Trong cuộc chiến Mỹ-Israel chống Iran, bùng lên từ cuối tháng 2/2026, có một ẩn số quan trọng : Phản ứng của lực lượng Houthi. Theo nhiều nhà quan sát, cho dù Houthi chỉ là một cộng đồng thiểu số tại Yemen, nhưng nếu lực lượng này quyết định tham chiến, tác động sẽ rất lớn đến khu vực. Vì sao ? Chiến tranh Iran : Houthi nhập cuộc ngày 28/03/2026 Sau gần một tháng kể từ đầu cuộc chiến, ngày 28/03, lực lượng Houthi tấn công Israel bằng tên lửa. Cuộc tấn công đã được thông báo vào hôm trước : Mục tiêu là để ngăn ngừa Israel và Mỹ leo thang quân sự chống Iran. Trên đài France 24, cựu đại sứ Pháp tại Qatar và Ả Rập Xê Út, Bertrand Besancenot, nhận định: « Đây là một tín hiệu quan trọng, theo tôi. Tín hiệu này cho thấy, thật không may, Teheran muốn khẳng định chúng ta đang ở trong giai đoạn leo thang xung đột. Do đó, việc lực lượng Houthi bắt đầu tham gia vào cuộc xung đột, bất chấp thỏa thuận ngừng bắn với Mỹ trước đó, rõ ràng có nghĩa là Teheran trên thực tế đã yêu cầu lực lượng Houthi can thiệp. » Từ thời điểm đó đến nay, quân Houthi dùng tên lửa đạn đạo oanh kích Israel ít nhất bốn lần vào các vị trí chiến lược, trong đó đáng chú ý có đợt tấn công ngày 02/04 cùng ngày với đợt oanh kích lớn nhất của Iran nhắm vào Israel từ đầu chiến tranh.   Tấn công Israel và cản trở giao thông ở Hồng Hải để phản đối chiến tranh của Israel tại Gaza Đây không phải là lần đầu quân Houthi tham chiến. Kể từ khi bùng nổ cuộc chiến tranh của Israel chống Hamas tại Gaza từ cuối năm 2023, để trả đũa vụ tấn công khủng bố của Hamas trên đất Israel, cái tên Houthi đã được thế giới biết đến rộng rãi. Tính đến đầu năm 2024, Houthi dùng ít nhất 40 tên lửa đạn đạo và hàng trăm drone tấn công Isarel, và khoảng 30 tàu thuyền trên biển Hồng Hải, nối liền Địa Trung Hải với Ấn Độ Dương. Ông David Rigoulet-Roze, nhà nghiên cứu tại Viện Phân tích chiến lược Pháp (Institut Français d'Analyse stratégique - IFAS), chuyên gia về Trung Đông và bán đảo Ả Rập, nhận định: « Sau ngày 7/10/2023, lực lượng Houthi là một trong các bên đầu tiên thể hiện ủng hộ về mặt quân sự đối với Hamas trong cuộc chiến ở Gaza. Đã có một kho vũ khí tồn tại dưới thời cựu tổng thống Saleh trước khi bị lật đổ, nhưng rõ ràng hệ thống vũ khí của lực lượng Houthi đã phát triển, nhờ sự hỗ trợ của người Iran, đặc biệt là Lực lượng Vệ binh Cách mạng, và của Hezbollah, giúp Houthi tăng cường khả năng tên lửa đạn đạo. » (Chương trình Arte Les Houthis : l'engrenage continue au Moyen-Orient ? / Lực lượng Houthi: Vòng xoáy bạo lực ở Trung Đông có tiếp tục?). Houthi là ai ? Lực lượng Houthi có tên gọi chính thức là Ansar Allah, tức « những người trung thành với Thượng Đế », được thành lập trong thập niên 1990, sau khi hai miền Yemen thống nhất dưới quyền lãnh đạo của gia tộc Saleh. Houthi là tên của nhà sáng lập phong trào Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi, thuộc bộ tộc Houthi, thành viên một trong ba liên minh bộ tộc lớn nhất ở vùng núi miền bắc Yemen. Nhà sáng lập Houthi thuộc tiểu nhánh Hồi giáo Zaydism, hệ phái Hồi giáo Shia. Zaydism là nhánh tôn giáo chiếm khoảng 20 đến 30% dân số Yemen (tiểu nhánh này có rất nhiều khác biệt so với nhánh imam thứ 12 / Twelver Shi'ism, cũng thuộc hệ phái Shia, là nhánh tôn giáo chủ lưu tại Iran). Phong trào vũ trang của Houthi chống chế độ bị cáo buộc tham nhũng và tàn bạo của gia tộc Saleh thân Ả Rập Xê Út bùng lên vào năm 2003 khi Mỹ tấn công Irak. Năm 2011, cách mạng bùng nổ tại Yemen trong bối cảnh phong trào Mùa Xuân Ả Rập. Tổng thống Saleh bị lật đổ. Nội chiến bùng lên năm 2014, với ba lực lượng chính : (1) phong trào ly khai muốn tái lập nước Nam Yemen, được Các Tiểu Vương Quốc Ả Rập Thống nhất hậu thuẫn,  (2) chính phủ Saleh lưu vong, được quốc tế công nhận, và (3) người Houthi.   Cách mạng, nội chiến và can thiệp nước ngoài: Houthi tìm hậu thuẫn của Iran Cuộc can thiệp quân sự của liên quân quốc tế do Ả Rập Xê Út đứng đầu, với hậu thuẫn của Mỹ nhằm tái lập chính phủ Saleh, kết thúc với thỏa thuận ngừng bắn năm 2022 dưới sự bảo trợ của Liên Hiệp Quốc. Gần 400.000 người thiệt mạng tại Yemen, trong 7 năm chiến tranh. Yemen hiện tại được coi là một trong những xứ sở khốn khổ nhất thế giới, với 18 triệu trong số hơn 40 triệu dân bị thiếu ăn trầm trọng, thiếu nước sạch và phương tiện y tế. Lực lượng Houthi hiện kiểm soát khoảng 30% lãnh thổ Yemen, tại các vùng rừng núi hiểm trở, và các địa bàn chiến lược chủ yếu, như các vùng ven biển và vùng giáp biên với Ả Rập Xê Út. Chính trong bối cảnh cách mạng, nội chiến và can thiệp nước ngoài này, quan hệ giữa Houthi và Iran được siết chặt. Bà Agnès Levallois, chủ tịch Viện Nghiên cứu Trung Đông Địa Trung Hải (IReMMO), chuyên về vùng Cận Đông, nhận định (chương trình của Arte) : « Chúng ta hãy trở lại năm 2015, khi Ả Rập Xê Út quyết định phát động chiến tranh chống lực lượng Houthi, nổi lên sau các cuộc biểu tình năm 2011 buộc tổng thống Saleh phải ra đi. Phong trào phản kháng Mùa Xuân Ả Rập 2011 cũng đã lan đến Yemen. Sau khi tổng thống Saleh ra đi, đã có những cuộc đối đầu giữa các lực lượng khác nhau cấu thành nên xã hội Yemen. Lực lượng Houthi là một thành phần của xã hội Yemen, chủ yếu là người Hồi giáo theo hệ phái Shia, đã tìm đến Iran để nhận được các hỗ trợ. Đây là chiến lược được xác lập trong bối cảnh các cuộc nổi dậy sau phong trào Mùa Xuân Ả Rập năm 2011. » Eo biển Bab el-Mandeb, một huyết mạch hàng hải Á – Âu Theo một báo cáo của Liên Hiệp Quốc, lực lượng Houthi vào năm 2024 có khoảng 350.000 binh sĩ. Một lá chủ bài của Houthi là eo biển Bab el-Mandeb, tuyến hàng hải gần nhất nối liền châu Á với châu Âu, nơi trung chuyển của khoảng 10% thương mại hàng hải quốc tế (xem thêm về eo biển Bal el-Mandeb trên trang CNES - Trung tâm nghiên cứu Không gian Quốc gia Pháp). Tướng Dominique Trinquand, cựu lãnh đạo phái bộ quân sự của Pháp tại Liên Hiệp Quốc, nhấn mạnh đến nguy cơ Houthi phong tỏa eo biển: « Điều này có thể dẫn đến hệ quả gì ? Có thể nói một cách đơn giản là xung đột sẽ được mở rộng. Ngoài eo biển Hormuz, còn có một eo biển cực kỳ quan trọng khác là eo biển Bab el-Mandeb ở Hồng Hải. Lực lượng Houthi đã từng gây thiệt hại và làm gián đoạn đáng kể khu vực này trong nhiều năm. Có một lực lượng  hải quân của châu Âu được triển khai để bảo vệ Hồng Hải. Nhưng nếu lực lượng Houthi quyết định nhập cuộc và nếu như họ vẫn có đủ tên lửa để ngăn chặn tuyến đường hàng hải đó, thì xung đột sẽ mở rộng và tình hình sẽ trở nên ngày càng phức tạp hơn, bởi với việc hai eo biển Hormuz và Bab el-Mandeb ở Hồng Hải bị ngăn chặn, không một con tàu nào có thể đi qua tại khu vực này. » Sẵn sàng tham gia cuộc chiến « bất cân xứng » chống đại cường Cho đến nay, lực lượng Houthi mới tấn công Israel và chưa có hành động ngăn cản tự do hàng hải tại eo biển Bab el-Mandeb, thỏa thuận hưu chiến với Mỹ vẫn được duy trì theo nhiều nhà quan sát, trái ngược với nhận định của cựu đại sứ Pháp tại Ả Rập Xê Út. Chuyên gia Viện Phân tích chiến lược Pháp David Rigoulet-Roze lưu ý, với cuộc tấn công này, lực lượng Houthi muốn bắn tín hiệu đến Mỹ và Ả Rập Xê Út (chương trình Arte) : « Ẩn dưới hành động này, phe Houthi đã ngầm gửi đi một thông điệp đến Mỹ và Ả Rập Xê Út. Cụ thể là lực lượng Houthi có khả năng lập một liên minh với Teheran để phản công. Điều quan trọng cần nhớ là kể từ năm 2015, lực lượng Houthi đã liên tục oanh kích Ả Rập Xê Út bằng tên lửa. Sân bay của Các Tiểu Vương Quốc Ả Rập Thống nhất cũng từng bị tấn công. Ả Rập Xê Út sẽ phải đối đầu với hai địch thủ. Đây là điều không thể bỏ qua, cho dù khả năng hoạt động của lực lượng Houthi vẫn còn bị hạn chế. Việc có thêm mối đe dọa tiềm tàng ở sau lưng, bên cạnh mối đe dọa trực tiếp từ Iran, quả thực là khiến Ả Rập Xê Út lâm vào thế khó. Vì vậy, lực lượng Houthi không chỉ gây khó cho riêng Israel, mà toàn bộ cấu trúc an ninh khu vực đang bị xáo trộn, với những hậu quả rất, rất khó lường. » Một số nhà quan sát, như chính trị gia Pháp Thierry Breton, cựu ủy viên Châu Âu, xem cuộc chiến Iran chống Mỹ là cuộc chiến tranh « bất cân xứng » chống lại đại cường, mang tầm vóc thế giới « đầu tiên » trong kỉ nguyên đương đại (bài « Cuộc chiến tranh thế giới bất cân xứng đầu tiên », Le Grand Continent, ngày 27/03/2026). Một bên với vũ khí tối tân, chi phí lớn, muốn tập trung kết thúc trong thời gian ngắn, bên kia chủ trương kéo dài chiến tranh với cường độ thấp. Trong chiến lược chiến tranh « bất cân xứng », lực lượng Houthi có thể đóng vai trò đắc lực khi đe dọa eo biển ở Hồng Hải, có thể tác động mạnh đến các nước trong khu vực, đặc biệt là Ai Cập, mà một phần lớn nền kinh tế dựa vào kênh đào Suez, buộc các nước gây áp lực với Mỹ chấm dứt chiến tranh.    Houthi : « Proxy » của Iran hay tự chủ về chiến lược ? Lực lượng Houthi rõ ràng là chỗ dựa đắc lực của chế độ Hồi giáo Iran trong cuộc đối đầu với đại cường Hoa Kỳ. Tuy nhiên, trong vấn đề này, giới quan sát có hai luồng quan điểm đối nghịch. Nếu như nhiều người, như chuyên gia David Rigoulet-Roze cho rằng Houthi là « lực lượng ủy nhiệm » (proxy) hay thế lực thừa hành mệnh lệnh từ Iran (cho dù tác giả có ghi nhận đây là một proxy không giống như các proxy khác), thì ông Élie Tenenbaum, Viện Quan hệ Quốc tế của Pháp (IFRI), phê phán việc lạm dụng khái niệm « proxy », và khẳng định tính chất tự chủ cao về chiến lược của người Houthi (chương trình Arte) : « Houthi và Iran là các tác nhân có quyền tự chủ chiến lược riêng. Họ xích lại gần nhau vì nhu cầu hợp tác. Ngược lại với trường hợp của lực lượng Hezbollah ở Liban, Houthi không phải do Iran lập ra. Chế độ Teheran không có chỗ đứng nào trong giai đoạn khởi nguồn của phong trào Houthi. Mối liên hệ với Iran chỉ dần dần gia tăng từ năm 2015. Ban đầu, hỗ trợ của Iran rất hạn chế. Có sự hỗ trợ về vũ khí và tài chính, và có cả việc chuyển giao công nghệ, nhưng các tên lửa của Yemen chẳng hạn không hoàn toàn là tên lửa của Iran, mà là những tên lửa sử dụng công nghệ của Iran, đã được Yemen chế tạo theo cách của mình ». Houthi, tuy tham gia « Trục kháng chiến », chống bá quyền của Mỹ và chủ nghĩa dân tộc Do Thái cực đoan (Sionism), do Iran đứng đầu, nhưng chủ động về chiến lược. Đó cũng là quan điểm của chuyên gia hàng đầu về Yemen, ông Bruce Riedel, nhà phân tích của cơ quan tình báo Mỹ CIA đã nghỉ hưu, cố vấn cấp cao bốn đời tổng thống Mỹ, tác giả cuốn « Nước Mỹ và người Yemen » (Tọa đàm trực tuyến do viện tư vấn Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, có trụ sở tại Washington, tổ chức đầu năm 2024). Hòa bình cho người Palestine, hòa bình và độc lập cho dân tộc Yemen là những mục tiêu chủ chốt mà lực lượng Houthi theo đuổi cho đến nay, theo nhiều chuyên gia về Yemen.

