Taylor Swift, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez are just some of the stars that Sicily-born Fausto Puglisi has dressed with his designs. Known for his bold, vivid creations and intricate craftsmanship that often draws inspiration from classical art and Sicilian culture, in 2020 Puglisi became creative director of the iconic fashion house Cavalli. Mixing modern glamor, baroque motifs, and vibrant patterns, Fausto Puglisi always had a sense that he'd end up in fashion. The evidence is in his childhood journals, which outline his real estate dreams for future stores, down to the street numbers. But what made him enamored with the craft wasn't so much the traditional runway. It was the pop culture he was obsessed with from a young age, which inspired him to move to New York by himself, to try to make his dreams come true. Join us in this new episode of The Accutron Show, to soar into the fantastic universe of celebrity culture.EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS9:35 When I was a kid in Sicily, I used to dream of going to America. It was the 80s, a time when Italian fashion was led by iconic names such as Versace, Valentino, Armani, Gianfranco Ferré. And in the city where I was born, there was a shop where I would go to see women wearing these amazing designers. This tension between the love of my roots and the desire to escape are at the base of my creations. 22:00 Though being 100% Italian, Roberto Cavalli was very fascinated with American culture too. He started creating jeans that were masterpieces, deconstructing them and reassembling them in completely creative ways. At the same time he was fascinated with animal skin, which he brought into this fascination of Americana. He created a very unique style that is still considered iconic. 35:00 We need to go back to the artisanal aspect of fashion and design. I also fight for quality and for beauty. Today we are saturated with clothes, objects etc. We need to bring that back to the craftsmanship.

Dinner for Shoes is a podcast by Sarah Wasilak, a fashion and food enthusiast with her mouth full. With appearances by her cats, Trish and Kit, and agendas that almost always go to shit, we aim to dive into a discussion about style and break some bread in each episode. In episode three, Wine, Wraps + Runway Trends, Sarah hones in on the fashion trends for the spring/summer 2024 season based on the collections unveiled in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. She also pinpoints her favorite looks and discusses some of the designer shakeups at each house, such as Sabato De Sarno's debut for Gucci. It's also the first time Phillip Lim has shown a runway collection at New York Fashion Week since 2019. She tries very hard to pronounce everyone's name correctly. Sarah “wraps” up Fashion Month by twisting open a mini bottle of Sutter Home Pinot Grigio and ordering a fried chicken Caesar wrap from Alessio's Cafe in Hoboken. Trish and Kit are thoroughly engaged in the trend conversation. Dinner for Shoes podcast episodes are released weekly on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple. We wrap up the remaining parts of Rachel's interview with B*thenny, the number one podcast in the whole entire world! In Atlanta we talk about why Ralph is jealous of Drew plus Bob bringing his girlfriend/daughter. Do you think Sheree knew about her previously? RHONY celebrates a 10 year marriage with a vow renewal and Erin always having an issue with everyone. We want to know more about this Fried Chicken Committee, btw. Orange County is having its Renaissance Era with Shannon maybe figuring out that the call is coming from inside the house (literally, it's her..). We can't get enough of Heather not saying anything in front of the girls but saying everything in her confessional and an inside look at her $14 million Roberto Cavalli apartment. And we love when they break the fourth wall, come judge with us! Oggi in studio con noi Elisa True Crime, ma perché le donne amano tanto i podcast crime? Roberto Cavalli è diventato papà a 82 anni.
This week Anna Grace is joined by guest host, Taylor McGowan. We cover the shows you need to know from London and Milan Fashion Week FW23. While the overall vibe of most of the runway shows were drab (think brown, sellable workwear- boring!), a few managed to catch our eye. Some heritage fashion brands are bringing in young designers to breathe new life into these old houses. Daniel Lee makes his debut at Burberry- spoiler alert, we love it! Over at Roberto Cavalli, Fausto Puglisi delivered all of the Cavalli essentials- sex appeal, animal print and denim. Plus, did Filippo Grazioli at Missoni just make the must have dress of the season? One of the best part about London Fashion Week is that is always shines a light on smaller, less known designers. Johanna Prav delivered a forward thinking, utilitarian collection for the modern woman who bikes to work. LFW also showcased several Ukrainian designers, like Frolov who recently dressed Beyonce for the Atlantis hotel in Dubai's secret opening event. Equally passionate and skilled in both the creative and business sides of the industry she describes her unique approach in three words... Creative Thinking Fashioneering In this episode, Kate talks with Holly Cole about how powerfully the word "no" influenced her career path from designer to merchant to entrepreneur.

