After 42 days of isolation, I was required to provide a written response regarding my confinement, which was then sent to the government for further decision-making. Despite consultations with mental health professionals who have deemed this confinement detrimental to my mental health, the government persists in holding me in these conditions.I discuss the stark differences between my current maximum-security imprisonment and the conditions of an open prison, which is typically where civil offenders like myself are placed. The injustice of my situation is highlighted by the fact that I am being held in solitary confinement while others, including those convicted of more severe crimes, are not subjected to such treatment. The episode also touches on the broader implications of my imprisonment, including the financial burdens imposed by the judiciary and the lack of political and media support in the UK. I express my gratitude to international figures who have spoken out against my treatment and emphasize the importance of free speech and the fight against censorship.Throughout the episode, I reflect on the personal impact of my imprisonment on my family and the lessons I hope to impart to my children about standing up for the truth. Despite the challenges, I remain committed to exposing corruption and advocating for the voices of survivors of sexual exploitation. As I share my experiences, I call for support and solidarity from listeners and express my determination to continue fighting for justice, both for myself and for others who have been wronged by the system.

This week we dive into the archive where Anna is joined by Will Green MA, Executive MBA Programme at the University of Winchester and Sales and Marketing Director of Paleo Ridge. We discuss sustainability in the pet industry, focusing on the model adopted by Paleo Ridge as a raw food firm supplier, setting eco-standards in terms of making feeding raw not only ‘peace of mind for your dog', but also for the planet. In an age where Veganism is being suggested for dogs we discuss why ethical farming is needed to save the planet and maintain the bio-diversity without which the planet cannot thrive. And why of course dogs need to eat meat! Will explains the different aspects in Paleo Ridge's production that offsets Co2, and why we shouldn't consider dog ownership as contributing to global warming, but consider the offsets in Co2 that can be achieved simply with the the mantra: reuse, reduce and recycle. And never underestimate a dogs role as man's best friend, helping to better our physical and mental health. Welcome to the New Levels Coaching Podcast. As coaches we want to share our knowledge and expertise with the running, triathlon and endurance sports community. Each week, our host Lewis Moses, former Team GB International Athlete turned Coach, will be joined by a special guest and together they will aim to educate and inspire our audience to help them find their own potential. We want people to listen, engage, take the best bits and LITERALLY RUN WITH THEM!Episode 21: TRAINING AND RACING IN THE HEAT with DOUG STEWARTIn episode 21 Lewis is joined by Doug Stewart, who is a coach himself and is currently undertaking a PHD at Loughborough University, looking specifically at remote coaching. Doug recently had a number of athletes racing in TransGranCanaria, where his trail and ultra athletes faced brutally hot conditions. Despite this, the runners from the Elite Trail Team: https://www.elitetrailteam.com/ performed brilliantly and this could be partly to do with some of the heat mitigation strategies Doug carefully planned out before they travelled to Gran Canaria. With this in mind, both Lewis and Doug chat about the challenges athletes face in warmer climates, what happens to the body and what we can do about it. Specifically they look at pre-race preparation and trying to prepare the body for the heat, cooling strategies right before the race, as well as during the race itself.Doug and the team have shared their strategies on the Elite Trail Team website and you can have a read here: https://www.elitetrailteam.com/resources/heat-mitigation-strategiesWe hope you enjoy the episode, be sure to leave us any feedback as we would love to hear from our amazing community and don't forget to like, share and subscribe to the New Levels Coaching Podcast. Email the podcast editor Rod Sweet rod@atompublishing.co.ukIn this episode:New-homes confidence crisis [01:20]In December, CIOB published results from a survey that showed an overwhelmingly negative public perception of new-build houses. It asked 2,000 UK adults what they thought, and 55% of them believed that old houses are better than new ones.32% described new-build housing as ‘poor-quality'.There is a new set of standards called the New Homes Quality Code that is supposed to hold builders accountable, but signing up to it is voluntary.CIOB recommends that government reviews