Nước Pháp, một trong những chiếc nôi của làng thời trang cao cấp, đã khai sinh nhiều thương hiệu nổi tiếng như Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Lanvin, Yves Saint-Laurent… Trong thập niên 1980, còn phải kể đến Ungaro, Mugler, Jean-Paul Gaultier hay Torrente do bà Rose Torrente sáng lập. Điều mà công chúng ít biết đến là bà Rose Torrente chính là em gái của nhà thiết kế trứ danh Ted Lapidus, cả hai đều là những nhân vật nổi bật trong làng thời trang quốc tế. Tuần lễ thời trang Paris (từ 04/03 đến 10/03/2026) rơi vào dịp kỷ niệm 40 năm ngày thành lập Viện đào tạo thời trang của Pháp (Institut Français de la Mode) do bà Rose Torrente chủ xướng và điều hành trong vòng hơn hai thập niên, từ năm 1986 đến năm 2011. Cũng trong tháng này, nhà sáng lập hiệu thời trang Torrente đã cho ra mắt tập sách tựa đề « Haute Couture : Mon siècle de mode » (Thế kỷ thời trang cao cấp của tôi), kể lại cuộc đời và sự nghiệp của mình, một hành trình đầy đam mê nhưng cũng lắm gian truân. Quyển sách này là một cách để nhắc nhở những đóng góp của tác giả cho ngành thời trang Pháp và hy vọng tên tuổi của mình sẽ được nhìn nhận một cách đúng mức hơn. Rose Torente cho biết kiểu áo thiết kế đầu tiên của bà : « Thiết kế đầu tiên của tôi là bộ áo cưới. Cho dù không biết may vá thêu thùa, nhưng tôi hình dung trong đầu kiểu áo mà tôi muốn mặc trong ngày thành hôn. Với sự giúp đỡ của các thợ may, tôi đã "tạo ra" kiểu áo hợp nhất với mình. Đến khi thành lập thương hiệu, tôi không thể lấy tên chồng (là Mett) để đặt cho công ty, tôi cũng không thể lấy danh hiệu trùng với anh trai tôi là Ted Lapidus. Vào thời bấy giờ, tôi chơi với một nhóm bạn rất thích những bài hát tiếng Ý. Thế rồi đột nhiên, cái tên ''Torrente'' lại tự nhiên xuất hiện trong tâm trí, và tôi thấy Torrente là một cái tên khá hay, nghe rất lọt tai. Đối với tôi, đó là một điềm lành ». Tên thật là Rosette Lapidus, bà sinh ra trong một gia đình khá nổi tiếng trong làng thời trang : thân phụ cũng như cháu ruột đều là thợ may, còn anh trai là nhà tạo mốt nổi tiếng, từng thiết kế trang phục cho các ngôi sao quốc tế như Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon hay John Lennon… Khi mới vào nghề, cô đã làm việc bên cạnh người anh trai trong mười năm với tư cách là trợ lý : « Gọi là trợ lý, nhưng thực ra tôi làm đủ mọi việc từ đầu đến cuối, kể cả làm người mẫu, mặc thử các bộ áo quần đang được thiết kế. Trong mười năm làm việc với Ted Lapidus, tôi đã quan sát cách làm việc của anh ấy và dĩ nhiên là Ted Lapidus đã truyền cho tôi nhiều cảm hứng sáng tạo. Từ áo khoác nhiều túi cho đến quần ghép nhiều mảnh theo kiểu safari, anh ấy thích may cho phụ nữ những bộ đồng phục nhưng vóc dáng vẫn thanh lịch sang trọng. Trong mắt của Ted Lapidus, phụ nữ thường thể hiện nét mạnh mẽ, dứt khoát thông qua cách ăn mặc của họ. Tôi thì lại hình dung ra những người phụ nữ dịu dàng hơn, trong những tà áo thướt tha mềm mại, đầy nữ tính và nét quyến rũ. Có thể nói, nhờ anh ấy mà tôi mới phát huy được năng khiếu thẩm mỹ nghệ thuật, chứ thời còn nhỏ, tôi không hề tưởng tượng rằng một ngày nào đó mình sẽ trở thành một nhà thiết kế ». Vào nghề thiết kế thời trang chủ yếu nhờ tự học, chứ không được đào tạo bài bản qua trường lớp, Rose Torrente đã mở cửa hàng đầu tiên vào năm 1969. Bà thiết kế trang phục một cách đơn giản, tôn vinh vẻ đẹp tự nhiên của phụ nữ, tuy nhiên bước khởi nghiệp khá gian nan, với nhiều điều kiện khắt khe từ phía giới chuyên ngành : « Sau khi làm việc với Lapidus, tôi đã giành được tự do, lập công ty riêng một cách nhanh chóng. Trong một thời gian ngắn, tôi đã tuyển bốn nhà thiết kế mới vào nghề để tạo ra những kiểu áo mới, một phong cách ăn mặc hợp thời. Vào thời ấy, chỉ có y phục may sẵn, thời trang cao cấp và các dòng xa xỉ phẩm. Tôi đã mở một cửa hàng ở số 9 đường Faubourg Saint Honoré, quận 8 Paris, nơi phụ nữ có thể tìm thấy những kiểu áo có nhiều chất lượng hơn so với y phục may sẵn, có thể mặc ban ngày nhưng đồng thời vẫn hợp với buổi tối trong những dịp vui chơi lễ hội. Đó là phong cách của hiệu Torrente ». Bà viết : « Khi tôi xin gia nhập nghiệp đoàn thời trang Pháp vào năm 1971, các điều kiện để được công nhận là "hiệu thời trang cao cấp" lúc bấy giờ rất khắt khe. Cũng may là trước đó, tôi đã làm đơn đăng ký cho anh tôi là Ted Lapidus, cho nên tôi biết đâu là những trở ngại, đâu là những cái bẫy cần phải tránh. Trong số các yêu cầu khắt khe, có quy định buộc công ty phải tuyển dụng 20 thợ may toàn thời gian, 7 người mẫu thường trú, công ty phải tổ chức thường xuyên các sự kiện qua hình thức showroom, và mỗi buổi ra mắt thường có khoảng 50 mẫu thiết kế. Các yêu cầu này tạo nhiều áp lực vì đòi hỏi rất nhiều công việc. Những ràng buộc đó khiến cho nhiều hiệu thời trang cao cấp bị phá sản, nếu không có hậu thuẫn tài chính, công ty buộc phải đóng cửa như