In October 2016, Richard Jacobs started the Future Tech Podcast, which has now become the Finding Genius Podcast – the goal was to learn about ‘round-the-corner’ new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, 3D printing, stem cells, regenerative medicine, Bitcoin and blockchain, and more. Due to a major health crisis in 2017, Richard decided to focus more on health, medicine and bioscience issues that affect all of us as human beings. In the middle of 2019, Richard realized that what he was actually doing (and had been doing for 15+ years) was seeking out the best of the best in any given field – the 1 in 1,000 genius practitioner in their field – and interviewing them to learn everything he could. Richard calls this: “Finding Geniuses” and it has since become the new name for this podcast – The Finding Genius Podcast. -  After managing the MEI from 1999 to 2006, Michel Kelly-Gagnon was President of the Conseil du patronat du Québec from March 2006 to December 2008. At the beginning of his career, he practiced law and then became an entrepreneur in the field of customized training in business. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Commission for Occupational Health and Safety (CSST) from 2006 to 2009. He was one of six Quebecers honored by the 2008 list of 40 top performing Canadians under the 40 years™. The winners were chosen from over 1,100 nominees. Mr. Kelly-Gagnon sits on several boards of directors, including the Canada Foundation for Innovation, which provides hundreds of millions of dollars each year to fund Canada's research infrastructure. He has been back at the head of the MEI since January 2009. - Richard Jacobs discovered Bitcoin in 2013, by reading an article in the New York Times, but dismissed the idea as a curiosity (like many). Fast forward to October 2016, when he started a podcast called “Future Tech Podcast” – the goal was and is to learn about ‘round-the-corner' new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, 3D printing, stem cells, regenerative medicine, Bitcoin and blockchain (of course), and more. Since October 2016, Richard has interviewed 400+ different companies and consultants, 200 of which are in the Bitcoin / Ethereum / blockchain space. Richard also attends a weekly local Austin, Texas Bitcoin meetup, sponsored by Factom. He is now a crypto-enthusiast, and small-time hodler. In February of 2017, Richard joined Bitcoin.com to help run their podcast: Bitcoin – the internet of money. After interviewing 200 bitcoin / blockchain companies (and counting), Richard's fascination with the industry had grown to a point where he had to “get the information out of his head” and into the hands of other crypto enthusiasts (like you, the reader). Richard is currently planning and hosting The Bitcoin, Ethereum & Blockchain Superconference, to be held in Dallas, Texas, February 16, 17 & 18, 2018. For more info, visit www.BitcoinSuperConference.com or email organizer@bitcoinsuperconference.com Richard has also partnered with several marketing veterans, and successful startup founders to build a team of 48 people behind his blockchain-focused business development consultancy firm, Blockchain Edge. Visit www.BlockchainEdge.net if you are a founder, employee, or member of a blockchain company for business development advice and consulting. - Raeford Davis served the City of North Charleston police department for six years, including four years as a patrol officer and two as a special victims unit detective. At the time, North Charleston was ranked the 8th most dangerous city in America. Before becoming a police officer, he served in the United States Coast Guard Reserves. Davis realized the underground market created by drug prohibition has led to a number of negative unforeseen consequences. This realization came to him while patrolling a notorious hotbed of illicit activity nick-named “4-way”. There he saw kids being recruited by older gang members to sell drugs, knowing full well what kind of danger that put them in. Officer Davis understood that so long as a demand for drugs persisted, there would be a supply. So long as that supply remains illegal, children will continue to be exploited by criminals. The custom-tailored-pillow idea came from Richard interviewing over 110 sleep professionals, and dealing with his own sleep issues for the past 20+ years. www.goodnightssleepproject.com In October 2016, Richard started The Future Tech Podcast and has now interviewed 1800+ companies in artificial intelligence, stem cells, 3D printing, gene editing, bitcoin, blockchain, the microbiome, quantum computing, virtual reality and space exploration and more. Richard also has 10 years of experience as CMO (chief marketing officer) of Speakeasy Marketing, Inc, a firm that has helped over 900 attorneys nationwide to improve their law practices. Jacobs & Whitehall, a wholly-owned subsidiary, has helped over 310 professionals – lawyers, doctors, veterinarians, chiropractors, and real estate agents author