Corrections (because we don't always get it right when we're recording):1. The Scrabble word Shawn said was "fergulous," not "Fergalicious." But let's be clear - neither are real words.2. The seven dwarves are: Dopey, Grumpy, Sneezy, Sleepy, Happy, Doc and BASHFUL. Bashful was the missing dwarf we couldn't think of.3. Subsequent map checking confirms that Holland, where Anne Frank lived, is definitely north of France, but it also shares a border with Germany. So Jane and Olivia were both right.4. Link to Tim Gunn's "Where's Andrae?" moment and Santino's continued impression on "Project Runway": https://youtu.be/FzUH6wjU46A.5. When Henry and Shawn discuss the caves, Henry said he used to "roust punks" from there. 6. The TV show Olivia would have known Steven Weber from is "iZombie," in which he played the evil CEO of the energy drink company that turned people into zombies.Affiliate link to the song "Waltz of the Little Swans" (Op. 20, Act II) by Tchaikovsky. If you purchase the song from that link, Jane and Olivia will get a small $ amount (maybe less than a tenth of a penny) for providing you with the link.Jane's podcast recommendation: Friday Five with Lori & JaneWe'd love to get a review of our show!Android users: Psych You Out - TV Podcast | PodchaserApple users: Psych You Out on Apple PodcastsPodcast Music:Pookatori and Friends by Kevin MacLeodLink: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/4229-pookatori-and-friendsMighty Like Us by Kevin MacLeodLink: https://incompetech.filmmusic.io/song/4050-mighty-like-usLicenses: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Twitter: PsychYouOutPodEmail: psychyououtpodcast@gmail.com

This week Neil marches with us across the wild beauty of Northumberland to a battleground that broke Scotland's heart. In 1513 Margaret Tudor watched as her husband, the glamours renaissance king, James IV of Scotland, set off to invade England and do battle with her brother, Henry VIII. When Henry invaded France James felt duty bound to honour the Auld Alliance, a treaty of mutual assistance between Scotland and France. In retaliation he led the largest Scottish army ever to invade England across the border. James' powerful force bristling with the latest military technology met an English army led by the Earl of Surrey at Flodden. It was a brutal and bloody battle, fought with formidable pikes imported from the continent, cannon fire, slaughter and a deadly arrow to the King's face.To help support ‘Neil Oliver's Love Letter To The British Isles' podcast sign up to Neil Oliver on Patreon – history, commentary and a whole lot more. Bonnie from Lakewood has asked us for help with her boyfriend Henry who she says lied to her about what he really did on his guys’ hunting weekend. It was the same weekend as his High School reunion which he told her he had no interest in going to but while he was gone on the hunting trip she saw on social media that he was tagged in several photos at the reunion, including some with his former Homecoming Queen girlfriend. Bonnie says she is not so much mad that he went to the reunion, but that he lied to her – so what else is he lying about? When Henry comes on he says he really didn’t want to go to the reunion and really was out hunting but his hunting buddies thought it would be fun to crash the reunion party and as their trip took them closer and closer to the reunion site, they went to it and he ended up in a bunch of pictures. Henry says it’s not a big deal and Bonnie is blowing it out proportion. He admits he was in pictures with the Homecoming Queen but says High School was a long time ago and he was definitely not interested in ever seeing that woman again. So who do the P1’s believe? Does Henry’s story add up? And where the heck are all the Elk?
13 Henry and the FBI Henry was woken by a loud pounding on his door. It was still dark and before he could respond two agents were in his room. “What’s going on?" Henry asked, his brain starting to spin with theories. “We need you to get dressed and come downstairs," one of the agents said without further explanation. “Do I have time to shower? Am I under arrest?" Henry asked. “No," the agent responded. It took Henry all of three minutes to dress and follow the agent out the door. Henry noticed the other agent had picked up his phone off his nightstand without asking Henry’s permission. A few minutes later, Henry was handed a cup of coffee and asked to sit in an empty meeting room. Agent Cole joined him a few minutes later. “We understand that you and your girlfriend Jane Galt are now working together," Agent Cole started in with Henry without any introductions. “And who are you? And why is it any of your business?" Henry said defiantly. “I am Agent Cole and I suggest you cooperate with me, considering the seriousness of the situation," Agent Cole said, without an inflection in his voice. “I have no fucking idea what you are talking about," Henry said raising his voice. “Are you denying that you and Ms. Galt are involved?" Agent Cole continued. “My relationship with Jane is none of your business. What are you accusing her of doing?" Henry said trying to calm down and be rational. “Espionage. Attacking the States and a dozen other terrorist acts," Agent Cole stated without explanation. “What is your relationship with Jane?” “I’m working with her on some economic models," Henry said without elaboration. “Do I need a lawyer?” “No. If we choose, we will declare you an enemy combatant under the latest terrorist act, and your rights will be suspended. Besides, you are not a citizen of the States, you are a Texan. I suggest you cooperate. Is that your choice to be considered a cooperating witness?” Agent Cole asked. “Up to a point," Henry answered. “Is that a yes?” Agent Cole asked firmly. Henry hesitated and then answered, “Yes, for now." When Agent Cole glared at him, he answered simply “Yes." “What do you know about Lisa?" Agent Cole asked and held out his phone between them. When Henry looked at him, Agent Cole continued, “Someone else will be joining us in this conversation." listen for more ... --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/alamo/message
This week Henry's guest is a technical analyst with a serious pedigree. Most members of Marcus Today will know that Henry is not a technical analyst. Being colour blind does not help. But many follow Technical Analysis and it is a significant part of investment timing. Regina Meani is one of Australia’s best-known technical analysts and had a career working for some of the biggest brokers and investment banks in Australia. She has written a book on the subject which is available on her web site called "Charting". When Henry first met Regina she had emigrated to Sydney and was working for Bain and Co (as it was, now Deutsche Bank). At that time technical analysis was called "charting" and was a very hands on business that required a pencil and graph paper. Henry and Regina talk charting as well as her current technical market view and the levels she is looking at. Regina is now an independent technical analyst and consults extensively to brokers and private professional traders.