DJ Pierre Ravan. ONE OF THE FIRST SPIRITUAL HOUSE DJS IN THE WORLD.DJ, producer, certified Yoga teacher, Heartfulness Meditation trainer, high-end fashion collaborator and global club-headliner.It's fair to say Pierre Ravan has done more than most during his three decades in dance music.Impressively, Pierre is one of the first to combine feel-good music, Yoga and Heartfulness meditation into his KaRavan concept. Often billed as the first Spiritual House DJ in the world, his KaRavan concept combines yoga, meditation and open-hearted music into one session, creating true dancefloor unity. And it's been hugely successful. He's been head-hunted to work alongside the UAE and Indian Governments to conduct Meditation and Yoga classes for Free to all people in the society. And he's a big draw at festivals, having taken his KaRavan concept to Defected Croatia, Sunburn in Goa and International Yoga festivals. The KaRavan concept has also been translated into 10 compilation albums that perfectly encapsulate his blend of dancefloor spirituality. Alongside that, Pierre is one of the most important DJs in the fashion world. It's almost quicker to list the names he's not worked with, having created fashion catwalk soundtracks for Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Jean-Paul Gaultier and the first-ever Paco Rabanne nightclub show. During his career, he's also been the official DJ for Mac/Estee Lauder, DKNY, Galliano and more. That success has been translated into the club circuit as well. His passport is packed with entry stamps to countries around the world. Some of his most- profile gigs include Space, Privilege and Pacha in Ibiza, Space Miami and 1015 Folsom in San Francisco, Discotheque in Barcelona, Ministry of Sound in London, Cafe Del Mar in Mumbai and dozens more across Europe, Asia, America and the Middle East. Away from the decks and catwalks, he's a noted music producer, blending his Persian heritage with his spiritual musical mantra to create a breathtaking array of music spanning chill out plus a darker, late-night deeptek sound. To date, he's released several artist albums and worked with global labels like EMI/Capitol and Virgin, plus cutting-edge labels including Yoshitoshi, Peppermint Jam, Kingstreet and more. If you only have time to check out one release, make sure it's his KaRavan triple album. The 24-hour journey starts at dawn and builds through sunset, midnight and sunrise, creating a seamless and timeless dance music journey all about peace, love and unity. Pierre is in Bangalore for a special performance at RESET in Koramangala on May 26th, 2022. Note: All tracks played in this recording belong to DJ Pierre Ravan.

Heyyy yyoooo! We are baaaaackkkk with another Red Carpet review. This time it's the 2022 Grammys Fashions. There is A LOT to unpack: What we loved, what we hated and who needed a mirror. Nolan, our Fairy Gay Mother, returns with insights that only Nolan can share. As always, we offer our disclaimer up front: strong opinions usually require strong, yet hilarious, language. Get this episode today at https://apple.co/2XXKHfC! Ok, let's go: your favorite personal stylists Holly and Nolan share their LOVES and HATES, and of course, they rarely agree. Holly's LOVES Dua Lipa in a ‘90s Donatella Versace iconic bondage dress. This was supreme, and no argument here. Tiffany Haddish in a shimmering gold Prada statuesque gown. Tiffany's style is a favorite of Holly's, and this outfit reigns at “Queen” level! Olivia Rodrigo in Vivienne Westwood. Holly LOVES as she is giving off serious Morticia Addams vibes. She's here for it. Nolan is “Meh.” Giveon in custom Chanel for men. Nolan is loves this, but not dying over it.. Holly thinks Giveon is gorgeous, and that he is wearing that suit, honey. Chloe Bailey in Valentino with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. She looks like a disco ball, and Holly is all the way here for it. Allison Russell in Delcore. Holly can't say enough. GORG. GIN. A. Nolan basically says nothing…. Saweetie in custom pink Valentino. To. Die. For. Halsey in Pressiat with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. This was a hard “NO” for Nolan. Holly loves a hat moment, a glove moment, a Halsey moment…… Avril Lavigne, on her first Grammys red carpet in 19 years, stunned in a tulle gown that Holly LOVED, but the studded wedge sandals she paired with the dress made Nolan go ballistic. Nolan says wedges are for barbeques in the Hamptons. Period. Holly said that is completely rude. SZA in Jean Paul Gaultier tulle gown. Nolan feels it was cheaply made and looks like it. Holly: LOVING THIS. Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton with Maison Boucheron jewelry. It's a look. Doja Cat in Atelier Versace. Holly thinks it looks like a leotard with a sheer overlay. I mean, okay, girl. However, she can pull it off. Nolan is sick of everyone over-doing every outfit with unnecessary accessories. Her pearl-encrusted sheer overlay was going to make for some uncomfortable sitting. #ouch Chrissy Teigan in pink (Oscars-type gown) from Nicole + Felicia (NOT couture, as Nolan notes). Chrissy always brings it, and this was no exception. Um, Chrissy can call it whatever she wants. Holly loves her, Kelsey Ballerini in Raissa Vanessa. Holly LOVES, OMG TO DIE. Nolan doesn't care. JUST MEH / We Disagree: Jared Leto in Gucci. Must he always be so trampy?? Lady Gaga: she was gorgeous, but missed the opportunity to be edgier, more rock-star. Carrie Underwood: Looks beautiful but dressed for high school prom, or British royalty in Dolce and Gabbana. Lil Nas X In Balmain. And moon boots. Are we done with moon boot yet? Please? Holly's HATES: Justin Bieber in Balenciaga and Hailey Bieber in Saint Laurent with Tiffany & Co. jewelry: his oversized suit is sloppy, and hers looks like a cheap wedding gown. #sorrynotsorry Jonie Mitchell: looks like she is wearing a Johnny Was outfit, which is waayy too Arizona hippy for us in her floral embroidered ensemble. But, at least she showed up! Brandy Carlisle in a custom Hugo Boss suit that screams the “Rhinestone Cowboy” song! But her suit weighed 30 pounds, so we gotta give her some cred for that. Kourtney Kardashian in Et Ochs. Holly says she looks like she needs some sleep. Not impressed. At. All. Travis Barker in Givenchy with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. Again, he looks like one of the “blind mice from the Shrek movie" and also, that he just got out of jail. Billy Porter: Valentino pink, but uggggly purple lipstick. If you are going to wear a statement color, just stick to one. Megan the Stallion in Roberto Cavalli. Cheap-looking fabric, always a big NO from Nolan. Billie Eilish in Rick Owens. Holly HATES it. Nolan almost liked it. He wanted to love it, but the choice of biker boots ruined the moment for him. And that's a wrap, people!! In the end, Holly loves red carpet fashions and all the pomp and circumstance. Nolan felt everyone took ‘one step too far' this year. Instead of stopping at “spectacular,” many chose to take things too far unnecessarily: over-doing it with accessories, bombastic boots, and clashing colors. Holly loves these opportunities to be judge-y, it's how we learn fashion's rights from wrongs. This is the end of the red carpet season and Nolan is SO happy (it's hard to be a fabulous fashion commentator). Except that we still have the Met Gala to review, and we can't wait for that.
Hear Me, See Me. Podcast. Hairdressing Icon, Sam McKnight. This episode was an absolute joy for me as it is one of my absolute hair heroes, Sam McKnight.Celebrated session hair stylist, Sam McKnight, is the hairdresser's hairdresser. He boasts a legendary career spanning over four decades encompassing catwalk, editorial and advertising campaigns for fashion houses such as Chanel, Fendi, Balmain, Burberry and Tom Ford. A regular contributor to both British and international Vogues, W, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, i-D and Love, he has over 100 covers to his name from British Vogue alone. McKnight is also a Contributing Beauty Editor at British Vogue. McKnight has collaborated with some of the world's most prominent photographers including Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino and Nick Knight. A long-time stylist for the late Princess Diana, McKnight was the creative behind her iconic short, slicked back hairstyle in the now-famous 1990 Demarchelier shoot for British Vogue, a partnership that led to him becoming her personal hair stylist for seven years. One of the original session stylists, McKnight initially trained as a teacher before working as an assistant at a local hairdresser in his native Scotland. Moving to London in the early 1970's, McKnight secured a position at Molton Brown, which at the time was a leading hair salon in London's South Molton Street. He worked on projects for London-based magazines 19 and Honey before landing his first editorial shoot with British Vogue in 1977. In this third episode of the Podcast Live by Crina Okumus, I talk to the beautiful Angela Lindvall. Angela is a model, actress, yogi, and a mother of two beautiful boys. She was featured on the cover of Italian Vogue in 1997, photographed by Steven Meisel. She was featured on many top magazine covers in the late 1990s and the early 2000s, such as Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Maria Claire, Numero, W, i-D, V, and so on. And during the peak of her long career, she was always the world's top designers' favorite, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada, Stella McCartney. She was a Prada Girl and a Chanel Girl. She has worked as the face of Chanel, Gucci, Valentino, Prada, Calvin Klein, Miu Miu, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Versace, DKNY, Roberto Cavalli, Fendi, Missoni, Jil Sander, and Jimmy Choo. As an actress, she has appeared in several films, including CQ in 2001 and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang in 2005 and Small Apartments in 2010. She was the host of the fashion reality series Project Runway: All-Stars, an extension of the popular series Project Runway.Angela is a tremendously inspiring woman of many talents. While at the peak of her modeling career, she became pregnant. Voices from the industry told her she would be jeopardizing her career should she decide to continue with the pregnancy. Angela persisted in the face of pressure, became a happy mother, and never looked at the industry through the same lense. Her story is emblematic