this to consider making it mandatory.CM deputy editor Cristina Lago spoke to the report's author, the CIOB's David Parry, to find out what this all means.Get the CIOB report: https://www.ciob.org/industry/research/newbuilds Lego-style building system [09:51]A 96-unit apartment complex built with Lego-style, snap-together blocks has opened its doors to residents in Palm Springs, Florida. It was put up by a small crew of unskilled workers armed only with mallets and glue guns. The blocks are made from recycled plastic and glass fibre. Glued together, they form a monolithic structure that is impervious to water, mould, and termites, and can withstand 250mph winds. The material is lighter and stronger than concrete, and making the blocks produces a tiny fraction of the emissions concrete does. The company behind the system, Renco USA, spent 10 years in testing, research and development. In October they raised $18m in their first funding round to build a US factory with a view to making the system available across the country.Renco USA executive Patrick Murphy tells this month's 21CC Podcast how they did it, and why they're not like Katerra. Can project managers be coaches? Amanda was somewhat destined to work in fashion from an early age. Influenced by her grandmother, who placed her in front of a sewing machine at age eight, she quickly learned how to use the machine and how to make her own clothes. Her grandmother's throwaway comment, having made her own dress only a short time after being introduced to the sewing machine, stuck, and Amanda's journey into the fashion industry was set. A combination of sheer determination, ability, grit, and, it has to be stated, a degree of bravery saw Amanda experience the industry from almost every angle as she progressed quickly within it. Following a number of years working abroad, Amanda returned to the UK. Parenthood brought with it a different perspective on aspects of the industry that had troubled her for a while. In 2009 she declined an offer to progress on her career pathway, and following a period of time where she painted and reflected on her next move, she set up The Fashion Factory (Fashionfactory.uk - offline),  a business run from her home and working to empower young people how to use their hands and a sewing machine to upcycle old clothes into garments that they would be proud to wear. The business was initially advertised through posters pinned to trees, but word of mouth soon took over, and Amanda soon found that her classes were full with long waiting lists of parents waiting to join this 'movement'. COVID hit the business hard in 2020, and Amanda set about tackling a problem that had troubled her for a while. In her own words, "Trying to teach ten or more students how to use the sewing machine at the same time was like trying to teach ten pianists all playing different tunes".  And so, armed with a home camera and editing software, she started to record and assemble a collection of videos that, when pieced together, allowed students to learn how to sew and create garments at their own pace. And so Fashion Rebellion was created https://www.fashionrebellion.co.ukIn this podcast, we follow Amanda's journey from school to where she is today and towards the end of the podcast, we have an offer for schools interested in exploring how Fashion Rebellion might work within their school. I believe this is a journey you will not want to miss. For enquiries about possibly introducing Fashion Rebellion in your school, please contact amanda@FashionRebellion.co.uk

She works across several mediums, from sculpture to painting and digital art. Characterised by vivid colour, optical movement and energetic visual cadences, Misha's visual work fuses a diverse repertoire of images and forms. Misha's work is often a symphonic abstraction. Her colourful, densely layered works are held in a state of tension between order and chaos, rational structure and spontaneity. She combines depth and surface relief, orchestrating bold contrasts of form, texture and space in her pictures. An intimate colour palette of bodily fluids - red, pink, white, black, yellow and brown - animate the writhing forms and the refracted memories of cartoonish cultural production.Misha's work is always spirited, humorous and filled with joy. Her playful totemic sculptures, reflect a kind of prism which defines a new form of appropriation and reference-making. Unlike other big databases it's high tech design ensures maximum security and peace of mind, whilst easy to navigate for pet parents. We discuss why having several databases can confuse and slow the process to be reunited with their owners. With one database arguably similar to the DVLA system, there would be less confusion through centralisation. With certain database functions (in line with data protection), the Pet Database offer features that can help trace your pet, and unlike others, is free no matter how many