LEADERSHIP.  What does leadership trigger in you? I know it triggered some things in me... so let's rock this: 1: Let's Rock with Amy: This week was interesting for me, as leadership is not something I have ever focused on. all the segments touch on the qualities that make a leader, and I looked and smaller ways that we can lead and the daily practices that can make us actualize our innate leader. I also talk about the acts of service that Alain talks about, and a reframe of that. Don't forget that my new FREE meditation is out too! Access that and other free stuff HERE! 2: The Interview (12:57): Interview this week is with Alain Hunkins, bestselling author of Cracking the Leadership Code and CEO of Hunkins Leadership Group. Every single thing Alain says in our conversation is so worth listening to! We covered how shifting our mindset around leadership can be crucial; anything we do essentially takes leadership; the real key to leadership; how to find the connection with others when we can’t be one-on-one (so good!); I ask about using the power of leadership for good vs. evil; he tells me what he’s learning right now; the importance of grounding ourselves; the beautiful reframe and power of intentionality; and Alain says, "Leadership is everyone’s business. And if you’re really keen on growing yourself, the number one thing you can do is reach out to other people and ask for some feedback. And find people who are going to tell you the good and the bad and the ugly— you have to ask everyone out there. Leadership— and personal personal and professional development— is much better done when traveling in groups. So find a support team, coaches, some allies, that can help you on the path." He emphasizes being of service as a leader and that we can all find ways to do that. Definitely listen to this interview, very inspiring! And you can also connect with Alain on LinkedIn and download a free chapter of his book HERE. 3: Go Aff Yourself (29:44) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: Is Michael Scott a leader? Do leaders really eat last? We talk about stepping up in certain situations; familial roles; leading by example wherever you are or in whatever way; being a leader in the context of self-love; subtle leadership qualities like vulnerability;and this week's Affirmation is: I Live and Lead By Example. 4: BYOBBB(44:04) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: Bijou feels that it is hard to be a leader right now in this climate and thinks judgments are running high. What do we do when we don’t know where to look for leaders or know how to find It ourselves? I feel a responsibility to lead; I talk about the compassion required of a leader, and the noise vs looking within; we talk about who leaders we look to are (that’s a little harder than we thought!); I speak about what leading looks like for me in podcasting and life; and we talk the New Moon and Intentions. COMPARISON.  We all do it. And it's not good for us, unless we can use it as inspiration. But what about the times that we don't? Let's get into it: 1: Let's Rock with Amy: I get real about comparison and it ain't pretty. I have done it and still do, and I am grateful to have had something some up this week that challenged me. Listen for that, and for a tactic derived from Byron Katie's "The Work" to help us get out of those negative comparative moments! Don't forget you can sign up for my newsletter, my free 5-step habit building guide is still available, AND I have a new (my first!) meditation coming out this week, too! 2: The Interview (14:17): Interview this week is with Paige Casey, @paigeydahling, influencer, social media strategist, and photographer. She is in the industry and has a grasp of the production behind the scenes, so listen to this for a lot more (really great and useful!) perspective on social media. She talks about the importance of competitor analysis in branding and not getting stuck there. I ask her opinion of being in that industry and how she really feels about it as an influencer. She is incredibly forthcoming and talks why she shares what she does to help people. Paige has successfully shifted her mindset and understanding of social media, and that helps her not compare and use it as business. Be sure to check out her upcoming webinar this Wednesday, August 12th, register on her site, and follow her on social media at @PaigeyDahling! 3: Go Aff Yourself (32:12) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: Comparison led us to truth seeking. Comparison comes up for Jill with body issues and on social media. When does it start and how can we stay more conscious of it, and what practices or reframes or coping strategies do we use when it comes up? And we talk affirmations, The Work, and truth seeking when we do say the negative to ourselves. This week's Affirmation is: I SEEK WHAT IS TRUE. 4: BYOBBB(47:14) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney:  Bijou’s new home is a big change and the previous owner came to visit and comparison ensued. How we can change, shift, and even let go of the mentality that we must compare ourselves to ourselves? Bijoiu gives the advice to "Hike your own hike"; and we cover comparison in relation to our brain and competition and survival. And we boil it down to this: is it really time well spent? HOPE.  