Fortune Magazine CEO Alan Murray joins Tim to tell the story behind the Fortune 500, its history, its significance today, and what it has said over the years about America's and the world's business evolution. https://traffic.libsyn.com/shapingopinion/Fortune_500_auphonic.mp3 Fortune Magazine was founded in 1929 by Henry Robinson Luce. If that date doesn't mean anything to you at first glance, keep in mind the stock market crash that led to the Great Depression happened on October 24, 1929. This was seven years after he had cofounded Time magazine with two Yale classmates. When Henry founded Fortune magazine, he said it should be for “wealthy and influential people,” and it should be “surpassingly beautiful” so that when readers turn the pages, they will pay more, and they did. In its first year, subscribers paid $10 per year for the magazine, an unheard of price at that time. In the process, Fortune Magazine featured the work of some of the country's greatest thinkers and writers, from Ernest Hemingway and Archibald MacLeish to John Kenneth Galbraith. The first Fortune 500 list was published in 1955. Edgar P. Smith was an assistant managing editor at the magazine. He's the one who came up with the idea for the now iconic list. In that fist year, the Fortune 500 rankings listed only companies that were in the manufacturing, mining and energy sectors. This made the list exclusive to several already well-known companies. Today’s guest is an entrepreneur named Thomas J. Henry. He’s created a mega-million dollar law firm (one of the biggest in the country) by leveraging his flashy personal brand, and by winning massive cases. And, his opulence and personal brand have garnered all sorts of his attention. By example, when Henry wanted to advertise his namesake firm during the 2014 Super Bowl, he ran a commercial that showed him deplaning a Learjet and ducking into a silver Rolls-Royce. When Henry’s daughter Maya turned fifteen, he threw her a quinceañera that cost $6 million, complete with performances by the rapper Pitbull. On today’s episode, we dive into lessons in scaling multi-million dollar businesses, personal branding lessons, and all things action and ambition. Henry grew up in the Riverina in NSW, outside of Griffith. When Henry was a teenager, his father left for the war and went to fight the Japanese in Singapore. Henry and his 7 siblings didn't hear from him again. Henry was called up some years later and found himself in Indonesia as part of a team building airstrips and a hospital with the RAAF. What follows is a truly remarkable story.

