In this episode of One More Thing Before You Go mid-1880s farmhouse, strange experiences, phantom knocks, missing objects, ghost, monsters, the matrix, UFOs and more in this Spiritual Sunday Spotlight where we showcase of one of my favorite conversations from the past. In this Spotlight I have with me John Olsen a paranormal investigative author who shares his favorite paranormal and the supernatural stories that he has experienced and written. I'm your host Michael Herst and this is One More Thing Before You Go! My guest in this episode is John Olson, who fueled by his own experiences with the unknown, has spent the last 25 years interviewing and documenting first-hand accounts of those who have witnessed all kinds of strange and unusual phenomena in the western United States. At the age of 8, he began to realize that the home he lived in was peculiar. His parents still own the old farmhouse, built in the mid-1880s. Strange experiences such as phantom knocks, loud boots running the stairs, and missing objects became commonplace for him as he grew up. With each run-in with what he called the “man in the hat,” John's interest in the paranormal grew. His parents forbade him from telling anyone of his experiences for fear of what others in the small community would think. John turned his passion for the paranormal and Supernatural into The Stranger Bridgerland series, which contains firsthand accounts of ghosts, monsters, hauntings, glitches in the matrix, Sasquatch, and UFOs, and we are going to have a peek inside the world of these extraordinary experiences …..welcome to the show Find out more aboutJohn and How to get his books at https://beforryougopodcast.com visit our store at htps://beforeyougo.shop This podcast uses the following third-party services for analysis: Podcorn - https://podcorn.com/privacy

In this episode, Angie and April are speaking with guest Susan Jones about how to leverage YouTube for your TpT business. Join in on the conversation in the mastermind group at www.growwithusmastermind.com. We're excited to dive into talking about YouTube because we've been committed to using it but coming up with excuses for years. We've always seen YouTuber teachers who were in the classroom during their videos. That was kind of discouraging to us since we're no longer in the classroom. So, we're excited to have Susan Jones as a podcast guest to help get us motivated and moving! Susan Jones started her YouTube channel, Susan Jones Teaching, in 2019 when she decided to start working on brand awareness. Social media wasn't something that she enjoyed doing, and she wasn't great at putting her face out there even though she had a successful TpT store. Much like us, she had kind of written off YouTube because most of the TpTers on the platform were in the classroom and she wanted to create videos where she could just sit down and talk about a topic. She started with one video a week called “Susan's Sunday Spotlight”. Most of the videos were less than5 minutes and she shared a game that teachers could use in their classrooms. She is now posting twice a week, and her channel has grown to over 81,000 subscribers. The process of creating YouTube videos Before we jump into all of Susan's tips, we want to share what her process looks like for video creation along with the time it takes her to complete. Her final edited videos are usually between 10-15 minutes. For each of the videos, she records between 30-45 minutes of herself talking. Since her videos are mainly her sitting and talking, she also records at least an hour or two of B roll footage. Examples of B roll might be a video of her taking a video or a resource being used that she can share on the YouTube video while she talks over it. This helps make her videos more exciting instead of her being a “talking head”. Susan likes to have an outline created for each video before she gets started. On average, she estimates it takes her about and 90 minutes to film a video and around five hours to edit each one. Susan's YouTube Tips for TpTers Here are the tips Susan shares with TpTers interested in starting or growing a YouTube channel. 1. Batch your work Susan uses her YouTube videos to focus on her main revenue streams. She focuses on one each week during the month and at the start of the month creates the 8-9 videos that will go out that month. She's found it's the only way to really get things done consistently when you have so many moving pieces to your business. Trying to find time to film and edit one new video every week would be a lot more time-consuming and stressful than dedicated time to it all at once. 2. Hire someone to help Susan's sister has worked in her business for years and now dedicates most of her time to editing her YouTube videos. She takes the video and does everything to get it ready to publish. Then, she schedules them ahead of time so she's able to work at her own pace. They are almost always scheduled beforehand instead of waiting until the day they are supposed to go live. Her sister is the one who adds in the B roll film or extras to make the videos more engaging like a cha

Meet two forces from the Bay Area Children’s Theatre: Nina Meehan, the theater’s founder and CEO. And artistic director, Khalia Davis. Bay Area Children’s Theatre is one of the leading theaters for young audiences in California. Since its inception in 2004, this theater has served more than 750,000 children and adults in the Bay Area and beyond with their musicals and Academy program. They have produced over 37 new musicals for young audiences including an adaptation of Chelsea Clinton's book "She Persisted." This month as part of their new Sunday Spotlight series they are sharing the performance of Khalia’s adaptation of A Kids Book About Racism by Jelani Memory. The show, A Kids Play About Racism, uses the power of theatrical storytelling to give children the tools to participate in the conversation with grown-ups.Part of the theater’s mission is to help create conversation and inspire positive social change. To quote from A Kids Book About Racism, “Racism is one of the worst kinds of mean someone can be. Because racism thinks someone being different is bad. BUT being different is actually good. Like REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD. 1000 percent good.” The play will be available all day on February 20th and 21st, and February 26th and 27th. To RSVP to see the show visit https://www.bactheatre.org/#/outreach-program. (CAN YOU HYPERLINK THE WEBSITE? THANKS!) Fairly new to the Yellow Tail brand, we sampled the low calorie Pure Bright line consisting of Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. Do parents feel remote learning is hindering them from providing for their household?

EskieMama Reads was started by Melissa in January 2016. Melissa is an avid reader and wanted to get the word out on the books she loved and EskieMama Reads was born. After a few months she was swamped with books to review she asked a friend she meet in a reading group if she would be interested in reading ARCs EskieMama Reads was receiving & reviewing Jara jumped on the offer. In June 2016 EskieMama Reads started a weekly feature EskieMama Reads Spotlight on Saturday. The idea came to Melissa of a way to help the indie authors, who have barely any budget to promote their work she would help them spread the word about their books she set up a spotlight to help them out. Request came flooding in for spotlights from children's books to fantasy from romance to non-fiction the spotlights were booked until end of December, she was turning authors away due to the late date they would get their spotlights. After a lot of thought Melissa decided she needed to expand the spotlights to more that one day a week with the overwhelming request. In August of 2016 EskieMama Reads started the Midweek Spotlight for romance only and the Sunday Spotlight for any genre, along with the Saturday Spotlight any genre
This has to be by far the quickest turn around for a guest on the podcast. Remember a couple of days ago when we named our Sunday Spotlight artist? Well I told you that I would try my best to get this guy to come through and lucky for all of us he did. Lazies meet Brown…again. The Nashville emcee and his manager fell through Da Den to talk how he got his start, his Hattie B's pregame ritual before shows, the meaning behind his 7:22 EP and more. We even got the homie to do our #VinylConversations segment and lets just say this one was entertaining. Can we say Eddie Murphy? So you know the drill…sit back…Relax and Listen! A couple of weeks back Plewto Smith was our Sunday Spotlight artist and after a few exchanges back and forth over Facebook, it was time to get him in Da Den for a podcast. Oh the hilarity that ensued. Classic episode today and stories upon stories, including life in high school, wanting to be a singer and more. Of course we got in a freestyle during our #VinylConversations segment. So you know the drill...sit back...Relax and Listen!