I am hopeful about the future, and this podcast...news about that in my intro, and the changes that are coming soon! Here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Let's Rock with Amy: Well, this week basically changes my entire outlook and attitude toward hope! I have started to realize that hope is foundational in all the actions that we take, and I look at the big picture of the world right now and what might be the opposite of hope. I've felt devoid of hope in the past and I talk about what that was like and how it has changed for me. Don't forget you can sign up for my newsletter, and my free 5-step habit building guide is still available, too. 2: The Interview (12:47): Interview this week is with Susie Moore, life coach, writer, and contributor to The Today Show, Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, and many more. Susie is also the author of a new book "Stop Checking Your Likes: Shake Off the Need for Approval and Live an Incredible Life. Susie and I talk a bit about her book, social media, and the understanding that there is so much more than that to us as people and how our worthiness is fixed. Susie says that hope is the most powerful human emotion; she adds that the currency of hope is very high and can move you forward. She turns hope around for me by saying the control that we do have with it, and how surrendering it can be a way to hide ourselves. We also get into staying in our own business, she reveals her practical strategies for the actions she takes when she doesn’t feel hopeful, and I had to ask her about hard work and the idea of “let it be easy.” I love that part! So work easy and find her and the book at susie-moore.com and on Instagram at @susie.moore! 3: Go Aff Yourself (33:15) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: Jill has HOPE tattooed on her was a reminder… of what, exactly? We cover that, the difference between hope and the energy of hopefulness, and whether we attach to certain outcomes with hope. Jill talks about hope creating a sense of continued longing, and I ask if it makes us delay happiness sometimes. How do we have hope and detach from outcome? And our Aff this week is: Hope Reminds Me to Trust. 4: BYOBBB(50:31) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: We get immediately into how much we need hope these days, and we dive into hopes around making money. Does hoping imply lack of confidence in business? She pairs hope with a plan, hard (??) work (listen to the interview with Susie for more on that!), and diligence. We also talk about the relationship between hope and faith, how hope can look during COVID times, and the unknowns we all face. UNPREPAREDNESS. Does the thought of being unprepared trigger anything in you? It does for me. Let's dive into that. Here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: I confess that I was unprepared this week, and we look at how we truly are unprepared for the unpredictability and chaos that is life. But upon closer inspection, are we really as unprepared as we think we are? I really leaned on this week's affirmation and I came out with two realizations: one, we are always much more prepared than we may allow ourselves to realize, and two, we can use our daily routines to train ourselves to handle the stress and panic of unpreparedness when it arises. That and lots more, including references to the book "Improv Wisdom" on my segment this week, and also you can sign up for my newsletter and get my free 5-step habit building guide here, too! 2: Go Aff Yourself (17:04) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: Are we preparers or shower-uppers? Jill suggested the topic this week as we didn't have an interview and I was experiencing some angst around that. It turned out to be such an excellent topic to explore! We both are ‘wing-it’ types and reflect on the anxiety that we have felt around this. How can improv and the scariness of making mistakes due to being unprepared teach us in life? And do we cast judgment when someone else isn’t prepared? How are we showing up for people who are unprepared? And do we attach our worth to our preparedness? The Aff this week is: I Trust Myself to Come Through in the Moment.  3: BYOBBB(31:59) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Certified Branding Consultant and Entrepreneur Bijou Finney: Bijou is always preparing and we get into that first off. She feels anxiety around not having the right thing but then recognizes how having what someone needs- preparedness- makes her feel good and can be tied to her own worthiness. Surrendering and just showing up go against Bijou’s inclination, and she is reconsidering how to approach these ideas in order to let go of the control and anxiety and allow for more flow in life. We cover a lot about how COVID affected businesses and the unpreparedness of that and whether it will make businesses more prepared in the future. Rebecca says in her interview today that all change and transformation is preceded by crisis, and how that is the law of the universe. Perhaps transforming into a human and a society with more vitality is on the horizon for us as we push through crises. Kambô certainly puts you through a purge in order to clean and unblock. Rebecca is a Kambô medicine practitioner and energy healer, and a bright shining soul in the universe. Vitality is a key part of her practice and all she does. She shares about her daily divination practice, which is a heart-centered morning ritual that we can all embrace: she tunes into her heart center daily upon waking and calls in her guides. This starts her day tuned in to vibration and blessings and vitality; she also tells me about her influences, Buckminster Fuller, and we get into energy and how the energy that we create has the ability to shape everything. We touch too on subtle energy work, ley lines, meridians, and the work that we can do to unblock the energy centers to gain more vitality. "We live in a universe that is always full of vitality. Nature doesn’t know how to be anything but full of vitality and full of abundance. And us as humans, we come into the world kicking and screaming, into a world of density, and as we go through life and we are tapped into the subtle energies of the earth and connected to the earth, and when we really get into the simple practices of observing the natural cycles of the earth and really being in tune with her energy, then we’re like a water hose, where the earth’s energy and vitality is just pouring in and we are able to ride that frequency like a surfer.” Don't miss this interview! 