trường hợp của Chistian Lacroix, Jean-Louis Scherrer và Emmanuel Ungaro, trong khi họ lại là những nhà thiết kế giỏi nhất. » Trong tập sách « Thế kỷ thời trang của tôi », Rose Torrente chia sẻ câu chuyện gia đình, kinh nghiệm của bà trong ngành thời trang. Thời kỳ huy hoàng của hiệu Torrente kéo dài trong ba thập niên : từ năm 1971 đến năm 2004. Tuy nổi tiếng ở nước ngoài, nhưng tên tuổi của Rose Torente, cũng như vai trò của nhiều phụ nữ khác trong ngành thời trang, vẫn ít được công nhận ở Pháp : « Thời nay, khách tham quan thường rủ nhau đến bảo tàng xem triển lãm. Nhưng điều lạ lùng là ngay trong các bảo tàng về thời trang hay nghệ thuật trang trí, tên tôi hầu như không được nhắc đến trong bất kỳ cuốn sách hay cuộc triển lãm nào, như thể tôi chưa từng tồn tại, cho dù vào những năm 1990, hiệu Torrente có đến hơn 80 cửa hàng tại Nhật Bản, Singapore, Trung Quốc hay tại New York. Thật là một điều bất công. Một số nhà phê bình cho rằng hiệu Torrente quá thương mại, chứ không có nhiều tính sáng tạo nghệ thuật. Có lẽ cũng vì khi vào nghề tôi không đeo đuổi khuynh hướng sáng tạo thời trang chỉ để phô trương.  Tôi không thích xu hướng thời trang "ngoạn mục" nặng tính trình diễn, hiểu theo nghĩa được dàn dựng cho sân khấu. Dĩ nhiên có nhiều người thích các kiểu áo dạ hội, mỗi kiểu áo thêu tay cần hơn 300 giờ làm việc. Khi nhìn, nhiều phụ nữ muốn mặc một kiểu áo công phu, đắt tiền, nhưng trên thực tế có rất ít người có thể ăn mặc như vậy. Riêng tôi chỉ mong là những kiểu trang phục Torrente được dành cho càng nhiều phụ nữ càng tốt, những kiểu trang phục có thể mặc vào bất cứ dịp nào, chứ không bị bỏ quên trong tủ áo. »   Bà Rose Torrente cũng từng đồng sáng lập Viện đào tạo Thời trang tại Pháp (Institut Français de la Mode), và giữ chức phó chủ tịch trong vòng 25 năm, trước khi giải nghệ về hưu vào năm 2005. Cũng như trường hợp của Jeanne Lanvin, bà Rose Torrente hy vọng là vai trò và vị trí của phụ nữ trong số các nhà thiết kế thời trang cao cấp, sẽ được giới chuyên ngành công nhận đúng mức : « Đó là lý do tại sao tôi viết cuốn sách này. Khi tôi ghé thăm trở lại Viện đào tạo Thời trang tại Pháp (IFM), tôi cảm thấy vui mừng khi nhìn thấy tất cả những gì thế hệ trẻ đang làm, họ muốn được đào tạo hầu duy trì và phát triển thời trang đất nước. Theo tôi nghĩ, chúng ta nên khuyên họ phát triển tính sáng tạo và đồng thời làm ra được những kiểu áo mà đa số mọi người có thể mặc. Sẽ là một điều sai lầm nếu cứ tiếp tục tạo ra những kiểu áo ngoạn mục, đập mắt chỉ vì muốn nổi bật trong các sự kiện, nhưng trên thực tế lại rất khó mặc. Điều khó nhất theo tôi vẫn là làm thế nào để dung hòa được thời trang "ấn tượng" bắt mắt với những thiết kế hợp thời mà dễ mặc. Nước Pháp có nhiều trường đào tạo tài năng để làm được những điều đó. Và những tài năng mới ấy cần có thêm càng nhiều cơ hội càng tốt. Đó là điều tôi mong muốn cho tất cả những nhà thiết kế trẻ tuổi ở Pháp. Đất nước may mắn có một quan hệ gắn bó từ lâu với ngành thời trang, một hành trình lâu đời mà thế hệ trước có thể truyền lại cho thế hệ sau. »

Nước Pháp, một trong những chiếc nôi của làng thời trang cao cấp, đã khai sinh nhiều thương hiệu nổi tiếng như Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Lanvin, Yves Saint-Laurent… Trong thập niên 1980, còn phải kể đến Ungaro, Mugler, Jean-Paul Gaultier hay Torrente do bà Rose Torrente sáng lập. Điều mà công chúng ít biết đến là bà Rose Torrente chính là em gái của nhà thiết kế trứ danh Ted Lapidus, cả hai đều là những nhân vật nổi bật trong làng thời trang quốc tế. Tuần lễ thời trang Paris (từ 04/03 đến 10/03/2026) rơi vào dịp kỷ niệm 40 năm ngày thành lập Viện đào tạo thời trang của Pháp (Institut Français de la Mode) do bà Rose Torrente chủ xướng và điều hành trong vòng hơn hai thập niên, từ năm 1986 đến năm 2011. Cũng trong tháng này, nhà sáng lập hiệu thời trang Torrente đã cho ra mắt tập sách tựa đề « Haute Couture : Mon siècle de mode » (Thế kỷ thời trang cao cấp của tôi), kể lại cuộc đời và sự nghiệp của mình, một hành trình đầy đam mê nhưng cũng lắm gian truân. Quyển sách này là một cách để nhắc nhở những đóng góp của tác giả cho ngành thời trang Pháp và hy vọng tên tuổi của mình sẽ được nhìn nhận một cách đúng mức hơn. Rose Torente cho biết kiểu áo thiết kế đầu tiên của bà : « Thiết kế đầu tiên của tôi là bộ áo cưới. Cho dù không biết may vá thêu thùa, nhưng tôi hình dung trong đầu kiểu áo mà tôi muốn mặc trong ngày thành hôn. Với sự giúp đỡ của các thợ may, tôi đã "tạo ra" kiểu áo hợp nhất với mình. Đến khi thành lập thương hiệu, tôi không thể lấy tên chồng (là Mett) để đặt cho công ty, tôi cũng không thể lấy danh hiệu trùng với anh trai tôi là Ted Lapidus. Vào thời bấy giờ, tôi chơi với một nhóm bạn rất thích những bài hát tiếng Ý. Thế rồi đột nhiên, cái tên ''Torrente'' lại tự nhiên xuất hiện trong tâm trí, và tôi thấy Torrente là một cái tên khá hay, nghe rất lọt tai. Đối với tôi, đó là một điềm lành ». Tên thật là Rosette Lapidus, bà sinh ra trong một gia đình khá nổi tiếng trong làng thời trang : thân phụ cũng như cháu ruột đều là thợ may, còn anh trai là nhà tạo mốt nổi tiếng, từng thiết kế trang phục