I Am Loved (Identity Series)John 13:23 “One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved,* was reclining at Jesus' side.”This scripture verse was given at my prayer group, and the following words of prophecy were given:  “You are also the one whom Jesus loves.  So, your place is to be listening to his heartbeat when you pray. So, put your head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat.  Say I love you and be at peace.”  Is there anything more calming than putting your head on someone's chest and listening to their heartbeat?  I pictured when I was little and if I was scared and I went to lie with my parents.  Just putting my head on their chest and listening to their heartbeat would make me feel better. It seemed so rhythmic and soothing.“You are also the one whom Jesus loves.”  How many of you believe this?  Like truly in the depths of your heart believe this?  You are also the one whom Jesus loves.  Sometimes, it is easy to say that Jesus is love.  It is easy to say that Jesus loves everyone.  And yet, even as we are saying it, we are discounting ourselves from that love.  We know He loves everyone and yet we don't believe that he loves us?  We don't feel that love or even understand why He would love us.  Who are we to be loved by Jesus? You are the son or daughter of the one true king. That is who you are.  You were made in the likeness and image of God.  You are deeply loved by Him.  Why do you discount yourself from that love?  Or maybe you put a lot of pressure on yourself to be worthy enough of God's love.  Maybe you think if you just do things perfectly, then God will love you.  If you attend weekly mass and volunteer for every fundraiser, you will be worthy of God's love.  Are you constantly feeling like you are not good enough for God's love?Guess what? None of us are.  None of us are worthy of God's love, yet he lavishes it freely anyway.  You do not have to do anything to earn God's love.  Well, as I wrote that, what came to mind was we do have to accept it.  God can tell us all day long that he loves us, but if we don't accept it, then it doesn't matter.  Yesterday, I talked about abiding in God's love and how abiding means acceptance.  Can you accept God's love?  Can you accept that he loves you just as you are, with no strings attached? This is a new kind of love for so many.  Some people have never had someone in their lives who loved them completely, with no strings attached.  Unconditional love is not a thing they even new.  If you are struggling to believe that Jesus loves you, just as you are, think about your childhood and your past relationships.  What do you think of when you think about love?  Did you have to earn love growing up?  What did you feel you had to do to be loved?  For instance, did you have to get good grades,  be a certain weight, be quieter, etc?  Did you feel like your parents' love was conditional on your behavior?  If so, don't worry. You are not alone.  We live in a broken world and don't know how to love each other unconditionally like our heavenly father does.  I think everyone is doing the best they can.  We can only love others to the extent that we are loved.  If your parents do not know unconditional love, they can't pass it on to you.  The good news is, that you can learn to let Jesus's love in.  The good news is that Jesus does love us unconditionally.  If we can learn to accept Jesus's love, then we can learn to pass this love on to others, even if that is not the love we were raised with.If you struggle with accepting God's love, I would love to give you some practical tips for how to begin to accept God's love.  I went online to see if others had already written about his subject.  I found an article written by Kara J. Lovett called “5 Keys to Accepting God's Love.”  I would highly suggest you read this article.  I will put a link for it in the description of this episode, but you can easily find it by googling 5 Keys to Accepting God's Love. CLICK HERE for the article.  In the article she goes into what God says about love and then a section on understanding God's love.  Her article mentions five was you can accept God's love.  They are as follows: Accepting God's love with scripture, prayer, grace, and quietness & in unexpected places. Kara says in her article that “by digging deep into Scripture and spending time with God in prayer, I realized that I need to stop striving for love and instead strive to accept God's love, which He has already graciously bestowed on me.”  As I mentioned yesterday, reading the bible is a great way to get to know God's love. You can see all sorts of examples of God's love in the bible.  1 John 4:7-10 is a great example of love.  It says, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love. In this, the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”The second way she mentions is prayer.  When we turn to God and ask for His help, he wants to help us and is just waiting for us to ask.  God knows what we are going through and what are struggles are, and yet he loves it when we talk to Him about them.  Just sit down with a cup of coffee or tea and talk to God like you are talking to your best friend at the kitchen table.  You will be surprised how much closer you get to God when you start having chats with Him regularly.  They can be informal chats about your day, your struggles, and your successes.  God wants to share in all of that with you.The third way she mentions is Grace.  Learning about grace over these last few years has been huge for me.  Learning to be graceful with yourself is so important.  Kara says that grace is the free, unearned gift of salvation that God has bestowed upon us.  When I looked up the definition online, it said 1a: unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification. b: a virtue coming from God. c: a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance.  We are saved and redeemed through God's grace.  It is unmerited, meaning we don't deserve it; we can't do anything to earn it; it is just bestowed upon us.  How amazing is that?  The third definition is a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance.  We can't forget this.  We are made holy through divine assistance.  God is always there to help us.  We can't do any of this on our own.  It is always a partnership.  God has so much grace and mercy for us.  He doesn't expect us to be perfect, so cut yourself some slack. The fourth way to accept God's love is through quietness.  