3: Go Aff Yourself (31:40) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: Jill defines vitality for us, and she was already working on vitality, as it came up for her in therapy not long ago. Is she putting vitality into the things that are important to her? You can actually be draining energy when you don’t approach something with vitality and energy. She says that the more energy we can keep within, the more energy we are able to give out. And we both had a caffeine crisis, and talk about how we can bring vitality to everyday mundane things. And this week's Aff: I Put Vitality Into The Things I Care About. 4: BYOBBB(46:04) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: Fantastic branding chat today on BYOB. WORTH. Whether it's your own worth, our work's worth, or the worth of the lives of others, it matters, and let's get into rocking it this week. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: This week I cover Black Lives Matter and a few resources to further educate ourselves, and what I'm doing, and then relate that back to remembering our worthiness. I've forgotten too many times to count, and it seems like we are all remembering right now and working toward that. What triggers me to remember and how can we get better at it and help others? That's the main thing this week. Listen for more, and remember this too: the free PDF and my 5-step habit building guide are both still available for download, too, just click the link. Kendi’s How To Be Anti-Racist. 2: The Interview (14:32): Interview this week is with Emily Roberts, MA, LMHC, Psychotherapist, Author, and Speaker, also know as The Guidance Girl. Emily was fantastic to talk to this week. We saw worth as foundational-- as a bedrock for life-- and she talks about her line of therapy tools and bracelets, Rock Your Worth, and what physical reminders can add to our mental health and how much we need those. We also talk about the expectations we put on ourselves about being enough rather than knowing our own worthiness in just showing up and trusting that purpose for being here, and Emily says, “All these things come up around worthiness- it spills into our lives in different ways- and at the end of the day, I want people to recognize that just being human is enough, and it’s worthy of respect and it’s worthy of our own self-compassion and the compassion that we would give other people... and we’ve got to remind ourselves of that." She adds, "How can I show up for you... for me... for other people in the world? Just these simple acts matter. It can be a daily action or a small shift in your consciousness and in your mindset, to bring more love and joy into the world.” 3: Go Aff Yourself (29:33) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: We question weighing our worth in output and what we give, and Jill says her worth feels low because she isn’t feeling a lot of worth because of less “output.” When we equate our worth with what we are putting out in the world- about doing rather than being- does that serve us? I also talk about this Facebook group I am in that has shifted my attitude about self-worth in dating, and how it has helped me understand further that just being is enough. We recognize, too, the need for and power of repetition. And this week's Aff is a two-fer: We Are All Inherently Worthy // I Am Inherently Worthy. 4: BYOBBB(43:54) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: I address the after effects of belief and surrender, and how those were out of line with my own inner conversation about worthiness. Bijou says we need to stay very aware of our worth in both business and in life, and how charging less can be detrimental to you and your business. “You’ll always be on the discount rack if you don’t charge what you're worth.” We also recognize the problem of Amazon and its effect on us devaluing work and lives and the things we can so easily get. "Worth is a horrible problem right now— we don’t know the worth of our environment, we don’t know the worth of the resources out of our planet, we don’t know the worth of people’s time and energy, we don’t treasure anything anymore— and I think that we should all work on that. The worth of our children and their time with you, and the worth of your clients and the care they take in using the little money they have to use your services- all this should make us so grateful, if we truly knew the worth of everything.” Listen for this great segment, and remember that you can access our free pdf, too, that can help you with your brand values and the action you take. BELIEF. Hoo boy... this one always proves to be tough for me! So all the more reason to dive in to what it truly means to believe. I took it to heart this week and put in the work to lean in and really find out what I needed to learn about belief. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: I had a crisis on day one, and recorded my mini-breakdown to share. Whether it's the world around us that seems to be falling apart more every day, or it's the matter of believing in ourselves, how can we truly believe? And even further, know? I find a common thread through the week's conversations, and it is this: keep going. That's belief in action. And that shows the universe that we do believe, even when it might feel as if we don't. Listen for my tearful moments and lots more today. And last week's free PDF and my 5-step habit building guide are both still available for download, too, just click the link! 2: The Interview (11:48): Interview this week is with Dwight Baker, porducer, songwriter and one half of the musical duo The Wind + The Wave. Dwight has told me for years, "You just have to believe." So I went to him when this topic came up to find out just what that meant to him, as he has had immense successes in his life, and I wanted to know how his belief aided in those. We talked about cliché believing, how it's easier for men than women, how belief can shift over time but still retain the same vision and bigness, body image issues, trying to prove something, positive thinking, the importance of truthful friends, and lots more. He also turns the subject around on me to ask if I’m really believing in what I do and directionally focused on believing in that. He says, “It’s about continuing to just do it. And the positive thinking is true in the sense that if you tell yourself, ‘I can’t do this, I can’t go on,’ then you’re right, you definitely can’t. And if you tell yourself, ‘I can do this,” you still might not be able to, but you have a way better chance of doing it if you do say that and believe in yourself.” Find Dwight on Instagram HERE and his fantastic band at The Wind + The Wave.com. 3: Go Aff Yourself (32:47) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: We recap signs and I recognize belief as my nemesis. We discuss belief in higher power and talk doubt, vision, and the deep seated problems we have truly believing. Can we brainwash ourselves into believing? And if we believe in other things, why can’t we parlay that belief into other things, like believing in ourselves? We discuss varying ways of belief including WW2, our president, and more. This week’s aff doesn’t come easy, but shakes out to the ultimately very self-help-y but very useful: I Choose to Believe in Myself. 4: BYOBBB(48:31) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: We cover branding as belief, and reach into how to achieve that and what it really means to believe in your brand. Also, we work on the limiting beliefs we may have in our business and our brands, and look at how to remain conscious in our own brand and those we work with. I talk about how I haven't truly embraced my brand over the years and the problem of that. ROUTINE. What's sexy about routine? Well, while we agree that it might not be the sexiest topic, it's got it's own charm. It doesn't have to mean a rut, or drudgery. Let's dive in and see what we can rock about our routines. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: What, ultimately, is routine about? For me, it's about becoming better little by little, and becoming better is a way of showing gratitude for all that we have- even what we have that exists as potential. Need more clarification? Listen to my segment for my daily routines and more on what it can bring to us and our future selves! Also, I have a free offer available for download to help build new habits! 2: The Interview (19:16): Interview this week is with the very lovely Mariska Nicholson, founder of skincare line Olive + M. Mariska recognizes the obligatory nature of scheduling and we discuss that in contrast to the value of routine. She tells us her self care routine and her skin care routines, and how that helps calibrate the day ahead. She brings up the beautiful ability of being able to change our minds, and how now the grounding of our routines can be something we choose and that we can enjoy. “As I got older, and I saw the value of routine, I made friends with it. And I think that you have to do that with the things that you’re resistant to. If you can make friends with them, you dissolve the resistance, and then you can move to a different place with it.” Listen for lots more, and how she suggests ways to reframe routine! And follow her on Instagram as well HERE. 3: Go Aff Yourself (33:29) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co:, How do we feel about routine and the “supposed to” nature of it? And how are we working the affs into it? Jill says she doesn’t have routines… and we dive into what that really means. What is the connotation of the word itself? What does it bring up in you- perhaps, the potential to fail? Routine is important now, and how can we foster that? We get into all this and also Jill's mew meditation practice. This week’s aff is: My Daily Life Includes All That I Need. 4: BYOBBB(48:51) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: Bijou and I talked her thoughts on routine in light of her own personal upheaval, and she gives solid advice on biz and brand routines. She shares also about her upcoming e-course and advice she got about implementing routine in our businesses, and with a bigger-picture scheduling effort: “You should be thinking about routine in your business by the day, by the week, by the quarter, by the year. And think about what that routine is, and religiously do it.” I ask what this means for someone like me, without a team, and she clarifies that I’m still a business, and it should happen no matter what your size. We may have to re-find our way with this and she encourages us to write that down. We cover how to deal with social media routine, how planning can benefit us, and our brain routines that are for brain optimization. Schedule time to make your routine, she says, and while she gives advice on how to go easy on yourself, the routine is about setting up a habit and it’s important to be diligent and consistent. SURRENDER. Surrendering to what life is showing us is way different than giving up. What does it mean, and how can we embrace more surrender, you ask? We got you this week! The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: This week, I get real about the things that I truly need to surrender to, and the ones I have surrendered to in the past. Surrender can be easy, sure, but there are times in my life that it's been exceedingly difficult. I share about those particular times and what surrender really, truly means in my life. What does it really mean? Listen to my segment to find out! 2: The Interview (12:56): Interview this week is with Kimi Inch, aka Mistress Nina Payne. Kimi is professional dominatrix, a somatic therapist/healer for couples and individuals, a kink and BDSM expert, consultant and educator, and a core energetics practitioner. You can find her on Instagram @kimiinch or @domidollz, and at domidollz.com. We get into what kink means and the breakdown and psychology behind it, and the power exchange within that, and the control versus surrender that the type of play and work she engages in and fosters with others can have, including positive effects throughout our lives. We cover how we can hide the things we do and her process of surrender into who she truly was. “It’s really hard to surrender if you don’t trust, and if you don’t feel a sense of safety.” We cover how that can positively bring power to your whole life. And how so much of what she does isn’t about control, but rather, connection, and how that can be a form of vulnerability and surrender. “And that connection and dance is really what kink is, and if we could let go and apply that more to our lives, then imagine how much more freedom and choice and options that we would have.” It's such a great interview, listen from more! 3: Go Aff Yourself (30:39) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co:, we talk surrender as letting go, and how it can be ironic that it’s hard to try to grasp the concept of something that is about loosening the grip—  and how we visualize surrender and how Jill feels it in the physical. What do what we envision with surrender? (Spoiler: Jill is laying on a cloud!) And leaning on trust in times of surrender, even when we don't understand our purpose. And this week’s aff keeps it simple: I Surrender. 4: BYOBBB(46:02) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: I ask Bijou a few hard questions, like: How much is surrender defining your life right now? We get into empathy and all the different types of surrender; our discussion on goals vs surrender; how we think everyone needs to record their own podcast; surrender to feelings vs events; how hard it is on your body when you don’t surrender, and how in business it can mean a pivot. POWER. How do we look at all the different facets of power, and what it means to us? From the control aspect, to giving it away to others, to specific ways to project it into the future, we got you this week with power! The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: I have some legal things that can leave me feeling power-diminished, and I talk about one specifically and how I am dealing with it in relation to staying in my own power. It's tough when you have moments of inadequacy, loss, or situations that are out of your control. Especially when money comes into play, too. But it can be done. I talk about my process for staying in my power and the choices around that. Whew! 2: The Interview (13:46): Interview this week is with Jeff Ward, talk radio host of The Jeff Ward Show now on Statesman News Network. Jeff is a radio veteran with 20 years on KLBJ, and he was voted by the Austin Chronicle as the "Best Afternoon Host" five times. He is now hosting The Jeff Ward Show on SNN Mon-Fri 9 - noon. Jeff hides from his kids to get this chat done, and in doing so, he hits on what he has learned about what can take you out of the moment, and not to focus on that but rather to play the play, so to speak. We also cover the way that talk show hosts can be viewed and then we get into parenting , a little bit of chaos, and living in the moment and how that can be powerful in itself. 3: Go Aff Yourself (29:09) with Affirmation Maven Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co:  What about when we feel power-less and out of alignment? And more importantly, what happens when we give our power away in relationships? What does that even really mean? When we are wanting to please others, that gives our power away. And we settle in real time on the aff today, and focus on taking full ownership of our own power. Jill also gives and an update on stickwithit.co, and this week’s Aff is: My Power Is Mine. 4: BYOBBB(43:55) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: We look through the lens of business, and at power vs control. How does being at home affect our power in business? And how can we use past times when we had a powerful feeling and project that into the future? COMFORT ZONE.Uncomfortable in your comfy space? That’s what it’s all about, as this week we get into what rocks our comfort zone! How can we see that we've gotten out of it when we don't have perspective? Also, we find some practical ways to get out of it in quarantine, and more. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: Surrendering to the unknown and finding peace in that might be the most uncomfortable thing of all. We have to just give in, trust, and yeah, be vulnerable at times. And those can be hard internal places to go! We are forced into letting go of control right now, which is what comfort zone is all about - letting go of control and going into the unknown. But that's where we grow! Oh, and I take cold showers, which is wayyyy outside my CZ... listen for that. 2: The Interview (13:46): Interview this week is with John Gorman, essayist, storyteller, speaker, and top-100 Medium writer. John is so candid, easy to talk to, and the convo just flew by. We met through the Ketamine clinic, Illumma, and he had written about his experience, which pushed him out of his comfort zone. We talk about how he defines comfort zone, pushing ourselves to the next level until it becomes our baseline, and how he views this through the lens of depression, which is something he is actively working on. How can we see this all as a debit system-- one in which we build up the good to counter the negative and maximize our investment in ourselves? Going out of our comfort zone is where the reward of this lies! John also emphasizes the importance of lateral movement when you’re stuck, and how we can look for catalysts in our life to find those places where were can find momentum. And he says: "Something is going to happen-- so you might as well be the reason that the good thing happens, and keep making bigger decisions." 3: Go Aff Yourself (29:09) with Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co:  We talk action vs. the comfort zone, and Jill asks: is it ever good to stay in your comfort zone? We talk about the internal, intangible comfort zones; resistance; and Jill observes this: "Nobody else is in charge of getting us out of our comfort zone. It’s nobody else’s responsibility. And on the other side is where the growth is." We wonder about the opposite of comfort zone, and this week’s Aff is: I Trust My Expansiveness. 4: BYOBBB(47:13) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: She is experiencing a lot of upheaval in her own life, and we get into how uncomfortable that is, and what that’s bringing out In her personally and in her business. What happens when home is now not the comfortable place we want it to be? How we can adapt, in many ways? We also discuss that if you’re alone and working alone, how important it is that we find someone to give us reminders of how far we've come? This expands into some self exercises to see how far you’ve come and give yourself perspective.- and perhaps make a practice of looking at how we have grown and gotten past our comfort zone when we have had our heads down and been working, unable to realize our own growth. And the unknown is where we create!

VIBES! This week we work on raising our vibrations and what that means from an energetic standpoint and how we can go about doing so, from the practical everyday strategies to the deep work that lies in our subconscious. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: How are your vibrations this week? Mine were not on point, despite doing all the "right" things. So I dove deep to explore what we can learn from that and how we can embrace the lower vibe moments and use them to teach us and ultimately raise our vibration. I get into the vibrational power of honesty and how we can tap into that and use it to raise us up. 2: The Interview (12:12): Today we talk with Giselle Koy. Giselle is a powerful vibrational force, and the author of six books, her latest being "The Codes of Immortality." She is a certified epigenetic coach and a transformational coach centering on getting people into their full power and fulfilling their soul and destiny. She talks about how she is handling this time, talks practically about using a spiritual and vibrational checklist, which I love, and she takes this further into how vibrations affect our DNA and other things we can be doing to raise our frequency. She addresses that we have to lay the right foundation to raise our frequency, and what we can do to make that happen more optimally. And she mentions what she's working on now, and to get that, simply email her at gisellekoy@gmail.com. 3: Go Aff Yourself (31:43) with Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: Jill vows to work on her accents, and we determine that this can raise your vibration! How? Listen to find out. We talk about who we are inherently and what happens to our vibration in this experience. Resetting and expanding your vibration is our focus, and it enables us to be our true self in the world. Can we have high vibration without the “productivity” we are used to? And what about when no one is looking?. This week’s Aff is: I release my blocks. 4: BYOBBB(51:23) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: Neither of us were feeling high-vibe the day we recorded, so it was a great time to talk about what to do in those moments. We touched on work flow and the roller coaster of vibes even when you are doing al the “right” things, and self medicating when our vibe is really low. What a time to focus on GRATITUDE, huh? These weeks during the pandemic prove to be an excellent time to learn when we focus, so this week was really fun to develop new ways of finding gratitude. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: I found myself wondering about potential this week, and looking at how easy it is for me to see it in others and how hard it can be to see in myself. If we truly want to actualize our own power, how can we use gratitude to do this? I do something different in my gratitude practice to experiment with growing my power in the future, and future gratitude. 2: The Interview (12:30): Today we talk to Deanna Wheeler, Texas music artist and singer-songwriter. Deanna is a USAF veteran and a single mom to three kids, who was in an abusive relationship, faced and overcame paralysis with guillaume barre in 2018, and is honest and candid about her life and all she has been through. We talk about being un-grateful and how she hones in on gratitude in her daily life. “Whenever your soul is happy, it’s easier to heal.” Through her life and healing journey, she speaks about the integral need for patience as a part of gratitude, which I hadn’t really considered until now. “You can’t really have one without the other [patience and gratitude]. You have to have patience in understanding your past.” We talk about being patient with yourself in finding the gratitude while looking back, because it’s not always easy- in many ways. We talk too about what we are grateful for in this moment, and Deanna asks me about my own drive and where I find that. 3: Go Aff Yourself (29:40) with Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co: This week we discuss gratitude practices and the challenges we all face right now, and we come up with this affirmation to help ourselves look for gratitude in every situation and to help us train ourselves to operate from this perspective more and more.  