I declare over your life that:·       The Lord your God has set you high above all your contemporaries. His gift in you shall cause you to flourish everywhere you go in Jesus name·       Only blessings are allowed in your life. These blessings are for you and for your children even those yet unborn in the name of Jesus:·       You are blessed in the city and you are blessed in the field.·       Your body is blessed and fruitful·       Your ground is blessed and fruitful·       Your enterprise yields intergenerational blessings in the name of Jesus·       Your workforce and every tool you need to work for you are blessed in the name of Jesus·       You are blessed in your storehouses, bank accounts and investment vehicles·       Your kitchen is blessed and your household is blessed·       You are blessed coming in and blessed when you go out·       You are blessed in your journeys and you are blessed when you are at home·       You are blessed everywhere you go for the blessing of the Lord is your shield·       Every enemy of yours who rises up against you are declared defeated before your face in the name of Jesus·       Every challenge facing you right now is declared incapacitated for the Lord God will fight for you in Jesus name·       The Lord has commanded the blessing upon you in your storehouse and in all that you undertake.·       The Lord has blessed you in the land which the Lord your God gives you to inhabit.·       Since God has made His heir, you are blessed with all the blessings of the earth in Jesus name·       The Lord establishes you and He has made you holy, blameless and without a single fault in His eyes·       You are a saint of God and are called by the name of the Lord.·       The Lord has promised to never leave you nor forsake therefore I decree that in this month, you shall experience the presence of the Lord and His Kingdom life in Jesus name.·       Those who hate you shall be afraid of you. You shall be a voice to bring the gospel to those in your sphere of influence.·       You shall have a surplus of prosperity  and abundance in every area of your life – in your business, your career, your investments, in relationships, through destiny helpers, in your health, in wisdom, in knowledge, in skillfulness, in prudence and over all the earth in Jesus name.·       The Lord opens to you now His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain over your life in its season. You shall be like a tree planyted by the rivers of water that brings its fruits in its seasons. You are always fruitful and productive by the spirit of the Lord.·       The Lord blesses the work of your hands and caused it to prosper beyond your wildest imagination.·       You are a lender not a borrower and if you borrow you shall make good use of it in investing right in the name of Jesus.·       The Lord has made you the head – and you shall be above only.·       The Lord is with you, you are a success in every area of your life and in every way.

Send us a textBrody and Rob Conti continue their conversation about what it really means to abide in God's Word. Rob shares why it's important to understand the full context of Scripture before diving into individual verses, and why we shouldn't rush to commentaries. The goal isn't just to get answers but to spend time with God and let His Word change us.Rob also talks about practical tools for studying the Bible and encourages us to be mindful of our biases when reading. Ultimately, Scripture is meant to shape us, not the other way around.Bullet Points from Rob's notes:Pray for Understanding: Ask God for wisdom and obedience.Read and Reread: Understand what the Bible says, means, and how it applies.Know the Context: Consider the background and literary style of the passage.Ask Questions: Who, what, where, why, when? Atonement, Reparation and Reconciliation to the Heart of Jesus Every so often we hear or read a statement that most Christians do not believe that Jesus is really present in the Blessed Sacrament. This statement is not new to our times! This belief and issue go back hundreds of years. Go back to the year 1673, in the convent of the Visitation Sisters, a religious community that is founded precisely to visit the Blessed Sacrament. Founded to spend time in adoration and appreciation for the sacramental presence of the Lord. Christ appeared to a young sister . . . Margaret Mary. Hear more on what Jesus expects from all of us in: Atonement, Reparation and Reconciliation to the Heart of Jesus Listen to this third installment of this season's Lenten Friday Conferences. Note: During the conference we hear the Montfort Spirituality Atonement Prayer to the Heart of Jesus. The prayer is in excess of three hundred years old. ----------------------------------- Image: Jesus Appearing to Margaret Mary Note: This marks the third Friday of the current Lenten Season, featuring special formation conferences covering a range of seasonal topics. You can revisit the initial installment, titled “The Spiritual Meaning of Lent,” (see web post for the link). The second installment is entitled: Where Did the Stations of the Cross Come From? Why Are They Important? What is the Peculiar Power of this Prayer? (see web post for the link).

