We all know that feeling...Uncomfortably numb. We're so good at showing up and functioning in the most stressful and chaotic circumstances. Most women I know are masters at it.While this strategy of overriding our feelings and our bodies to do what needs to be done helps us adapt and survive, it's not a long term solution. When we go numb, we can't selectively numb. And there's a cost.A significant cost.To live our lives to the fullest, we need ways of breaking the cycle. We need pleasure.Let's dive in.Dive deeper:Join my free resource library; The Goddess VaultLearn more about my Goddess School; The Vital Goddess MastermindBook your free Desire Clarity Call here!
You might remember, I was on top of the UVA Basketball coach search from the get-go, being the first to tell you, among other things, way back in December, that Ryan Odom was one of the top candidates getting a look from the powers-that-be. I only know that kind of stuff because people in the know tell me that kind of stuff. I wish I was just that smart intuitively. Nope. Have you noticed that I haven't had a lot to offer lately on the transfer portal? It's because the people in the know don't know, either, why the flow of guys into the program has come to a halt.

In this uncomfortable conversation with myself (and with you, of course), I share how my experience of ADHD and autism has shaped my perspective on diversity and differences in our world. In this episode, I discuss the balance between the world adapting to difference and diversity, and how we, recognising ourselves as diverse due to a mental or physical diagnosis or difference, can find the resources and tools to support us in our continued engagement with the world—not to fix or change who we are, but to empower us.with love,EmmaThis article is part of my Monday Monologuing series, where I share about the things currently on my mind in an in-formal way, it's my intention to open a space for curious, contemplative, and connected communication with one another in a supportive environment.

Welcome back to the Vikings Tailgate presented by Ticketmaster - The official ticket marketplace of the Minnesota Vikings. The 'Monsters of the Midway' are heading to U.S. Bank Stadium for a Winter Whiteout game and Minnesota comedian Bryan Miller is all about it. Bryan and Cy Amundson break down why this season has both of them feeling uncomfortably optimistic, why the Bears seem to be emotionally spent at this point, state the case for Kwesi and Kevin O'Connell to be contenders for NFL awards, and look ahead at the prospect of week 18 being for all the marbles. All of this and more is on episode 49 of The Vikings Tailgate presented by Ticketmaster - The official ticket marketplace of the Minnesota Vikings. Also, be sure to check out Bryan Miller this weekend Dec. 12th - 14th at Acme Comedy Company here in Minneapolis. While the movie "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" is not necessarily preachy in nature Paul Asay with Plugged In describes it well as a sweet-spirited Christmas classic. Paul wants you to know this film does something that Jesus did back in the day: It calls out the most pharisaical among us. It reminds us, uncomfortably perhaps, that the very people we tend to avoid are exactly the people we should embrace; especially during the Christmas season.
