Today, Jess, Jamil, Algene, and Andy discuss the latest developments in the Iran conflict, including reports that Iran has restored access to 30 of its 33 launch sites and growing scrutiny following Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's Capitol Hill testimony on the roughly $29 billion cost of Operation Epic Fury. Meanwhile, nuclear negotiations continue as reports indicate that UAE has begun launching its own strikes on Iran, signaling a potential realignment of regional actors.Should President Trump restart the bombing campaign or move to forcibly reopen the Strait of Hormuz? Will the continually increasing financial costs of the conflict impact voter sentiment ahead of the midterms? Galen Clavio is joined by Taylor Lehman to put a bow on Indiana football's national championship run — starting with what actually happened in the title game against Miami, why it got dicey in the third quarter, and the handful of pivotal moments (including the blocked punt TD and the late interception) that slammed the door. From there, it's a forward-looking, roster-building deep dive: how Indiana replaces key departures (including Stephen Daley, Aidan Fisher, D'Angelo Ponds, and Lewis Moore), why continuity with Curt Cignetti's staff matters, and what the portal class says about the program's “production over potential” strategy heading into 2026 — with detailed talk on Josh Hoover at QB, the tight end depth concern, and why the new wide receiver room could be even nastier. Defensively, the spotlight centers on Georgia’s plan to contain Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who caused problems for the Bulldogs in the earlier meeting this season. This week on Autonomy Markets, Grayson Brulte and Walter Piecyk discuss Wayve's OEM partnership with Nissan, Nuro's Series E capital raise and why the Uber/Waymo partnership in Austin does not guarantee future deployments. Wayve is going to power Nissan's next-generation ProPILOT technology starting in fiscal year 2027. The deal with Nissan validates Wayve's business model of licensing and raises the question of is Nuro next in line to secure a major OEM partnership? As the autonomy economy evolves, licensing autonomous driving systems is going to accelerate fragmentation, potentially benefitting both Uber and Lyft. In Austin, Waymo is available exclusively through Uber. While early signs point to success, it's far from guaranteed that the partnership will scale beyond Austin and Atlanta, especially as Waymo continues to expand on it's own with Waymo One.Episode Chapters0:00 Wayve Partners with Nissan 3:12 Autonomous Driving OEM Partnerships 5:24 Nuro Series E7:12 Autonomous Driving Partnerships Ecosystem 13:01 Could Tesla xAI Swap Assets?17:19 Zoox Expands Testing to LA18:27 Will Zoox Launch Commercial Service in 2025?20:25 Waymo Needs More OEM Partnerships 23:40 U.S. / China Policy 28:00 Europe / China Policy 31:19 Uber / Waymo Austin Data 36:49 Unforced Error of The Week38:52 Next WeekRecorded on Friday, April 11, 2025--------About The Road to AutonomyThe Road to Autonomy® is a leading source of data, insight and commentary on autonomous vehicles/trucks and the emerging autonomy economy™.Autonomy is transforming industries and creating an entirely new economy that we call the autonomy economy™. On Wednesday, the Biden administration vetoed a UN Security Council resolution designed to save the terrorist organization known as Hamas from utter – and possibly imminent – destruction at the hands of Israel. The Jewish State was thereby spared the strategic disaster of having to agree to an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in Gaza or face crippling international sanctions. Hold the champagne. Team Biden wanted to allow the ceasefire resolution to pass – and would have, but for the fact that it didn't require Hamas to release hostages seized during the October 7 the massacre. The U.S. administration had no problem with the prospect that Israel's jihadist enemy – and ours – would live to fight another day. And its treacherous efforts to topple her democratically elected government were bolstered by the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant issued yesterday for Benjamin Netanyahu for alleged war-crimes. Shameful. This is Frank Gaffney.

FOX Sports' lead college football analyst Joel Klatt reacts to the news that Washington Head Coach Kalen DeBoer will be the one tasked with replacing Nick Saban at Alabama. Klatt explains why this was a great hire for the Tide and the keys for success in the post-Saban era. He also details why the hiring of Jedd Fisch makes a lot of sense for Washington as they enter the Big Ten. Klatt then considers Michigan's future at QB after J.J. McCarthy declared for the NFL Draft and how Ohio State may have taken a page out of the Wolverines' playbook with several big-time players deciding to spurn the NFL Draft for one more run at a Championship. He concludes the podcast by discussing the ramifications of Miami's massive win in the Transfer Portal with the addition of QB Cameron Ward. Learn more about your ad choices.