times you change your details. #makechipscount.Register your pet today for free at petdatabase.comInstagram: @petdatabaseTwitter: @PetDataBase.comFacebookSAMPA: stolenandmissingpetalliance.comTwitter: @SAMPAuk_Instagram: @pet_theft_ukFacebookThank you to Pawable for their support and get 10% off your first order of collagen for your dog with the promo code ADOGSLIFE10. HAPPY NEW YEAR! PART 2 for 2022!As we released PART 1 of this special two-part and festive 'Kimchi and Film' themed 'NoSoKoPo' show only hours before Christmas Day itself, we thought it best to hold out until after the first week of 2022 before dropping PART 2 on our viewers & listeners, by which time Jay & Tim would have just settling back into 'the new normal', and perhaps our 'fans' would have too!In this second half - which starts immediately after PART 1's interview with artists (and 'kimchi pool' designers), The Decorators - Jay and Tim dedicate a large chunk of it to Korean films, a Korean-related film or two and indeed a Korean Christmas film which recently graced UK cinema screens. Movies covered and/or reviewed include two by Kim Jong-kwan, "Josée" and "Shades Of The Heart", as well as "Finding Angel", "Heaven - To The Land Of Happiness", "Spiritwalker", "Drive My Car", Justin Chon's "Blue Bayou", and d even a documentary about Oscar-winner Ms Youn Yuh-jung... Oh, and chit-chat about when Jay & Tim met a couple of Korean film directors recently, including Mr Im Sang-soo.From film talk we mix this with chat about Korean adoptees, coffee places in KoreaTown and indeed South Korea itself, an exhausting London Korean Film Festival in 2021, touch on Korean plastic surgery, the Sewol ferry [as we did in Part 1 briefly] and a tiny video snippet from a recent Sewol UK memorial in Korea-town itself, as well as John Kim's Kimchi song again and speak a little about North Koreans in New Malden yet again - a subject we will be covering more in Episode 18 or 19.Listen out for us touching again on new gift-box company, "Seoulbox" [an unboxing of which will also feature in Episode 18], the Third Window Films podcast and the prospect of Jay & Tim doing 'live' podcast sessions in New Malden itself.Lastly, you'll hear about how Jay took up far too much of a KOFICE's correspondent's time, but at the same time learnt so much about how she (Tayoni) helps others with the Korean language via her YouTube channel, in addition to Jay, and indeed Tim almost 'food-shopping' in the name of Korean TV channel, KBS!Further information about subjects covered in this episode can be found here:FILM INFO:"Finding Angel" - Thanks to @themediapioneers (Instagram)"Blue Bayou" - @BlueBayouFilm (Instagram) & @JustinChon (Instagram - director)"Drive My Car - @drivemycar_mv (Instagram)"Heaven - To The Land Of Happiness", "Spiritwalker""Josée" and "Shades Of The Heart" - @monologue707 (dir. In this 16th episode and first part of a two-part Special Festive & Kimchi and Film themed 'NoSoKoPo' show, Jay and Tim discuss the recent Kimjang Festival in 'KoreaTown' UK [aka New Malden], have an exclusive interview with artists THE DECORATORS (with whom our hosts collaborated in kimchi related art project), play a parody Kimchi-themed song - along with video, if you tune in to the episode on YouTube - submitted by subscriber John Kim, and chat about Sewol, vegan kimchi, their health and more juicy Korean related news, issues and culture.Part 2 will follow in the New Year and we can confirm that the show continues the theme of more juicy Korean chit-chat, a focus on Korean films, have more mini revelations and continue on one or two subjects covered in Part 1. Will Jay and Tim cover all intended topics? Did Tim really have the 'Holm-icron' variant? Should they talk less about Korean movies? The answer to all these may be provided in that second half! Video viewers (rather than audio listeners) will have the 'pleasure' of seeing Jay and Tim's faces & their little Christmas Tree, and the added BONUS of the FULL lyric video to John Kim's kimchi tune, some unseen photos and even some pretty nifty screen graphics! - As always, www.YouTube.com/JasonVerney [or you can search for "JASON K-TOWN VERNEY] is where to head for all the video versions of these Not So Korean Podcast episodes.Further information about subjects covered in this episode can be found here:THE DECORATORS:http://the-decorators.nethttps://www.instagram.com/thedecorators/ (@TheDecorators)STANLEY PICKER GALLERY:https://www.stanleypickergallery.org/about/visit/https://stanleypickertrust.orghttps://www.instagram.com/stanleypicker/ (@StanleyPicker)KIMJANG PROJECT / FESTIVAL:https://www.youtube.com//KimjangProjecthttps://www.facebook.com/kimjangprojecthttps://www.instagram.com/kimjangproject/ (@KimjangProject)KBCE:https://www.facebook.com/KBCE.Officialhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/kbce.ukhttps://www.facebook.com/kbce2016https://www.instagram.com/kbceuk/ (@KBCEuk)KINGSTON KOREA