Today, we'll hear two moving stories from young women. First, bereaved sister Mags tells the story of how pup Cici showed her brother endless joy and grace as he grappled with mental illness. Now, in his honor, Mags and her family have started an organization, Paws for Patrick, that transforms other people's lives through the love of dogs. Next, Morgan tells us how, with the help of Paws for Patrick, pup Mescal helped her work through a paralyzing fear of leaving her college dorm room. 

A surprise cocktail to wrap up the week!  Cask & Coast has showed off their creativity with mixology all week adding a splash of Mescal to an Old Fashioned and a splash of red wine to a Bourbon and Ginger, it should be no surprise that they swapped out the gin in a Negroni and substituted their Bourbon, the results of which are unbelievable! 

For bourbon drinkers the Old Fashioned is a passion and everyone does it a little different.  For Cask and Coast the twist they like is a little splash of Mescal.  Let's see how this goes over!

The story follows Lucius, the former heir to the Roman Empire, who becomes a gladiator after his home is invaded by the Roman army, led by general Marcus Acacius, during the reign of co-emperors Caracalla and Geta.A sequel to Gladiator was discussed as early as June 2001, with David Franzoni and John Logan set to return as screenwriters. Over the next few years, Scott offered occasional updates, including the possible involvement of the original film's lead actor, Russell Crowe, and plot ideas around the Roman afterlife and different historical time periods. Development was halted when DreamWorks sold the rights to the property to Paramount in 2006. The film was finally announced in 2018, and Mescal was hired in the lead role in January 2023, with a script by Scarpa. The rest of the cast signed on over the next several months, and filming took place between June 2023 and January 2024, with a five-month hiatus due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes (including the 2023 actors strike). Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for Ridley Scott's "Gladiator 2," 24 years after the original film, ahead of its November release. The trailer highlights Paul Mescal's Lucius Verus, Denzel Washington's Macrinus, and Pedro Pascal's Marcus Acacius, showcasing the Colosseum and intense action sequences, including battles and arena fights. The film, set years after the original, follows an enslaved Lucius opposing the rule of Caracalla (Fred Hechinger) and Geta, returning to the gladiatorial arena. The star-studded cast includes Mescal, Pascal, Washington, Joseph Quinn, and Connie Nielsen, with Russell Crowe's Maximus notably absent. "Gladiator 2" is set to premiere on November 22.
