It's a first today and that is my first medical student guest on the podcast!! A huge welcome to Omar Al-Rubaie,  a third year medical student at the University Of Sheffield who is here to talk about The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.  It's a first also because this is the first Douglas Adams I've ever read. I'd been aware of Hitchhiker's Guide for a very long time and I had never read it. I confess, I had never wanted to read it and as I was reading it in preparation for the podcast I was thinking "oh my goodness. What have I done". I will say I don't think I'm the target audience for the book and I didn't really get it.  You may be relieved to discover that after a conversation with Omar I've started to see that there is so much more in the book than I was getting out of first reading. And I suppose that's one of those reasons why reading books and talking about them is so enormously valuable to get the most out of them.  Will I be going on to read the sequel? Pretty unlikely! Did I really enjoy my conversation with Omar? Oh my goodness Yes!!  Whether you are a fan of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, somebody who loathes the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or somebody who listens to the podcast and has absolutely no idea what we're talking about so far, I hope you're going to enjoy this conversation.

“Buy a copy right now and go read it,” says Reagan about Frankl's “Man's Search for Meaning.” After his enthusiastic review and recommendation, we morphed into a conversation about Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy” which questions man's existance and proposes that it's meaning is “42,” or something like that. Today on a special 700th episode of Too Opinionated we sit down with actor Steven John Ward!  Steven is a South African actor best known for his role as Mihawk in the Netflix live action adaption of One Piece - the best-selling manga series in history. Having completed a Bachelor in Live Performance from AFDA, as well as training with several local and international coaches, Steven has appeared in a number of theatre and film productions including, Barefoot in the Park, The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Day We Didn't Meet, and SAFTA award-winning film, From a House on Willow Street.