The Rice Energy Finance Summit (REFS) is an annual student-led conference promoting forward-looking discussions on the most relevant energy finance, investment and strategy topics affecting the global energy industry. And founders Jan Goetgeluk and Jesús Patiño say it's just another example of what you can do with the support and resources found within the Rice community & network. Jan is originally from Belgium, where he earned a bachelor's and master's in mechanical engineering from Ghent University, and came to Houston in 2007 as a project engineer for Katoen Natie, a Belgian petrochemical logistics conglomerate. Jan is the founder and CEO of Virtuix and the developer of the Virtuix Omni, the first virtual reality interface to move freely and naturally in video games and virtual worlds. Jesús has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He began his career in the oil field with M-I SWACO in his home country of Mexico before expanding into deepwater drilling assignments in the US Gulf of Mexico, Equatorial Guinea, and Ghana. Jesús is a strategy and business development consultant at AerMill Solutions. He previously worked at Oceaneering International as a commercial manager for intervention services. They join host Scott Gale ‘19 to discuss how they first met at Rice international student orientation many years ago, how Hurricane Ike affected the first year of the conference (as well as their friendship), and the importance of swinging big.Episode Quotes:A reflection on rich experiences during and after Rice16:40 [Jan] It's such an incredible rich experience being at Rice Business School. It's a unique time in your life, and for me, it's still today the best time of my life. [Jesus] And that goes definitely to the program and also for the alumni life, right? Once you're an alum, there's always something interesting going on. And being outside Houston, it's harder to remain involved, but attending the events outside Houston and trying to be part of it. You always get more than what you put in.Ideas are like buses 18:39 [Jan] If you want to organize a conference and make it a big success, it's just a matter of doing it. A lot of people have a lot of ideas in life. And I always say that ideas are like buses. There's another one every five minutes. You have to do it, and you have to execute and make it happen. The Rice Business School advantage13:05 [Jesus] Every time I speak with a student, nowadays, I always tell them that there's only two years in their lives where they are going to be able to start an email saying, "I am a Rice MBA student that wants to speak with you." And that line is powerful because it really resonates with people; you get their attention, and that's a door opener that you shouldn't let go.Show Links:TranscriptGuest Profile: Jan Goetgeluk LinkedIn Profile Jesús Patiño's Professional Profile on Rice University Other links: About the Rice Energy Finance Summit  Virtuix

Once Jesus has accepted you and taken possession of your soul, do not worry about what is next.  Do not expect life to change dramatically right away, but do not be surprised if it does.  All that matters is that you daily renew the gift of yourself to His merciful Heart and that you allow Him to daily renew His acceptance of you in His Heart (See Diary #15).Look, today, at how often you renew the total giving of yourself to Jesus.  Do you do this daily?  Have you done so today already?  Make this a daily habit and let the Lord work miracles in your life.Lord, I do renew my total self-giving to You this day and every day.  May I turn to You always and abandon myself to You in every circumstance of life.  Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: www.divinemercy.lifeCopyright © 2023 My Catholic Life! Summary: Dive into Unit 7, which brings to focus the center of our faith: Jesus Christ. Explore the heart of the Catechism as your hosts Emily and Edmund explain how these videos can be used to share the faith. Learn about a strategy change for the Proclamation video, and learn what lines are “worth the whole Catechism” in the Explanation video. We touch on feedback from a listener, newly published discussion guides, and much more. Take a listen! Shownotes:  (00:11) Edmund Mitchell and Emily Mentock welcome you to this episode of the Real + True podcast. This episode brings to life Unit 7, which covers CCC 422-682 and its thesis is: Jesus Christ is true God and true man. The three videos for this unit are: Proclamation: Was Jesus a real person (or really God)? Explanation: Why did God become man? Connection:  What does it mean to have a relationship with God?  (3:00) Emily addresses a strategy change for this unit. This includes a shift from the usual focus of the first video in the unit. The proclamation is typically less religious and focuses on creating common ground with the audience, and drawing from their own life experiences. Because Jesus is the focus of this unit, the first unit includes a discussion about Jesus. The focus is on Jesus as a historical figure, and not so much as a religious leader.  (5:54) Edmund reminds us that “All of Catechesis directs itself back to Jesus Christ.” CCC 426  “At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus “ Every doctrine is related to Jesus. Catechesis is not about learning facts or truths but is about encountering the person of Jesus.  (8:22) The almost-interview: Edmund shares a story of his friend JP meeting Gordon Ramsey. The story illustrates the point that we can know a lot about someone but encountering someone person-to-person is a very different thing. A personal relationship is built when we encounter someone personally. Edmund mentions Walker Percy's The Loss of the Creature.  (14:00) Stand out Catechism paragraph: Edmund's standout section is CCC 460: “The Word became flesh to make us "partakers of the divine nature": "For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God." This caught his because it illustrates how radical it is that God calls us to share in the divine life of God.” Emily's standout passage is CCC 561: "The whole of Christ's life was a continual teaching: his silences, his miracles, his gestures, his prayer, his love for people, his special affection for the little and the poor, his acceptance of the total sacrifice on the Cross for the redemption of the world, and his Resurrection are the actualization of his word and the fulfillment of Revelation". This statement was powerful to Emily because it displays God's model for how we can live in relation to others.  (20:12) Shout out to a listener: Roy Sibaja! (24:02) The Unit 7 Explanation video explores the mystery of “why did God become man?” Emily and Edmund share about their childhood images of what God looks like. And how the focus of the video brings to light the reasons God became man: love, reconciliation, holiness, and the divine life. Barbara Morgan, the founder of the Catechetics department at the Franciscan University of Steubenville would say, “These four paragraphs are worth the whole Catechism.” (24:48) Connection Video: What does it mean to have a relationship with God? This video is a fun and dynamic video which asks questions that prompt the watchers to encounter the truth of who Jesus is. “That's what all of it is about.” Edmund shares about how his experience in college of friends who talked about Jesus in a personal way helped Edmund re-evaluate how he was relating to Jesus. “Rules without relationship lead to rebellion.”  (36:26) Real + True Discussion Guides...

