Studien zeigen, dass nur etwa drei Prozent der Erlebnisse im Leben wirklich im Gedächtnis bleiben. Das bedeutet, dass es in einem durchschnittlichen Jahr nur ungefähr siebzehn Erfahrungen gibt, die ins Langzeitgedächtnis übergehen. Die restlichen 97 Prozent verschwinden im schwarzen Loch unseres Unterbewusstseins. Doch genau diese drei Prozent können uns täglich weh tun, wenn wir nicht vergessen können oder wollen. Sie können uns zu Gefangenen unserer Vergangenheit machen. Selbst wenn wir unsere Schuld bekannt haben, fühlen wir uns oft immer noch verurteilt. Dieses Gefühl der Verdammung steht im Widerspruch zu der Tatsache, dass Gott für uns ist (s.Ps 56,10). Wir machen uns selbst ständig Vorwürfe. Wir sabotieren uns selbst. Wir glauben den selbstzerstörerischen Lügen des Satans, des Anklägers (s.Offb 12,10). Wie können wir diesen Ankläger besiegen und zum Schweigen bringen? In Offenbarung 12,11 heißt es: „Sie haben ihn besiegt durch das Blut des Lammes und durch das, was sie bezeugt haben“ (HFA). Also: Widersetze dich! Lege gegenüber dem Satan Zeugnis ab. Sage ihm, was das Blut Jesu Christi für dich bewirkt hat. Erinnere ihn daran: „Für die, die mit Jesus Christus verbunden sind, gibt es keine Verurteilung mehr“ (Röm 8,1 HFA). Gar keine! Null! Nicht den kleinsten Hauch! Statt dich durch das zu definieren, was du falsch gemacht hast, definiere dich durch das, was Christus für dich richtig gemacht hat. Statt dich durch das zu definieren, was dir an Schmerz angetan wurde, beginne zu bekennen, was Gott dir an Gutem getan hat.

Ref.: Josef Müller, Bestsellerautor ("Ziemlich bester Schurke") und Redner, Fürstenfeldbruck bei München Schon in der Offenbarung des Johannes werden die Christen davor gewarnt, dass die Begeisterung für Gott im Alltag erkalten kann. Heute ist das nicht anders: Man kann als Christ sehr engagiert und überzeugt sein, und trotzdem in eine gewisse Routine verfallen. In der Lebenshilfe beschreibt Bestsellerautor und Redner Josef Müller, wie die Begeisterung für Gott wieder neu geweckt werden kann.

Die vierte Krone ist die Krone des Lebens. Die Bibel sagt: “Glücklich ist, wer die Bewährungsproben besteht und im Glauben festbleibt. Gott wird ihn mit dem Siegeskranz, dem ewigen Leben, krönen. Das hat er allen versprochen, die ihn lieben” (Jak 1,12 HFA). “Bleibe treu bis zum Tod, dann will ich dir den Siegeskranz des ewigen Lebens geben” (Offb 2,10 NLB). Ein Hirte erklärt: “Die Krone des Lebens wird verliehen als Anerkennung für das Ertragen und Siegen über Versuchungen und Prüfungen, bis hin zum Martyrium. Motiviert von unserer Liebe zu Christus, geben wir nicht auf, bis Er uns nach Hause bringt… Fast das ganze Neue Testament wurde für Gläubige geschrieben, die vom Märtyrertod bedroht waren. Die Apostel rieten ihnen, durchzuhalten, um die Krone des Lebens zu erben.” Heute erleben wir die intensivsten Christenverfolgungen in der Geschichte. Open Doors berichtet über fünfzig Länder, in denen Christen am schlimmsten verfolgt werden. Im Jahr 2017 meldete die Organisation eine Zunahme des Trends, dass „100% der Christen in einundzwanzig Ländern weltweit wegen ihres Glaubens an Christus verfolgt werden und mehr als 215 Millionen Christen einem ‚hohen Maß‘ an Verfolgung ausgesetzt sind. Fast jeder zwölfte Christ lebt heute in einem Gebiet oder einer Kultur, in der das Christentum illegal, verboten oder strafbar ist.“ Die Bibel sagt: “Und alle, die fromm leben wollen in Christus Jesus, müssen Verfolgung leiden.” (2. Timotheus 3,12 LU). Tröstlich ist, dass Verfolgung uns das Anrecht gibt, die Krone des Lebens zu beanspruchen.
