag Reduction System (DRS). In the pinnacle class of motorsport, DRS is used in order to facilitate overtaking by allowing for higher speeds. During the ID. R’s solo-drive, however, the opening element of the rear wing will be used exclusively to preserve the remaining energy reserves." http://www.electric-vehiclenews.com/2019/04/volkswagen-id-r-uses-drs-formula-1.html COMMUNITY And thanks to MYEV.com they’ve set us another Question Of The Week. As a plug-in hybrid, the 918 Spyder broke new barriers for the German automaker and it came at exactly the right time, just as Ferrari McLaren launched their own hybrid hypercars, the LaFerrari and P1, respectively" says CarBuzz: "But a few years have gone by since 918 production ended, so now it’s time to starting seriously discussing what’s next. Fortunately, Porsche CEO Oliver Blume is ready to talk. Speaking to Top Gear, Blume made it quite clear he’s keen for Porsche’s next hypercar to be all-electric but a final decision has yet to be made. "We have a big history here, and we’ll have one in the future,” he said. "It has to be the best in the market, the highest performing… right now we haven’t got a concept for that car. But might it be a pure-electric car? Yes.” https://carbuzz.com/news/porsche-wants-an-all-electric-918-spyder-successor TESLA MODEL S, X WITH “HARDWARE 3” FOR FULL SELF-DRIVING NOW IN PRODUCTION "Tesla has begun producing Model X and Model S vehicles with the latest Autopilot hardware to support Full Self-Driving capabilities. Dubbed “HW3”, the new hardware is Tesla’s next iteration of its semi-autonomous driving-assist feature that includes Navigate on Autopilot, Advanced Summon, Auto Lane Change, Autopark, and the ability to respond to traffic lights." Says Teslarati today: "Looking at the source code behind Tesla’s New Inventory site, we’re able to see that recently produced Model S and Model X with Autopilot have been given an “APH4” options code, signifying that these vehicles are equipped with the latest Full Self-Driving hardware. Tesla uses the option code sequence “APHx” to denote the type of Autopilot hardware installed in its vehicles. APH2 indicates HW2 and APH3 = HW2.5 (Autopilot 2.5). Thus, APH4 is HW3." The pilot schemes will begin in the Netherlands and Portugal. Groupe Renault places the reversible charger inside vehicles, so it just requires a simple, inexpensive adaptation of the existing charging terminals to implement V2G charging. A fleet of fifteen Zoe vehicles with V2G charging will be introduced in Europe over the course of 2019 to develop future offerings in reversible charging and to lay the groundwork for the future standards. These pilot schemes will begin today in Utrecht (the Netherlands) in an ecosystem developed by We Drive Solar and on Porto Santo Island (in the archipelago of Madeira, Portugal) with Empresa de Electricidade da Madeira, an energy supplier. Following these, more pilot schemes will be introduced in France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark. https://www.greencarcongress.com/2019/03/groupe-renault-launching-large-scale-v2g-trials-with-fleet-of-15-zoe-evs.html David Partington Firstly I'd like to be billed the same way for Rapid, Fast & Slow charging - I don't see why rapid billing should be different. For all these charging modes I'd like to be able to choose a billing organisation and have them consolidate my charging on a weekly or monthly basis as per my preference, and allow me to see where my money's been spent. I'd gladly pay a regular subscription for this, as I currently do for Polar - and I would expect all my charging data to be available online to view, in near real-time. There's a business model here for EV Charge billing companies - who don't necessarily need to be involved in charging at all! Short term, contactless. Which means I can either use my debit card or my phone via Android Pay. Just like 99% of my purchases on the high street. Long term, ISO 15118, plug and pay feature. (Like how Teslas at a SuperCharger). - Colin Richardson RajBadwal Ideal world.. plug car into any charger and get a bill at the end of the month. But in the meantime I'd take credit/debit/contatless payments. I hate needed to set up an account for God know how many chargers. I have Pola plus account and I have ecotristy app and that's it because I cant be assed to sign up for all of them. Pete Glass I'd like to see two methods on every charger. 1] Simplicity: contactless payment card, touch and go. No faffing with apps in blizzards or driving rain. 2] Monthly account: pre-registered with payment method, using either RFID or simple user interface app. Nice summary bill once a month to use for budgeting or expense claims with all charging details - perhaps Excel/csv file download option too. Pet hates: 1] Nightmare apps that crash, have invisible tick boxes scrolled off the edge of screen and make you enter 16 digits of your payment card for EVERY transaction while your fingers freeze off! [Shell ... that's you-hoo!] 2] Apps that you have to preload £20 deposit that you end up never spending! DAVID NYE G’day again Martyn from Brissy. (Brisbane) For as long as I can remember I have bought fuel with my credit card. I pay the vast majority of other bills