Die Quinta dos Capinhas ist eins der nicht wenigen jungen Weingüter an der Algarve, die Akzente zu setzen wissen – hauptsächlich mit Wein, der schmeckt, aber auch mit dem ganzen Drumherum. "Wir sind ein kleines Familienweingut mit der großen Mission, den Ruhm des Algarve-Weins wiederzuerlangen", lese ich auf der Webseite – kein geringer Anspruch. Der Name des Weinguts geht auf die Familie Capinha zurück, der das rund 30 Hektar große Anwesen gehört. Wein wächst bislang auf etwa acht Hektar der Fläche. Das Weingut ist ein Projekt von Horst Lieberwirth und Inês Capinha-Lieberwirth. Mit professionellem Weinbau hatte Horst ursprünglich wenig zu tun – er verliebte sich zuerst in das Fleckchen Erde und dann in Inês Capinha. Deren Familie blickt auf eine lange landwirtschaftliche Tradition zurück. Die erste Ernte der Quinta dos Capinhas wurde 2017 eingebracht. Victor Gonzon, a native of Chicago, IL, began his journey in the remodeling industry at the early age of 14, developing the hands-on skills and passion that would define his career.
