We're off this week but we bring you two Again With Again With This episodes full of Jasons Priestly. AWAWT 123: Let's Watch Jason Priestley In Christmas At Tiffani's! In this special holiday episode of Dinner At Tiffani's, our titular hostess -- with some assistance from her real husband, Brady Smith -- throws a dinner party for two of her TV husbands, the guy who was her 90210 love interest for a few seconds in one season finale, and their wives. Cheese is on the menu in more ways than one. AWAWT 171: Let's Watch Jason Priestley And Liz Vassey In The Christmas Episode Of Tru Calling! Did you know that Jason Priestley was basically a series regular on Tru Calling, Fox's mid-00s sci-fi show as a guy who could see dead people's last moments, and go back in time, or...something? We didn't, and after watching the series finale -- which also features recurring guest star Liz "Marcie St. Claire" Vassey! -- we still don't totally get what was happening in this thing. Tru Calling: "The Last Good Day" Few people remember Eliza Dushku's first post-Buffy series about a time-travelling morgue employee co-starring Zach Galifianakis, but it's one of the most interesting shows of the era -- both for its bizarre behind-the-scenes story, and for its philosophical, cosmic, and stellar second season that barely anyone saw. We talk about this masterful perspective flip that puts the "villain" Jack (90210's Jason Priestley) in hero Tru's shoes, questioning the show's entire premise and the ambiguity of the order vs. chaos concept, while still elegantly telling a story about suicide, terminal illness, and assisted dying. His dreams weren't unlike many of the other young boys his age, in his neighborhood- To one day wrestle professionally with the then World Wrestling Federation, to see himself on television, and to hear his name chanted by adoring fans at his beloved Madison Square Garden. At 14 years old, Jayson and a group of his friends went to the garden to see a WWE live event. After the show was over The Rock came out onto the wrestling ring and proceeded to talk to the audience. Although the show had already ended, the crowd was so captivated by him and what he was saying that no one moved! Although he fell in love with wrestling long before that day, Jayson left the garden that night with a newfound objective-he wanted that level of connection with people, with the fans; the love and respect that he saw mutually between the Rock and the fans that night". While such an experience would be enough to ignite a small desire to one day be like "The Rock", for most that is just what it would remain. A desire, a dream unfulfilled. The odds seem virtually impossible for most that they would ever make it into the WWE, nevertheless, reach the legendary heights of Dwayne The Rock Johnson. And for an African -American teenager being raised by a single mother in Flatbush, Brooklyn, the odds can seem even more insurmountable. First of all, how does one even begin to find their way onto the WWE roster? The road is not as clearly mapped out as it is for those that hope to make it to the NBA or NFL. While most of his counterparts were worrying about the SATs and college applications, Jayson began planning. Having performed in various plays and productions at John Dewey Performing Arts High School, Jayson's goal became even more apparent to him. While he valued education and thought about going to college since he was a child he knew that he wanted to be an entertainer. His experiences on stage, in acting class, and watching the WWE on television confirmed in him what he wanted to do with his life. Jayson couldn't see how the college could help him achieve his particular goals." So at 17, after graduation, Jayson set out on his path of making his dreams his reality. With laser-like focus and unyielding determination, Jayson left New York to pursue his dream at various wrestling schools across the country. It was in Louisville, Kentucky that his dreams began to take shape. At Ohio Valley Wrestling School, after four and a half years of struggle and hardship, Jayson signed his wrestling contract as a part of the tag team Cryme Tyme. At the tender age of 21 Jayson A. Paul became JTG, the youngest African- American to ever be signed to the WWE. Jayson has realized so many of his dreams time and