cho các ngôi sao quốc tế như Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon hay John Lennon… Khi mới vào nghề, cô đã làm việc bên cạnh người anh trai trong mười năm với tư cách là trợ lý : « Gọi là trợ lý, nhưng thực ra tôi làm đủ mọi việc từ đầu đến cuối, kể cả làm người mẫu, mặc thử các bộ áo quần đang được thiết kế. Trong mười năm làm việc với Ted Lapidus, tôi đã quan sát cách làm việc của anh ấy và dĩ nhiên là Ted Lapidus đã truyền cho tôi nhiều cảm hứng sáng tạo. Từ áo khoác nhiều túi cho đến quần ghép nhiều mảnh theo kiểu safari, anh ấy thích may cho phụ nữ những bộ đồng phục nhưng vóc dáng vẫn thanh lịch sang trọng. Trong mắt của Ted Lapidus, phụ nữ thường thể hiện nét mạnh mẽ, dứt khoát thông qua cách ăn mặc của họ. Tôi thì lại hình dung ra những người phụ nữ dịu dàng hơn, trong những tà áo thướt tha mềm mại, đầy nữ tính và nét quyến rũ. Có thể nói, nhờ anh ấy mà tôi mới phát huy được năng khiếu thẩm mỹ nghệ thuật, chứ thời còn nhỏ, tôi không hề tưởng tượng rằng một ngày nào đó mình sẽ trở thành một nhà thiết kế ». Vào nghề thiết kế thời trang chủ yếu nhờ tự học, chứ không được đào tạo bài bản qua trường lớp, Rose Torrente đã mở cửa hàng đầu tiên vào năm 1969. Bà thiết kế trang phục một cách đơn giản, tôn vinh vẻ đẹp tự nhiên của phụ nữ, tuy nhiên bước khởi nghiệp khá gian nan, với nhiều điều kiện khắt khe từ phía giới chuyên ngành : « Sau khi làm việc với Lapidus, tôi đã giành được tự do, lập công ty riêng một cách nhanh chóng. Trong một thời gian ngắn, tôi đã tuyển bốn nhà thiết kế mới vào nghề để tạo ra những kiểu áo mới, một phong cách ăn mặc hợp thời. Vào thời ấy, chỉ có y phục may sẵn, thời trang cao cấp và các dòng xa xỉ phẩm. Tôi đã mở một cửa hàng ở số 9 đường Faubourg Saint Honoré, quận 8 Paris, nơi phụ nữ có thể tìm thấy những kiểu áo có nhiều chất lượng hơn so với y phục may sẵn, có thể mặc ban ngày nhưng đồng thời vẫn hợp với buổi tối trong những dịp vui chơi lễ hội. Đó là phong cách của hiệu Torrente ». Bà viết : « Khi tôi xin gia nhập nghiệp đoàn thời trang Pháp vào năm 1971, các điều kiện để được công nhận là "hiệu thời trang cao cấp" lúc bấy giờ rất khắt khe. Cũng may là trước đó, tôi đã làm đơn đăng ký cho anh tôi là Ted Lapidus, cho nên tôi biết đâu là những trở ngại, đâu là những cái bẫy cần phải tránh. Trong số các yêu cầu khắt khe, có quy định buộc công ty phải tuyển dụng 20 thợ may toàn thời gian, 7 người mẫu thường trú, công ty phải tổ chức thường xuyên các sự kiện qua hình thức showroom, và mỗi buổi ra mắt thường có khoảng 50 mẫu thiết kế. Các yêu cầu này tạo nhiều áp lực vì đòi hỏi rất nhiều công việc. Những ràng buộc đó khiến cho nhiều hiệu thời trang cao cấp bị phá sản, nếu không có hậu thuẫn tài chính, công ty buộc phải đóng cửa như trường hợp của Chistian Lacroix, Jean-Louis Scherrer và Emmanuel Ungaro, trong khi họ lại là những nhà thiết kế giỏi nhất. » Trong tập sách « Thế kỷ thời trang của tôi », Rose Torrente chia sẻ câu chuyện gia đình, kinh nghiệm của bà trong ngành thời trang. Thời kỳ huy hoàng của hiệu Torrente kéo dài trong ba thập niên : từ năm 1971 đến năm 2004. Tuy nổi tiếng ở nước ngoài, nhưng tên tuổi của Rose Torente, cũng như vai trò của nhiều phụ nữ khác trong ngành thời trang, vẫn ít được công nhận ở Pháp : « Thời nay, khách tham quan thường rủ nhau đến bảo tàng xem triển lãm. Nhưng điều lạ lùng là ngay trong các bảo tàng về thời trang hay nghệ thuật trang trí, tên tôi hầu như không được nhắc đến trong bất kỳ cuốn sách hay cuộc triển lãm nào, như thể tôi chưa từng tồn tại, cho dù vào những năm 1990, hiệu Torrente có đến hơn 80 cửa hàng tại Nhật Bản, Singapore, Trung Quốc hay tại New York. Thật là một điều bất công. Một số nhà phê bình cho rằng hiệu Torrente quá thương mại, chứ không có nhiều tính sáng tạo nghệ thuật. Có lẽ cũng vì khi vào nghề tôi không đeo đuổi khuynh hướng sáng tạo thời trang chỉ để phô trương.  Tôi không thích xu hướng thời trang "ngoạn mục" nặng tính trình diễn, hiểu theo nghĩa được dàn dựng cho sân khấu. Dĩ nhiên có nhiều người thích các kiểu áo dạ hội, mỗi kiểu áo thêu tay cần hơn 300 giờ làm việc. Khi nhìn, nhiều phụ nữ muốn mặc một kiểu áo công phu, đắt tiền, nhưng trên thực tế có rất ít người có thể ăn mặc như vậy. Riêng tôi chỉ mong là những kiểu trang phục Torrente được dành cho càng nhiều phụ nữ càng tốt, những kiểu trang phục có thể mặc vào bất cứ dịp nào, chứ không bị bỏ quên trong tủ áo. »   Bà Rose Torrente cũng từng đồng sáng lập Viện đào tạo Thời trang tại Pháp (Institut Français de la Mode), và giữ chức phó chủ tịch trong vòng 25 năm, trước khi giải nghệ về hưu vào năm 2005. Cũng như trường hợp của Jeanne Lanvin, bà Rose Torrente hy vọng là vai trò và vị trí của phụ nữ trong số các nhà thiết kế thời trang cao cấp, sẽ được giới chuyên ngành công nhận đúng mức : « Đó là lý do tại sao tôi viết cuốn sách này. Khi tôi ghé thăm trở lại Viện đào tạo Thời trang tại Pháp (IFM), tôi cảm thấy vui mừng khi nhìn thấy tất cả những gì thế hệ trẻ đang làm, họ muốn được đào tạo hầu duy trì và phát triển thời trang đất nước. Theo tôi nghĩ, chúng ta nên khuyên họ phát triển tính sáng tạo và đồng thời làm ra được những kiểu áo mà đa số mọi người có thể mặc. Sẽ là một điều sai lầm nếu cứ tiếp tục tạo ra những kiểu áo ngoạn mục, đập mắt chỉ vì muốn nổi bật trong các sự kiện, nhưng trên thực tế lại rất khó mặc. Điều khó nhất theo tôi vẫn là làm thế nào để dung hòa được thời trang "ấn tượng" bắt mắt với những thiết kế hợp thời mà dễ mặc. Nước Pháp có nhiều trường đào tạo tài năng để làm được những điều đó. Và những tài năng mới ấy cần có thêm càng nhiều cơ hội càng tốt. Đó là điều tôi mong muốn cho tất cả những nhà thiết kế trẻ tuổi ở Pháp. Đất nước may mắn có một quan hệ gắn bó từ lâu với ngành thời trang, một hành trình lâu đời mà thế hệ trước có thể truyền lại cho thế hệ sau. »

