Dami Edun is a British-Nigerian author, rapper, and podcaster who weaves compelling narratives across fiction, music, and conversation.  His debut novel, Ogaman: The Birth of a New King, is a gripping fusion of superhero fiction and dystopian realism, set in a futuristic London infused with Yorùbá mythology. Tuplaturinat - Yrittäjän rautaisannos markkinointia ja myyntiä

Juuri nyt kuuntelen erästä musiikkihistorian tunnetuimmista kitarapätkistä, eli riffeistä. Riippumatta syntymävuodestasi tunnistaisit sen kyllä. Se menee näin: däddä-dädädää-dä-ädä-ädä. Kitaran varressa heiluu tietysti Keith Richards ja kohta Mick Jagger alkaa vaikeroida tyydytyksen saamisen vaikeudesta. Yksi The Rolling Stones -yhtyeen isoimmista hiteistä sai alkunsa kesken yöunien. 2.  Keithillä oli sängyn vieressä kitara ja nauhuri. Ilman niitä idea olisi jäänyt jonnekin mielen sopukoihin. Luovuus tuntuu käsitteenä jotenkin haihattelulta. Yrittäjän tekemiseen kekseliäisyys sopii ehkä paremmin. Kyse on kuitenkin samasta asiasta: käytetään päätä, jotta keksitään jotakin uutta. Uusi tuote, uusi markkinointitaktiikka, uusi somepostaus, uusi tapa valmistaa, toimittaa, palvella.

Boy avec leur single “I will follow”, puis War avec “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, ou enfin Joshua Tree avec “With or without you”. In this two-part episode, I chat to my friend, fellow podcaster and upcoming author Dami Edun about the subtle forms of racism that still exist in the UK today and how we all have a long way to go in breaking down and understanding racist behaviour. We talk about the guilt that a lot of us will have faced in the last few months and how we can sit with that uncomfortable feeling and accept it to allow us to be better allies. It's okay to not get it right all of the time and regardless of how you choose to take a stand, learning to acknowledge mistakes and listening to those who have lived experiences can help in driving change and bringing communities closer together. The Nigerian Bar Association has cautioned the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), about his opposition to the South-West security outfit, Operation Amotekun. The National Publicity Secretary of the NBA, Mr. Kunle Edun, stated this in an interview on Wednesday evening while responding on behalf of the association to Malami’s statement that Operation Amotekun was illegal.Faulting the AGF, Edun said Malami should not be too legalistic on the protection of lives and property, saying in “civilized climes security is everyone’s business. Prominent Nigerians, including the Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka; and ex-Chairman of the NBA, Mr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN; human rights lawyers, Femi Falana, SAN, and Ebu-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), had kicked against the AGF’s pronouncement. The South-West governors on Thursday last week, launched Operation Amotekun, to tackle a series of killings and kidnapping in the zone by Fulani herdsmen. But following Malami’s pronouncement, the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who is also the Chairman of the South-West Governors’ Forum, on Wednesday, said the zone would first seek a political solution to the AGF’s opposition. “If that fails, we will go to court and allow the court to decide,” he added. The NBA spokesman, in the interview, said the law allows a person or group of persons to protect themselves within the framework of the law and/or report untoward activities to the police. What is needed now is collaboration and partnership between the South-West governors and the Federal Government to agree on the best security formula. It should be a win-win situation, he said. Also, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, supported the Operation Amotekun regional security outfit of the South-West geopolitical zone. Kanu, in a state statement he personally signed, said the arrangement was laudable. The statement read in part, “The final and definitive stance of the Biafran people is that IPOB will support Operation Amotekun with all our might. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/newscast-africa/support Learn more about your ad choices. Sebastien Leon is a New York-based French musician and installation artist. An active part of the downtown art scene for the past twelve years, Sebastien has been conceiving a wide array of multimedia installations for which he directs design, music, environment and performance concepts. In 1997, Sebastien received an MBA from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and began his career as a marketing executive for Armani in Madrid and for Chanel in New York. Responding to his creative drive, he established The Point, a project space showcasing multimedia installations, which gradually morphed into his own curating and design practice, Formavision, eventually becoming Studio Sebastien Leon. Sebastien started his musical explorations in 2008 as he was commissioned by Bono's fashion label Edun to create a sound installation in collaboration with spoken-word artist Saul Williams and musician Kyle Fischer of Rainer Maria. Shortly afterwards, Sebastien and Kyle partnered with the Alan Lomax Foundation on a multi-channel sound installation called MMIX, for which they created a twelve-hour meditative music piece mixing their own music with some of Alan Lomax's field recordings. He just finished touring museums around the world with an organ-inspired installation composed of two thousand pipes commissioned by Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet. Currently, Sebastien is finishing Golden Horn, a permanent outdoor brass sculpture climbing a thirty-five-story tower in Istanbul which plays the sounds of its architecture. Sebastien recently released his solo record, Jeux d'Artifices, in collaboration with James Truman.
