Na research blijkt dit een brouwerij uit Zeeland te zijn. Gewoon in Nederland. In deze 2-wekelijkse podcast praten Juan en Marc kort bij. Original Airdate 1/15/2016Alan Rickman has passed away, now a group of the usual suspects from the Radulich in Broadcasting Network get together to reminesce and pay tribute to his career and talent.Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman (21 February 1946 – 14 January 2016) was an English actor and director. Known for his distinctive deep, languid voice, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London and became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), performing in modern and classical theatre productions. He played the Vicomte de Valmont in the RSC stage production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 1985, and after the production transferred to the West End in 1986 and Broadway in 1987, he was nominated for a Tony Award.Throughout 2005, Rickman received treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer, culminating in a prostatectomy in January 2006. The operation coincided with the casting for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and he deliberated over whether to return to the series, but decided in favour, stating: "The argument that wins is the one that says: 'See it through. It's your story.'"In August 2015, Rickman had a minor stroke, which led to the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He revealed that he had terminal cancer to only his closest confidants. On 14 January 2016, he died in London at the age of 69. His remains were cremated on 3 February 2016 in the West London Crematorium in Kensal Green. His ashes were given to his wife, Rima Horton. His final two films, Eye in the Sky and Alice Through the Looking Glass, were dedicated to his memory, as was The Limehouse Golem, which would have been his next project.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulich

At all times, the physical content of certified alternative feedstock is known and monitored.Script 2Number two: you pulled Snowdrop away by the tail just as I had put down the saucer of milk before her! What, you were thirsty, were you? How do you know she wasn't thirsty too? Now for number three: you unwound every bit of the worsted while I wasn't looking!‘That's three faults, Kitty, and you've not been punished for any of them yet. You know I'm saving up all your punishments for Wednesday week—Suppose they had saved up all my punishments!' she went on, talking more to herself than the kitten. ‘What would they do at the end of a year? For the Ancient Egyptians they were seen as receptacles for the soul, for the Aztecs they were used to tell the future and for the early Christians, they were an aid for reaching self-knowledge. And mirrors' key role in the reflection of light led to the development of high-powered telescopes to explore the universe. No human invention has been so closely tied with our sense of self and the world around us. And yet mirrors also have a capacity to deceive us – so how much attention should we give them in our lives, and are we overly obsessed with our image in the mirror? Joining Rajan Datar to find out more about the history of mirrors is Dr Elizabeth Baquedano, a specialist in the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica and Senior Honorary Lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology, University College, London. Dr Franziska Kolt, a post-doctoral research fellow in the history of science at the University of York in England, who's written Alice Through the Wonderglass: the Surprising Histories of a children's classic. For those of you scoring at home, yes the title is in reference to the famous Helen Keller quote. "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all." - Helen Keller https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdSVYluWmN8 Transcription Living a daring adventure. Hi I'm Brian Pombo, welcome back to Brian J. Pombo Live. Today I'm coming to you from my car. Because all the kids are trying to sleep up in the hotel room. This neon light is a little bit of a clue as to where I am, I'm in the great state of Nevada, the Silver State. If you've never been to Nevada, you'll see a lot of this around. Because of the glitz and glamour and gambling and everything else that comes with Nevada, I'm in a very touristy type of town called Winnemucca. It is out in the middle of nowhere along Highway 80, which crosses straight across Nevada. And it's funny because we didn't come the regular way, while we came from a regular way coming from Oregon, which is straight through the middle of nowhere. And you go for hours and hours and hours without seeing sight or sound of civilization. This whole time, the reason why it's an adventure is that I came with my kids, okay, and my wife, and we rented a car, we came all the way out. And it's just as you can imagine having three kids, seven years old, four years old, and two years old. It takes a little longer, if you can't imagine it, I can't explain it, it's just it's one of those things where you just have to experience it, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I mean, honestly, I make a lot of fun of it and everything, but I really wouldn't have it any other way. If I didn't want it to be adventurous, I just would have taken a plane. And that would have been made, and it would have been nice and quiet. But I you know, you only live once and your kids only have a childhood once and I like getting them out of the house. And if I could do it on business, great, I get right off my end of it. The rest of it's all family stuff, so it doesn't work as well on taxes. So you just got to be able to split the difference there and, you know, make everything work out. Especially right, you know, talk to your accountant, I'm not, I'm not giving you any type of tax advice whatsoever, talk to a professional, it's fun, it's really a lot of fun to do, you know, we're making out making memories. The kids don't care whether you're in any place historical or any place that matters. What matters is the fun that you have along the way. I've mentioned a few nights ago about listening to old time radio, and listening to the drama and actors of that time period. And since then, there's been a whole lot of other stuff that has been put out, you know, decade after decade, other forms of audio theatre has been produced. And so I was listening to some, I had found a couple bad come out during the 70s and, and 80s some some stuff we had, we're listening to the The Hobbit being performed and Wizard of Oz and Alice Through the Looking Glass and all this stuff that, you know, no one even realizes this stuff is out there. But so much of it's out there for free. Now, you can find it in these places and so we find fun, crazy stuff to do stuff that's different and weird. And then we're just that type of family and we just have that type of life. I just want to recommend that you got to add some adventure, some color some pizzazz into your life, whether you have a family, a direct family or not to be able to share it with get out there and start having an adventure. Life is too short, it goes by too quick, have fun while you still have the chance. And if you can mix it up with business, you can make money at the same time and be able to afford to eat do everything that you're meant to do while you're on this is this earth. So hopefully that makes sense to you. We've got also my book I promote on a regular basis, AmazonProofBook.com, you can go there and get a free copy of the book that I w...