with my card also. I would like to do the same for EV charging. Simple, quick, and easy, with everything in one place. I certainly don’t want a glovebox full of RF cards and charge tokens. Tom Raftery How would I like to be billed? I wouldn’t! Seriously, I charge off my solar panels, and when I drive down to Cadiz, I drop in to the Nissan dealer there for a free, fast top-up, but if I did have to pay, the optimal way would be that the charger wherever it is, recognises my car when I plug it in, and the cost of the charge is simply added to my electricity bill at the end of the month. Mark Garnett Pod point’s system is ideal. Plug in and starts charging. Enable within 15 mins (find a signal out of the rain) to keep it going. Genius. Ecotricity’s is the worst, multi-stage app including asking sane questions again and again. With a forgotten password, weak signal and expired card, can easily lose the first 15 mins faffing around before charging actually begins. Alex Banahene With regards to this weeks question of the week for me it has to be contactless payments. My zoe is used mostly for commuting and I’ve only done a handful of long-range trips where I needed to recharge. Because of that I don’t want to be paying membership to a charging network and the various apps and cards are a pain. The easiest public charge I had was a council run coin operated 22kw charger in a Blackpool car park and though physical cash has a declining role I want charging to be that easy: turn up, plug in and pay. So for me contactless payment via card or phone is the way forward. The next alternative for me is to make use of ccs ability to ID cars and setup network s like the Tesla network where maybe the most you have to do is register a payment method and contact details first time you use a pump and then after that you are just billed either at the end of the charge or at the end of the month. The Plugseeker I think that the important thing for charging is that it is as accessible as possible. Therefore you can’t rely on being a member of a charging network if you may be only use it once in an occasional visit to an area. Therefore they should ALL have access to be used by debit credit cards for this reason. That being said it is also reasonable to be able to join up as a subscription to a charger you use regularly to get a reduced rate. One important point about apps is this should NOT be the sole way of accessing a rapid charger. The government unfortunately made it so that this was also acceptable when it came to agreements for universal access. Kent from Denmark In my opinion, we already have a good solution right in front of us. If you, in an ICA car, see a new filling station, you are always able to fill up your car there, just by swiping your credit card or by paying cash. All the stations, from all the companies, are at your disposal at all times. I really would like to see a similar approach to the charging network for EV's. When you pass any charger, you see a sign displaying the actual price per KW. If all companies, including Tesla, made their network available for all to use, we could cover a much larger area with chargers, making huge incentives for more people to join the EV revolution. John Fruhwirth I get free super charging and so this does not apply to me. But, If I had to pay for charging while on the road, I would prefer something along the lines of the following: Something like Paypal so as to eliminate the myriad of cards/RFID tags required today. Something like Apple Pay using NFC (Near field Communications). So that I could pay by waving my phone or apple watch at the charger. Even better, have the chargers be as smart as super chargers and so have your account debited as required without having to engage with the charger at all! COMMUNITY And thanks to MYEV.com they’ve set us another Question Of The Week. Keep your comments coming in on email and YouTube… If EV’s are going to cost more than ICE cars in the short term, how much more of a premium are you willing to pay (if any?) Android Pay пережил ребрендинг и получил новое SDK. Разберемся, что Pay из себя представляет, как работает и как его встроить себе.
Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay are just a few of the ways the we can pay just by a tap -- let's not forget Speedpass or credit cards that allow payment as well. Security is at the forefront of Apple and Android pay because each system generates a secure token that stands in place of your real credit card number, which adds a layer of security to each transaction. Are you using Contactless Payments? || Let's continue our discussion! Follow me on Twitter and Instagram at @dexter_johnson and visit http://DexJohnsPC.com to stay on top of my latest posts. Technology keeps making it easier to separate you from your money. PayPal enabled you to easily send money via the internet. Square allowed businesses to use a smartphone to accept your credit card. Apple Pay and Android Pay flipped this idea on its head and let you pay with your phone instead of a card. Despite this innovation in how consumers can pay businesses, the way businesses pay each other hasn't changed much. San Francisco startup Fundbox wants to give businesses another option.