of the unique struggles women endure when chasing their dreams.Since a young age, she has always been drawn to human consciousness, metaphysics, Ancient cultures, and spirituality. She began to privately study feverishly at the age of 15- questioning life's purpose and researching as a hobby. After becoming a mother of two, and slowing down her career, she became a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, Health coach, and recently started her certification as a Doula. Being “The Mother” she considers her true calling and purpose in life. For over 3 years she has been envisioning and creating the direction to share this purpose beyond her own children. In addition to her career, Angela openly talked about some of the most meaningful events in her life:- Her definition of BEAUTY- Another view of the fashion industry after becoming a mother- Her story with COVID-19 - The loss of her younger sister at an early age- The importance of caring for the mind and the body with discipline and commitment - What are we doing with our time and the people that we love - Her new Passion Project: Peace Begins in Meand many more topics...What struck me the most was Angela’s openness to sharing what most of us might think of as sensitive information. When you combine this openness with the curiosity that comes from years of challenging experiences, what you see is an intellectually curious, wise, and loving person who transcends herself to talk about the human condition per se. Thank you, Angela, for sharing your thoughts and experiences with me. I feel truly blessed. To all our listeners, kindly support us by liking this video and subscribing to our channel! With love and good wishes,Crina O.

Posh Spice, Victoria Beckhams, Vicky Adams... today we take a quote from her former music school principal: If Victoria hadn't had the lucky breaks she had and the people having faithin her to make her what she is, she probably would have been singing anddancing on a cruise liner. Do we think this is true? Lets Stop – slow down – take a deep breath and respect the solo career of VictoriaCaroline Beckham._________________________________Shes one half of the most photographed couple in Britain, queen of the wags, inventor of the POB.Can't discuss her without her husband David Beckham. They had their first baby Brooklyn in march of 1999 and were married in July, in a £424,000.(Although OK magazine paid £980000 so that’s a sweet profit). Which seems like a tight turnaround to fit into a dress. Geri wasn’t in attendance. Sporty and Baby wore white tuxedos. Scary wore black. Mel C hasthe worst haircut. Elton John and his partner, David Furnish are Godparents to Brooklyn and Romea, alongwith Elizabeth Hurley. The Beckhams suffered extreme mocking from Alistair McGowan as they imitated the two.One thing we can say about Victoria: She was not afraid of a trend. In fact, I don’t think she met oneshe didn’t like. Dramatically launched her music career in August 2000. Duet, she didn’t want to step outalone so she Truesteppered out with the garage tinged “Out of your mind” featuring DaneBowers. There was a real trend for the reply song – so we had Damons FuckYou, followed by Frankie Fuck you right back. Mario, I don’t wanna know. Followed by SholaAma, You already knew. And then this, a follow up to Truesteppers top 10 record “Bugging”. Replies were soooooo noughties but so were epic chart battles. This track was in a muchhyped race to no.1 with Spiller and Sophie Ellis Bextors “Groovejet”. Which narrowly beat itby 20,000 copies. This was a real fashion moment: The cut out pleather tops, the matrix video and my faveimage (the lip ring and extensions). This Victoria saying – Im a bad bitch. Question: Which solo spice single has the biggest first week sales? This with 180,000 copies.Lowest selling? In this episode, your hosts interview internationally recognised fashion designer Tamara Yovel Jones. Tamara discusses the pressures of the fashion industry, creativity in fashion today, and the difficulties that come with combining creativity and business, within the context of a discussion on mental health in the fashion industry. Tamara has a long-standing relationship with the house of Roberto Cavalli, where she served as the head of its design studio and fashion design supervisor, after having been a designer there for many years. She has had her own boutiques and design studios in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and has also served as a fashion consultant for the government of Guatamala. She has designed collections for brands like Maskit and Rikma, and had an exhibition of Art to Wear that was shown in both Israel and New York. Tamara has also played a large role in fashion education in Israel. After many years as a senior lecturer, she was the head of the fashion design department at Shenkar College, and she was also the head of the fashion and jewelry department at the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. Most recently, Tamara was the initiator and co-curator of the exhibition "Decoding Israeli Fashion" at the Israel Museum Jerusalem, which was the first major fashion exhibition in the country. “If someone says they can’t go through the door, or the back door, or the side