time again. He wrestled for the WWE, he has definitely seen himself on television and he has heard his name chanted from Madison Square Garden to Paris, France. For many people that would be enough, but not for Jayson. Like Dwayne The Rock Johnson, Hulk Hogan, and many other wrestling legends, Jayson has now set his sights on making his mark on Hollywood. While he is not abandoning wrestling, as he still has more to accomplish as a wrestler, Jayson is also passionate about acting. With Jayson's work with the WWE as a sports entertainer, the transition for him is natural. Today's conversation is extremely important for parents to hear as we talk about how young people are being targeted by drug cartels with deadly fake prescription pills. Clare Kramer is joined by Wendy Woolcock, the special agent in charge of the special operations division at the DEA and returning guest, Amy McCarthy, Clinical Social Worker at Boston Children's Hospital. Wendy explains the messaging and rising death toll behind the One Pill Can Kill initiative and how Mexican drug cartels are literally making a killing off fentanyl-laced pills. Wendy, Amy and Claire share how parents can protect their children and the importance of educating them about the fact that one pill can kill! IN THIS EPISODE: [00:45] The initiative behind One Pill Can Kill and the growing fentanyl epidemic [02:46] What is a lethal amount of fentanyl and why is fentanyl the new drug of choice [07:51] The process that these fake pills are being manufactured [12:33] What do these pills look like [14:33] What can parents do to protect their children and how to have this awkward conversations with your kid KEY TAKEAWAYS: We have seen two milligrams of fentanyl alone in one of these fake pills is a deadly dose of fentanyl and can kill an individual. That amount is equivalent to several pieces of salt or sugar on the end of a pencil tip. That means a very, very small amount can be lethal, hence, the statement one pill can kill. The DEA has found that along with the CDC that four out of 10 pills can contain a lethal dose of fentanyl. Last year, the CDC stated around 108,000 people died as a result of an unintentional overdose death. This is not simply a law enforcement problem, and it is definitely not a law enforcement solution. It is a unified effort that needs to be taken on by parents, schools, and leaders in our communities. And we have to educate children about this serious threat. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 66th episode of "VideoFuzzy," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging nearly 2,900 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Providing Leverage," I was joined by Marc Bailey of the "Grailwolf's Geek Life" podcast via Facebook Rooms in celebrating the three-year anniversary of this podcast with a where-have-they-been conversation about Jossverse actors. First, however, I feature the pilot episode of "Leverage," titled "The Nigerian Job." In Cross Connections, I track Timothy Hutton, Mark Valley, Lily Tomlin, and track Michael O'Neill as a Golden Thread running throughout my media collection. In my Classic VHS-to-DVD Collection, I talk about encountering the series finale of "Boston Legal," along with episodes of "The West Wing," "Eli Stone," "Fringe," a scrap of grid search and election night 2008 featuring John McCain's concession speech and President-Elect Barack Obama's Grant Park address. In my Direct-to-DVD Collection, I touch briefly on a second season episode from "Supernatural" featuring La Monde Byrd as blues musician Robert Johnson and introducing a crossroads demon, early proof-of-concept for Mark A. Sheppard's long-running Crowley character. I then transition to a wide-ranging conversation with Marc Bailey discussing Jossverse actors in such shows as "Angel," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Firefly," "Serenity," "Dollhouse," "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," "Seal Team," "Harley Quinn," "Powerless," "Miracles," "Point Pleasant," "Wonderfalls," "Dietland," "Castle," "Pearson," "The Crazy Ones," "Chance," "Tru Calling" and Joss Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing," with comments touching on "Star Wars," Kenneth Branagh's "Murder on the Orient Express," remastering issues and spoiler etiquette.