FESTIVAL:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCor6nXPHMK6clXxeN_SpOlw [Kingston Korea Festival]https://www.facebook.com/kbce2016THE FERM / THE FERM LONDON https://www.instagram.com/the.ferm.london/https://thefermlondon.comSEOULBOX:https://myseoulbox.comhttps://www.facebook.com/unboxyourseoulhttps://www.instagram.com/unboxyourseoul/ (@UnboxYourSeoul)BEING BRASIAN:http://www.Instagram.com/BeingBrasian (@BeingBrasian)https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLuLXenUkM7hBv6d6sRGN9ARESTAURANTS / CAFES:https://www.instagram.com/theplacenewmalden/https://www.instagram.com/scjbibimbapchimaek/https://www.instagram.com/scj_bibimbapchimaek/MINIMINIMOVIE:http://www.MiniMiniMovie.comhttps://www.facebook.com/MiniMiniMovieshttp://www.Twitter.com/MiniMiniMovieshttps://www.Instagram.com/MiniMiniMovies (@miniminimovies)JASON VERNEY'S SHORT FILM - REPARATION:https://www.instagram.com/reparation (@reparation_film)https://www.instagram.com/NativeNomadPics (@NativeNomadPics)MIND IN KINGSTON:http://www.mindinkingston.org.ukhttps://www.facebook.com/mind.kingstonhttps://www.instagram.com/mindinkingston (@MindInKingston)KINGSTON ENVIRONMENT CENTRE:https://www.kingstoneco.org.ukhttps://www.facebook.com/kingstonenvironmentcentrehttps://www.instagram.com/kingstonenvironmentcentre (@kingstonenvironmentcentre)MUBI (UK):http://www.Mubi.comhttps://www.facebook.com/MubiUKhttp://www.Twitter.com/MubiUKhttps://www.Instagram.com/MubiUK (@MubiUK)HANGUK HAPA:https://www.facebook.com/hanguk.hapa.9https://twitter.com/HangukHapahttps://www.youtube.com/HangukHapahttps://www.instagram.com/HangukHapa (@HangukHapa)SEWOL:https://rememberingsewoluk.wordpress.comhttps://www.facebook.com/RememberingSewolUKhttps://www.instagram.com/sewol_uk/MAISIE ROSE DUFF:http://www.MDvideo.co.ukhttps://www.instagram.com/xmaisierose/https://www.instagram.com/MDvideohttps://www.instagram.com/waegukins/LINK to that "IGTV" video: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CVm8cypomMi/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkLONDON KOREAN LINKS:http://www.LondonKoreanLinks.nethttp://www.Twitter.com/LKLinkshttps://www.Instagram.com/LondonKoreanLinks (@london.korean.links)https://www.facebook.com/LondonKoreanLinks (Page)https://www.facebook.com/groups/londonkoreanlinks (Group)LONDON KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL 2021:http://www.KoreanFilm.co.ukhttps://www.facebook.com/TheLKFFhttp://www.Twitter.com/KoreanFilmFesthttps://www.Instagram.com/London_Korean_Film_Festival (@London_Korean_Film_Festival)KCCUK:http://www.KCCUK.org.ukhttps://www.facebook.com/kccukhttp://www.Twitter.com/kccukhttps://www.Instagram.com/KCCUK (@KCCUK)KAYA:http://www.kaya-music.co.ukIn fact, in this episode we cover a lot of 'Korean' ground and here's a little shout-out or reminder to people who we often mention, even if not in this episode [by way of their Instagram accounts/hashtags]:@NotSoKoreanPodcast@je_justina_jang@Paratize84@JasianVerney@BeingBrasian[Mine and TIMOTHY's podcast episodes can ALSO be found in this PLAYLIST: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLi-ZZE-1zF1M50lsEie0d_oqMm2Tq3i-J]#LondonKoreanFilmFestival#KBCEuk#Kaya#NewMalden#KoreaTown#LondonKoreanLinksRecorded & filmed on 11th December 2021 (Interview with The Decorators took place on 6th September 2021).The music featured in this show is by the wonderful Kaya:http://www.kaya-music.co.ukSHOW INFO: The Not So Korean Podcast with Jay & Tim is recorded live from New Malden, the UK and Europe's largest Koreatown. #36 - My Life as a Touring Rock Singer

A Voice and Beyond

Over the past few years, there has been much adverse press about touring singers suffering vocal fold pathologies; for example, in 2018 the pop icon Pink had to cancel a number of concerts in Australia due to illness. She was confronted with sensationalist media criticism and how can we forget all the negative press and public outcry over Adele's vocal pathologies. I am embarrassed to say that there has also been many negative claims from the singing voice community regarding these vocal injuries, blaming the singers themselves for voice misuse and lack of training and technique. Aside from this school of thought, there are others in our singing voice community who continue to amplify the misconception that singing popular music styles, or what we call CCM, can be detrimental to a singer's vocal health and longevity. I have sat on the sidelines, but in this episode, I replay an interview I did recently with Dr Jenevora Williams, where I was a guest on the podcast, The Thinking Voice. I was asked to share my own personal and professional experiences as a lead singer in a touring rock band and how these experiences, many of which were forced upon me, ultimately lead to my demise vocally, financially, physically, emotionally and mentally. I speak candidly about how I was treated as a commodity, the bullying and the shaming I experienced, the unrealistic