Oímos una parodía del libro en Los Simpson y nuevas canciones inspiradas por "Matar a un ruiseñor", como "Atticus" del grupo británico Noisettes y "Harper Lee" de la banda irlandesa Little Green Cars. El guión y la narración es de José de Segovia con el fondo musical de la banda sonora original de Elmer Bernstein, así como la versión del tema principal de la película que hizo el guitarrista de jazz Bill Frisell. Other Voices is going to be in Ballina this September 28th and 29th 2018 sees the Other Voices Festival burst into life in the gorgeous town of Ballina, Co. Mayo. The ancient walls of St. Michael’s Church in the heart of the town, will shake, rattle and roll with two nights of music performances by Irish and international artists, recorded for TV in front of a live audience. The first three acts for the TV recordings have been announced and they are Little Green Cars, Seamus Fogarty and Maria Kelly. They will join five more yet to be announced acts at the inaugural Other Voices Ballina event in September. Tickets for the St. Michael’s Church TV recording performances cannot be purchased and will be given away through competitions in national and local radio, press and online. For a time, he was a freaking Beach Boy! As host of his own prime time television show, Glen Campbell worked with writers, Steve Martin and Rob Reiner, and with hits like Wichita Lineman, Gentle on my Mind and Galveston, Campbell was one of the biggest stars of the 1970s. Just before Christmas, I had a chance to sit down and chat with one of the most influential writers of recent years - and one of my favourites - Kevin Barry. He was in Cork to watch Little Green Cars play St Luke's Church. We met up the following day as he reminisced about his time in Cork in the 1990s, writing for the Irish Examiner, finding his feet - and teeth - in fiction, bringing acid house to Limerick, running dodgy nightclub promotions, the Beatles, 'Beatlebone', new Irish writers and more.
