The Madames are on a season break, so they stole a Tempad from the TVA to bring you their full commentary series on Season 1 of Daredevil. As far as they're concerned, it's one of the few good reasons to head back to 2020. And it's a great refresher just in case Matt Murdock pops up in Spider-Man: No Way Home.   Matt Murdock & Foggy Nelson agree to a truce to take down Wilson Fisk. Along with Karen Page & Brett Mahoney, they find Detective Hoffman & use his testimony against Fisk. Meanwhile, Leland Owsley admits to Fisk that the accountant & Madame Gao poisoned Vanessa. Fisk immediately murders Owlsley, then finds himself scrambling as the FBI rounds up his associates. In a last ditch show of commitment, Fisk proposes to Vanessa, who accepts without reservation. Fisk is arrested, but escapes the prison transport. Matt, in his new suit of body armor, hunts down Fisk. The two have a bloody showdown, which ends with Matt leaving a beaten Fisk in Mahoney's custody. “Daredevil” is touted as a hero in the papers as Fisk is incarcerated. Karen, Foggy, & Matt return to Nelson & Murdock for what appears to be a fresh start, but Matt & Karen are still carrying major secrets.    Daredevil is the launch point for the Netflix universe of Marvel shows. While keeping Wesley's murder to herself, Karen Page is caught in the middle of Matt Murdock & Foggy Nelson's silent treatment. Wilson Fisk is losing control as stressors converge: Wesley is dead, Vanessa is alive but still in danger, and now his mother is in someone's crosshairs. On a tip from Ben Urich, Matt discovers the headquarters of Madame Gao's drug operation & burns it down, but Gao escapes to flee the country. Meanwhile, Fisk gets more suspicious of his accountant, Leland Owlsley. A broken & defeated Matt finally realizes that he can't take down Fisk alone & bands together with Karen. But Matt's epiphany is too late to save Ben Urich, who is brutally murdered by Wilson Fisk in retribution for visiting Fisk's mother. Meanwhile, Madame Gao is increasing the pressure on Wilson Fisk, who continues to make public appearances with Vanessa. At Fisk's charity fundraiser, a number of people are poisoned, including Vanessa, by an unknown party. Iron Fist Episode 8 Review Podcast "The Blessing Of Many Fractures" Spoiler filled Synopsis Written by:  Tamara Becher Directed by:  Kevin Tancharoen After learning that the drug operations of Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) are in Anzhou, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) assumes that the plane crash was targeted by The Hand as his father was attempting to shut down Gao's factory. Danny reluctantly enlists Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) to seek answers in Anzhou. They infiltrate the facility just as Madame Gao arrives. As Danny tracks Gao he encounters Zhou Cheng (Lewis Tan), student of Chi Lin, who uses an advanced kung fu technique and plenty of liquor to prevent him from reaching Gao. Danny overpowers Zhou Cheng and confronts Gao and her henchmen. After a dangerous fight with poisoned weapons Danny engages his chi to apprehend Gao. Meanwhile, back in New York, the Rand board offers Ward  (Tom Pelphrey) and Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup) a severance package that fractures their relationship as he attempts to accept it; but she refuses. As Joy tries to understand her brothers rationale for turning his back on their Dad’s company and legacy; Ward, hallucinating badly after the trauma of killing Harold, almost reveals his darkest secret. What is the Kingpin playing on his jacket? Vladimir asking for ALL had to be a homage to Gary Oldman's "EVERYONE" in León the Professional. Claire and Matt's second scene more for I was hoping for, that she can't fall in love with somebody, who is so close to the darkness. I wasn't happy with their kiss earlier in the episode. This show continues humanizing Fisk. A villain who doesn't enjoy what he does but does it for his own rightful reasons. A big departure in Marvel film universe compared to Ronan, the Dark Elf played by Christopher Eccleston or Red Skull. I really enjoy this approach more. "Sexual Rain Man" Heh! So all was planned by Kingpin that Vladimir finds out he killed his brother to then get all his troops into one location. With John the Iron Fist and Irene the unbreakable Cage away defending, the remaining Defenders, Chris and Derek, take up the mic to chat all about the penultimate episode of Daredevil The Ones We Leave Behind. This episode was again written by Douglas Petrie and directed by Euros Lyn. Reeling from recent events Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll rather than Wolf as we say in the episode sorry!) has difficulty sleeping and turns to the bottle leading to an encounter with Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio). Meanwhile Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) recovers in hospital from the attack at Fisk's benefit and Fisk commits to make those responsible pay. The masked vigilante begins his investigation into heroin distribution in Hell's Kitchen and destroys Madame Gao's (Wai Ching Ho) plot operation only to learn that she has abilities he wasn't expecting. Ben Urich (Vondie Curtis-Hall) begins his exposé of Wilson Fisk but gets fired from The Bulletin. Unfortunately for the reporter a former colleague turns on him revealing his intended story to the unnerved Fisk.
