John DeChristopher started playing drums at age 11, joined his first band at 13, and began playing professionally throughout the Boston area. Working at Wurlitzer Music in Boston, John established invaluable industry connections, and moved to Los Angeles in 1985 to work for Simmons Drums, the beginning of an incredible 30 year career in the Drum Industry. From Simmons, he was recruited by Drum Workshop for the launch of DW Drums in 1987, and in 1989 he was recruited by the Zildjian Company, where he remained for 24 years, eventually becoming Vice President, Artist Relations & Event Marketing Worldwide. Send us a textSome truly exciting news! My new Craviotto drums arrived, so I did an unboxing. Well, a reenactment of my unboxing! Also, a short demo of the drums. Ignore the playing, and dig the SOUND of the drums. The drums are wide open, except for the bass drum, which has an EQ Pad inside. I used a Shure MV7 through my Zoom P8 mixer to record them, so the drums are completely flat with no EQ. You're hearing the true sound of the drums. And honestly, they sound much better in person than they do in the recording.
