Mit der Frage „Boom oder Bust?“ an Bord gingen die San Francisco 49ers in die Begegnung bei den Cincinnati Bengals. Nach klarer Führung kassierte das Team von Head Coach Kyle Shanahan erst den Ausgleich, dann verschoss Robbie Gould ein mögliches Game Winning Field Goal und die Partie ging in die Overtime. Dort sah es zunächst danach aus, dass die 49ers freiwillig den Kopf ins Maul des Tigers legten, aber Brandon Aiyuk sorgte für den siegbringenden Touchdown. Im Duell zweier Wildcard Aspiranten setzten sich die San Francisco 49ers durch einen Touchdown von Wide Receiver Brandon Aiyuk mit 26:23 in der Overtime gegen die Cincinnati Bengals durch. Das Team von Kyle Shanahan zeigte eine starke Reaktion nach der Niederlage gegen die Seattle Seahawks. Insbesondere die Special Teams hatten ein Bounce-Back-Game nach der katastrophalen Leistung der Vorwoche. Das dann Robbie Gould die Partie nicht in der regulären Spielzeit beendete, sondern die Spannung in die Overtime verlagerte, passte zu der Begegnung. Die 49ers konnten wieder auf Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel und Linebacker Fred Warner setzten, die beide das Spiel bei den Seattle Seahawks aufgrund von Verletzungen verpassten. Dagegen fehlten Running Back Elijah Mitchell und die Cornerbacks Emmanuel Moseley und Dontae Johnson. Neben Veteran Josh Norman startete gegen die starke Passing Offense der Bengals um Quarterback Joe Burrow und das Receiver Trio Ja‘Marr Chase, Tee Higgins und Tyler Boyd zum ersten Mal in der NFL Ambry Thomas. Ein fantastisch aufspielender Ryan Fitzpatrick zerlegte mit chirurgischer Präzision die Coverage der San Francisco 49ers! Die Miami Dolphins siegten beim ersten Besuch im Levi´s Stadium überhaupt mit 43:17 gegen die chancenlosen San Francisco 49ers. Das Team von Kyle Shanahan hatte weder Offensiv noch Defensiv ausreichende Antworten parat und ging gerade in der ersten Spielhälfte komplett unter. DOLPHINS PASSING OFFENSE DÜPIERT COVERAGE DER 49ERS Die Vorzeichen sahen für die San Francisco 49ers sahen eigentlich recht vielversprechend aus. Zahlreiche und wichtige Spieler kehrten nach Verletzungen zurück: Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, Running Back Raheem Mostert und Linebacker Dre Greenlaw. Letzte Woche waren schon Tight End George Kittle und Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel zurückgekehrt und beide sahen gegen die Philadelphia Eagles nicht schlecht aus. Aber das Defensive Backfield fiel praktisch erst vor der Partie und anschließend auf dem Feld komplett auseinander. Nach Richard Sherman, Emmanuel Moseley, K'Waun Williams fiel auch noch Dontae Johnson sowie kurzfristig Ahkello Witherspoon aus. Wer besetzte nun den zweiten Cornerback Posten? Brian Allen. Warum dies augenscheinlich schiefgegangen ist und Allen trotzdem nicht der Alleinverantwortliche für die 30 erzielten Punkte der Miami Dolphins sein kann, diskutieren Sascha und Frank anhand der Partie und auch unter sportpsychologischen Gesichtspunkten. Dies gilt natürlich auch für die Offense. Auch hier war es augenscheinlich, dass Jimmy Garoppolo seine Verletzung noch nicht komplett auskuriert hat. Der Game Plan, wieder mit einem erfolgreichen Laufspiel über Raheem Mostert und Jerick McKinnon zu dominieren, hätte vielleicht aufgehen können. Zumindest sprechen die Zahlen hierfür. Aber dadurch, dass man bereits zur Halbzeit mit 7:30 zurücklag, konnte man in der zweiten Halbzeit auch nicht mehr großartig den Ball laufen. Dies geschah ohne Jimmy Garoppolo. Kyle Shanahan schützte den Quarterback, der zwei furchtbare Interceptions vor der Halbzeitpause warf, vor sich selbst. Miami deckte schonungslos mit einer sehr guten Vorstellung die Schwachstellen auf und nutzte diese konsequent aus. Nun versuchte man es erneut mit C.J. Beathard. Er war weniger produktiv als gegen die Eagles. Warum diese ganzen Wechsel ein wenig nach Verzweiflung wirken und was dies alles im Locker Room angerichtet hat, besprechen Sascha und Frank in der 47. Zum dritten Heimspiel in dieser Saison empfangen die San Francisco 49ers am kommenden Sonntag die Miami Dolphins. Für die Dolphins ist es der erste Besuch überhaupt im Levi`s Stadium. Nach der Niederlage gegen die Philadelphia Eagles hoffen die 49ers auf die Rückkehr von Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo und Running Back Raheem Mostert. GAROPPOLO UND MOSTERT WIEDER IM TRAINING – VIELE PROBLEME AUF CORNERBACK Vor der Partie der Miami Dolphins gegen die San Francisco 49ers gibt es gute und schlechte Nachrichten von der Verletzungsfront. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo kehrte wie Running Back Raheem Mostert unter der Woche zurück ins Teamtraining – wenn auch bisher beide nur limitiert. Dies ist aber Licht am Ende des Tunnels! Düster sieht es dagegen um das Defensive Backfield und insbesondere die Cornerbacks aus. Denn Nickelback K'Waun Williams wird definitiv ausfallen und wahrscheinlich noch vor der Begegnung auf die Short-term Injured Reserve gesetzt. Dazu befindet sich Emmanuel Moseley weiterhin im Concussion Protocol und auch Dontae Johnson zwickt es in der Leiste. Kyle Shanahan told reporters after practice that Reuben Foster is the team's starting weak side linebacker. Dontae Johnson opened practice with two impressive reps in coverage. He kept up with Marquise Goodwin on a go route and later broke up a pass intended for Aldrick Robinson. The defense was dominant for most of practice. Eric Reid and Pita Taumoepenu each had two sacks on the day. Ahmad Brooks, Tank Carradine and NaVorro Bowman also had a sack on Tuesday. Bowman's solid day also featured a pass breakup in coverage of Carlos Hyde. Rashard Robinson had great coverage of Goodwin and Pierre Garçon. - Garçon got his revenge against Robinson with a touchdown reception in the left corner of the end zone.