Spend some quiet time with God.  There are so many ways that you can do this.  Maybe you are someone who likes to meditate every morning.  That is wonderful! Maybe you are like me, and every time you try to quiet your mind, all it wants to do is talk to you.  That's fine, too.  Maybe your quiet time is spent in nature, going for a walk, or sitting outside listening to the sounds of nature.  Maybe your quiet time with God is spent journaling all your thoughts.  There is no right way to spend quiet time with God.  Your relationship with God is like any other relationship; the more time you spend together, the closer you will be.  The fifth key to accepting God's love for Kara was letting go of control.  Even though we know at some level that we don't have to earn God's love, we still try to prove to Him that we love Him.  We put all these rules and regulations on ourselves about how we have to do this, and we have to do that.  We tend to put a lot of pressure on ourselves.  Once Kara was able to let go of control and remember that Jesus already secured our freedom on the cross, she decided to let go of all the pressure she put on herself and just tried to abide in Jesus's love.  God loves you!  He truly does.  I hope that if you are not currently able to accept God's love, you will spend some time working on learning how to.  I can't tell you how amazing it is to know that I am always loved.  To know that there is nothing I can do that would make my heavenly father stop loving me.  It gives me so much more confidence in life.  It brings me so much joy.  It breaks my heart when I talk with people who don't know how much God loves them.  I know it is hard to let love in sometimes.  I have been there before.  It can be hard,  it can take a lot of work, and it is so worth it.  There is so much more waiting for you once you accept and really come to know God's love for you.  It is there for the taking, free, with no strings attached.  All you have to do is say yes and accept it!Dear Heavenly Father, I am so thankful that you love us unconditionally.  You love us so completely.  Lord, some of us are struggling to feel this love.  We ask you right now to come into our hearts and fill them with your love, perfect love.  We ask that you begin to break down any walls that we have put up to keep love out.  Lord, we want all the love that you have for us.  Lord, I ask that you bless everyone listening to this with a supernatural feeling of love today.  That the Holy Spirit descends on all of them and that they can physically feel you giving them a hug today.  Lord, you are so amazing.  We are in awe of all that you do each and every day.  We pray that you help our loved ones to open up and feel your love.  Lord, we pray that you shower your love on all the teenagers.  Being a teen is so difficult, and many do not feel any love.  Please show them how amazing your love is, Lord.  We ask all of this in accordance with your holy will and in Jesus's name, Amen.  Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. The reason we can walk boldly with Jesus is because we have the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of us. Join me for mentoring this month as we talk about this power and what we can do with it. Once we discover the power and the authority Jesus gave us when he left this world, we will be so much better equipped for all life has in store for us. I pray you will join me. When I started listening to the beginning of this recording to edit it, I thought this is what my listeners need to hear.   So many times in my life I have heard “Keatha you make everything look so easy”. Guess what??  This stuff isn't easy and I'm sharing with you my learning process.  You're going to hear the almost completely unedited version of my 1st interview!     ( I deleted out a lot of dead space and YES Sean I did all the editing this time myself just for the fun it of it!) We all have a running dialogue with ourselves in our minds. What do YOU tell yourself about yourself? Are you lying to yourself? In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally shares the truth about you: You are unconditionally loved.  Your identity is who you think you are. During this series, we're going to look at 4 different “fingerprints” that determine our identity 1. I am a child of God2. I am unconditionally loved3. I am in Christ4. I have purpose Fingerprint #2: You are unconditionally loved. What is love? Our culture uses a heart as the symbol of love. Scripture uses a bloody cross.1 John 4:16 “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.” 4 Types of Love in Ancient GreekEros – passion (I love you, I'm just not IN love with you)Phileo – friendship (We just don't have anything in common)Agape – sacrifice (It's not you, its me)John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.”Storge - familyUnconditional love is love that is constant, unchanging, and has no strings attached.  God's unconditional love for you:1. Is unstoppable.Romans 8:35-39 “Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.  38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”The negative things that happen to you are not an accurate reflection of how God feels about you. You can't do anything to make God love you more, or love you less. You can't get more of His love because its all been given. You can't earn less of it because it doesn't depend on how good you are but how good He is. This means trying to get God to love you is like trying to make water wet. Love is not just what He does, it's who He is. Stop trying to earn it - start learning to live it. If you don't train yourself to believe this, you will waste time earning God's affection instead of living in it and giving it away to the world around you. Choose to believe God's love for you, anything less is believing a lie.2. Is always pursuing you.1 John 4:10 “This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man[a] came to seek and save those who are lost.” 3. Actively helps you. Love is a verb: service, action, charity. John 5:17 “But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.” The opposite of love is not hate, but inaction. We're often afraid to ask God for help because we know we don't deserve it. But Gods willingness to help is based on His goodness, not our worthiness. 4. Is not easy, comfortable or pretty.1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love does what's best for the other person. Do you believe that you are unconditionally loved? Do you act like it?