This podcast episode features Miami’s Ball & Chain. Within the confines of Little Havana stands an institution that has lived a couple of lives. Within the walls of a building that was constructed in 1930 is an entertainment venue that provides libations, live music and dancing in the heart of the Tamiami Trail. In its first incarnation, the night spot provided live music and dancing beginning in the 1935. By the late 1940s, the entertainment lineup included live Jazz and burlesque shows. When Henry and Ray Miller bought the establishment in the early 1950s, they began booking well-known black entertainers such as Count Basie and Billie Holliday, and a very talented but troubled white entertainer by the name of Chet Baker. Castle Rock Zone for Castle Rock season 01, episode 09, "Henry Deaver". Wayne and Geoff share the best of the best scenes from the 9th episode of Hulu's Castle Rock, entitled "Henry Deaver". We review and make some sense of the episode, we point out this episode's "Life Lesson of the Week", dig into the King Connections, and share numerous thoughts and theories from you, the Castle Rockers. Henry Deaver was the man, er, men of the hour this week. We learned that The Kid was Henry Deaver from a different reality. To quote The Dark Tower “…there are other worlds than these.” The Kid’s real name IS Henry Matthew Deaver and he came from another world/reality. In this reality he is the child of Matthew and Ruth, but Alan convinced Ruth to leave Matthew. Ruth and Henry ran off to Boston and Alan quickly followed. Ruth still developed Alzheimer’s disease. This inspired Henry to find a cure. He became a doctor and has found promise in a brain implant. He has a happy life with is wife Marren. They have been trying for a month for a child and she is a day late on her period. But things go off the rails when he gets a call from Alan. Ruth is fine. The call is about Matthew. Henry heads back to Castle Rock for the first time since he was 12. The town is prospering. The downtown is filled with businesses and the Mellow Tiger is a gastro pub. Henry decided to walk the rest of the way. He passes through the harvest festival, by his dad’s old church which is looking sharpe, and on to his old house. Inside the place is a wreck and almost like a hoarder’s paradise. There are piles of junk, papers and even rotting food everywhere. Henry looks out of his room and remembers the flash lights with Molly. He sees a car at her house and walks over. Molly’s sister thinks he is there to buy the house. Molly comes out and is blown away that it is Henry. They have a drink at the Mellow Tiger. Molly is the city council chair and everyone loves her. In this reality her sister is the screw up. When Henry gets back to the house a fuse blows and he heads to the basement to fix it. There he finds a boy locked in a cage. It is the Henry from our universe/reality. They police and EMT’s come to check him out. Dennis Zalewski is a Castle Rock police officer and he questions Henry about his dad and The Kid. He says the kid is only saying the name Henry Deaver. The Kid hears the Schisma and makes a run for the woods, but is caught. Henry questions everything about his past and his dad. He finds a tape recorder and learns that his dad has been documenting the crazy things that have happened in the Rock, the Schisma, and more. Henry fines more tapes in the shed. The tapes are numbered one for each week and there are 1400. 27 years of tapes and Henry finds several that shock him. He plays them for Molly. It turns out that The Kid showed up at Matthew’s back door calling him Dad and saying he heard the Schisma and woke up in the woods. Molly and Henry head off to talk with The Kid. Bottle refusal - What can you do? The reality is that summertime with kids is a lot of work and taking them to the pool can be exhausting. Talia talk about the added work load of having a baby with a helmet on when you take them out in the heat and keeping the helmet dry during pool time. When Henry began daycare, he just would not take a bottle. Talia hoped that he would learn to take the bottle and be happy with this too! When she realized he had absolutely not interest and we talked about reverse cycling, Talia decided to change her mindset. Rather than be upset and worried about him, she decided to go with the flow. This does mean that he makes up for those lost feedings by having more frequent feedings when he is with him Mommy and this includes him waking up at nighttime when before he was sleeping longer periods. Talia talks about how she has adjusted to this and also talks about other parents response when she says that he is not taking the bottle. Henry is a well fed baby and is gaining well and is also a very happy baby while in daycare. As long as he gets his naps in, he is a very happy baby. We also got into a great conversation about expectations as parents and how our kids fit into our life. Expecting to have a lot of control and structuring your whole day like you did before, often does not work out too well. There is a mindset shift that needs to happen as new parents so you can be happy and enjoy your baby.

This story is about a little boy who finds a palm- sized drangon in a holiday souvenir. When Henry runs into some trouble with bullies at school, his new friend decides to help him out. Stay tuned for part 2 of this story- coming soon! Dedicated to Henry, 6.
Director #ColinTrevorrow decides to take a short break from large budget films like Jurassic World to delve into his newest indie film project, The Book of Henry. Starring Naomi Watts, Jaeden Lieberher, and Jacob Tremblay as a single mother and her two young sons. #JaedenLieberher plays Henry, an 11-year-old boy genius who has a hyper focus on the ideas of good and evil, and what his legacy should be to his family. His mother Susan (#NaomiWatts) is a woman who has disempowered herself to allow Henry to become this guiding male figure in their lives. When Henry suspects that there is something strange happening to the girl next door, he decides to create a plan and he pulls his mother in for the task. Recovery and fitness is a theme we just can't seem to get away from on Airing Addiction. A week ago, Henry Ward, ran 24 hours straight on the Belmont High School track. Why? Well to raise awareness for addiction and recovery. When Henry got sober 9 years ago he felt good, for awhile, but knew he needed something more; sobriety alone wasn't enough. He started walking and then running. Along the way, a community formed and Henry found himself. Miracles upon miracles kept showing up in his life. Put on the headphones, tie up the laces and hit the ground running. Run Henry Run...one man's inspiring journey touches countless lives.