FAVORITE TAKEAWAYS: Moms feel like they have to have tons of uninterrupted time - and we don't Sometimes we have too much on our mental plate Praying the Bible - Donald S. Whitney Satan wants us to stay stuck, anxious and disconnected We know Biblical prayer is our weapon “Prayer is the power that wields the weapon of the Word.” - John Piper If we don't spend time in prayer we try to do things in our own strength. We're so much more powerful when we're surrendered to God. Prayer is our only offensive weapon when you look at the armor of God The Screwtape Letters - C.S. Lewis It's ideal to have your own quiet time with God, but if you can't, it's ok to do it with your kids too. That doesn't disqualify that time with God. Keep the tiny humans alive and point them to Jesus Every day that we're alive is a battle for our family and for our kids. The enemy is going to do everything he can to break down your family and prevent you from being an effective discipler of your kids. We can't afford NOT to pray. You can't win the battle without the weapon. We can't hear God if we are drowning in all the noise. Prayer is a discipline and a practice. Disciple means learner. It takes practice to be still. There are so many expectations on moms and none of them are realistic. There's so much freedom in asking for help. Really think about what is preventing you from praying? James 4:8 - Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Matthew 6 Start simple. Find an easy method to pray scripture. God is not looking at you with judgement and condemnation when you come back to Him. Kick your shame to the curb. God doesn't deal in shame. Every time our seasons change, we have to adjust.

Episode Summary: As a Christian mama you have decided that you want your kids to know and love Jesus. You believe that God, through his Word, has called you to be the one to teach your children and journey with them and the Holy Spirit. So, now what? The most important first step in introducing your kids to Jesus, is you having a vibrant, life-giving relationship with Him. You must spend time with Him. You must know you are loved and you must love Him. When you are closely following Jesus, you won't be able to stop from sharing Him with your children. Your kids deserve a mama that is in a healthy spiritual place because you will be a better mom with Jesus. But, that is a by-product! God wants a relationship with you, just to have a relationship with you. He is not merely equipping you to serve others or point them to Him. He desperately wants a deep, intimate, and authentic relationship with you, his created, chosen, and loved daughter and friend.  You can't earn more of His love no matter how many devotionals you read, prayers you say, or your children walk with Him. In this episode we will talk about some simple ways to prioritize and nurture your faith. In this episode we talk about how, from her own words we learn that Mother Teresa of Calcutta would not have done what she did for many poor people even if they had given her a million dollars. However, she did it for Jesus Christ, the Son of God made man. In John 1:1-3 we read “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The Word is the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, God, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit. This Word took flesh, a human nature, in the most pure womb of the Virgin Mary. We address how the heresy of Arianism threatened to change the faith of the Catholic Church, but thanks to St. Athanasius and many others who suffered greatly to defend the Divinity of Jesus, the true faith was preserved. This is why “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Phil 2:10-11) - - - - - - - - - - Quotes used: John 1:1-3; John 1:14-18; Phil 2:9-11. - Council of Nicaea: A.D. 325. "All of Hell is against you meeting with Jesus." - Jennie Allen We experienced this truth firsthand this week as we recorded. Although the Enemy put up a good fight, the Holy Spirit was faithful in meeting us as we studied God's word. How sweet it is to know that at the name of Jesus EVERY knee will bow in Heaven and on earth and under the earth! (Philippians 2:10) Our prayer for this week is that "believers are added to the Lord increasing numbers- multitudes of both men and women. (Acts 5:14) Join the D.W.E.L.L.