I bet you have a movie that when you watch it, it just takes you right back to your childhood. For me, that is Alice in Wonderland and can I just say, that was just my favorite of the animated Disney movies. In fact, I can still watch it today and enjoy it as if I were a kid again. I also have read Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass countless times as well and who knows, it probably will be some of my beach reading this summer when I go on vacation. There is one scene in particular that I really love where it shows this encounter that Alice has with the Cheshire Cat.Here's what I love about this scene: it reminds me of us. Jeremiah 17:9 says: "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"In Romans 3:22-24, it says:"This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."We have all fallen short of God's standard. In other words, none of us know why we do the things we do. None of us can figure us out. It's why we the enneagram is so popular as well as any of those other personality tests that we tend to put our hope in and seek all these answers from. We're all broken and we're not all mad, but we are all messy. I find so much comfort in knowing that God is the one who can figure our hearts out. God looks at you and He looks at me and He doesn't need an enneagram to figure us out. He sees the hurts you can't remember that cause the behavior you can't explain. He chased you down and captivated you while you were in the midst of rebelling against Him. So I think that's good news today to remember that you are loved and that it doesn't depend on your behavior.

This is a wonderful set of nonsense poems written by Lewis Carroll from 1874-1876. It's based on elements from his poem "The Jabberwoky" from Alice Through the Looking Glass. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/atx-storyteller/support

Through the Looking-Glass - Lewis Carroll - Book 2 Title: Through the Looking-Glass Overview: Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (also known as Alice Through the Looking-Glass or simply Through the Looking-Glass) is a novel published on 27 December 1871 (though indicated as 1872) by Lewis Carroll and the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). Alice again enters a fantastical world, this time by climbing through a mirror into the world that she can see beyond it. There she finds that, just like a reflection, everything is reversed, including logic (for example, running helps one remain stationary, walking away from something brings one towards it, chessmen are alive, nursery rhyme characters exist, and so on). Through the Looking-Glass includes such verses as "Jabberwocky" and "The Walrus and the Carpenter", and the episode involving Tweedledum and Tweedledee. The mirror above the fireplace that is displayed at Hetton Lawn in Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire (a house that was owned by Alice Liddell's grandparents, and was regularly visited by Alice and Lewis Carroll) resembles the one drawn by John Tenniel and is cited as a possible inspiration for Carroll. It was the first of the "Alice" stories to gain widespread popularity and prompted a newfound appreciation for its predecessor when it was published. Comic-Con International kicks off Thursday in San Diego and I will be there along with Team Mouse Castle and about 150,000 of our closest nerdy friends as we pack the San Diego Convention Center. It will be my first visit ever to Comic-Con, and I'm super excited to finally be a part of all the craziness. I'm also super excited about my guest today, a gentleman who will co-host a presentation at Comic-Con at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. He's one of the previsualization supervisors with Halon Entertainment, Tefft Smith. Tefft will be joining visual effects editor Ed Marsh to present “Feed Your Head: The VFX of Alice Through the Looking Glass.” Halon Entertainment is a visual effects studio in Southern California that specializes in motion picture previsualization—and what that is, I'm going to let Tefft explain. Halon has done effects work on an impressive list of films including Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, Ghostbusters, Tomorrowland, and Birdman. Their most recent collaboration with Disney, Alice Through the Looking Glass was a visually stunning return to Wonderland, directed by James Bobin and starring Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter. To tell us all about that experience, as well as his best advice on how to survive Comic-Con is Tefft Smith, my guest today in The Mouse Castle Lounge. For this interview show, Andy and Derek go down the rabbit hole in another conversation with the ever-talented, ever-entertaining Craig Yoe. They primarily discuss Craig's latest projects, Alice in Comicland and the new Weird Love series (both from IDW Publishing), but they also bring up his other books (such as Comics about Cartoonists, Haunted Horror, The Best of Sexology, and Little Penis: Oh, the Places You'll Grow!). They spend a lot of time talking about the various comics in the new Alice book, highlighting the more straight-laced adaptations, such as Chad Grothkoph's “Alice Through the Looking-Glass,” classic parodies like Harvey Kurtzman and Jack Davis's “Alice in Wonderland!”, as well as the truly bizarre and borderline-disturbing translations, e.g., Warren Kremer's “Little Max Meets Alice in Wonderland” and Serge S. Sabarsky and George O. Muhlfield's “Alice on Monkey Island.” After that things get a bit weird…with Weird Love! Craig discusses his new bimonthly series, compiled with his wife, Clizia Gussoni, and the inherently strange nature of classic romance comics. With titles such as “I Fell for a Commie,” “Love of a Lunatic,” and “You Also Snore Darling,” the guys have no problem in generating — and degenerating — offbeat and irreverent conversation. The several Golden and Silver Age stories collected in this first issue of Weird Love cover such topics as sexual politics, misogyny, the women's liberation movement, Joe Gill's cultural conservatism, bald creepy guys, and spanking. So get ready to step through the podcasting looking-glass with this sick, kinky, and bizarro conversation with one of comics' inimitable figures. And remember: Just say “Yo!” to Yoe!