Elles suscitent scepticisme et inquiétudes. Les experts jugent le calendrier irréaliste, et le budget annoncé – 175 milliards de dollars – largement sous-estimé. C dans l'air du 30 avril 2025 - 100 jours de Trump... Hold-up sur l'Amérique !"Nous ne faisons que commencer, vous n'avez encore rien vu". Pour fêter ses 100 premiers jours à la Maison-Blanche, Donald Trump a tenu hier dans le Michigan devant ses partisans un discours d'autosatisfaction sur son début de mandat, vantant les "100 jours les plus réussis" de l'histoire américaine. "Nous sauvons le rêve américain. Nous rendons à l'Amérique sa grandeur et nous le faisons vite", a lancé le président américain, devant des pancartes célébrant "100 jours d'excellence". Pourtant, les sondages et la situation économique du pays disent le contraire. À peine 39 % des Américains approuvent désormais la manière dont le milliardaire conduit le pays, soit le chiffre le plus bas obtenu par un président des États-Unis au cap des 100 jours depuis 80 ans. Parmi les promesses de campagne de Donald Trump, il y avait celle de baisser les prix dès le premier jour. Mais, sa politique chaotique sur les frais de douane a eu l'effet inverse. La guerre commerciale lancée par le président américain entraine une inflation grandissante et le pays qui avait la croissance la plus forte des pays occidentaux voit ressurgir la crainte d'une récession. 72 % des Américains dans une enquêtes pour le Washington Post et ABC News estiment que sa politique économique causera une récession à court terme, un avis partagé par 51 % des Républicains."Tout ira bien", a tenté de rassurer mardi soir sur ABC Donald Trump, estimant que les droits de douane massifs visant la Chine étaient une «bonne» chose et que Pékin les avait "mérités". Mais sa politique économique n'est pas le seul point qui mécontente les Américains. Toujours dans cette enquête, 64 % des personnes interrogées jugent qu'il va "trop loin" dans sa tentative d'étendre les pouvoirs présidentiels et 62 % qu'il ne respecte pas l'État de droit. Un assaut mené à coup de décrets présidentiels. Donald Trump en a déjà signé plus de 140, alors qu'aucun texte majeur n'a été voté par le Congrès. Contournant la branche législative, le président essaie de gouverner presque exclusivement par décrets, résumait sur notre plateau hier la juriste Anne Deysine. Y compris sur des questions qui dépassent largement les compétences du chef de l'Etat, comme la fermeture d'agences fédérales ou la suppression du droit du sol, contrevenant à la loi et à la Constitution.En parallèle, Donald Trump a dans son viseur les contre-pouvoirs. Il cherche notamment à éroder l'indépendance de la branche judiciaire, chargée de statuer sur les dizaines de recours entamés contre sa politique. Parmi les cibles du républicain : les avocats mais aussi les juges contre qui il multiplie les menaces. Mi-mars, il avait ainsi appelé à la destitution de James Boasberg, un magistrat qui avait suspendu l'expulsion de migrants vénézuéliens et ces derniers jours le FBI a arrêté une juge en plein tribunal pour "entrave" à l'arrestation d'un migrant. Le président américain poursuit aussi ses attaques contre les journalistes et ce qu'il appelle les "médias fake news" dont le travail ne lui convient pas. Depuis 2016, Donald Trump multiplie les invectives voire les insultes contre les journalistes, mais depuis son élection il s'est engagé dans des procès pour diffamation contre plusieurs chaînes de télévision, notamment CBS. En réclamant à la chaîne pas moins de 20 milliards de dollars pour avoir soi-disant manipulé une interview de Kamala Harris, le Président a obtenu la tête du producteur du magazine d'investigation "60 Minutes", Bill Owens. Devenu la bête noire de Donald Trump, ce dernier a démissionné le 22 avril dernier, au motif que "ces derniers mois, il est apparu clairement que je ne serai plus autorisé à diriger l'émission comme je l'ai toujours fait. A prendre des décisions indépendantes, basées sur ce qui est bon pour 60 Minutes, et pour le public". Tout cela quelques semaines après que le network concurrent, ABC a accepté de verser 15 millions de dollars pour financer "une fondation et un musée" dédiés à Donald Trump.Alors quel est le bilan du début de mandat de Donald Trump ? C'est en ces termes que le premier ministre britannique, Keir Starmer, a démarré aujourd'hui son sommet par visioconférence avec vingt-cinq dirigeants alliés de