Happy New Year! We start 2019 off on a positive note with our long awaited return to Good Reception! Mike makes Morgan watch one of his favorite short-lived series, the terrific time-looper, Tru Calling! With the likes of Eliza Dushku and Zach Galifianakis, a killer premise, and epically 2003 soundtrack, how did this high-concept thriller not last? And more importantly will Morgan agree that it’s a winner, or will she stab Mike through the heart like some kind of evil vampire slayer? This episode also features plenty of musical numbers, countless interruptions, a discussion of 2003 hunks, an attempt to name any young person, and the coining several phrases, including “Riding the Unicorn to the Powder Waterfall,” “I got the Bad News Browns” and “Gleaming the Pube!” Cut the Shit: Mike: iZombie Morgan: Buffy the Vampire Slayer If you enjoy the show please help spread the word by giving us a quick review on iTunes and sharing us with friends. Jason Priestley is still remembered as one of the stars of the seminal teen series "Beverly Hills, 90210." Of course, he's done plenty of TV and film since then, including series like "Tru Calling," "Call Me Fitz" and "Haven." But he's also now a prolific director, working on both comedies like "Working the Engels" but also sci-fi shows like "Van Helsing" and "Dark Matter." Now he's back on TV as the star of "Private Eyes," a fun, light hearted procedural mystery drama from Canada that has made its way across the border on ION. Priestley recently stopped by IndieWire to discuss "Private Eyes" with TURN IT ON.

Knew at last scene they will get back to the grave!! Bottom Line: Now this is how to cap-off a season, 10 out of 10 Punisher logos Season Bottom Line: The beginning under par compared to Season 1 but then it reached full throttle. 9 out of 10 "who or what the hell is Betsy??!!" But this opening shot is just ridiculous - for minutes Foggy not looking where he takes his next steps, I would fall to the ground quickly - and the writers if Daredevil knew added the water problems like in Flint to she show with Rosie's water - the lone many surviving the massacre, looks like a poor man's Christian Slater - Turk, the arms dealer from last season is out already? Din't the FBI catch him during the classical musical montage at the end of Season 1? - Shane really isn't very clinical with all his shots missing his target in the hospital - Karen's car...wait did she take Wesley's after she shot him? - better choice for Daredevil and Shane meeting earlier, for me season 1 finale with Daredevil confronting Fisk at the end was the weakest fight and weakest episode Bottom line: okay season opener, 7 out of 10 ~bang bang, he shot me down, bang bang I hit the ground~ (Kill Bill Vol. 1 opening track) OUTRO [58:43] Haley, Lauren and Stargate Pioneer love to hear back from you about your top 5 Marvel character lists, your science of Marvel questions, who would you pick in an all-female Avenger team, or who’s Marvel abs you would like to see. Joe Flanigan moved with his family to a small ranch on the outskirts of Reno, Nevada when he was six-years-old. He attended boarding school in Ojai, California, and later received a degree in history from the University of Colorado, where he was a world-class skier. Following a year abroad in Paris, Flanigan wrote for various national print publications and worked on Capitol Hill. After moving to New York to study acting, he joined The Neighborhood Playhouse and it wasn’t long before his acting career was launched in earnest. Moving to Los Angeles in 1994, Flanigan’s television debut was an auspicious one, starring opposite Jacqueline Smith in the NBC miniseries Family Album. He was the series lead on Stargate: Atlantis and a series regular on Sisters and First Monday. Flanigan has guest starred on Warehouse 13, Stargate SG-1, CSI: Miami, Birds of Prey, Tru Calling and Judging Amy, as well as Murphy Brown, in which he was cast as Murphy’s love interest, Scott. He has made regular appearances on the series Womens’s Murder Club, Profiler, Providence, Cupid and Dawson’s Creek, and also had leading roles in a number of television pilots, including Best Laid Plan, The Precinct, Sherman’s March, The Force, Man-Made, Club Paradise and 111 Gramercy Park. He co-starred in the made-for-television movies Edna Buchanon, Tell Me No Secrets and the USA original movie Thoughtcrimes directed by Breck Eisner. Among his feature film credits is Gary Marshall’s romantic comedy The Other Sister, starring Diane Keaton and Juliette Lewis. Flanigan also starred in Silent Men and Farewell to Harry, and co-starred in A Reason to Believe, The First to Go, and Good Day For It. A competitive skier for many years, Flanigan still enjoys outdoor sports tremendously, and counts among his pastimes rock climbing, mountain biking and surfing.