Today on the podcast I chat with a dear old friend I met on retreat several years ago who has walked a unique path in her dating relationships – going through two relationships that did not show her an accurate picture of her lovability and finally coming into a relationship with God that grounded her in how loved she was whether or not another human came into her life to demonstrate that.   This problem is widespread. Whether it's parents, siblings, friends, significant others, or work colleagues, so many of us end up being involved in relationships that don't give us an accurate picture of the way that God loves us and we can use those as evidence for how lovable or not lovable we think we are.   And at the end of the day, as long as we are chasing a human iteration of our loveability that gives us “hard evidence“ of our worth, we will be disappointed.   No matter how good the friendship, marriage, or family is, it will always fall short in someway in demonstrating the true extent of the love of God.   In today's episode Maria and I both repeat a phrase that I would love for you to reflect on: let God love you.   Verse of the Month: Romans 5:8 - But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.   Get our guide to walking in God's love for you right here: https://joy.pinksaltriot.com/iamloved   Shop our brand new "I Am Loved" collection here: https://pinksaltriot.com/collections/i-am-loved

But when Monday morning rolls around we're left thinking:  “Now what?” “How do I find and keep a daily connection with my Creator on my own?”  At First15, we know that meaningful worship isn't just for Sunday. Shawn "Do I Allow Myself to Be Loved?" Hey Everybody, I felt the need to reflect today and ask myself if I am open and receptive to all of the Love that is available and being offered to me. I know that sometimes I ignore love and focus on what’s wrong or who doesn’t seem to love me. I also know how great it feels when I have a realization that love is the dominating factor in my life. Do you know those days when you know that you are ultimately taken care of and if you would just give up your doubts about tomorrow and your sorrow for yesterday, you could go ahead and be happy and appreciate the nurturing of today? I do. I know those days and that’s why I feel qualified to talk about this topic. One thing I had to do was open to how love doesn’t always feel or look very loving but it still is love. In my healing, I began to see and agree with the statement, “As God is FOR me, no-thing is against me.” If that were to be true in my consciousness, I could not think of anything as against me. I began to think about all of the things I thought were my enemy, (people, smoking, alcohol, my past, religion, politicians, the weather, my family, etc). As I thought about these things I began to see that all of them had brought me to this point and this point is okay. So, all of those things that had hurt me had actually brought me to a point of love. Granted, I allowed myself to see it this way, but that is a very loving thought. It was wonderful to know that the facts of my past couldn’t have been different and everything just wants to serve me. Everything can only serve me from where I am spiritually. So if I’m living an existence of spiritual resistance, then a lot of what we call negative habits and behaviors will be doing their best to serve us from that place. If I am deciding that today is the day I am loved, the universe will conspire to show me that…even though it might hurt a bit if I’m out of the habit. Life wants to serve us and we must decide how we want to be served. We are the masters and we are loved with an everlasting love. Today, declare “I AM LOVED and I CANNOT NOT BE LOVED!” Allow yourself to know you are loved within all conditions and then watch the conditions lose their power over your mind. I AM LOVED and I ALLOW MYSELF TO KNOW IT!” Let’s affirm together, “The Superconscious Mind is awake in me now!” We are all loved, Rev. Shawn