expectations from managements, the gruelling lifestyle on the road, and sexual harassment. This was a raw, emotional and difficult conversation with Jenevora, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to finally share this part of my life that I had locked away and never spoken about. These experiences had a deep impact on me but strangely enough these experiences have shaped who I am today, who I am as a voice educator and they influence my every day teaching approaches especially when working with emerging artists. This has made me far more empathetic with aspiring and professional vocalists, given me a great understanding of the workings and demands of the music industry. My message here is to managements to stop treating artists as commodities, and for the voice community to stop shaming singers who experience vocal pathologies. It's time to be accountable and leave our biases at the door. The Thinking Voice podcasts are part of Vocal Health Education. Central government only undertakes tasks or makes decisions which localities cannot or which require uniform regulation. The gravitational pull of power to the centre is one of the things designers of the German constitution had in mind at the end of the Second World War. Germany had a certain fundamental and rather paradoxical advantage the UK lacks - they were defeated, along with Japan, and so their institutions were largely dissolved and reinvented in such a way as to avoid the accretion of power at the centre. This is a version of this week's topic - Subsidiarity - and we look at the German model in depth, and why it has been so successful.Talking points:Historic backdrop of SubsidiarityWe need to reinvent local democracyExecutive mayor in Tubingen and the pandemicHow that looks in other countriesTrust in government and optimal population (+/- 5 Million)Advantages of principle of subsidiarityHazards of disempowermentUniform regulation and local implementation in GermanyAshby's Law of Requisite Variety and subsidiarity...and child protectionRegional power, policy experimentation and learningLinks:Good 2 min overview of Subsidiarity (youtube):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD0moAiq22kTroves of info on Wikipedia:Subsidiarity in general:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subsidiarity...and the Catholic Church:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subsidiarity_(Catholicism)Pope Pius XI's Quadragesimo anno:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadragesimo_annoGreat conversation on Local Government in the UK (youtube, 10 min):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO8c1Iy1VWESuccesses in the fight against Covid - (Panorama/ BBC iplayer):https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m000thry/panorama-covid-who-got-it-right(Story about Tubingen 42:00 minutes in)A new kind of democracy in Yorkshire (article):https://www.shaping-community.co.ukIn depth archive on German law:https://germanlawarchive.iuscomp.org/?p=380...and a top-line view on Wikipedia:https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_government_in_Germany Hosted on Acast. Host: Nancy May, President and CEO, BoardBench CompaniesGuest: Nick Williams, CEO, The Inspirational Learning Company, Ltd. UKIn recent months, we’ve all faced challenges that previous generations would never have imagined. In doing so, we discovered new ways to lead. Although we’ve drafted new roadmaps, some led to places with solid footings, others not so much. Many of us also found opportunities to reassess our own personal and professional vulnerabilities. As such, one can expect that new leaders will arise from some unexpected places. In this episode, Nick Williams and I discuss where some of these leaders have already started to show up. It will be up to us to adjust our understandings of who we want to follow in the future and why.Nick Williams:Nick has spent over three decades exploring the themes of inspiration, leadership, courage, and what makes a natural leader, through thousands of conversations with people, many of whom hired him. He evolved from an IT salesman to an entrepreneur, leadership coach, and inspirational speaker. In following his calling and inspired to keep growing, he is, today, the author of 18 books, has spoken to leaders in seventeen countries, been part of hundreds of broadcasts, and worked with many household- name companies. He has guided many people in leadership, some who already were, or became, the best in the world at what they do.For more information on this show and others, please go to BoardBench.com and our contact page.Disclaimer: The views, perspectives, and opinions expressed in this show are those of the show Guest and not directly those of the companies they serve or that of BoardBench Companies, LLC. First there was bunting, and following that came Mandalas, mini Yarndale sheep, flowers and even socks. This year, the festival organisers are