their own practice area book and become the ‘authority expert’ in their industry. Richard is also the author of 5 books including Secrets of Attorney Marketing Law School Dares Not Teach – 1st, 2nd and 3rd editions, the Ultimate Guide to Local Business Marketing (Ultimate Series) (co-author), and Bitcoin, Ethereum & Blockchain: Lessons Learned From 200+ Interviews of Blockchain Companies. Top 3 Hot Point Takeaways:Entrepreneurship Sleep Health Custom-Tailored-Pillows Today’s Resource Links from the Podcast:www.goodnightssleepproject.com Our Mentioned Influencers:Dr. Mark Fitzpatrick DC testimonial at www.goodnightssleepproject.com/bed-time-stories Timestamped Show Notes:00:30: Introduction 09:30: I'm anti-drug, especially with sleep drugs. She's tried three different fancy pillows. I now have one of the fancy pillows. I have no idea what brand it is, but I love it. She moved on to one with water in it, I didn't that was a thing. 20:00: That's pretty smart. How long did it take you guys? Did you actually outsource the app or because you were so techie, did you do it DIY in-house? 30:00: I tried to get influencers, various people that we knew to get to send in their testimonials and everything, so again this is the marketing. If you don't have this stuff, it's harder to sell. So we've been working on this since day one and you know, they're starting to come in more and more and it's getting there. We got a couple of chiropractors, you want the best testimonials you can get like Dr. Mark Fitzpatrick DC. 40:00: Blue Light Blocking to additionally aid in sleep health. 42:13: Final Words   Our Final Words of the Show:What I've learned about health is that if you don't feel good, you treat everyone around you badly, you're short with them and all of your relationships suffer. If you feel good, you're nicer to people, like your wife, your kids, people at work, etc. So if I can help people sleep better, and relieve their problems without doing surgery on them, without giving them medications, without any of this other stuff, and it's a natural way to do it, I'm happy. That's the goal of this goal, it's called The Good Night's Sleep Project because that's the goal. We got seven nights a week. Can I get you from two good nights to three or four or five or even seven? That's like the overarching goal here. Matt Herrick - Co-founder at Deedcoin joins host Juliet Lemar on Future Tech Podcast. Deedcoin brings blockchain to the real estate sector in a way in which everyone can benefit. By providing an option for agents and customers to be on the same network, Deedcoin streamlines the real estate industry and reduces costs. Deedcoin is the first token to apply to the entire real estate industry, not just investment real estate portfolios or a specific product for agents. Deedcoin is not just useful for property investors, it is for anyone that owns or plans to own a home.  The Deedcoin token uses blockchain to create a true free market system to redefine the real estate industry. Through the creation of the DEED token, which replaces commission at a ratio of 10 DEED to 1% of a properties price. Simply think of Deedcoin in tens, each ten Deedcoin are used for 1% of a property total cost, regardless of the property price, because DEED functions as a percentage. Deedcoin removes the centralized control of the real estate industry from large powers such as the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and mega-brokerages along with their antiquated 6% commissions. Initially sold at $1.50 per Deedcoin at the ICO (Initial Coin Offering), each token saves a holder $225 on the average U.S. home ($225,000). Each Deedcoin can save exponentially more on higher value properties.  The real value of Deedcoin is the ability to save users 80% or more on real estate commission when they buy or sell property. Unlike the vast majority of ICOs, Deedcoin is already a useable platform. The Deedcoin network is now partnered with brokerages in over 163 cities across all 50 U.S. states. This network makes Deedcoin useable to reduce commissions on a national level before wide scale public token distribution has even begun.

Alvaro Ramirez Founder and CEO of eHarvestHub joins Future Tech Podcast to share how his company is using blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency to change the way fresh food is distributed. Small farmers grow between 60 and 70% of the food that we eat, and independent owner/operator truckers move 90% of that production, yet, they make the least profits. food is expensive and inaccessible because it zig-zags 7 to 10 times before it makes it to the grocery store increasing in price each time it exchanges hands. These layers of middlemen leave little profits for the farmers and truckers who produce and transport our food and consumers paying higher prices for their food. eHarvestHub provides small fresh produce growers with a single affordable and easy-to-use cloud solution to manage their produce life cycle, from seeding to shipping.