door, I’m coming down through the fucking chimney. You've got to figure out a different way to get what you want, it’s not always going to be the same way as everyone else.” - Lauryn Evarts Bosstick I’m particularly excited for this episode because it’s an interview with someone who is brought up on this show A LOT as an example of a personal brand (and overall brand) who is doing it right and killing it in their space. I've mentioned her, guests have mentioned her... My guest this week is Lauryn Evarts Bosstick, the creator of The Skinny Confidential, which is it’s own media empire, including a blog, a book, an incredibly successful podcast and she’s not stopping there. Lauryn’s collaborated with a who's who of brands from Nordstrom to Victorias Secret TopShop, Free People, SHAPE, Reebok, Nasty Gal, Elizabeth Arden, Skinnygirl, Benefit Cosmetics, Roberto Cavalli, Urban Decay, Urban Outfitters, and more! On last week’s episode, I interviewed Lauryn’s husband the CEO of Dear Media and also one half of The Skinny Confidential podcast, Michael Bosstick. If you have any interest in the business of podcasting, monetization, the future of audio, influencers, you’ll want to check out that episode. And Michael and Lauryn do a lot together - business wise, brand wise, and obviously they are married, but it was never a question to me that I really wanted to interview them separately because they are worth knowing separately. They both provide so much value and experience in so many areas that are relevant to this audience that it wouldn’t have done it justice to make it one show. They really are such a power couple and I’m honored to know them (they really are class acts on top of it!). Before we get into the show, I want to give even more context on why Lauryn’s brand is one to watch. I started following her journey in 2016 after I met her and Michael when they came in for a filming of The #Askgaryvee Show. How hard she worked was obvious then and the growth and the evolution of her brand in the last three years is completely a result of her hustle. Lauryn's brand is a true case study of building brand the right way. This is a woman who lives and breathes her brand and Her execution is frankly flawless. I’ve dealt with a countless number of personal brands at this point and here’s a difference I want to note for people. There are plenty of people out there who are very calculated about their brands, Lauryn is intentional. And that’s a huge difference. She IS the skinny confidential. Some people know their audience down to the last detail, but don’t fully know how to execute on that, but Lauryn is great at delivering exactly what they want and building a true community. Again, people throw around the words community - her Skinny Confidential private Facebook group, which you should definitely check out if you’re a woman because it’s only for women, IS active. I can personally say I’ve met some great women from that group. You can check out any photos, videos or posts from live events she does - she gets a huge turnout. Even just check her comments on Instagram. She gets engagement. All while also being a master at monetizing in a way that feels organic. She’s one of the few influencers in the space who has gotten me to convert based on her recommendations. I’ve been watching her adapt and grow as a business woman and I’m so excited to see what she’s building next. We literally ran out of time, but I could honestly have talked to her about just her brand for hours. I can’t say enough good things about the value she dropped in this interview. She’s told her story a million times so I didn’t want to waste time there, you can head to theskinnyconfidential.com/about if you want some more background context, but we cover all parts of her business from her content process, to her different income streams to how she’s strategically evolving her brand. Let’s just get into it, please enjoy my conversation with Laura Evarts Bosstick. Ask a room of 10 women who inspires them and 9 might say Lauryn Evarts. In fact, she was overwhelmingly the top person requested when I asked my network who they wanted to hear from. Lauryn has built a badass brand with over 700,000 followers for The Skinny Confidential. She works with big brands like Victoria's Secret, Urban Outfitters, Roberto Cavalli, and more to get in front of her audience of engaged and ambitious women. But the most interesting thing about Lauryn is how thoughtful and self reflective she is when it comes to building her business. Hear how she does it.

Born in New York City’s ‘Spanish Harlem’ and of Puerto Rican descent, Henry's love for the music that makes his blood flow was born during family parties in New York City and childhood summers in Puerto Rico. It is here on this tropical island and in the clubs of New York City where he found his soul and learned to dance Salsa. A dancer, practically all his life—"My heart beats on clave" —he is known to hold his own on the dance floor and understands how to honor and inspire a Salsero, but can cater to any non-salsa audience as well. Henry has worked as a disc jockey, video DJ, master of ceremonies, sound engineer and promoter in major nightclubs and venues around the world throughout the span of his career.