The practice of incantations is used to create powerful momentum in our life by helping us boost our self-esteem through repetitive positive chants. “I AM LOVED!” “I AM HAPPY!” “I AM HEALTHY!” “I AM WEALTHY!” Unfortunately, this extremely powerful technique happens in reverse way too much. We chant out loud everything we don’t want or don’t like and have no understanding of what is accidentally being manifested into our life and becoming permanent. “I am diabetic.” “I am failing in my marriage.” “I am unable to run a business.” “I am not good enough for what I want.” When you use the phrase I AM, it instantly creates ownership of whatever comes next. Be extremely careful what follows after the phrase I AM, because do you want to own your sickness, divorce, bankruptcy and loneliness? ————————————————————— Email us: MMMpodcastseries@gmail.com ————————————————————— Webinar Pre-Roll Ad: (start time 0:32) Registration Link - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-value-of-voice-tickets-120782996193 ————————————————————— --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/adam-ranada-ranville/support

The Bible has so much to say about our faith. And if I’m being honest, a lot of it is really confusing.  In Matthew 21 Jesus tells us that we’ll receive anything we ask for, if we have faith. Hebrews 11 tells us that it’s impossible to please God if we don’t have faith. 2 Corinthians 5 tells us that it is by faith that we “see” the path forward, and not with our physical sight.  But when I look into my own heart, I come face to face with ways I doubt on a daily basis. I often trust in my own strength, lean on my own understanding, and seek to provide for myself with my own power rather than relying on the strength, empowering, and provision of God.  But, I also know that simply trying to have more faith doesn’t work either. This is why I wrote a four-week devotional, Faith, to unpack what the Bible says about living a life marked by an authentic faith. Faith isn’t something we muster up on our own. It’s not something we produce or create. Faith is the natural response to seeing, experiencing, and believing in God’s faithfulness.  And the pathway to greater faith is greater experience, greater understanding, and a true heart-knowledge of God’s faithfulness to us that guides our thoughts, emotions, and actions.  We've launched Volume 6 of our First15 Devotional Series, Faith, created to guide you into transformative experiences with God’s faithfulness and empower you to start living a life marked by authentic faith. As we continue our week of looking at Joy, we're going to take time today to receive a fresh revelation of how God rejoices over us. God not only loves you, but he likes you. He rejoices over you, just as you are. I hope and pray that you get a real, tangible sense of God's joy over you today as we create space in his presence together. Our Scripture for today comes from Zephaniah 3:17, and today's worship is I Am Loved by Mack Brock. If you feel called to support First15 financially and double your impact today with a matching grant, you may give here or text GIVE15 to 50700. First15 is a daily devotional written and recorded by Craig Denison. If you would like to learn more about the First15 app, books, blogs, videos and our other resources, please visit first15.org. TITLE   I Heal Through My Songs with Singer & Songwriter Karen Drucker   GUEST   Karen Drucker   EPISODE OVERVIEW   Karen is a singer/songwriter with over 15 CDs, and she is also an author. She writes songs that heal and bless the soul!  Karen talks about being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), and how she is able to perform at huge concerts, travel to perform, and still honors her HSP needs.  We talk about the creative process, and what inspires her lyrics.  Karen jokes that if you want to know her issues, listen to her songs. Karen talks about her inner critic, named Zelda, and how Karen works with Zelda when Zelda shows up trying to protect her. Karen also sings a bit acapella, which made my eyes water.   