This week’s Aff is: I am able to find gratitude when/where ever I look for it. 4: BYOBBB(45:16) Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: Bijou had an accident this week and talks through how that has affected her gratitude, her job, and everything. We discuss the impact of focus each week and the positivity and effect that has on our mental states and practices. We get into how when it is the hardest is the best time to focus on something. We talked about the uncertainty of the future, and how living through this is making her ultra grateful and appreciative of even the hardest times at work— developing a practice of being grateful for things that she didn’t know to be grateful for in the past. The power that knowledge and behavior has on our immune system, and how she had to find ways to be kind to herself and her partner and the effect that it had on her physical and mental well-being and the return on investment. This week we get down with some PASSION. And during a pandemic, no less! While that is definitely challenging, we still all find ways to look into what it means and how to find it. The podcast is in four segments, and here’s this week’s breakdown: Segment 1: Rock Your Life with Amy: Amy asks a lot of questions this week. She also gets into not feeling passion at the moment, what this week's affirmation brought to her life, and how allowing herself to feel pushed her to get deeper to find what she is truly passionate about, and how you can too. When we are triggered, what is that showing us? Segment 2: The Interview: This week's it's with Wes Hurt, the founder of CLEAN Cause organic sparkling yerba mate drinks which provide 50% of all their profits to support recovery from alcohol and drug addiction through sober living scholarships which you can find out more about at clean cause .com. Wes is also a husband and father to two children and lives in Austin and is a recovering addict. Wes and I get really real really fast, which we both prefer. We talk about stripping away the layers to find what’s underneath the surface of exterior passions. Wes raises strong questions within this, too. He asks, “Would I be proud of what I do today if the pandemic eliminated next week? And how will I be seen by people, and the actions I made and the way I handled it, if it stopped? THAT is my new litmus test by the decisions I make.” We get into regrets, what makes our character, our places of purpose, powerlessness, and, yes- what truly matters and what we truly care about when we face death. Segment 3: Go Aff Yourself with Jill Faulkner of stickwithit.co. This week Amy and Jill talk about the company she founded and her passion for that. We get into hobbies and side hustles, music, and whether or not we lose passion in the process of doing the work, sometimes? The Aff this week seems beautifully prescient for the times we are living in right now. Allowing ourselves to feel overwhelming and powerful emotions moves us both to explore this idea in all its contexts. And we end with Jill thinking about recharging and giving, and what she needs now, and it follows perfectly with what Wes talks about in The Interview. This week’s Aff is: I Let Myself Feel. Segment 4: BYOBBB -Build Your Own Brand, Biz + Brain with Bijou Finney: We both feel depleted of passion and get real about our struggles with our brands and businesses. We dive into how this affects our brands and our businesses. We discuss the luxury of passion and the fight or flight response that can be attached. Bijou has been on an entrepreneur call and discusses the general climate of that, when products or services are not needed at this time. What do we do when passions feel extinguished? How To Transition From Employee To Entrepreneur Following a series of unfulfilling executive assistant jobs, Jill Faulkner started asking herself questions about what changes she could make. Based on the impact that affirmations had begun to have on her life, Jill came up with the idea of handwriting sticky notes with positive “I” statements. After a small test run, the feedback was positive and the demand was there, so she took the natural next steps of molding it into a business - Stick With It Co. “I was so beside myself in a lot of ways,” Jill recanted, “because [the affirmations] are so simple, but so powerful. I just felt really called to do something with it. I had to see what that would look like.” Even with no business experience or direct mentors of her own, Jill was able to set up Stick With It Co for success. From heartfelt customer letters, to distributing to multiple stores in the Austin area, to holding events with local nonprofits, it is clear that the affirmations are making tangible impact. Stick With It Co continues to grow, if by no other choice than the sheer determination of its founder. In this episode of Voices of Impact, Jill talks about how to transition from employee to entrepreneur. We discuss assessing ourselves, empowerment leading to success, and learning to harness the power of positivity. Jill also shares how she maintains objectivity in a business so personal.