l'Ukraine. Si Volodymyr Zelensky a accepté sans conditions un cessez-le-feu de trente jours, le maître du Kremlin semble en effet vouloir faire durer les choses. C dans l'air du 13 mars 2025 - Poutine: "La Russie soutient la trêve"L'accord de cessez-le-feu conclu mardi entre l'Ukraine et les États-Unis attend toujours l'aval russe alors que sur le front, la trêve semble encore loin, notamment dans la région russe de Koursk, en partie envahie par l'armée ukrainiens depuis août 2024 et que les Russes sont en train de reprendre. C'est dans ce territoire frontalier de l'Ukraine que Vladimir Poutine a effectué une rare visite sur le terrain mercredi soir. Vêtu d'un uniforme militaire, il a ordonné à ses troupes de "libérer complètement" la région Koursk et de poursuivre les opérations en territoire ukrainien. Il a également demandé que les soldats ukrainiens capturés soient "traités comme des terroristes". Le chef d'Etat russe qui est resté silencieux sur la proposition d'un cessez-le-feu de 30 jours devrait s'exprimer aujourd'hui à l'occasion d'une conférence de presse prévue dans la foulée de sa rencontre avec son homologue biélorusse. Mais en fin de matinée, son conseiller diplomatique a déjà indiqué qu'un cessez-le-feu donnerait "un répit" à l'armée ukrainienne et qu'il n'est "pas propice" à un règlement "durable" du conflit. La Russie a également averti qu'elle considérerait l'envoi de soldats de la paix européens en Ukraine comme un "conflit armé direct" avec Moscou. Le président ukrainien Volodymyr Zelensky a dénoncé ce jeudi l'absence de réponse russe à la proposition américaine de trêve de 30 jours en Ukraine, accusant Moscou de chercher à "prolonger la guerre". "Nous espérons que la pression des États-Unis" permettra de "contraindre la Russie à mettre fin à la guerre", a-t-il ajouté.Des négociateurs américains ont décollé mercredi pour la Russie en vue d'obtenir un feu vert à la proposition d'un cessez-le-feu. De son côté Donald Trump a dit espérer que Vladimir Poutine acceptera un cessez-le-feu et menacé le Kremlin de représailles économiques en cas de refus. « Sur le plan financier, je peux faire des choses qui seraient très mauvaises pour la Russie. Je ne veux pas faire ça parce que je veux la paix", a-t-il ainsi lancé, laissant planer le doute sur ses pensées exactes. Le président américain devrait s'entretenir dans la semaine avec le maître du Kremlin. D'ici là, Donald Trump poursuit sa guerre commerciale, avec l'entrée en vigueur d'une taxe de 25 % sur les importations d'acier et l'aluminium, avant toute une série d‘autres produits taxés à partir du 1er avril. L'Europe dans la foulée a annoncé hier la riposte et Donald Trump a menacé de répondre à la décision de Bruxelles en taxant de 200 % le champagne et les vins français et européens. Un jeu de ping-pong qui fait reculer la Bourse de Paris ce jeudi et déstabilise Wall Street depuis dimanche. Optimistes après l'élection, les marchés redoutent désormais l'impact d'une guerre commerciale menée par le président américain. Inquiets, les investisseurs craignent les conséquences de sa politique économique alors que se multiplient les signaux d'alerte. Ainsi les dépenses de consommation des ménages américains ont baissé en janvier 2025, la bourse connaît une dégringolade, en particulier chez certaines places fortes comme Tesla. Le chômage a connu une hausse en février et la prévision de croissance américaine pour le premier trimestre 2025 est désormais de - 1,5 %.Parallèlement, ces derniers jours, les témoignages de salariés fédéraux licenciés quelques mois après avoir déposé un bulletin au nom du candidat républicain dans les urnes se multiplient dans les médias américains et sur les réseaux sociaux. En un mois, ce sont plus de 60 000 Américains qui ont dû précipitamment faire leurs cartons, victimes inattendues des brutales coupes budgétaires opérées par Elon Musk et ses équipes. Et c'est loin d'être terminé. Le ministère américain de l'Éducation, que Donald Trump entend supprimer, a annoncé le licenciement de près de la moitié de son personnel avant son démantèlement complet, alors que 23 postes, dont celui de la scientifique en chef, vont être supprimés à la Nasa. Au-delà de réduire drastiquement le nombre de ses fonctionnaires, Donald Trump s'en prend aussi aux scientifiques et à la recherche. Une politique qui passe par le licenciement de nombreux chercheurs, la réduction des budgets mais aussi par la suppression de très nombreuses données et de très nombreux travaux. Des milliers de pages web sur un certain nombre de sites d'agences fédérales ont été supprimées de façon assez systématique car elles contenaient des termes désormais interdits, qu'on ne peut plus utiliser à la fois dans la communication mais également dans la recherche. "Équité", "femme", "trauma", "inégalité", "injustices", "racisme", "pollution" sont tous autant de termes qui désormais posent problème à l'administration de Donald Trump. Des photos sont également effacées par l'armée américaine. D'après une enquête de l'Associated Press, au moins vingt-six mille photos des archives