HIGHLIGHTS Before I knew about being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), I just always felt weird When people would hear me say I was an HSP, they would just raise their eyebrow As a Highly Sensitive Person, I am aware; I’m empathetic and I can meet people at a deeper level Knowing the traits of being an HSP helped me to adapt I always joke—if you want to know my issues, listen to my songs My songs are writing to myself; it’s my therapy If I’m not feeling worthy, or I’m stressed about time, I write a song and turn it into an affirmation I think about what words would bring comfort and I write about it I’m doing more work with people with health issues, cancer, people in recovery or dealing with their inner critic—let’s focus and sing about it Music bypasses the bring and goes into the heart—literally. Oxytocin in released and it’s like having a musical meditation The song Be Gentle was written when Karen was having a hard time and was beating up on herself. These are the lyrics-- I will be gentle with myself I will be gentle with myself And I will hold myself like a newborn baby child I will be tender with my heart I will be tender with my heart And I will hold my heart like a newborn baby child And I will only go as fast As the slowest part of me feels safe to go I will be easy on myself I will be easy on myself And I love myself like a new born baby child And I will only go as fast As the slowest part of me feels safe to go I am gentle with myself I am gentle with myself And I hold myself like a new born baby child And I rock myself like a newborn baby child And I hold myself like a newborn baby child And I love myself like a newborn baby child   Karen tends to write songs from all perspectives—when she is struggling; when she is grateful, etc. Creativity is allowing yourself to be open. Karen said she is attuned towhat she hears in the world Karen never anticipated writing a book, but she felt a calling to do it We talk about how The Universe can conspire on your behalf, and what serendipity can look like Karen talks about her inner critic, whose name is Zelda, who is there to attempt to protect Karen. Whenever Karen is growing or stretching, Zelda gets stronger Karen uses mindfulness, curiosity, acceptance and she embraces Zelda Karen will tell Zelda, “I know you are there; I hear what you’re saying. This is MY truth today…” Karen suggests recording on your phone all the wonderful things you want to say to yourself, and listen to it several times/day We talk about why this can be difficult for people to do We talk about the struggle when people expect you to show up a certain way, but you are feeling more tired or quiet. How do you navigate this authentically (or not) Karen shares her birthday ritual and how she connects to herself on this special day   GUEST BIO   Very few people can say that they have been a singing mermaid, a singing casket, and was literally “elevator music” when she was hired to sing and play piano in a moving elevator. Bold Truths / Raw Faith by Restored Ministries

Perfect Love is what enables us to love without fear. When the Love Of Christ - His everlasting Love and loving Kindness is experienced - we can’t help but boldly declare I Am Loved!

Rise Frisco Weekly Messages

What's the single greatest need any human being has? There are lots of ways to answer that question, and Ephesians 3 gives us a unique and unexpected answer. When Paul prays for the church he prays that they would experience one thing above all else. He doesn't pray they would experience healing. He doesn't pray they would experience financial blessing. He doesn't pray they would experience faith. He prays they would experience the love of God. Join us as we discover that in Christ we get to say "I am LOVED!"

Forest Lake Church Sermon Podcast

The theme of Pathfinders is "I Am Loved" and just like in the parable of the Prodigal Son, our Father is waiting to welcome us with open and loving arms if we'd only turn to Him.