asking people around the world to put their time in lockdown to good use and make dishcloths which will be sold to raise money for a local children's hospice charity. If you have ever been fortunate enough to visit the festival, which takes place in Skipton in North Yorkshire in September, you will have seen the huge amount of items sent in from all over the world to support the various causes highlighted by the festival. Rhiannon Lloyd and Graham Joseph Hill discuss how Jesus offers forgiveness, repentance, healing, and peace after conflict and war. Jesus's church can demonstrate redeemed ethnicity, radical reconciliation, and the new humanity in Christ (Rhiannon has spent the last 30 years leading healing, repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation initiatives in Africa and other parts of the world). The Global Church Project episode #159. On www.TheGlobalChurchProject.comDr. Rhiannon Lloyd, a former Doctor of Medicine and Psychiatry, has been in full time Christian work since 1985 ministering extensively in cross-cultural situations. She spent many years teaching courses for Christian workers and ministering to people with deep emotional wounds. Since 1994, she has pioneered a reconciliation ministry in Rwanda, working initially with African Enterprise. She has spoken to thousands of church leaders leading them to a place of healing at the cross and facilitating reconciliation between the ethnic groups. Healing and reconciliation teams have now been formed in many other countries. She lives in Wales, and her ministry is called “Healing the Nations”. For more information see www.healingthenations.co.ukIn the early 1990s, Rhiannon Lloyd felt God calling her out of her own experience of conflict and suffering to go to Rwanda to help in the work of peacemaking after the genocide. She left her home in tears, with great fear, and with feelings of inadequacy. But God used her faith and her willingness to surrender to him and go, and over the last 30 years she's led thousands of churches and communities through peace and reconciliation workshops and processes in many of the most war-torn countries of the world. Never underestimate how God can use you when you surrender everything to him and follow his call.In this interview, Rhiannon shares her insights into forgiveness, justice, repentance, peacemaking, and reconciliation, and into ways to bring healing and unity after serious conflicts and devastating wars and division.

Olympic canoe slalom gold medal winner Etienne Stott hosts the first episode in a new series of inspiring stories from paddlers all over the UKIn this series presented by British Canoeing he'll be meeting paddlers and chatting with them to find out what inspires them into the sport and the environmental challenges they face.Etienne travels to Cromford in the Derwent Valley in the Peak District to meet the founder and boss of Peak UK, kayaking equipment. Pete Astles started paddling as a youngster in the Lake District and moved to Nottingham to train as a teenager. He moved on to making garments, taught himself to sew and has never looked back. His kit is used around the world. And Pete tells us about the secret testing that helped GB win an Olympic slalom gold medal at the Rio Games in 2016.Alongside his business, Pete is working on Paddle Peak - a great example of how a community of paddlers is trying to get more access to the waterways of the Peak District. At the moment there are relatively few places where paddlesports are welcome in an area famous for its outdoor sports. Paddle Peak is trying to change that.He wants to inspire kids to have the chance to take up the sport, regardless of income. And he wants to make sure the beautiful countryside is open to all.Pete and Etienne go to the Derwent Valley to talk about the project, go out and the water and talk about the things they've pulled out in river clean-ups - from laptops to road cones. A vacuum cleaner and a kid's slide. Pete reckons there's a ton of rubbish in a short stretch of river and how paddlers can play a key role in clearing it up. But he has a problem. There are barriers to access and Pete wants to get all river users together to come up with a code of contact. Etienne also meets 15 year old Alex McDermott who's a paddler, a member of the Youth Parliament and a force for change. Joe and his brother have been carrying out river surveys to investigate microplastic pollution. He tells Etienne he was shocked at the results. Finally Ben Seal from British Canoeing sums up what he's heard and hopes the stories have inspired other paddlers to take action. ------For more information on:Clear Access Clear Waters - British Canoeing's Environment Charterwww.britishcanoeing.org.uk---Paddle Peak Projectwww.paddlepeak.org---Cromford Mills Visitor Centrewww.cromfordmills.org.uk Peak UKpeakuk.com---Youth Parliamentwww.youthparliament.org.uk---And on twitter you can find Etienne@etiennestott