When Robin retired, she knew she wanted to explore new fields and expand her horizons. She came across an opportunity to volunteer with troubled youth. You've probably never heard of an “Independent Visitor For Youth Justice”. Henry certainly hadn't before this show. But Robin decided to take on that responsibility when she retired. When Henry went to interview Robin Turnbridge, they were initially going to discuss downsizing. Robin decided she would rather discuss her experience with Juvenile Justice and it became a wonderful topic of discussion. Robin intuitively knew that it was important to replace the routine of her working life with meaningful activity. Once a month, she goes to a Youth Justice Facility which are for teens who have committed serious crimes and are in custody. Robin goes into greater detail in the interview, but they talk with the teens, check in on them, and sometimes act as an advocate for the teens. Robin explains how she found this new role, what it entails, and why she loves it. She has transitioned the experiences of her working life to use them in a different arena. Brilliant! Henry and Robin also discuss: * What Robin did before retirement * How she planned for her retirement and what she thought she would be doing in retirement * Her Retirement Party (or farewell as they call it in Australia) which she says is very important * Other things she has been doing since her retirement besides working with troubled youth If you listen carefully, you'll appreciate that this kind-hearted woman's first priority is her family, and her second priority is her role giving to society through her involvement in juvenile justice. Leave a comment in the box below and let us know if there are avenues other than prison to try and rehabilitate troubled youth, or if you think that is an impossible dream. When Henry agreed to be a co-host of KaBlam, he thought it was just three hots and a cot. Never expected he'd be taking the heat for the corrupt execs representing all the b-list cartoons. Henry was caught in a place where cartoons and comics collided, with him as the collateral damage. He could take it, for a while, but when the Cartoncast came by to grill him on the health and well-being of KaBlam employees, it all came spilling out. "What's it matter, anyway?" he cried. "My life aint worth a thing. Not a thing."Anyway, while we get Henry his meds, let's turn the page and watch Life with Loopy! Yearghh.
Rebroadcast of the long running radio program, "The Ave Maria Hour", a presentation of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. www.AtonementFriars.org St. Thomas Becket - A strong man who wavered for a moment, but then learned one cannot come to terms with evil and so became a strong churchman, a martyr and a saint—that was Thomas Becket, archbishop of Canterbury, murdered in his cathedral on December 29, 1170. His career had been a stormy one. While archdeacon of Canterbury, he was made chancellor of England at the age of 36 by his friend King Henry II. When Henry felt it advantageous to make his chancellor the archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas gave him fair warning: he might not accept all of Henry’s intrusions into Church affairs. Nevertheless, he was made archbishop (1162), resigned his chancellorship and reformed his whole way of life! Troubles began. Henry insisted upon usurping Church rights. At one time, supposing some conciliatory action possible, Thomas came close to compromise. He momentarily approved the Constitutions of Clarendon, which would have denied the clergy the right of trial by a Church court and prevented them from making direct appeal to Rome. But Thomas rejected the Constitutions, fled to France for safety and remained in exile for seven years. When he returned to England, he suspected it would mean certain death. Because Thomas refused to remit censures he had placed upon bishops favored by the king, Henry cried out in a rage, “Will no one rid me of this troublesome priest!” Four knights, taking his words as his wish, slew Thomas in the Canterbury cathedral. Thomas Becket remains a hero-saint down to our own times.

The FORD THEATER, sponsored by the Ford Motor Company, presented hour long dramas first on NBC for one only season. The series moved to CBS for its second and last season. There were 39 NBC and 39 CBS hour- long shows (not verified). The show initially received an unfavorable review from the New York Times for poor script adaptation but was still highly rated for the actors' performance and overall production. The show was supposed to feature only original scripts but had to forgo that plan due to lack of quality material. The first season on NBC used radio actors under the direction of George Zachary. Martin Gabel announced the first show but was soon replaced by Kenneth Banghart. The second season, on CBS, used Hollywood screen actors in the lead roles, supported by radio actors. Fletcher Markle, who previously produced CBS's STUDIO ONE series, was the producer for the second season. Although a short series, it still has some of radio's best dramas. THIS EPISODE: A Farewell To Arms - Lieutenant Frederic Henry is a young American ambulance driver serving in the Italian army during World War I. At the beginning of the novel, the war is winding down with the onset of winter, and Henry arranges to tour Italy. The following spring, upon his return to the front, Henry meets Catherine Barkley, an English nurse’s aide at the nearby British hospital and the love interest of his friend Rinaldi. Rinaldi, however, quickly fades from the picture as Catherine and Henry become involved in an elaborate game of seduction. Grieving the recent death of her fiancé, Catherine longs for love so deeply that she will settle for the illusion of it. Her passion, even though pretended, wakens a desire for emotional interaction in Henry, whom the war has left coolly detached and numb. When Henry is wounded on the battlefield, he is brought to a hospital in Milan to recover. Several doctors recommend that he stay in bed for six months and then undergo a necessary operation on his knee. Unable to accept such a long period of recovery, Henry finds a bold, garrulous surgeon named Dr. Valentini who agrees to operate immediately. Henry learns happily that Catherine has been transferred to Milan and begins his recuperation under her care.