numériques du Pentagone devraient être supprimées pour gommer toute référence aux programmes favorisant "diversité, équité et inclusion". Le conflit en Israël, depuis les attaques terroristes du Hamas le 7 octobre 2023 et la riposte menée par Tel Aviv à Gaza, n'a de cesse de voir se multiplier les points de tension dans toute la région. Les frontières de l'épicentre sont dépassées depuis longtemps. En Irak et en Syrie, les milices chiites pro-iraniennes multiplient les tirs contre des cibles américaines. En mer Rouge, les houthistes yéménites proches de l'Iran envoient leurs missiles contre les navires étrangers. L'armée israélienne et le Hezbollah, bras armé de l'Iran au Liban, s'affrontent sans cesse dans la zone frontalière. Un climat de tension qui se généralise et dont a su profiter l'Organisation État Islamique qui a revendiqué l'attentat meurtrier à Kerman en Iran, le 3 janvier. Sans compter les assassinats ciblés : celui du général iranien Reza Mouzavi tué à Damas dans une frappe attribuée à Israël. L'État hébreu qui est également accusé d'être derrière l'élimination de haut gradés du Hamas ou du Hezbollah libanais.Alors que le Pentagone avait entamé une phase de désengagement militaire dans la région, il est contraint de redéployer des forces armées. Depuis octobre 2023, plus de 15 000 marins américains sont mobilisés dans la Méditerranée et dans le Golfe Persique afin de constituer une bulle de protection autour de l'État hébreu. Les Américains pourront-ils tenir cette posture indéfiniment alors qu'ils sont la cible des mouvements de l'axe de « la résistance » affiliés à Téhéran ? Téhéran qui entend bien surfer sur  la guerre pour se renforcer au Moyen-Orient. L'Iran a, cette semaine, élargi son spectre des représailles à l'attentat qui l'a frappé début janvier 2024 en attaquant au Pakistan le quartier général du groupe jihadiste iranien Jaish al-Adi (armée de la justice en arabe). As white and mixed-race refugees escaped to the safety of U.S. cities, Americans were forced to confront the paradox of being a slaveholding republic, recognizing their own possible destiny in the predicament of the Haitian slaveholders. Historian Ashli White examines the ways Americans―black and white, northern and southern, Federalist and Democratic Republican, pro- and antislavery―pondered the implications of the Haitian Revolution. Encountering Revolution convincingly situates the formation of the United States in a broader Atlantic context. Ruedi Baur, Designer, Frankreich und Schweiz, geboren 1956 in Paris. Ausbildung als Grafikdesigner bei Michael Baviera und an der Hochschule der Künste (ZHdK) Zürich. 1984 gründete er das Atelier Baur, Baviera, Vetter Lyon / Milano / Zürich, und 1989 in Paris, das transdisziplinäre Design Netzwerk Integral Concept. Bis 2023 leitete er die interdisziplinäre Design Studios Integral Ruedi Baur später Integral Designers in Paris oder Zürich. In 2011 gründet er mit Vera Baur das Institut Civic City, und 2019 das Design-Laboratorium Ruedi & Vera Baur, dix-milliards-humains. Baurs wissenschaftliche Expertise manifestiert sich in seiner breiten internationalen Lehr-, Vortrags- und Forschungspraxis seit 1987. Neben einer Professur für Grafikdesign war er von 1995 bis 2004 Rektor der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig. Anschließend gründete und leitete er das Forschungsinstitut design2context an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, das er 2012 in das Institut für kritische Designforschung Civic City in Genf und Paris umwandelte. Seit 2013 ist er Professor in der Abteilung für Grafikdesign an der École des Arts Décoratifs, Paris und der Hochschule für Kunst und Design, Genf (Head). The American revolution had many fathers.  But Stacy Schiff paints a picture of Samuel Adams—the cash-strapped publisher and political leader from Boston—as, perhaps, the essential founder whose spirit and maneuvering shaped so many of the seminal events of the revolutionary era. Schiff is the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “The Witches: Salem, 1692,” “Cleopatra: A Life,” which was one of the New York Times's Top Ten Books of 2010 and won the PEN/Jacqueline Bograd Weld Award for biography and was translated into 30 languages.  Schiff is also the author of “Véra” (Mrs. Vladimir Nabokov), winner of the Pulitzer Prize; “Saint-Exupéry,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and “A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France, and the Birth of America,” which was the winner of the George Washington Book Prize, the Ambassador Award in American Studies, and the Gilbert Chinard Prize of the Institut Français d'Amérique.  She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities and was a Director's Fellow at the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library. Among other honors, she was named a 2011 Library Lion by the New York Public Library, a Boston Public Library Literary Light in 2016, and in 2017 received the Lifetime Achievement Award in History and Biography from the New England Historic Genealogical Society.