This is the most fun show we’ve done in ages, or maybe ever. My friend Jean-Stephane Gourevitch offered to gather some really interesting people in London to talk about the data economy. We finally sat down last fall, during London’s Regtech Rising conference, and wow, did we talk. Jean-Stephane himself is French, based in London, and works with fintech startups throughout the world. His guests were, first, Edward George, who leads both research and the UK representative office for the pan-African bank, Ecobank. We also had Fiona Ghosh, a top London lawyer in the financial and fintech space -- Fiona is a partner at Addleshaw Goddard. Our other two participants have both founded young fintechs. Lukas Zoerner is CEO of Mespo, a fully independent robo money saver. And Luca Schnettler, from Germany, has founded HealthyHealth, which uses data to change the insurance world and to make people...healthier. We had an incredible conversation. We talked about how Europe’s new data regulations -- PSD2 and the GDPR -- will change banking and fintech (which, by the way, is a revolution that’s being under-discussed in the United States). We covered the opportunities that fintech is opening up in the developing world and especially Africa, where suddenly it’s possible, through the mobile phone, to bring banking to hundreds of millions of people who couldn’t be profitably served before. We talked about the future of cash. We figured out what regulators need to do. For me, probably the most riveting moments were a debate that broke out between the two fintech CEO’s -- both millennials -- who turned out to have strikingly different views about how data should be used, and also about consumers’ responsibility for securing their own wellbeing. I’ve never heard a discussion quite like it. So, we had six people around the table, counting me. It was a yeasty mixture of nationalities, languages, ages, continents, professional expertise, products, and target markets -- and with everyone having a whole lot to say. More about today’s guests Jean-Stephane Gourévitch Jean-Stéphane is an expert of the strategic, public policy and market aspects of digital/mobile payments, mobile money, digital/mobile banking, digital/mobile commerce, fintech, the data economy and innovation ecosystem with over 25 years global experience at senior management levels and a mix of corporate and entrepreneurial experience. He has held senior management positions with International telecom operators including Everything Everywhere Ltd. (EE), Orange, France Telecom, Verizon Business, Colt Technology Services Ltd. He has worked for OFCOM, the UK digital communications regulator. He also has held senior positions with Deloitte Consulting and with strategic marketing and PR/Communications firms. Jean-Stephane created his own management consulting company 5 years ago, combining strategic, public policy and commercial vision about digital convergence, fintech, insurtech and the data economy. He also has global experience mentoring and advising entrepreneurs and start-ups, in particular very young entrepreneurs. A frequent speaker on fintech, payments and insurtech, Jean-Stephane has addressed events such as Fintech Connect Live, Pay Expo, and Money2020. He is also an independent conference director, creating programs/content for major conferences such as Fintech Connect Live in London, INPAYCO Digital Payments in Toronto and Paris, Mobile Payments: Regulation, Risks and Opportunities in Berlin and London, the Africa Fintech Forum in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. As a mentor and advisor to 24 fintech, insurtech and digital technologies startups and to young entrepreneurs in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin and North America, Jean-Stephane’s expertise lies in strategy, business development, regulatory affairs, public policy, Government Relations, stakeholder relationships management, communication and PR. Edward George Twitter @DrTeddGeorge Dr. Edward George is the head of the UK representative office of pan-African bank, Ecobank, as well as being head of group research. Edward oversees the teams in the London office, with a focus on corporate banking, financial institutions/international organisations and research. As head of research he also manages a team of nine analysts based across Middle Africa covering the fixed-income, currencies and commodities space. His specialties include soft commodities and agribusiness, trade and trade finance, and disruptive technology. Edward is also the bank’s specialist on Francophone West Africa and Lusophone Africa. Prior to joining Ecobank in March 2011 he worked for The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for seven years as a Senior Editor in both the Commodities and Africa Departments. There he was responsible for producing and editing reports on Lusophone and Francophone Africa, as well as on 25 industrial raw materials, food, feedstuffs and beverages. Before joining the EIU, Edward worked as a freelance writer covering the politics and economics of Sub-Saharan Africa. A linguist by training, Edward is fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese and holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Bristol. His PhD thesis on the Cuban intervention in Angola was published as a book by Routledge in 2005 and as a paperback in December 2012. Luca Schnettler Luca started HealthyHealth in January 2017 to realize his vision of using digital means to innovate the insurance sector and help customers become healthy individuals. Before having any partners or advisors, Luca was able to persist and focus on the objective, following his goal and passion of building a company that truly changes customers perception on Insurance and helps them to improve their health. Lukas Zoerner Twitter @lczoerner Lukas Zoerner is the Founder and CEO of Mespo, a fully independent robo money saver that detects and executes savings opportunities for consumers. Mespo has established a UK's market first partnership between a FinTech such as Mespo and a Credit Union, My Community Bank.
